hyperfocus - 2nd EP, a pretty substantial departure from their usual style, but also happens to quietly be Corpse’s favourite, and is actually y/n’s most polarising, because it has both the Grammy award winning HEARTBURN and the o brother where art thou which was written partially as a joke to capture a fond moment of them and 5SOS dicking around together in a hotel. written while on tour wit 5SOS, im writing the reader as having ADHD (because I have ADHD and i can do what i want), and the backstory is that they’d changed the medication/dosage they were taking, and as it’s their first full tour, they were under a lot of stress and were in a weird place mentally and emotionally, and hyperfocus is the result of that. i’m going through some stuff has HUGE agoraphobic vibes. 

HEARTBURN has the same vibes as Florence + The Machines’ Howl. It’s about being a demon without saying that or directly implying that unless you know demons real well. This is when the pressure for them to confirm their identity got real bad, and it was their way of working through those emotions.

They also take time to sort out their health, do a little bit more YT stuff, and travel internationally to do festivals. 

working on it - is kind of a middle ground between their original stuff, and hyperfocus, like pop-punk meets horror-pop meets whatever you’d classify halsey as. the first three songs were mostly written before the fic starts, so before they’re getting back to YT, but the last three, nightmare scenario, designed to hurt (touch me), and not scared were all written after they’d started hanging out with sykkuno and corpse. 

in-universe, imposter syndrome was originally something else, along the same lines of tired that they’re hiding that they’re a demon, but after meeting corpse nd sykkuno and having people who know, and lowkey being influenced by corpse’s music, the song changes directions, and YO OKAY YO::

First of all! I think their wedding would be set sometime in spring. The time of year where it’s not too hot and not too cool, just after all the leaves and flowers bloom. I mean think about it, Sakura petals flowing in the wind on your wedding day? What a dream.

It sounds crazy, but I always imagined Izuku as the type of person to want to have their wedding outside.. Kind of like- in a garden? Or a forest? You know that the wedding Bella and Edward had in the forest? Kind of like that! Except surrounded by flowers!

Flowers like.. Magnolia, forget-me-nots, tulips, and of course - sakura! Or, well, Cherry blossoms~ Just! Flowers that really brighten up the secluded space. You’d need seclusion, after all, especially since you are marrying the number one hero.

Wouldnt it be so cute to be married under a willow tree, a brilliant white arch covered in white roses and vines standing above you both? Ackk vines.. So beautiful. Oh! Maybe there’s even a little rock pathway down the aisle?

The air is fresh.. Because you’re in the countryside! Maybe even in the mountains. Somewhere where a little babbling brook is not too far behind the trees, its soft bubbling noises relaxing the party-goers. 

Speaking of! Wouldnt a little plant themed engagement ring be the cutest? Something like this! 

Wedding ring.. Well you both have to pick that out dont you?

The wedding day is obviously going to be the most important day for both of you! But also, nerve-wracking as hell. Im positive Izuku has probably freaked out five times since he woke up at 6AM. Maybe a mental breakdown. Yknow. 

He’s a sensitive guy! And he’s terrified! Nono, he doesnt have cold feet. He wants to marry you! He cannot imagine his life without you in it, but God is he absolutely terrified that you might be the one leaving him at the altar.

Not that he doesnt have faith in you! It’s just.. His insecurities and anxieties taking over him. Even after all these years of unconditional love, he still cant help but feel you deserve someone way better than him. And he fears one day you’ll wake up and realize that as well.

But you’d have to be absolutely crazy to even think about doing that, huh?

So yeah. Wedding day morning is filled with Izuku’s best man - Shoto - trying to calm the sporadic man down, bringing Toshi and his mom in to aid as well. He may have thrown up. Who’s to say.

You, on the otherhand, are having a great morning. You’re bouncing with excitement! Ready and oh-so impatiently waiting to marry the man of your dreams in the most scenic area you could find. It truly was a catch! A relatively cheap place - the majority of your funds were spent on food and flowers. You can get pretty good deals on wedding dresses if you’re marrying the number one hero, apparently. So long as they get to display one of your wedding photos.

Hell, it’d help a local business boom, and who wouldnt want that? You got a discount on your bridesmaids dresses as well~

A dream.

But the start time was quickly approaching. Tick-tock!

Soon enough, the both of you are ready to start a new chapter of your lives together.

The scene is set! Your husband-to-be stand beneath arch drenched in morning dew, light breaking through the trees reflecting on each little droplet and showering the little patch where your wedding was being held in brilliant lights 

It honestly looked magical, straight out of a fairy tale. Hell, you were about to marry your prince, after all

God this wedding is like every outdoorsy kid’s dream

The piano starts up once the player gets the queue that everyone is ready.

Your friends walk down the aisle first in pairs, bridesmaids with bridesmen, silky gowns flowing in the gentle spring breeze

Soon enough the flower girl trots happily down the aisle, throwing Sakura petals every which way with a happy little smile on her face, dress as white as snow and a little pink belt. 

It was truly a miracle no one tripped on the rocks yet.

Once everyone was in their place, a traditional wedding song began to play. 

Showtime.

Izuku swore he saw an angel the moment those vines swayed to reveal you.

A sunbeam hit you from behind, its golden glow cascading down your body.

Tears formed in his eyes as he watched, paralyzed, as you walked down, heels clicking against the floor

The biggest, goofiest smile cracked onto his face, eyes connecting with yours. All was going to be alright. He had nothing to fear.

He’d probably openly sob while stating his vows, hands trembling as they hold onto yours.. It’d probably be something along the lines of.. “Ever since the day I met you, i’ve become a better man. You helped me grow into who I am today. You guided me towards the path that would lead me to happiness with your loving embrace, with every word of endearment you’d whisper to me, and with love as a whole. I always wondered what it’d feel like to be loved like this, and now that I have it, and that I have you, I don’t ever want to let go of it. Because you’re it, princess. You’re the love of my life, my one and only, my soulmate, and so much more. Every day we’re apart I always think of you. You keep me going. Without you, I wouldn’t be me.”

Something cheesy, yknow! Somethin sweeter than candy corn. <3 what a sap. 

He may have had to wipe his tears a few times… cough.

Surprisingly though, his hands are super steady when he slides that ring on.

A shaky yet firm “I do,” green eyes now a shimmering viridescent as he stares at you with the purest form of love swirling in his gaze.

“You may now kiss the bride.”

His hand reaches up, delicately placing itself on your cheek. He cant help but take this moment in, condemning your smiling, angelic face to memory, the flashes of photos being taken completely ignored as he slowly leans in. 

His lips are softer than they had ever been in that moment, the kiss itself so sugary sweet - the embodiment of innocence and passion. Love.

Eyes fluttering closed, he cant help but kiss you over and over again, each one making both your smiles grow larger until giggles erupt between the two of you.

Oh boy. He had lipstick smudged all over his lips. He couldnt care less, though. Pulling you close to his body, he smiled cheekily over at the photographer for a photo.

HE’S YOUR HUSBAND NOW! IZUKU IS YOUR HUSBAND! Praise the lords. (Y/N) Midoriya has a nice ring to it, doesnt it?

The rest of the day was filled with you and Izuku being stuck together like glue, surrounded by friends and family.

The wedding photos would be filled with you two standing in a meadow, sun raining brilliantly down on the two newlyweds.

Of course, a few goofy photos have to take place! Maybe Uravity uses her quirk to make it look like the number one hero is floating away whilst you ‘run’ to try and get him.

There was even one where he and his bridesmen wear parts of their hero costumes to show off a bit. Like Deku wears his hood, Shoto wears his.. Bracelets and backback..? Stuff like that! Truly it’s a weird fuckin photo. But so so dorky and so them.

His favorite photo is definitely the one where he has you sitting on his arm as he flexes. Yep. He turned into a bit of a show off. Could you blame him? Haha.

At night is when the real fun begins. Mainly because of the party! Lanterns are set up everywhere, and due to being so far from the city- the stars are shining in the sky! Much more than youre used to.

Izuku took a dance course, unbeknownst to you (Shoto and Bakugou were forced to join him- talk about chaotic!), so that first dance together is honestly breathtaking. He’s so gentle with you, leading the way and twirling you around.

May or may not have bawled when you danced with Toshinori. 

CUTTING THE C AKE. OKAY OKAY.

It’d probably be forest themed. Green and white blending beautifully together, maybe even a little frosting stream cascading down the side. Hand made models of you and Izuku stood proudly at the top. I guess the flavor would be something you both chose together?

He loves touching your soft hands so holding that knife together is awesome for him.

Oh yea. After the perfect photo is taken, he definitely smears frosting on your cheek - just so he has an excuse to lick it off.

SO many thoughts on Frozen 2

So I've been doing a lot of thinking on Frozen 2 after reading a lot of other fan ideas, reviews, etc, and rewatching the first movie and basically obsessing myself into an interesting state of mind. I HAVE A LOT TO SAY. I accidentally wrote out a long, long, LONG post so uh, congrats if you read it. SPOILERS AHEAD FOR SURE.

1. My biggest thought by far is in regards to people saying that Elsa found herself in the first movie, and why must she struggle through who she is again? Well...because you don't stop finding yourself, and especially at a young age. I'm 33. I think I got past hurdles in expressing myself and accepting who I am, everything from what were weird interests (to me) and even my own sexuality, three of four damn times. It was annoying. And fascinating. And each time there were deep emotions and investment in it.

Elsa found in the first movie she's not a dangerous monster and that she could exist with and love her sister. That's huge, don't get me wrong! But the anxiety was still there and we still see traces of it in the second movie. It didn't up and vanish no matter how many snow toys she might make children or how many times she skated with Anna. And with that kind of high anxiety, and after years and years and YEARS of locking herself away, she was just at the start of things I'd say by the time the first Frozen ended.

It's totally reasonable, imo, that down the road after finding some acceptance in herself and Anna, she would be wondering WHY she is what she is, where she came from, as there's so much mystery in her life. Her parents left her feeling guilty, lonely, ironically powerless, locked up, and with no damn answers for herself. She needs to find herself.

Arguably, so does Anna. Again, I can make similar arguments for her, lonely in the first movie, not much contact with others, striving so hard to be close to her sister. She achieved the latter admirably, and so her journey to find who she is with access to more of the world is a big deal. She always wants to open a door. And she wants to go through each one with Elsa, which is something that had to be handled at least a little.

Again, you never really stop growing, discovering, and questioning. Elsa may have found a huge, huge part of herself, found why she is there and who she is, but I'm sure she will still struggle a little with her new place in the world. This brings me to another subject -

2. Elsa and Anna now separated. There seems to be a lot of division on this topic, and I get it. I didn't really want them apart either. They really do belong in each other's company. And a note, I don't ship Elsa and Anna, so maybe I've lost some of you here ahaha (I don't really ship anyone though). I love their close cuddly sister relationship a lot and felt they were absolutely robbed of it for so long which is probably WHY they often hug, hold hands, touch each other, are somehow right with each other.

However...at least for the time being I think it's also important for their growth as characters. Elsa and Anna both care for Arendelle, but Elsa didn't feel she was 'meant' to be there, so to force herself there for her sister could be damaging when understandably, she would want to understand more about the spirits and the forest that gifted her mother with her. She is a part of the forest, of the Ahtohallan. And to force herself into a role she isn't dedicated to wouldn't be in Arendelle's best interest, so she wouldn't want that either. Elsa has shown she needs that understanding of her role, needs to be where she feels right, somewhere that speaks to her, and for now that is in the forest with the Northuldra people.

Anna loves Arendelle, loves the people, and to ask her to stay in a place where she doesn't belong wouldn't be right either. Sure, part of probably just nodded and said yes because Elsa proposed the split, but Anna also learned that she can do what can be done without her sister. Thinking her sister was dead, she still put on foot in front of the other and achieved her goal of destroying the dam. I do believe for now just the knowledge of knowing Elsa is alive and thriving is enough for her to feel happy.

They also see each other. That much is left clear to us and it's not a long journey for Elsa lol. Probably not for Anna either when Elsa can guide wind, earth and water to help. ...Fire too but yea lol.

They are apart just enough. Elsa can still drop in and have Anna cuddle her to sleep while Kristoff does...idk...talks with Sven. For as many cuddle nights as I imagine those two have had, Kristoff is a pretty chill dude.

3. The parents. Hooboy the parents. A very valid criticism is that Elsa and Anna's parents treated Elsa totally mcfreaking WRONG and yet so much centers around them, and then suddenly Elsa is dueting with her momma in Ahtohallan and crying.

Yea there's some confusing emotions going on there.

The girls loved their parents a lot regardless of if they really messed up. I am sure Elsa didn't know how to feel but didn't want to lose them as she already felt alone and hidden. The topic has come up that her dad knew the forest, her mom was FROM THE FREAKIN PLACE, so how did they mishandle so badly?

Panic, I think. I view it as a lot of panic, for many reasons. Anna being hurt was the primary one, but I wondered if they thought it could indeed lead to the forest waking up and causing trouble. They didn't expect magic outside the forest, didn't know what impact it could have and Iduna never exactly counted on having Elsa as she was.

I don't think they were bad people. Just unprepared and I kind of think this is how it went down with Ahtohallan as well. I posted about this before but I feel like...her parents weren't able to cross, not even her mom, because of how they squandered their gift. They took something wonderful and locked her away, made her conceal and hide from the spirits that wanted to connect with her. So when they decided to sail off and find answers and leave the girls alone, the spirits said "nope, you messed up, you don't get to come in here" and down went their ship.

But to complete Elsa there had to be something, they had to connect her with her mother's heritage and tie her to her meaning in the world. So, Ahtohallan showed her Iduna. Her parents loved her and if there's one major theme in these movies and characters it is the power of love along with self acceptance. Love is what brought Elsa as she was into the world! And that strong emotion and realization resonated, so we see Iduna as a large key.

Whoosh, Im getting tired, and I'm pretty sure I have more to say...but I'll craft that more later.

Some of my leftover thoughts right now are pretty short...I feel Elsa was displayed as ace, but that really depends on the viewer anyway. As much as I would love to see Honeymaren and Elsa, the brief snippets in the movie don't do it for me, but I am sort of relieved to see Elsa having a friend. She deserves a friend that isn't her sister or her sister's fiance or a...snowman. I'm not sure she really tried to bond with anyone in Arendelle, being that she was still sorting her life out after the events of the first movie.

But maybe there will be some more releases of official material, and we'll see. I just hope some of the absolute hate for Kristoff and Anna stops. I'm not overly into it, it's just kind of a boring dynamic to me right now, but not every romantic relationship is super exciting and stuff. They fit well and we see that Kristoff's first words to her after being lost in the woods are "I'm here. What do you need?" He's a good guy, stop hatin' on him.

Oh! That brings me to another thought though - I read a couple of posts where others felt he interrupted Elsa and Anna's moment at the end of the movie. I couldn't disagree more! Elsa didn't display any negative emotion toward it. I think she was happy for her sister, wanting her as happy as she could be in that moment, and the proposal added right in. Anna had felt alone and at her rope's end in the cave, then she got her sister back and after running off on him sort of, Kristoff proposing. Elsa saw her sister elated. And Anna got to have her sister as part of that momentous life event!

Besides, Kristoff is one of those Elsa counts as everyone she's ever loved within those walls. When they met again she embraced him too. I think Elsa was happy to have family again, have it fuller and to know someone she trusts will be there with Anna as she rules. Kristoff's a silly character and it's hard not to write him off when he's alongside such bright stars as Elsa and Anna, but he has a good, solid role. He belongs and so did that part of the moment.

Ugh, and I thought I was tired before...

Guess this is where I wrap this up!

Please, if any of you want to talk about this, even to disagree, don't hesitate to drop an ask or message. I don't want anyone to think I'm actively crapping on their interpretation - this is how it came across to me and after my third viewing I was finally able to get this written. If you didn't like the ending, that's okay, and if you ship Elsa and Anna, Kristoff and Ryder, Elsa and Honeymaren, Olaf and Gale, you do you and follow your shippy heart.

I've been combing the internet for some good info on n. argentii and n. bellii since I'm super keen on the really tiny species, do you have any good info on them or know any other smaller nepenthes? where do you usually look for reputable sellers if you're looking to buy species that aren't super common? thanks for any help you can offer! 8 )

ok i hope you dont mind me taking a hot second to talk about these smol carnivorous nepenthes babs and related smol carnivorous nepenthes babs because i never get to talk about the individual nepenthes species and i love them so much

background knowledge: nepenthes is a genus of tropical pitcher plants. they are largely vine-based plants that survive off of catching bugs in leaves adapted into cup-like appendages filled with digestive fluid; insects fall in the digestive fluid and are eaten alive. all nepenthes species are, in essence, a variation on this theme. 

ok first, nepenthes argentii is like……..so good and pure………like i want one too but im poor and they’re rather hand to care for (ill get there in a hot second). this species is the smallest nepenthes species known to date, and was discovered in 1989 on the peaks of a few mountains on a small island in the phillipines. it looks like this: (x) (x)

this plant. this plant. this plant is like. the purest plant. like my favorite literature ive read so far on it is this account published in a ICPS newsletter of a small 2005 expedition into the mountains to gather more information and samples on both argentii and the other main nepenthes species living there, sibuyanensis. lets see what these scientists have to say about these smol boys in the wild:

“…From our observations we conclude that N. argentii is almost an obligate petrophyte growing in the rock crevices or among boulders, where it may avoid surrounding low vegetation…We did not find any plants under the shrubs, but cannot exclude the possibility of having missed them. Nepenthes argentii is not very frequent and the whole population consists of some hundreds of plants- the only ones in the world! We counted 14 rosettes in the largest group, but whether it was an individual plant or more plants in one bunch, we are not sure. Most of the plants consisted of an individual rosette usually with very low stems; the maximal measured height was 25 cm.”

the rest of the paper talks about a variety of things, including the small seed yield, plant care, and it’s habitat. this plant is difficult because of it’s slow growth and the fact that it’s a very high highland plant with few blooms. by “highland” i mean that it grows at very high elevation where it’s cooler. for these plants to grow, many serious growers choose to build special refrigeration chambers that replicate a cloud forest in both humidity and temperature (and clouds, using special foggers and fans!). this particular species is less rigid in its temperature needs, but some highland species are veeerrryyy specific (within a 10-20 degree window at all times). 

aaaannnyway. these are very hard to get a hold of due to their low flowering rates and slow growth and germination. generally, I try to stick to reputible US sellers (california carnivores, Sarracenia northwest, and the like) but there are a few international sellers that are pretty reputable, the best being Wistuba, a massive international carnivorous plant store run by botanist Andreas Wistuba. this site tends to have some of the more exotic ones (Wistuba focuses professionally on taxonomy, and therefore has some stranger specimens from time to time) but I’ve heard that these plants aren’t always as healthy as other plant stores that might charge a little more. for carnivore plant stores in general, I would hiiiighhhhly recommend the savage garden subreddit’s list of vendors. 

side note: on the note of really touchy rare highland species, something thats permanently featured on the sidebar of the savage garden subreddit is an article published in an ICPS issue back in 2003. its written by a dude with an electrical engineering phd who converted a literal chest freezer into a very specific niche habitat for one of the rarest and touchiest highland species in existence, Nepenthes villosa. to give an example of what this guy is up against in this article, this is a plant that needs nights between 36 and 39 degrees F and days between 55 and 61 degrees F. it’s…extremely impressive. please read it, or at least look at the pictures of this amazing feat. you may be wondering, ‘what plant could possibly possess a man to convert a chest freezer in to an extremely specific growth environment for a plant?’ and the answer is this one (nepenthes villosa):

anyway. so next is n. bellii, and I…actually don’t know much about this one, but it’s a very cute and good smol bab and im excited to know about it now:

as for more smol babies, i looooove smol nepenthes species so I have a few recommendations!

Nepenthes glabrata (highland/highland intermediate):

Nepenthes ampullaria (lowland i think??? also pic is of a cultivar in coloration terms)

a really pretty tiny one is the Nepenthes mirabilis var. globosa hybrid! again, hybrids are cheaper and often intermediate-climate and heartier:

nepenthes aristolochioides hybrids can be small and affordable depending what its mixed with, and also are usually intermediate and way heartier in terms of care. or, of course, you could go for the purebred species, which can be, um…kind of expensive. not saying the non-hybrids aren’t worth it though, i mean look at that:

and then, of course, if you aren’t set 200% on a nepenthes species, you could go for a cephalotus follicularus, a species from southwestern australia that I’m personally quite fond of. It’s a slow grower, small, compact, and is very rewarding! some people say they’re hard to care for, but in my opinion they really aren’t.

My Unrestricted Opinions on Stranger Things 2

First off, i loved the 80′s vibe in the first season and i still love it now its so damn good. One of those things i never knew i needed until i saw it. Like the theme song has to be one of my favorites of all time, it just captures the essence of the show so perfectly god dAMN. 

But before i talk about the rest of the  Good Shit i gotta get some stuff off my chest about this cause oooOOOHHHHH boy there was some weird shit with this season.

Problem #1.

Max served no purpose. I kept waiting for her and billy to like,,,,, do something??? Like max kinda just followed the boys around, and billy was an antagonist to steve, but like, for what purpose?? Its not even that i dont like them, its more that i dont care about them cause we weren’t given any reason to care about them. So if anything, i really hope season 3 does something about that

Problem #2.

Mike didnt do shit in this season either. I really liked his character in season 1, but in this one, anything having to do with him or his development involved him pining over eleven or some shit, and that was fine and all, it served a purpose, but i would have liked to see a little more of his development with other characters too. Like the scene where he talked with will, that was GOOD SHIT, i wish there was more stuff like that.

Problem #3.

The entire plot line with dart. HoLy FuCK. Dustin what the fUCK? Why are you keeping this horrifying lamprey-pollywog thing????????? Did you not learn your lesson about weird creature bullshit from last year? especially after you watched it sprout fucking LEGS out of the sides of its body??????? that shit aint natural!! And what the fuck are the chances of discovering a new species of that complexity in the middle of god damn iNDIANA? Amazon rain forest, i could see. Galapagos islands? For sure. But BOY sure as hell not in the middle of the US of A. But for the sake of argument, lets say he just got real excited and weirdly attached to dart (Which i know is what they were going for, but god damn that decimated the ever-loving shit out of my suspension of disbelief). So Will, obviously aware of the fact that he spit up a worm boy that looked suspiciously similar to  dart. They even show us a got dang flashback. WHY THIS BITCH AINT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT IT UNTIL ITS TOO GOD DAMN LATE?????????? ooooOOOHhh that really salted my apples, like i blame that shit 100% more on will than i do on dustin. And in the last episode where dustin meets full grown dart in the tunnels and then…..,,,, i dont even know what the fuck happened? ??? ? I thought the demodogs were a part of the hive-mind? Why was dart exempt from this? Like he physically should have not been able to break from the hive mind, heckin WILL could barely break from it. My ONLY guess is that Dustin left a bit of imprinting on dart as a baby worm, but like even thats a bit of a stretch for me.

Problem #4.

Love triangles. Ive never been a fan of them, and i likely never will.

Problem #5.

The overall ost for this season was not as impressive to me as the first season’s. Like i remember specific tracks from scenes in the first season, but i didnt get any of that with this one. It wasn’t bad by any means, but it definitely wasn’t that memorable.

Problem #6.

Ok, i fully realize this is 1 000 000% a me problem, but fuck this show for getting the Stalker Song stuck in my head. Now dont get me wrong, i absolutely adore The Police, theyre one of my favourite bands, but oooohhhhhhhhhHHHHHHH why is their most popular song Every Breath You Take? I remember when my mom first showed me that ear blood and she told me how it was mega popular when she was in highschool, and it would always be played as a slow song at the dances and i was astounded by this????? Its about this dude’s creepy stalker-attachment to a girl and ahhhh?????????? why was that a good candidate for slow dance music? Also i just think it sounds like shit, especially compared to their other stuff (actually i hate their entire Synchronicity album but thats completely unrelated to this). So knowing all this, i remember sitting there watching the snow ball scene and then it dawned on me that it would 100% be a possibility that  the stalker song could play, and when it did i think i died a little bit. Like y’all couldn’t have played Every Little Thing She does is Magic??? thats the real good shit, not this schloppy garbage. The ONLY redeeming quality to this choice in song was that it acted as a really nice duality to the fact that the shadow monster is also watching every move they make as the lyrics suggest, which i thought definitely fit the song very nicely.

Ok now that i got that all out of the way i can talk about the Good Stuff

 First off, id like to just acknowledge the fact that all these kids are such good actors? like holy shit, especially millie, so god damn talented, im crying

Every scene with Hopper and eleven were so good. Their character dynamic was so good. They played off each other spectacularly, and i hope we get more in season 3. Like they were hands down the best part of this season for me, no questions asked. The scene with eleven’s psychic tantrum was my absolute favourite, it was shot so well, the dialogue was perfect, you could understand  why both of them were so rightfully upset, i just loved it.

Another spectacular scene this season was the one where joyce plays back the footage will took halloween night, and she sees the shadow monster outlined in the static of the tv screen. holy shit did that blow my mind. Gave me the same feeling as her communicating to will through the christmas lights last season, pure gold.

I also continued to enjoy all the dnd analogies they used, like True Sight was such a good metaphor for what they thought will was experiencing.

Just the entirety of episode seven honestly.

STEVE what a good father of five, i really loved his turn of character in the last season and he is such a wholesome person and im glad he and nancy broke up cause fuck nancy, she served a purpose but i never liked her character, she dont deserve steve.

I also was really not expecting to like bob as much as i did. he was just such a good-hearted person. I was also not expecting him to die. rip bob and rip joyce’s sanity.

THE AESTHETIC OF THE SHADOW MONSTER WAS SO SO GOOD HOLY SHHHHHHHH and i really loved the fake out where we thought will would be the spy into the upside down, and then it turned out the shadow monster was actually using will as the spy, that was goooood shit. like when the realization hits that will set up the trap for the lab guys in the tunnels, that was so so good.

Thats about all i can think of right now, the rest of it i thought was good, just nothing that stood out like above mentioned things. I may add more if i think of any

madi: whether it is for work or for their personal choices, these two amazing guests like to travel a lot. so we will be asking them a few questions about it. we’ll start with kana, the member of the popular kpop gorup EXO! Good evening kana! Welcome on the fourth episode of blonde and bubbly, we’re so happy to have you! 

kana: How are you feeling? Whuss good Madz. I’m very honoured to be here. Caught all your previous episodes so I’m feeling very good about being a guest and being here right now. Fourth episodes a charm. 

madi: so as you know, today we're going to talk about traveling! It's a subject i love because we feel like everyone can gain a lot by getting out of their city and discover their country or the wolrd. So you travel a lot right? Where have you been so far? Is it for work or for fun? 

kana: traveling is always a good idea for work and play. and especially for opening your mind you’re right. staying home is no way to live if you have the means to go beyond. yes indeed i have travelled quiet a bit. i like to think it’s been a good mix of both reasons. i’ve travelled most of asia. so South Korea, Thailand, China, Japan, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Dubai. Most of those have been for work. Then for fun and some work I’ve been to a lot of major cities all over the U.S. I’ve been to Mexico, Italy, Greece, Hawaii, Canada, Paris in France, Australia, Amsterdam, London, Edinburgh, Manchester, the Maldives, and home to Ireland. so, very well travelled. I do think I mostly end up traveling for work purposes but I’m trying to make this year the year I expand it more for fun. 

madi: this is so interesting! do you have any exciting story to share about a place you've visited once? 

kana: well actually just yesterday i arrived back from dubai where one of our songs was played and given a whole show at the dubai fountain which was a pretty amazing honour and reason to visit there. having something you’ve worked on being played at the biggest choreographed fountains in the world and especially being given a ceremony for it was pretty amazing. i think dubai is one of my favourite places and this has been my second time back there in the space of twelve months. the last time being the trip with the rest of the hills cast way back when. definitely a great experince both times but this one was super special. 

madi: where is your favorite traveling location?

kana: my favourite location is hawaii. now i think i’m partially biased in my reasoning only because my older sister lives there on oahu so any time i go there i get to spend quality time with my niece. but even if she didn’t, i’d still pick hawaii because lost used to be my favourite tv show and it was filmed on the islands and i ADORE forests and anywhere with trees of all kinds so getting to really just get lost on the islands is my favourite thing because i am very much a keep to myself person 99% of the time and hawaii allows me to just get out there on my own.

madi: what about the worst place you've seen?

kana:  worst place i’ve been ? probably either china or the u.k. its split. china only because everything is so fast paced and clustered and its a lot to take in at once. don’t get me wrong i love the country as a whole and i’m moderately fluent in mandarin it’s just too much. as for the u.k it’s like home. ireland is only barely an hour across the water from it and it’s just pretty similar except ten times worse. i tend to avoid it to be honest. 

madi: do you own a jet?

kana: yes indeed i do. i have my own baby which takes me all over the globe. i only ever fly commercial if it’s work related. or if i’m flying home. but always premium first class. has to be done.

madi: any tips for anyone who would like to start traveling and exploring the world?

kana:  I think...... uh... personally i’ve been fortunate to have the means to be able to travel this much. but for anyone who doesn’t really have that opportunity i think saving is a big thing. save up and kind of map your trips as best you can so you don’t get stuck. if it’s your first time heading off i would generally advise not going alone because you’ll be so new to everything on that first off trip. apart from that all i can really say is just don’t be afraid to go for it but do make sure to always always be respectful. if you are traveling, especially on a continent that isn’t the one you’re from, be respectful of other people’s culture and their traditions and what they deem acceptable social behavior and activities. learn about the world and it’s different walks of people as you travel. if you’re just going to make fun of a new place or act the absolute twat in a different country, just stay at home.

madi: thank you so much kana for coming! What can we expect from you for 2018? Any projects you'd like to talk about?

kana: thank you for having me. it’s been a pleasure. in the rest of 2018 i think you’ll see a bunch of different activities from me within exo, as per usual. we have a few tour dates over the next few months as well as a japanese comeback so i hope you’ll anticipate those. as for me and my solo endeavors who knows. i do make my debut as an actor at some point in the next few months and who knows you just might see published author kana oh this year too. but that’s all relatively hush hush for right now.

madi: do you have any interesting story to share about a place you've visited once? 

kazi: one time me and fitz got arrested in monaco for being drunk and not listening to a police officer, that was pretty funny.. gia bailed us out of jail that night, thanks gia! 

madi: where is your favorite traveling location? 

kazi: i have a love hate relationship with dubai but i think it’s my favorite. or fiji, when me and mia spent a week there for our honey moon it was really amazing. 

madi:  what about the worst place you've seen?

 kazi: uhhh..i don’t know. i think i’ve liked all the places i’ve been. 

 madi:  do you own a jet? 

 kazi: i don’t, however me and mia just decided the other day we’re gonna get one so it’s easy to travel with the whole family. so soon i will!

kazi: i’d say before you go somewhere do some research and figure out some cool things to do there.. like you can go skiing at an indoor ski place in dubai, or go to a geothermal spa in iceland, just gotta look it up and find the fun stuff to do.
