My highlights from Casa Mañana’s Wild West Cats production !

This production was genuinely so beautiful, and it got my mom into cats ! First, my bragging; Sillabub and Rumpleteazer kept on interacting with me ! They both came up to my mom and messed with her (Sillabub cuddled up on her shoulder, Rumpleteazer played with her knee) and during the singing portion of the jellicle ball me and Rumpleteazer had a cat fight over the pit ! Second, disclaimer for Demelurina shippers (me and one very specific moot. You know who you are.) they are definitely played as sisters in this show . But now, the show !! (Under cut as it’s quite long)

The music is a lot more upbeat and country compared to the 1998 film (that’s what every comparison is based on as it’s the only other one I’ve seen)

Jellicle songs for Jellicle cats is pretty much the same, but instead of the cats appearing and inspecting the audience there is someone playing a human who works at the stock yard that they are inspecting ! Introducing an actual human figure in cats was a bit jarring but it’s only at the beginning .

In the naming of cats each cat reacts when their name is said, which really helped me with figuring out who is who !

Instead of the old gumbie cat being a tap number, it’s a line dance number ! You’ll notice this a lot . Also in this song, it’s easier to see that Demeter is played as a lot younger of a character, she seems to be just about Victoria’s age in how she acts .

Jenny says “thanks ya’ll !” At the end of the song instead of “thank you my dears !”

The Rum Tum Tugger !! I was skeptical if I would like this Tugger after seeing the promo, but Clifton Samuels is an absolutely phenomenal Tugger !

Misto says the “terrible bore” line and looks a little … well, annoyed while saying it, but the rest of the song (especially the end) he is absolutely into Tugger ! He’s even part of the crowd of kittens fanning over him !

Bustopher Jones was bad . They had actual edible hot dogs that he took way too many bites of while signing it was very gross . He said “well, shit !” At the end instead of “toodle pippin” as well .

Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer ! Their number was so fun, it started on a trampoline (which btw, amazing breath control ! They sung beautifully while jumping on a trampoline !) and then they started running around the stage as usual . Rumpleteazer jumped on Mungojerrie’s back and yelled “yeeehaw !!” . They made a seesaw out of a tin and wooden plank !! After that they pulled Texas flag printed cowboy hats out of the tin and yelled “yeehaw !!” . At one point Mungojerrie pulls Rumpleteazer by her legs and lifts her up upside down, WHILE THEYRE SINGING ! Not a single voice crack ! Their performance was genuinely beautiful I could not ask for more, the only gripe I have with it is that they didn’t do a tandem cartwheel :( .

It was at this point that I started to realize the cast was smaller, and as it went on I saw that Cassandra and Jellylorum were merged, meanwhile Coricopat and Tantomile were cut completely, as well as many of the other kittens .

The Jellicle ball was a part line dance part square dance sequence that was actually very enjoyable ! They did have interesting pairings however… most notably Victoria and Skimbleshanks, Mistoffelees and Rumpleteazer, and Demeter and Mungojerrie .

The Plato/Victoria partner dance was cut, in exchange for Old Deut using a handkerchief to pretend to lasso the other cats towards him ! The cats pretend to lasso each other a lot in the entire show, it’s very cute .

After the jellicle ball dancing a cowboy hat with a jeweled crown was revealed, and almost placed on Victoria before Grizabella appeared .

We didn’t get a Grizabella the glamour cat reprise, it went straight into the Memory prelude .

And that was Act 1 ! Someone else sat next to me after intermission and I learned that their (adoptive) Cousin played Plato/MaCavity ! It was very fun information .

Moments of happiness ! Korie Lee Blossy’s voice was magical, I will never get enough of it . Honorable mention to Demeter and Bombalurina laying all over each other during the song !

Gus the theatre cat was nothing special, he did have a guitar however, and later was given a fiddle . The awful battle of the pekes and pollicles was used as Growltigers last stand is usually used, with Gus playing the part of Rumpus Cat .

During the moments where they bark back and forth in pekes and the pollicles , they were playing cornhole ! I’m pretty sure the pollicles won this night .

SKIMBLESHANKS OH MY GOD SKIMBLESHANKS IT WAS ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL I WILL NEVER EXPERIENCE SOMETHING AS GREAT AS THAT !!! All of the opt ups Jackson Dunlap did were beautiful ! They had a covered wagon with a smoking bucket as their locomotive, a haybale that Misto and Plato (i think?) were sitting on and playing cards (which were ginormous), a couple tins as the seats for the coach that the queens were sitting on and acting out being on a train, and haybale for the back of the train that Munkustrap sat on . Tugger was working the wheels, using the same wooden plank that Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer used for the seesaw ! It was genuinely such a fun number I loved every second of it .

MaCavity has an actual lasso that he used to kidnap Old Deut !

MaCavity was super fun as well, Demeter was played a bit younger and this version focused a lot more on their attraction to MaCavity, but the both of them both had a moment there they snapped out of it and got really angry and it was seriously beautiful .

There is an LED sign that says “cattlemen’s smoke house” on the left side of the stage that MaCavity messes with after the fight, making it only light up “cat” .

Magical Mr Mistoffelees !! His change from Quaxo to Misto wasn’t that different . He was a lot less sparkly than other versions, instead getting a new vest with a sherif badge and… what’s that… two pistol holsters ?!?!! THEY GAVE MISTO GUNS !! Anyways after Misto brought back Old Deut he shared a very flirtatious fist bump with Tugger if I do say so myself ! Misto did do the conjuring turns btw !! I was anxious to see if he would and he did !!

Oh my god memory…. Memory was so beautiful Jackie Burns did amazingly her voice was heavenly, it was so emotional and gorgeous . I would say more but really it left me at a loss for words she was amazing .

Before Memory started and they were just talking about the jellicle choice, there was a spotlight on Gus .

Journey to the Heaviside layer, the crowned hat that was almost given to Victoria was given to Grizabella as she walked up the pathway to the Heaviside layer . The pathway was a sign in the middle of the stage that said “mule yard” .

At the end of the show, before the bows when a couple got up early right as Rumpleteazer was walking down the hall. She followed right behind him and pretended to scratch at his back until she was finally free .

Overall it was such a beautiful show and very fun to see, the cast was insanely talented and did amazing work.

It was the night of the big concert, and Y/N was in her element. The crowd outside the venue was buzzing with excitement, the lights of the city shimmering like stars above. She stood backstage, adjusting her mic and smoothing out the glamorous, floor-length gown that hugged her figure perfectly. As one of the most famous singers in the world, she had performed for packed arenas before, but tonight felt different.

She couldn’t put her finger on it, but there was an energy in the air—something electric, something... personal. And that wasn’t just the fans’ excited anticipation. No, it was the presence of one particular person that was making her heart flutter.

Alastor.

The man who had become an unexpected part of her life, a charming yet mysterious radio personality who’d appeared in her life out of nowhere, offering both a support system and a challenge she hadn't expected. He wasn’t just any man—he was entirely different, with his old-fashioned suit and charismatic, smooth voice. The way he smiled with that devilish glint in his eye. Y/N shook her head, her lips curving into a smile despite herself. “You’re such a dork.”

The moment their eyes met in the mirror, Y/N felt that familiar, magnetic pull between them. It wasn’t something that could be ignored, even if they both tried. The teasing, the banter—it had all led to this. She had always known there was something more, something unspoken between them.

The show was a roaring success, as expected. The stage lights bathed her in warm hues, and the sound of the crowd singing along to her songs was enough to make her heart race. She could feel Alastor's eyes on her throughout the entire performance, his gaze sharp but full of admiration, never leaving her for a second.

When the concert finally ended, and the roaring applause slowly faded, Y/N made her way backstage, the adrenaline from the performance still buzzing in her veins. She had barely taken two steps before Alastor was there, offering her a glass of champagne with a grin.

"Well done, darling. A flawless performance," he said with a twinkle in his eye, his voice smooth and velvety.

"Thank you, Al," she replied, taking the glass from him with a smile. She could feel his presence all around her, as usual, but tonight there was something different. Something in the way he was looking at her that made her pulse quicken.

She leaned in close, just enough that he could feel the heat of her body next to his. “You’re looking awfully sharp tonight. Might be I’m not the only one getting all the attention,” she teased, her lips brushing against his cheek as she playfully kissed his skin, leaving a faint lipstick mark.

Alastor froze for a moment, clearly surprised by her forwardness, before letting out a low chuckle. "Is that how it’s going to be, hmm?" His eyes narrowed playfully, but there was something more behind them, something deeper.

Y/N raised an eyebrow. "I don’t know... Is that a problem?"

Her lips were just inches away from his neck as she traced her finger along his jawline. Alastor seemed to be struggling to maintain his usual composure, and that made her grin. It wasn’t often that she got to see him disarmed like this.

“No problem at all,” Alastor replied, his voice a little lower now, tinged with something unmistakable. “I find your... boldness charming, darling.”

With that, he reached out, pulling her closer by the waist. The movement was fluid, confident, and before Y/N could register what was happening, Alastor's lips were on her neck. The sensation of his touch sent a shiver down her spine, and she gasped, eyes fluttering shut as he nipped at her skin, leaving his own mark on her.

Her hands found their way into his hair, fingers threading through the strands, tugging him closer as she let herself enjoy the feeling of his lips against her skin. hands cup the base of your neck, bringing you in, "come here. i can't fucking do this anymore."

lips crash into yours, the entire world falling away as your lashes flutter, mouth parting so he can have further access. his fingers squeeze, tightening as you loop an arm around his neck.

pulling away, he catches his breath, "i don't give a fuck anymore. okay? i need the world to know who you are. i need them to know that you're mine. i need everyone to know how much i fucking love you."

Welcome back!! Oh man, I live for this! I would love to share the list of my favorite roles of Jon Bernthal!

But first, special shout-out to @darlingshane for the beautiful gifset of Braxton's oral fixation.

Before I start, one thing I will note is a lot of Jon's roles are not large in terms of screen time, but they are magnificent in terms of the impact on the story; so even if he is on the screen for only five, ten minutes, you'll love his performance. You know the saying "there are no small roles, only small actors"? Yeah, that so accurately applies to Jon. I respect the shit out of him for putting so much effort and talent into each role, big or small.

That said, here are my favorites! (These are all shows/movies I've watched more than once, not just for Jon, but because I actually do enjoy the plots.)

Mikey Berzatto - The Bear

The Bear is listed as a comedy, but I would call it a drama about mental illness with a sprinkle of comedy thrown in.

You'll notice my profile icon is the of this scene. Mikey is my favorite fictional character, hands down. ❤️ Mikey broke my heart and I have no words for how much I love him for it.

Jon is in only one episode per season, but oh man, he makes those few episodes so worth it. His acting is so phenomenal that he won an Emmy for this role.

Terrance Swaino - Small Engine Repair

Small Engine Repair has been a personal project of Jon's with his friend John Pollono. It started out as a play written by Pollono many years ago (in which Bernthal and Pollono both starred), and in about 2019, Bernthal and Pollono turned it into a movie.

The movie is about three friends getting justice for the mistreatment of one of their daughters, and the writing is spectacular. Jon plays a hilarious, lovable, trashy character. I would watch this movie even if Jon wasn't in it, it's that good. Highly recommend.

Shane Walsh - The Walking Dead

I think The Walking Dead needs no introduction.

Shane is a controversial character to many, but we in the Jon fandom adore him. I will stand by the claim that Shane has never done a thing wrong in his life.

Matt Rayburn - Wind River

Oh Matt...dear Matt...he will forever have a special place in my heart.

Wind River is a drama from Taylor Sheridan (creator of Yellowstone, 1923, Lioness) about the investigation of a murder on the Wind River Indian Reservation. It is a dark, emotional movie, so prepare yourself for the heavy material.

Jon is in this movie for ten minutes, and is able to create an incredibly moving character in that time. I won't say more to not give away spoilers about the plot, so I'll just say the whole cast is very talented.

Braxton - The Accountant / The Accountant 2

Moving on to a lighter movie, The Accountant movies (2016, 2025) are about brothers Christian and Braxton, played by Ben Affleck and Jon. Christian is an autistic accountant who works for criminal organizations and Brax is a hitman. They are fun action movies, and Ben and Jon's chemistry is hilarious to watch.

Sam Rossi - Sweet Virginia

Sweet Virginia is about the aftermath of a hired hit. Jon's role in Sweet Virginia is one of his softest, sweetest characters, Sam Rossi. And he has quite the impressive beard. I'd give this movie plot a 6/10, but Jon looks so scrumptious that it's worth it.

Blake - The Unforgivable

The Unforgivable is about a recently-released ex-con, played by Sandra Bullock, trying to learn to navigate her life outside of prison, while attempting to rebuild her relationship with her family.

Jon plays her sweet coworker / love interest. His brown eyes are so adorable that we can forgive the mustache.

And this wraps up the top movies and shows I'd recommend. Of course, Jon has other roles, but these are the ones most significant to me.

Lastly, a big role I've left off is Frank Castle from The Punisher. The Jon fandom loves Frank, but I have not been a fan of Marvel in a long time, so I actually have not seen it. So that's the only reason he's not on this list.

Michael Sheen=the greatest.

Despite how exhausted he was after Thursday's performance (he was on FIRE that night) he still took the time to see all of his adoring fans at the stage door and make loads of people's day.

Friday's stage door was truly magical, and the energy in the crowd was off the charts. Loads of hardcore fans and talented fanartists were there and it became a spontaneous mini Ineffable Sheen Convention of sorts.

Everyone was interacting and supporting each other like the fabulous family we are. One girl was so nervous she almost threw up. Another adorable fan had a full-on breakdown of the most joyous and beautiful kind after meeting their hero. Shy and trembling fans were gently encouraged and helped by the complete strangers next to them (as well as MS himself).

An international delegation of Sheenie fans comprised of some of the loveliest and most talented people on earth, all brought together by our adoration of this beautiful man.

So many hugs, happy tears, stories and wee handmade gifts were exchanged. I am so grateful to have been lucky enough to be a part of it all.

And yes, that's his handwritten bratty Bastille Azi quote on my collarbone, freshly tattooed this morning in Soho (he kindly wrote it on a post-it note for the specific purpose).

Oh, and then this happened. Irene, you are a cinnamon roll and we all think you're just the bee's knees ☺️

Toward the end of my third magical stage door encounter I finally had the wherewithal to ask for a photo. Still not brave enough to request a hug but my hand went straight for his glorious tummy of its own accord. My brain ceased to function at that point and I am now deceased 💀

There are no words to describe how grateful I am to Michael, the phenomenal cast and the best fandom on earth for this unforgettable experience. I genuinely hope MS knows how loved he is and how much we appreciate all he does. This world is a better place because of him 🖤

I've seen a lot of "gifted kid burnout" posts and also a few "where do we go to post studyblr stuff when we're bad students and don't get good grades" so I'm here to talk about my own experience of "I've never been a gifted kid and I've never been a good student".

I'm not a gifted kid. In fact, there was no "gifted kid" system in my country at all. And instead of multiple choice questions or true or false questions, we had to memorize pages and pages of our textbook and write them down during three hour exams. You can't get "a" and "the" wrong or you lose points, that's how much memorization we had to do. We didn't get electives until our last two years of high school and the electives were "biology or economics?" Yeah, those were the only two. Even at my university, I didn't get to choose my own electives. Everything came in a neat little box that you can never escape. And we never, EVER get full marks in Burmese or English. 80 out of 100 is considered phenomenal and no one's ever gotten more than 82 in either subject. So our matriculation exam's full mark is 600 but the most you can get is 550.

Suffice to say, the education system sucked and I don't like memorization so my grades were 50% at most. I failed my math and physic classes with 28 marks out of 100 for a whole two years, only barely passing on midterms and end of year exams. For my matriculation exam I got 340 out of 600, which is SUBPAR. That's 2.0 GPA btw. I never thought of myself as educated or a good student and I still don't.

But I love languages and I realize that while languages seem hard to learn and have strict rules, they actually don't. You can move them around and learn them however you like. So as an avid reader, I started learning languages so that I will be able to read books in those languages and I found studying liberating. Why not? I'm no longer memorizing 600 pages of text book and writing them down.

I realize that I love learning and studying when I get to choose what I learn. So I stopped caring about grades and started learning things that I love. Hey, do you know what's the biggest side effect of learning things that you love and not caring about grades? It's that you actually start to learn and your grades start to come up. I realize I perform badly when I am stressing out about my grades. This is why you're seeing all my 100% grade and 80% grade all over my walls. It's not because I'm a good student. It's because I've let go of the notion that I HAVE to be a good student.

I can talk about my bad grades as freely as I can talk about my good grades. I can tell you that I've been learning Japanese for ten seven years and I'm only JLPT N3 level. Honestly, you know what? The experience was phenomenal. I miss her so much.

It was my first time ever 1. being in London and 2. seeing Patti LuPone live.

I have to thank my friend who had a spare ticket because I couldn't go otherwise since my money was tight. (Will lick the walls instead of food now) but it was SO WORTHY!!

small funfacts/observations I made during her perfomance btw!

(she was amazing, I love her. I still have post-concert mourning)

Patti got emotional right at the beginning of the perfomance. She entered the stage with "A Song For You" and you could hear the first few seconds how emotional she was. She's such a pookie. I wanna put her in my pocket.

Everyone literally stood up, cheered and clapped so many times during the first and mainly during the second part of Patti LuPone's perfomance. I loved the energy. I think I've never clapped like this for anyone. It felt like my life depended on it.

She was praising her musicians so much. She made them stand up like 4-5 times so people could applaud to them. I love her.

Also btw Patti LuPone mentioned "Beau is afraid" while being hilarious about her double hip surgery and her shoulder pain, following up with "Ready To Begin Again". LMAO.

also other things I absolutely loved about it was

1. her cracking herself up and

2. when she sang "Ladies Who Lunch" with the famous "Does anyone still wear a hat?" someone in the audience yelled. "I do." and everyone laughed so hard.

and last but not least:

We got LuPoned after the performance. It was genuinely so funny. We all were waiting until midnight by the stage door meanwhile Patti LuPone took the front door. 🤭 The whole security team told us: "She's gone." but we were delusional and stayed there. 💀

In the end me and my friends started talking with some other people there. There was even someone from my country, so we made new friends. ❤

MYTH-TOBER 2024 11. Thanatos So there will be a bit of mythology and a bit of my life story here. Thanatos as the deity of peaceful death is very interesting, he comes, cuts a lock of your hair and then Hermes could do the rest. He has a twin brother Hypnos and oh boy, the old paintings of them are so cute. Check out "Hypnos and Thanatos: Sleep and His Half-Brother Death" by John William Waterhouse, excellent one. Btw, he got butterfly's antennae because that's his sacred animal, which is also a symbol of the soul. BUT now some lore from my life. Mythology somehow stuck with me for a long time, once in primary school when we talked about Greek gods each of us got our own god for which we were supposed to dress up and talk about. I got Thanatos and I'll tell you that 10 years ago I couldn't find almost anything on the Polish internet. A very short Wikipedia and a few pictures, because nobody spoke English at my house at the time, so my mother took matters into her own hands. She was a seamstress and sewed me a black and white outfit (the one Thanatos is wearing on my art), bought angel-costume wings and helped me paint them black, attaching even more feathers to make them bigger. And believe me, how much she heard from my grandmother that it was "a profanation of religion" and so on. On day we were supposed to present it, I was late for my first lesson because I was doing the most "deadly" make-up that the cheap cosmetics we found at the last minute would allow me to do. And I had a phenomenal performance, I even walked around the room with my paper knife painted gold in one hand and a paper torch in the other. I had "diabełki" (little devils) in it, which were gunpowder wrapped in parchment, wrapped in small balls. You could buy these at kiosks and when you hit the ground with them there was a mini BOOM, I used them at the end of my presentation for t h e w o w effect. And you know what? I got a 4- (which is like B in a Polish school), and you know why? Because "it's very unsightly to watch a girl pretending to be a male character". BUT I DID NOT CHOOSE A MALE CHARACTER, that teacher gave us gods, I had no choice in with one! 12-year-old me was sad and 22-year-old me is disgusted by that woman. But you know what? I went to an art school after that and there was an "initiation as a student lit party" (which always had an interesting theme at that school), we of course got a topic about Greek mythology. I put on my Thanatos outfit, went to the bathroom to do my make-up and met a girl from my class who I hadn't talked to, and who commented on something about my costume. We started talking and talking and talking... 3 years ago we finished this school and she is still my close friend so I can say that the effort of making this costume really paid off. (Full disclosure I never heard of HIM before I listened to a ton of it for this list! (Awesome music btw) However I have been a HUGE MCR fan since I was like 11!!!)

Frank: Frank's favorite HIM song is TOTALLY It's All Tears (Drown in this Love)!!! He listens to it ALL the time and he absolutely ADORES it!!! It's driving and it has a really sexy beat and he absolutely LOVES how subtely (well somewhat subtle, not at the end LMAO) suggestive the lyrics are!!! He thinks that it's SUCH an amazing song and he loves it SO much!!! When he first heard it, he got into a heated debate with Brad while it was playing for the first time about whether the song was about sex or not and when the lyric "I'll violate you in the most sensual way" he cheered and pointed and laughed at Brad!!! It was amazing!!! His favorite MCR song is House of Wolves because he is SO horny for it!!! It makes him feel SO amazing and he plays it on BLAST everywhere that he goes and it is WILD!!! He stalks around the house to it and tries to flirt with it ALL the time!!! Frank absolutely LOVES both HIM and MCR!!! He really does!!!

Brad: Brad's favorite HIM song is In Love and Lonely!!! He thinks that it has such wonderful lyrics and it really helped him get through his hard times with Janet!!! They worked it out and they're happier than ever and Brad still feels grateful to the help that that song provided for him!!! He loved hearing a song about someone NOT giving up when their partner was sad and it helped give him the courage to do the same!!! It really does mean a lot to him and he loves it so much!!! His favorite MCR song is Welcome to the Black Parade!!! He knows that he's fully basic for that answer, but it IS an absolutely PHENOMENAL song and he loves it SO much!!! His favorite part is the fast part and Janet's favorite part is the slow part so they compliment each other REALLY well!!! They always give each other a little smile as the band plays at the end of that song and it's SO sweet!!! Everyone thinks that they're absolutely ADORABLE for it and y'know what? They TOTALLY are!!!

Janet: Janet's favorite HIM song is (I'm gonna count it because it fits her really well-) is their cover of Beautiful by Carole King!!! The lyrics have her absolutely swooning and she absolutely LOVES the way that they perform the song!!! She listens to it CONSTANTLY!!! If she were to pick an original song of theirs it'd probably be Dead Lover's Lane because she thinks that it's got an upbeat and fun melody and she thinks that the lyrics are really dark and interesting!!! She jams out to that song in the car ALL the time and she loves to sing along as well!!! Janet's favorite MCR song is Sing because she finds it to be SO inspirational and she loves it SO much!!! She grew up believing that she shouldn't do anything until a boy noticed her and she shouldn't make anything of herself, but she always wanted to and this song always helped encourage her to raise her voice and stand out from the crowd!!! The song even told the girls to sing too!!! It made her feel so wonderful and she cried the first time she heard it!!! She loves these bands SO much!!! They help her a lot!!!

Riff Raff: Riff Raff's favorite HIM song is Acoustic Funeral!!! He really loves it and he finds that it's a REALLY great song for dancing and to sing along to as well!!! He can be found dancing wildly to it and singing along as he does ALL the time!!! Magenta will often join in and sometimes Columbia as well!!! They all have so much fun together and it's amazing!!! He really loves it and it makes him feel really energized so it helps him wake up in the morning, too!!! His favorite MCR song is Famous Last Words, because, in a way that's actually similar to Acoustic Funeral, he finds that it strikes a PERFECT balance between being quite rock n roll and also being very beautiful as well!!! He thinks that Famous Last Words is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL song and he also relates to it WHOLE lot!!! He finds the song to be eerily reminiscent of his decision to leave Frank and the pain and self hatred that he suffered beforehand!!! Riff Raff absolutely LOVES both of these bands and all of the wonderful songs that they put out!!! He really does!!!

Magenta: Magenta absolutely ADORES Heartache Every Moment!!! She thinks that it's SUCH a fun song and a TOTAL banger!!! She really loves the way that the lyrics can be so wonderfully gothic and she thinks that the angst that that song carries is absolutely AMAZING and she absolutely LOVES to listen to it while she's doing housework and other tasks that a domestic must do!!! Magenta's favorite song by MCR is The Sharpest Lives!!! She thinks that it's DELIGHTFULLY Rock-N-Rolly and she thinks that it's got a BANGER gothic vibe and she absolutely LOVES the way that it flows!!! She loves to point to herself on the line "in love with all of these vampires" even though she's an alien since she carries a TOTAL vampire vibe!!! Or she and Riff Raff will point at each other if he's singing along with her, which happens a whole lot!!! Magenta has cried and smiled SO wide to these songs a WHOLE lot and she absolutely loves them!!! She really does!!!

Columbia: Columbia's favorite song by HIM is Again!!! She loves it SO much and she loves to dance around to it!!! She'll sing along all the time and she thinks that it's SO much fun!!! She loves her rock songs to be INCREDIBLY lively (that's one of the reasons that she always made Eddie sing Hot Patootie Bless My Soul for her!!!) And she thinks that Again absolutely NAILS that feeling!!! She loves it a LOT!!! Her favorite MCR song is Na Na Na for that exact same reason!!! She thinks that it's SO much of a mood booster, even if the lyrics are really dark!!! She's always absolutely ADORED how rock songs can do that!!! Safe to say, she gets her Eddie to sing both of these songs to her ALL the time and she's absolutely SWOONING!!! If they're in public he'll always point and say "this one's for you!" First and she loves it SO much!!! She's totally smiling as wide as is humanly possible as other people tell her how jealous they are because this is so wonderful!!! Columbia absolutely LOVES these songs!!! She really does!!!

Rocky: Rocky's favorite song by HIM is Salt In Our Wounds!!! At this age, he doesn't actually know what that phrase means, but he thinks that the melody is absolutely DELIGHTFUL and the phrase sounds REALLY cool!!! He thinks that it's SO much fun and he puts it on ALL the time!!! He thinks that the melody sounds really nice and happy at this age, and even when that changes, he'll always love the song so much!!! His favorite MCR song is Blood because he thinks that it's so fun and it makes him smile SO wide!!! He understands what these lyrics mean, and he thinks that the song is either about magical vampires or just about people who are really really weird!!! Either way, he absolutely CANNOT hear it too many times!!! Sometimes he'll play Salt In Our Wounds and and Blood at the exact same time for HOURS on end!!! It's a bit tedious and tiresome for everyone else after a while, but it keeps him happy in a way that keeps him from breaking anything or hurting himself so they just let it happen!!! Rocky LOVES these songs!!! He really does!!!

Eddie: Eddie is a HUUUUUUGGEEEE fan of both of these bands!!! When it comes to picking his favorite children, his favorite song by HIM is Heartkiller!!! He thinks that it's SUCH an amazing song and SO wonderfully catchy!!! He loves it SO much!!! His favorite song by MCR is Mama because he feels like that song just UNLEASHES something in him!!! When he performs that one he feels more like a badass than EVER!!! He also relates to it a lot, given his criminal history so he sings that one directly from his soul!!! It's actually made him cry while singing live before!!! He sings these songs live SO much and he goes absolutely WILD with them both!!! Doing opt ups wherever it sounds good!!! The crowd goes absolutely WILD every single time!!! He also loves to sing Teenagers around the house ALL the time to irritate his uncle because of the lyrics and what a monster he was as a teenager!!! Thankfully, Doctor Scott finds it REALLY amusing!!! Eddie absolutely ADORES these bands!!! He really does!!!

Doctor Scott: Doctor Scott thinks that Love Without Tears is a REALLY good song!!! He thinks that it's truly an incredibly beautiful rock song and that it's SO powerful on top of that, especially considering how painful it is for him to love his rock n roll singing nephew, so the song carries multiple meanings for him and he is SO grateful that it exists and he loves it SO much!!! His favorite song by MCR is The Light Behind Your Eyes because he thinks that it is SUCH a beautiful song and he finds it amazing that rock songs with such beauty can fully exist!!! It makes him so happy!!! When Eddie first came home to find his uncle listening to both of these songs, he came and sat down next to him and listened to the rest of the song with him and then they talked about it!!! It was a real bonding moment and it meant so much to both of them!!! Eddie revealed that Love Without Tears reminded him of their relationship, too and he agreed that Light Behind Your Eyes is really beautiful!!! He sings them for him now sometimes!!! It's really amazing!!! Doctor Scott LOVES these songs!!! He totally does!!!

The Criminologist: The Criminologist's favorite song by HIM is Like St. Valentine because he absolutely LOVES how exciting it is and he LOVES that it feels so wonderfully scandalous!!! He loves to find out secrets and he feels like this song is a SUPER fun secret that he's getting let in on!!! He loves how the lyrics express a guy cheating on his wife in such a fun way!!! He really does!!! His favorite MCR song is I'm Not Okay (I Promise) because of all the storytelling in it!!! He thinks that it's revealing snippets of SUCH a fun and scandalous story and he wishes SO much that he could know more!!! He's not a stalker, in fact, it's his job to help bring those folks down! But that song makes him WANT to stalk the band to see if there's more of a story he can figure out in relation to that song!!! He's SO invested and he dreams of that being one of his BIG cases in the future!!! The Criminologist is a HUGE fan of these bands!!! Such a fan that he wants to go crazy!!!

(Side note tho I know no one asked- Bulletproof Heart is one of the HUGE theme songs in my heart for my Snowfall AU!!! Which I ofc didn't write from the perspective of when making this list but still I think that it's a fun lil tidbit to share!! :D)

i saw it a week back or so but hrrrr. hrrr my little heart.

first things first: bee. bee my fucking beloved. oh my god he’s so goofy and i love him and that moment where elita has to hold him back as orion falls into the well UGH MY GAY LITTLE HEART he’s so child coded. like i love him. so much.

elita wasn’t my favourite thing in the world but ya know what? she had her guns, she stuck to em, and her voice actor killed it. so. also fun to see her beat the shit outta people that’s always fun lol

loved the jazz and the arcee screentime. wanted more. feed me more.

SENTINEL. PRIME. MOTHERFUCKING SHITBALLS MAN. he’s so cocky and pompous and performative and flashy and cowardly and and and RAGHHH I LOVE IT. he’s SUCH AN ASS and he is SO HATEABLE but also?? fucking?? goofy aaa mf?? like. his design is KILLER btw i love it so much and i love him?? but i also hate him cause WHAT. THE FUCK.

the thing with the 13 primes is expected. i saw that coming.

i was not equipped. in any way, shape, or form, for the torture scene. i’m calling it the torture scene. because that’s what it was. d-16 with the megatronus sticker? adorable. in love with that, actually. so cute. see, i was under the impression d-q6 gave HIMSELF the engraving, ya know, to show his passion for the new decepticon cause before it got bigger/gained funds etc etc, it made sense in my head.

but SENTINEL doing it to him?? i was. i was flabbergasted. BEYOND disturbed and horrified. like i needed a hit couple minutes to regain my bearings after that one ngl.

the other thing that made me short circuit was d-16’s eyes. see, and this was just an expectation on my part, i was under the impression that his optics gradually got darker and darker. like, the further he strayed from peace and the more he fell into violence, the angrier he got, the darker his optics got. having it be a blink and then bam? red?

oh. i was not equipped. i was not equipped for any of that scene AT ALL. girlies i cried. a lot.

another d-16 ramble? his. his fucking monologue. about wanting to murk sentinel. case a) baby same b) what the fuck and c) that emotion. that visceral, raw hatred spat out as a confession oh my god in that moment i went ‘oh no this movie isn’t for kids. i’m gonna get emotional damage’ and then i did. phenomenal acting.

love the high guard, shockwave so silly. soundwave so goofy. love them. love the whole ‘he wouldn’t stop talking’ bit much goof. such potential for ANGST i love.

starscream’s voice caught me off guard but some of them moves he pulled were badass as fuck and it’s kinda cool to see him ‘rank’ higher than d-16/megatron legitimately in a way. but. that fight. i’m. like i enjoy megastar as much as the next person but. ‘HARDER’??? i know in every continuity megatron beats up starscream at LEAST once, i get that, but the homoeroticism is meant to STAY AS FANNON

i don’t fuck w/arachnid’s design cause 💀 her legs 💀 but the eyes are awesome!! loved her anyways
