I feel bad that this post blew up right after I’d decided to switch it to a different idea. 😅

I remembered that I had to go back to work this week after being out for two months, and I’d rather not have super long and extra grabby nails when first coming back. I also wasn’t 100% sure what direction I wanted the rest of the nail art to go in.

Don’t worry, I’ll revisit the doggo set later. Once I’m back to 100% at work and I’ve drawn out my plan for the rest of the set.

May I offer a WIP of my next set instead?

I’ve been on a weight loss journey for a couple years now.

I decided I wanted to lose weight because I wanted to have the energy to go be out active in nature. Hanging out with my cats, hiking and kayaking with my husband. I barely had the energy to do my job, let alone any other activities. Plus I love alternative fashion and never felt like it looked good on my body.

My first day stepping on the scale I was 233 pounds, my goal at the time was 180 pounds.

The other day I had the distinct pleasure of throwing out over half my wardrobe because it’s all too big for me. I also just sent in some of my work uniform to get a size down in shirts and 5” off my waist in pants.

My weight goal has since moved to 140 pounds. I’m now below my original goal and sitting at just over 170 pounds. I feel so much better and I’m finally feeling like I can explore alternative fashion, like whimsy goth and pastel goth.

I’ve also been kayaking, hiking several miles at a time, have gotten into kickboxing, and just generally I am much more active.

Hey, here’s a concept. What if we stopped saying “but autistic people CAN do all those things” (erasing high support needs) and instead started saying “not being able to do those things doesn’t impact someone’s value as a person nor does it make it okay to commit eugenics”.
