So, update on that one post i made (that i did NOT expect to get so much attention) about wanting to write a fic about monk and survivor's parents and third sibling... yes I'm working on it!
It's taking a while though since I keep procrastinating and I want this first chapter to be as perfect as possible. But because I'm feeling nice, here's a little snip of the beginning of the first chapter, immediately after monk's intro!
The fic will be titled "The Residual Pup"
any constructive criticism is welcome, I don't have anyone to help me proofread rn.
More yapping about my fic below cut, if anyone's curious
Yes, the slugs will have dialogue, they have their own special language in my headcanon.
This fic will be primarily focused on family dynamics and might be a little.. "fierce" in terms of family relationships. This is a crumbling rat family and its not all cupcakes and rainbows... sorry, I like angst. I'm not 100% sure how harsh I wanna make this but just incase, if you find mildly abusive, controlling or broken families triggering, I would not recommend. this'll be mostly based off my own experience with my own family.
in my HC, Slugcats have a simple naming convention, similar to the way they're named in the campaigns, its usually names given by their family or peers based off their appearance or occupation/what they're known for.
The parents are named "Father Coral" for the pink slug and "Father Ivory" for the white slug. The third Sibling was simply called "the Blue One" before the incident where they were named "the Residual (pup)" after.
Most pups are named "the (Color) One" before they grow up and the slugs around them end up referring to them by what they're mostly known for. There is no official agreed name for each slugcat so usually some slugcats end up having multiple (nick)names.
Think that's all I want to say without spoiling the entire chapter... If you have questions, feel free to ask :D
#rain world#slugcat#rw fanfic#fanfiction update#ao3 fanfic#rw third sibling#rw salsa rosa#and for anyone new and wondering- yes the parents are gay in my hc!!!! we love the dads#also opinions on the names? are they any good?#The Residual Pup fic#<- tag for the fic and for update searches#text post

the absolute agony of being hyperfixated on a video game where you can't read post-canon fic or search a damn thing on fandom tags before going through like 100 hours of it because of spoilers.
#hands hovering over the search bar on tumblr about to search 'hans capon'. no I mustn't. I must be good. christ#getting vicarious happiness through authors on ao3 who wrote fic before kcd2 who then post a little update#'I can't believe they're canonically in love 😭' I've never been happier for anyone than I am for these kcd1 truthers#kira for ts#just running around in circles biting my tail. can't read most of the fic (new) can't search the tags ... gotta make up things in my HEAD#like a PEASANT.#I'm so curious as to how they continue in kcd3 ... surely they give you the option of continuing it. right. RIGHT?#if they even do kcd3 but things are so unresolved ...#not that I'm anywhere close to the ending just from what I've picked up around reddit about it ...#realised I started typing ellipses like I have to at work. damn.#they got me there. have to retrain myself for normal typing...

hey y'all, i'm currently trying to find a fic. here's info below, pls help 🥹 ive tried searching it in every way possible and i KNOW it exists but i genuinely dont rm what its called.
GENRE: parody. it took miraculous ladybug and like. EXTREMELY parodied it to almost derogatory levels. marinette's "stalker" tendencies were taken to ten million and chat noir's flirting was turned into horny-levels of ridiculousness. it was awful /affectionate
LENGTH: multiple chapters. took each episode and made it into a chapter.
LOCATION: i am like. FAIRLY certain it was on fanfiction.com but for the life of me i cant find it. it wasn't ao3, thats for sure
AGE: fic's definitely a few years old. i read it in highschool so
ADDITIONAL NOTES: I don't rm the name of the author or the name of the fic (but i think it was a play on the tv show's actual full name). fairly certain it used to be on tv tropes but i can no longer find it listed so it may have been removed from there. REALLY hoping it wasnt taken off the internet.
TL;DR looking for a fic that takes miraculous ladybug and brings it to absurd almost family-guy levels of humor. now that im older i esp want to read it again because i think i'll have a new found appreciation for it
#original post#fic search#miraculous ladybug#please help this is KILLING me#at this point its more about the principle of it than actually finding it#but i really want to read this again#finding fics#fanfic search#idk what other fanfic search tags i can put sobs#UPDATE: FOUND IT!#fic is called 'miraculous headache'!

funniest part of "troy: fall of a city" by far was achilles saying that "odysseus wouldn't do that".
first of all, I have no idea how anyone can expect anything of this version of odysseus considering how bland they made him.
but more importantly, odysseus wouldn't lie? odysseus wouldn't trick people??? lies and trickery are odysseus' #1 claim to fame, wtf do you mean he wouldn't do that 😭
#yk when you've already been through all the search results for a fandom on ao3 so you go through them again with lower expectations#that's the same process that got me to watch a mediocre 2018 miniseries that I KNEW would be mediocre#but my favourite fics hadn't updated in like 3 hours so I was getting desperate 😔 understandably#troy fall of a city#mythology#at this point I might as well have that tag ig#though a more honest tag would just be odysseus

What's the Kenzie Reboot thing? I was going to reblog asking for clarification, but the post stopped existing.
oops! It's a crossover I rotate in my head sometimes, dumping pre-canon or early-canon Kenzie in the world of cyberpunk dystopian podcast REBOOT.EXE.
My first and latest attempt at a blurb is:
After the interdimensional carnage of Gold Morning, ten-year-old Kenzie Martin finds herself mistakenly portalled into a very different time and place. Melbourne, 2090. A divergent Earth untouched by Scion, where technological ingenuity, rather than alien superpowers, pushes the envelope of ‘humanity’ - and drives the world into conflict. To find a team and make herself useful, Kenzie first has to survive. But the Venn is a tough place to land, especially when her Tinker power paints a target on her back for slum gangs and City elites alike. It’s sheer luck that she finds allies. A friendly medical drone, who Kenzie’s sure she can upgrade! A hacker on the run from the worst of humanity - she knows the perfect countersurveillance. A wealthy academic, who seems to be searching for something… The perfect team! She’s indispensable! Kenzie’s determined it won’t be only luck that keeps them.
but this is kind of misleading, because it looks like the story is about Kenzie's clinginess, and even 9-10y/o Kenzie is only slightly more messed up than everyone else in the Reboot main cast.
She befriends a sentient robot with baby-fever psychosis. The team's hacker becomes her role model the instant he starts doing cocaine and becoming a cyborg to Sleep Less And Hack More. She gets in an intense info-warfare nemesis-ship with one minor antagonist, a bioengineered kid with an eidetic memory. She also slips him invisible cameras under the guise of bugging him and hints real hard that he should use them to blackmail his abusive parents. She also cyborgs herself almost immediately. Good times!
#asks#kenzie in reboot crossover#I don't think I was using that tag originally but searching 'kenzie reboot' will find my brainstorming#I would love to write this as an actual fic sometime#but have. basically no writing practice.#and also i forgor the plot of reboot#ok 'reboot parahumans crossover' was my old tag hold on. i shall update the new posts to use that too#reboot parahumans crossover

When a completed fic mysteriously updates with a new chapter, but it is not the final chapter and there are no author's notes about it at the beginning nor end.
??????????????????????????????
#Latee speaks#...I mean I guess it's good that it's one that I had skim read through the latter half and keep meaning to properly read#because no matter how short the chapters are that's 50+ chapters to sort through#and this is at least the second time it's happened#...just to clarify I don't normally skim read#just a combination of my increasingly wandering attention span and other things#making waaay too many tabs on my phone and loosing where ever I originally was#both me and my pc can barley keep up with the tabs and I've slowly moved to reading more on my phone#making use of a 'To Read' tag to try to focus#...skimming a recent update to inspire myself back to the beginning--which usually works--not always#I am split between making a more obvious tag for fics I've done this too or just sticking with the one#...that i keep forgetting#I just have no idea what to tag it though...#actually I do need to change it because symbols can be weird with the search#.....

This tool is optional. No one is required to use it, but it's here if you want to know which of your AO3 fics were scraped. Locked works were not 100% protected from this scrape. Currently, I don't know of any next steps you should be taking, so this is all informational.
Most people should use this link to check if they were included in the March 2025 AO3 scrape. This will show up to 2,000 scraped works for most usernames.
Or you can use this version, which is slower but does a better job if your username is a common word. This version also lets you look up works by work ID number, which is useful if you're looking for an orphaned or anonymous fic.
If you have more than 2,000 published works, first off, I am jealous of your motivation to write that much. But second, that won't display right on the public version of the tools. You can send me an ask (preferred) or DM (if you need to) to have me do a custom search for you if you have more than 2,000 total works under 1 username. If you send an ask off-anon asking me to search a name, I'll assume you want a private answer.
In case this post breaches containment: this is a tool that only has access to the work IDs, titles, author names, chapter counts, and hit counts of the scraped fics for this most recent scrape by nyuuzyou discovered in April 2025. There is no other work data in this tool. This never had the content of your works loaded to it, only info to help you check if your works were scraped. If you need additional metadata, I can search my offline copy for you if you share a work ID number and tell me what data you're looking for. I will never search the full work text for anyone, but I can check things like word counts and tags.
Please come yell if the tool stops working, and I'll fix as fast as I can. It's slow as hell, but it does load eventually. Give it up to 10 minutes, and if it seems down after that, please alert me via ask! Anons are on if you're shy. The link at the top is faster and handles most users well.
On mobile, enable screen rotation and turn your phone sideways. It's a litttttle easier to use like that. It works better if you can use desktop.
Some FAQs below the cut:
"What do I need to do now?": At this time, the main place where this dataset was shared is disabled. As far as I'm aware, you don't need to do anything, but I'll update if I hear otherwise. If you're worried about getting scraped again, locking your fics to users only is NOT a guarantee, but it's a little extra protection. There are methods that can protect you more, but those will come at a cost of hiding your works from more potential readers as well.
"I know AO3 will be scraped again, and I'm willing to put a silly amount of effort into making my fics unusable for AI!": Excellent, stick around here. I'm currently trying to keep up with anyone working on solutions to poison our AO3 fics, and I will be reblogging information about doing this as I come across it.
"I want my fics to be unusable for AI, but I wanna be lazy about it.": You're so real for that, bestie. It may take awhile, but I'm on the lookout for data poisoning methods that require less effort, and I will boost posts regarding that once I find anything reputable.
"I don't want to know!": This tool is 100% optional. If you don't want to know, simply don't click the link. You are totally welcome to block me if it makes you feel more comfortable.
"Can I see the exact content they scraped?": Nope, not through me. I don't have the time to vet every single person to make sure they are who they say they are, and I don't want to risk giving a scraped copy of your fic to anyone else. If you really want to see this, you can find the info out there still and look it up yourself, but I can't be the one to do it for you.
"Are locked fics safe?": Not safe, but so far, it appears that locked fics were scraped less often than public fics. The only fics I haven't seen scraped as of right now are fics in unrevealed collections, which even logged-in users can't view without permission from the owner.
"My work wasn't a fic. It was an image/video/podfic.": You're safe! All the scrape got was stuff like the tags you used and your title and author name. The work content itself is a blank gap based on the samples I've checked.
"It's slow.": Unfortunately, a 13 million row data dashboard is going to be on the slow side. I think I've done everything I can to speed it up, but it may still take up to 10 minutes to load if you use the second link. It's faster if you can use desktop or the first link, but it should work on your phone too.
"My fic isn't there.": The cut-off date is around February 15th, 2025 for oneshots, but chapters posted up to March 21st, 2025 have been found in the data so far. I had to remove a few works from the dataset because the data was all skrungly and breaking my tool. (The few fics I removed were NOT in English.) Otherwise, from what I can tell so far, the scraper's code just... wasn't very good, so most likely, your fic was missed by random chance.
Thanks to everyone who helped with the cost to host the tool! I appreciate you so so so much. As of this edit, I've received more donations than what I paid to make this tool so you do NOT need to keep sending money. (But I super appreciate everyone who did help fund this! I just wanna make sure we all know it's all paid for now, so if you send any more that's just going to my savings to fix the electrical problems with my house. I don't have any more costs to support for this project right now.)
(Made some edits to the post on 27-May-2025 to update information!)

oh my god you just gave me an idea for a reversed roles dreamling fic
Currently fixating on caretaker who's not all human letting their voice drop as dark and monstrous as they can. They make unflinching eye contact with whumper, and with all the vitriol and burning rage in their body tell whumper, "Don't you fucking touch them."
It is not a warning, not even a command. It is a promise.
#and now I’ll go frantically searching on ao3#using obscurs fic tags that don’t even really fit what I’m looking for#to inevitably find nothing#I’ll update you

𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐘𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 | Tommy Miller x reader x Joel Miller

↝ masterlist | requests? | ao3 | update blog | fic rec | ko-fi
summary | You need something to ease the pain, but Joel and Tommy aren't very generous.
author's note | this isn't for everyone, please read the tags. i'm already working for a follow-up on this, but if you decide to read this - thank you!! <3 also ily and thank you for the betas @gracieheartspedro @amanitacowboy
content warning | DDDNE — noncon & dubcon, there's not defined consent, reader is both drugged and has a head injury that is blurring the lines of reality, early outbreak days, dark!tommy, dark!joel, unprotected piv, restraints, degrading, deepthroating, creampies, this is literally them fighting over a shiny new toy, joel spitting on reader, marking/claiming, very little aftercare. this is dark fic, don't engage if you don't like.
word count — 5.3k
You had struck gold.
On, well, drugs.
There was the saying—only the strongest will survive. But, you’ve seen a clicker take down a man double its size without an ounce of struggle.
Then again, they were literal killing machines.
You’ve learned that sanity is what has kept you alive.
And lately, yours had been slipping.
It was the anxiety, the lack of food and water, the seventh group you’ve filtered into torn to bits overnight and because you were so weary – always sleeping above ground level and never really letting yourself succumb to deep sleep – had managed to slip away in the knick of time.
Regardless, you needed the drugs.
You’ve been on the run for two weeks, completely alone, raiding every hospital and pharmacy you’ve come across with no luck, all wiped clean.
Sometimes, the anxiety made your chest hurt — blood pumping into your ears so loud you couldn’t hear anything else, too aware of the functions within your own body.
It has gotten explicitly worse the past couple days and when you finally find some luck, therein follows the immediate feeling that it was too good to be true.
There was a catch.
This was a trap.
Well, fuck it.
What did you have to lose anyways?
You’ve been in this dilapidated house before, months ago when you were passing through with another group. So, when you find the bags, you’re wondering if this was just a mistake.
Someone had left these behind, surely.
There wasn’t anyone in the nearest vicinity, not a speckle of life anywhere to be found.
So, you dig.
There’s a treasure trove of bottles all half full or almost empty, scanning through the names until you find something worth taking.
Diazepam.
It could work, it would work.
By the looks of it, there’s only ten pills left and if you used them sparingly enough, you could stretch it out for a couple months, long enough to continue your search.
The end goal was always civilization, hopeful that you could stumble upon a well-established group that would be kind enough to take you in.
Though, the outlook was grim.
You stuff the bottles of pills into your coat pocket and continue to dig, unsure why you’re feeling so greedy. Some of the labels are ripped and unintelligible, some of the bottles simply don’t pique your interest, crouched on the floor and burrowing through someone else's belongings like a rat.
You’re so focused that you don’t hear the footsteps until it’s too late.
“Don’t move.”
The voice is sharp, cuts through the silence like a knife and you freeze, hunched over and caught red-handed.
“Turn around slowly.”
You comply, unwinding yourself carefully, heart pounding in your chest.
There’s one man standing in the doorway, another a few steps ahead.
They share a similar build and face, undoubtedly related.
You raise your hands to show no threat, hands shaking slightly. “I’m just passing through,” you say, trying to keep your voice steady. “I didn’t think anyone was here.”
The closer man takes a step forward, but the gun doesn’t waver. “You with anyone?”
“No.” You hate how weak you sound, “No—just….just me,”
Dumbass. You should have lied.
Your hands are shaking noticeably and you’re not sure if it’s from fear or adrenaline or relief that you’ve scored something.
It doesn’t matter.
“Empty your pockets,” his voice is indescribable, but demanding, eyes lingering briefly to the quieter man behind him that lingered like a shadow, as you hesitate, the gun clicks, “I’m not askin’.”
“I didn’t—take,” you panic, licking nervously at your lips, “I—you don’t understand,” you know they can hear the shuffle of the half-empty pillow bottle in your coat pocket, clear as day, “please don’t kill me, god—”
The idea seemed more intriguing now than it ever has.
The two men share a look, clearly one they have passed along a million times before.
“Turn around,” the man demands, “keep your hands up,”
You follow instructions with minor hesitancy, hearing the footsteps grow closer before the hands spread around your waist and up your ribs and you catch the gentle woosh of longer hair against your cheek that ultimately belonged to the other man.
You’re not sure whyor where the courage takes hold – it was stupid, outnumbered and unskilled when it came to combat, you were fighting a losing battle.
Your elbow swings back into the other man’s ribs and he grunts, roughly grabbing you by the back of your neck before shoving you at the one wielding the revolver, “Screw this, I’ll just fuckin’ shoot ‘er,” the voice belonging to the one with the menacing scowl and hard gaze.
“Joel, slow your goddamn roll,” it was a tidbit of information that he shouldn’t have let slip, feeling the hand at your bicep as it twisted behind your back tightly, gasping at the sharp sting of pain.
“Kill first, take later,” Joel reminds the other man, “we’ve been over this, Tommy.”
Joel. Tommy.
Brothers, clearly.
The outbreak was still fresh in hindsight, only two years since the attacks on the city started. It was clear that some people thrived in environments like this, feeding off violence to achieve their goal.
You’d stumbled into the wrong hands, all of your luck having officially ran out.
You’re not sure why they decide to spare you, but they do.
Time passes — seconds that feel like hours, before the butt of a gun is making contact with the side of your head.
You’re out like a light, meeting the floor with an unkind thump that splits open the skin near your temple, blood pooling around the wound and along the dilapidated hardwood.
“She’s your responsibility,” Joel tells his brother, shoving the gun into his chest, “take care of it.”
—
There was no expectation of waking until it happened.
Everything felt fuzzy, light, more welcoming than you expected. You could feel the cool sheets under your skin, a hastily applied bandage to your head, but your hands were bound.
There was an uneasy feeling to the picture painted before you, the usual diluted blues and green and greys of the apocalypse replaced with something warm.
You moan slightly, shifting as you blink to collect yourself, immediately faced with one of the men from earlier with a different kind of concern etched on his face.
As far as you could tell, he was alone.
And much more docile.
“Oh, woah, little lady,” he says, all charm in his thick southern twang, “you took quite a spill earlier.”
You moan again, this time in response, “You—he…hit me.”
“Joel? Yeah, he ain’t much of a people person,” Tommy explains, “he left for a bit, though. I patched ‘ya up, gave you some meds to help with the pain,”
He notices your gaze drifting, like it was too hard to keep focus despite your valiant effort.
You nod in compliance.
You can feel the hand that settles between your thighs, a soft caress as Tommy checks gingerly at your wound, the press of his fingers digging into the supple flesh at the inside of your leg.
“I think you’ll be right as rain, probably best to keep you here for a couple days until we can let you go,” he admits, “seems a little negligent and unfair to force you outside to deal with infected in your condition.”
Tommy liked his trinkets, though.
Sweet, shiny things that peaked his interest.
There’s a softness to your features that has been long lost on many, just the subtle glint of weakness he needs.
“I’m so sleepy,” you slur tiredly, groaning softly as you turn to your side, feeling the hand shift from between your legs to graze up the curve of your ass and against your back.
It was a nice touch, comforting — warm, safe.
No part of you can recognize who the hand belongs to, not in this state of mind, the room swirling with faint orange from the setting sun — was it a bedroom?
Living room?
Or, it was a dream. The afterlife, even.
Maybe you had died and this was the sick way your body was deciding to cope, cared for by your captors.
But, nothing about Tommy outwardly screamed danger.
Not like the way Joel's bared teeth, scruffy beard and stench of blood had.
No, Tommy was sanitary, preened and clean; a wolf dressed up in sheep’s clothing.
You can’t muster the care to worry about this now.
“Get some rest, darlin’,” he encourages, the touch moving to your hair now, curling the strands around his fingers gently.
You give into the medicine slowly creeping through your veins. Sleep overtakes you with little resistance. There is only darkness for a while, the absence of thought or feeling, until there’s the strange sensation you are being moved and manhandled.
Your limp body in someone’s arms, then in their lap, against their chest before you’re pressed into the mattress again but on your stomach, head carefully angled to avoid injury or irritation. Not that it mattered, your entire body was numb now.
It is a new kind of warmth that blankets you.
You can distantly hear a voice before you slip back into unconsciousness.
“... sweet little thing,” he says.
The passage of time feels endless.
The weight in the bed beside you comes and goes, the room filtering between light and dark, unsure how many days have passed. Occasionally you wake to drink water or take a few sparing bites of food, just enough to placate your angry stomach as you’re continuously fed meds to remain complacent.
It isn’t that you mind—you don’t. It was the best care you’ve had in months.
Actually, you don't ever remember being cared for like this.
There’s only ever one set of footsteps, no voices aside from one, and the constant looming feeling that he was around. You weren’t unsettled by it, rather comforted.
Tommy was being unbelievably kind despite your actions—he could have killed you outright, but instead, he was caring for you. You weren’t sure if his brother would be delighted at the idea, but he wasn’t here right now.
You can hear the faint chirp of crickets and a room blanketed in blue when the bed dips under the weight of someone sitting down again, and warm fingers brush across your cheek.
“Hey there,” Tommy’s voice sounds from behind you. “glad to see you awake.”
He sounds genuine.
You turn slightly to peer up at him, vision still hazy.
His eyes are crinkled with a slight smile, a thick mustache covering his upper lip. He’s stripped out of his jacket, clad in a shirt and jeans, and his touch still hasn't left you. Instead, it grows.
Explorative, you lie still.
There’s a wondrous edge to his gaze, his touch roaming the expanse of your body, clean of dirt and grime and suddenly you realize you’re dressed in fresh clothes, pants folded at the end of the bed. There was only a shirt and a thin pair of underwearing covering your body.
He had bathed you? Changed you?
Tommy notices the panic of the realization but soothes your worry with a touch that is gentle against your forehead, a much smaller bandage covering your head injury.
It’s weird, the faint glow that surrounds him.
Part of you wonders if this is still just a dream—maybe you’ve been dead for days.
His touch is so warm, guiding your legs apart as you gasp, his fingers resting over your core like they weren’t meant to be there.
“Wait,” you breath, thighs closing instinctively, “don’t—”
“Shhh,” Tommy soothes, the fingers of his opposite hand running along the side of your face, thumb brushing over your bottom lip as he traces the flesh, “s’alright, you’re still lookin’ a little sleepy, sugar. Go on, you can rest,”
You’re only vaguely aware of how your bindings have changed, spread out at either end of the bedpost rather than bunched over your head, somehow feeling more restrictive than the latter.
Sleep was incredibly hard to fight, eyes fluttering through the growing curiosity of his touches, eventually slipping under the fabric of your panties.
“....well, look at that,” his voice is distant, but he’s met with a wet, warm heat as his fingers slide between your folds, watching as your lips part with the touch, “she loves me, don’t she?”
A soft mumble of a response in protest because it shouldn’t feel this good.
Tommy takes it in stride, the swift whip of his belt as it comes undone.
“Think I can make it quick,” Tommy says mutedly, feeling like you were underwater, “Joel should be back later, but I’ll treat your right, don’t worry,”
As the fabric goes, you come to, eyes widening as Tommy was already stripped of his jeans and underwear, cock hard and proud in his hand as he positioned himself between your legs, a gentle touch of his finger pressing inside of you.
The stretch makes you gasp, the fullness even more apparent as he adds another finger, pushing deep. It’s too much, the intensity of it all as you gasp and squirm against the bed. It was akin to something your body craved but your mind hasn’t caught up to yet.
It’s good, though—almost dizzyingly so. Tommy smirks; he knows it.
There’s a tightness in your chest that screams danger, but every time you open your mouth to protest, only a moan comes out.
“Fuck,” Tommy groans as he watches your eyes fall shut, finger working loudly inside of you against your squelching heat, “how am I supposed to wait with you so ready for me?”
He wasn’t. You could feel him shifting instead, hands spread out over your thighs as the head of his cock pushed between your folds—up, down, his face tilted to examine the sight before him, neglecting the tugs against your bindings in protest.
“Just watch,” he murmurs with a nod, barely above a whisper, “you’re gonna come on my cock before you even realize what’s happenin’, darlin’.”
“Tommy, please—” you choke, but everything else is a soft cry as he pushes inside of you.
His hips snap forward, filling you in one swift motion.
The stretch is intense and overwhelming, a gasp of pain ripping from your throat.
You nearly whimper at the sensation after, his hand twisting around to your back to push up, arching you off the mattress as he rocks his hips in a steady timing—so tender in his affections, now languid thrusts drawing out a heat in your core that you didn’t ask for but can’t fight against.
The fight was useless, no give to the fabric tied around your wrist, the weight of his body against you as his hands spread out on the sheets beside the pillow under your head, his head level with your own but his eyes focused on the way your cunt sucked his cock up to the base.
He looks up briefly, tears in your eyes as they flutter shut in continued exhaustion.
“Don’t pass out on me now,” he teases when your eyes threaten to close, hips snapping forward to knock you back into the waking world, “I want you here for this, darlin’.”
He shifts slightly and your head is thrown back with an involuntary moan, every thrust dragging against that sweet spot inside of you that makes the world go white around the edges.
He was right—he’s fucking right—and there’s no saving you from his cock as a full-body shiver invades you. You mumble something unintelligible, head throbbing with a dull pain.
“Look at you,” Tommy breathes and you force yourself to focus, unable to look away as his thumb dips between you both, teasing your clit with feather-light circles that make you tremble.
His touch is surprisingly kind, not indicative of his intentions or actions. He wants to make you feel good, he’s relying on it, actually. And you hate how it was working. Your walls clamp down tight on his cock as he grunts deep in his chest, pace increasing to an unrelenting speed that echoes through the room, skin on skin.
“God, please,” you moan, praying to an unknown, barely recognizing the needy pitch of your own voice. You tug at the fabric binding once more out of reflex, not even sure what you’d do if your hands were free.
He grins, low and predatory. “That’s it,” he says with a punctuating thrust, “Take it. All of it.”
His name is the only word left in your vocabulary for a moment, over and over and over again until he’s pulling out of you suddenly, hot streams of cum spreading out of your stomach and chest as he shoves your shirt up, the loss sudden and devastating despite your mind telling you otherwise.
Tommy slumps to your side after a moment, catching his own breath with a hand over his chest and his erection flagging between his thighs, biting your lip to stifle the quiet sobs as the realization of your situation had come into full-view.
No haze, no confusion, the medication wearing off. You were left with nothing but pain.
–
He’s sleeping beside you, has been for a while.
He redressed eventually, unsure as you had closed your eyes to feign sleep.
But, he looked so fucking peaceful.
He hadn’t bothered helping you much either, only slipping your underwear back on and shifting up the flimsy blanket to cover your shivering body, the cold biting at your skin—and you can feel the dried cum against your belly, the fabric of your shirt sticking to your skin.
You swallow the dryness in your mouth as you study him, the shadows under his eyes, the flutter of his lashes against his skin. There wasn’t an ounce of remorse on his face.
Your thoughts are interrupted by the creak of floorboards outside the room, and you freeze.
It could only be one person.
“Tommy,” A voice booms in the distance, “Tommy!”
Tommy stirs beside you, groggy and unfocused, a slow realization dawning as he registers the call. It was Joel’s voice.
“Fuck,” he mutters under his breath, pushing up from the mattress.
By the panic on his face and the minimal calculation in your head—you should be dead.
He was supposed to take care of the problem.
Instead, he’s treated you like a plaything. A toy.
Your heart hammers in your chest as you watch him. He puts on his boots with haphazard urgency, more worried about Joel finding him beside you rather than your obvious state of living.
He meets your eyes for half a second, but there’s nothing there—not pity, not guilt, nothing.
A coward, through and through.
He ducks out the door before you can respond, leaving it ajar enough that you hear Joel’s accusation cut through the silence.
“...always makin’ me clean up your fuckin’ mess,” He argues, “if you hadn’t left those bags out and let me shoot her then—”
“I know, I know,” comes Tommy’s reply, more distant now, but you can still hear him scrambling for an excuse. “Just hold on a sec!”
You can hear the heavy footsteps approach, “Just get the fuck outta here for a few hours before I kill you too,” he threatens, though it sounded empty.
A creeping fear begins to settle in as you realize this is it—this time, there’ll be no reprieve.
When he approaches, his shadow creeping through the door, you have no choice but to face him. Hands still bound, you were helpless.
“Rise and shine, little thief,” his voice carries.
Joel examines the room with careful eyes, taking note of the half-eaten food and dirtied rags. It doesn’t take a genius for him to realize his brother had dragged this out for a while. Joel was only gone a few days, but he’d been keeping you sustained and alive without needing to.
And against Joel’s instruction.
Joel shakes his head in silence before he’s pulling the gun out of his jeans, finger on the trigger and you don’t know why—but you beg.
“I–please, please,” you begin, your voice raw, “I don’t wanna die. Joel, please.”
He flinches at you using his name, stepping closer as he presses the barrel into your forehead and cocks the lever back, “I’ll do anything. I’ll help—I’ll be…be good. Tommy kept me alive for a reason, r—right? He could have killed me too.”
“He can’t,” Joel tells you, “my mistake for thinkin’ he could.”
You struggled against the bindings as you kick your feet, shoving the sheet away to reveal your state of undress, “He did a lot worse,” you snap at him, “you—your brother, you’re fucking monsters, no real men would do what he did.”
That has him lowering the gun just a fraction, like he’s considering it.
The shadows of doubt flicker over his eyes, and in that moment you see your chance.
“I can help. Steal—lay low,” you attempt to convince him, helplessness thick in your voice. “You don’t gotta kill me. I’ve just been trying to survive.”
“You think I believe a word comin’ outta your mouth?” Joel says, but now it feels more like he’s trying to convince himself, “Why were you stealin’ our meds? You got some camp you were takin’ ‘em back to?”
“No,” you reply quickly, insistent, “no—it was just me. I just—I needed something, anything to get rid of this feeling that I have all the time. It’s constant panic.”
Joel seems to pause, a silent deliberation. He eyes your figure, strung up and helpless. It was worse than just killing you outright.
“Or, let me go,” you plead, hoping desperation might unearth some small fragment of mercy. “I’ll leave. You’ll never see me again. I swear.”
His jaw tightens, and you think he’s about to pull the trigger. Instead, he curses under his breath and lowers the gun entirely.
“You’re pathetic,” he spits, tossing the gun aside and opening his knife to cut at your bindings, “Get up.”
“Thank you,” you whisper, hugging your arms over yourself for some semblance of modesty, unmoving on the bed.
“Don’t thank me yet,” he says, his voice low and threatening. “I don’t trust you. You’re gonna prove yourself or die tryin’ to.”
He throws you your old pile of clothes folding on the table beside your bed, reeking up mildew.
“Get changed, now,” He demands, but doesn’t leave,
Fine. Whatever.
You shift to your knees and strip the top over your head, wincing at the throb of pain between your legs as Joel seems to freeze, spotting the mess dried on your stomach.
“You ain’t never shot a gun, have you?” Joel asks suddenly, “Killed anyone?”
You shake your head impishly.
“I’m good at being quiet, sneaking around,” you admit, aware of the way his eyes examine your breasts, the gentle curve as you pull the shirt over your head and toss it aside, “At least—I was.”
Letting you go was risky, but shooting you now seemed like a waste.
You had nothing to offer and Joel didn’t need that on his conscience.
Not that he really cared, but disposing of your body was more trouble than it was worth.
You recognize that same flicker of greed in Joel’s eyes that was prevalent in Tommy’s.
For Joel, it was more subdued and brought out by the sight that his brother had already staked a claim over you when he shouldn’t have, leaving Joel to clean up his mess.
He really didn’t appreciate that.
Luckily, Joel knew just how to fuck with Tommy; stealing his favorite toy.
He steps closer, a dangerous grin spreading across his face as you freeze, pausing your movements as you sit stripped down to your underwear before him.
“Didn’t even clean ya up, did he?” Joel mocks using the barrel of his revolver to motion at your chest, growing increasingly irritated at the situation before him.
“No, he didn’t,” you admit sheepishly, watching Joel’s free hand disappear behind your head until he could tip your neck back, exposing your bare chest as he gathered saliva in his mouth to dribble the spit over your chest.
You hated to admit it, but you were pliant.
Like putty in his hands.
“Clean it up,” he demanded.
Your eyes searched for mercy that would never come before dropping to your chest, the glistening mess trickling down to the waistband of your underwear. You stare back up at him nervously, but his face is stoic, unwavering.
You clear your throat softly and trial your fingers through the spit and drag it back up your chest, cleaning away the mess that Tommy had left, using the dirtied shirt to wipe yourself clean.
Before you can muster a response, he’s shoving two fingers past your lips, pressing against the back of your throat so hard that you choke, “He use this too?”
You shake your head impishly, lashes fluttering as he presses his fingers down against your tongue, eyes watering at the sudden intrusion. You sputter around his digits, tasting him and the salt of his palm.
Leaving his fingers in your mouth, he pulls you up to your feet with a matching furiosity to his previous actions that has you paw at his wrist for leverage, eventually releasing his fingers from your mouth with a pop and leaving you slack jawed and breathless.
You don’t have time to recover, though, before he’s pulling his knife out and slicing clean through the thin fabric of your underwear.
“Joel,” it’s a moan this time, breathless.
He ignores you.
“Gonna show you what a real man does,” Joel says ominously.
His rough hands push you to the floor, knees hitting the wood with a painful thud as they knock against each other.
“I’ll let you live,” he says gruffly, his own pants unfastened until he can shove them down enough to free his cock, precome already beading at the tip and dripping down his shaft.
He’s hard—so fucking hard—and just the sight of him makes your stomach churn in anticipation and fear, made worse by the hand that grips into your hair, forcing your mouth open as he pushes past your lips with the head of his cock.
“But, it ain’t without you provin’ how much you wanna,”
You gag instantly and Joel tightens his grip against the back of your head. There’s little to no fight in you after the display of power, your breath hitching as he pulls his cock out suddenly, gasping for air before he’s guiding himself back into your mouth, a rough but steady rock of his hips as he holds your head between his palms, fearful that he could kill you like this.
A simple snap of your neck and it would be over.
You were a fool for thinking this would be an easy end for you.
But, at least Joel was upfront about his fucking intentions.
“Keep lookin’ at me,” Joel seethes, snapping his hips twice and rough as you sputter around his cock, chin slick with your drool, “want you to remember this,”
There’s no choice other than to comply, quick and shallow breaths through your nose as Joel fucks your mouth with little care, the taste of him heady on your tongue as his cock forces down the cries in your throat.
He was making you earn this.
Making you work for the trust, freedom—your life.
He’s relentless, a predator through and through.
There was no haze keeping you compliant, only a faint throbbing at your head and the sight of a powerful man standing over you, fist in your hair as stared up the line of buttons that led to his face, a soft growl in his throat at the sight of his cock disappearing into your mouth, eyes rolling back slightly when he pressed too hard.
You knew there wasn’t much choice in the matter, but you weren’t sure how defiant you would be if things were different—it was clear that Joel and Tommy could survive, and in turn, they could keep you alive too—couldn’t they?
You nod gently to his earlier statement, focusing on him as your now free hands roam up under the fabric of his clothes and squeeze, thankful for the brief reprieve as his cock slide back toward the tip of your tongue and rests there, watching his face scrunch and contort as he comes without warning.
It’s thick spurts against your tongue that are blended with his low, guttural groans as he slowly loosens the grip on your hair and offers a low, “Know damn well what’s good for you—like that,” he notes casually.
You wipe hastily at your mouth with your open palm as your rise on shaky legs, eyeing him cautiously before he tuts with his tongue, pushing your hand away, “Ain’t done with you quite yet,”
There’s a split second where you think about making a break for it, eyeing the door with a flicker of hope, but Joel’s grip is tight and forceful, feeling the sharp tug as he pulls you into his lap, facing you toward the bar at the end of the bed, gripping it as he silently guides your hands there—for a moment, you think he’s going to tie you back up like Tommy had, but he doesn’t.
He takes a seat on the center of the mattress and shifts his jeans down and off, your back to him as he settles you between his legs, watching the discarded clothing fall to the floor as you hold your breath.
You can feel the hot press of a palm flat against your back, up your spine as it curves around your shoulder, “You’re gonna go to Tommy after I fuck you,” Joel explains, gripping his cock as he slides it between your folds and presses in slow, gasping at the thickness as it spreads you open, “and tell him how this is all mine,” his hand squeezes at your hip, guiding your back against his cock as you grip at the metal frame, feeling him shift slightly until he’s on his shins, pistoning his hips into you with fervor, “and I don’t,” thrust, a rough grunt following, “fuckin’—” you moan shakily, biting at the skin on your bicep to muffle the noise, “share.”
He’s relentless, really.
His grip is bruising, not holding back in his strength as he guides your hips down against his cock, feeling the sweat in his palms as he breathes heavily behind you.
“Maybe you were a damn blessing,” Joel says softly, maybe not even aware he’s said it aloud until he continues, “been prayin’ for one for a while,”
“I’m—” You croak, speaking weakly, “I’m not,”
“Dunno,” Joel argues, “ain’t religious either, to be honest,”
You laugh at that, though it was mostly just a soft noise that filters out of your nose as your teeth sink into your bottom lip, frustrated with how much pleasure he was bringing you despite his nature and intention, using you for whatever means he felt was necessary.
“Pussy like this,” He notes with amusement and a tinge of fondness, “goddamn miracle if you ask me.”
Then suddenly, his chest is at your back, hand wrapping around your neck as he pulls you back.
His other hand curls around the inside of your thigh, drifting close to your dripping, swollen cunt.
There isn’t much expectation in a return of pleasure until his fingers are moving against your clit in tandem with his quick thrusts, a begrudgingly welcomed touch as he groans against your shoulder, his teeth biting into the skin until you cry out.
“Difference between Tommy and I,” he states, guiding you over the edge of your orgasm as you shake, head falling back against his shoulder helplessly before he groans low, animalistic in your ear before you feel his grip tighten, hips stuttering as he came deep inside your cunt, “I claim what’s mine.”
Joel didn’t need your response—he just held you tighter, like something earned, a prize won, something no one else would touch again.
When the silence settles around you and you’ve dressed obediently under his command, the only thing stronger than his words was the way your body still remembered both of their touches.

Your feedback will help in this and future works (and WiPs, I haven’t forgotten those!) Please do not just put ‘more’. I will block you.
I love you all immensely. Take care. 💖
You don't own many dresses, and those you do, are more office casual than date night. Still, you have no time to stall, no room for excuses. You pick out the only one you think you can still squeeze into.
A button-up black dress with long sleeves, a white collar, and white trim around the sleeves and ruffled hem. It's something that would look much better on Audrey Hepburn.
You check yourself in the mirror. You shouldn't care but you have to. If you want to get out the other side of this, if you want Vaughn to, you need to go along with it. You need to keep Steve happy.
You emerge, as content as you can be with your appearance after a day of work and an unsettling homecoming. You keep your eyes on the floor as you wring your hands. You need heels, something to match.
Before you can pass him, Steve stomps toward you. He pinches the frill around your skirt. "You look amazing, sweetheart." He lets go and drags his hand up your thigh and hip. "Can't believe it's the real thing, right in front of me."
"Uh, yeah," you agree weakly. "I need shoes."
"Sure, sweetheart, take your time. Get dolled up," he moves away with a sultry sigh.
You feel him watching you as you shift around and search the shoe rack. You bend over to take out the black vinyl kitten heels and he purrs. You wince and stand up, wobbling as you step into them.
"Hate to be too forward but I was away a while. Pretty lady like you has me all hot under the collar," he snickers. "Gotta say that dress hugs you in all the right places."
"Thank you," you murmur and untangle the thin strap of a small purse. You shuffle around your work bag and slip your ID and debit card inside, along with a tube of lip balm.
"You don't gotta be so shy," he nears. "I mean, I should be. Being locked up, I forget the way things are out here." He steps close and spreads his hand across your ass. "Just so nice to touch you...but I'll be a good boy and take you on a date first."
You shudder and resist the urge to shove him away. You force a smile, "where are we going?"
"Somewhere close," he answers and peels his hand off of you. "Been a while since I had a date," he snorts. "If you can't guess."
"Me too," you mutter as you back up toward the door. You grab your keys.
"Oh yeah? How long?" He asks as he opens the door and gestures you through.
"How... er..." you think about it.
You've not been on many. Vaughn always kept the men away. Even if they wanted a second date, it was never many more than that.
"At least a year, I think," you step into the hall and he comes out after you.
You lock the door as he stays close. You tuck the keys into your purse and he offers his hand. "Ready, sweetheart?"
You don't hesitate. No more of that. You can't keep pushing your luck. You put your hand in his. You can feel his strength.
He takes you down the hallway and patiently assists you down the stairs as your heels make your steps unsure. Or maybe that’s him. He’s especially gallant for someone like him. A criminal. Wait, no, he’s been absolved, hasn’t he?
He slips his hand along your lower back as you come outside. There’s a hitch in his strut. Victory.
“Got her out of storage, fresh wax,” he announces as he approaches the white vintage car you noticed before.
It’s strange how you can pick every single thing that’s out of place but you can never put them together. It was the same with Vaughn.
“It’s very nice,” you say. “I don’t know much about cars, my brother...”
You trail off. You’d rather not think or talk about him right now.
Steve opens the passenger door for you. You get in and he lingers at your door. He purrs.
“You really do look just perfect, sweetheart.” he tickles your jawline then draws back.
He finally shuts you in. You shiver as you watch him through the windshield. You fix the hem of the skirt as it rides up with the two sizes you’ve put on since you bought it. Or maybe it shrunk? You pinch yourself as you do, hoping you might wake up from this nightmare.
No, you’re already awake. Painfully so.
Steve gets in and you peek over for just a second. The seat emphasizes his size. Everything seems to remind you of his power over you. Over your family.
You’re so stupid. You have no one to blame but yourself. What were you thinking? Thanking a convinct? A criminal? A murderer? Or not a murderer?
“You’re tired,” he says as he backs out, “seat belt, sweetheart. Last thing I need is an accident.”
You buckle up. You dab your nose as it tingles. Don’t cry. You have to play this right. Pretend.
“A little, yeah. Work...”
“At the clinic, right?” He prompts.
It’s like the phone calls. That familiarity he puts on. Your head spins as you replay all those nights in your head. It struck you then how presumptuous he could be. How he said ‘we’. His presence then reframes every call, every visit. They were not the same to him as you.
“Yeah, a lot of phone call,” you swallow as your throat scratches. “People don’t like waiting.”
“Tell me about it,” he chuckles. “After how long I waited for this...”
You stare at his hand. Huge, thick, gripping the slender wheel. You put your eyes to your lap and play with the ruffle.
“We’re gonna have a good night, sweetheart. You and me.” He preens. “A lot of them.”
You nod and turn your face to the window, “yes, Steve. Thank you.”
⛓️💥
The restaurant is nice. As you’re greeted at the door, Steve snakes his hand down your arm and twines his fingers through yours. As he squeezes, you realise how strange it must be to him. You shouldn’t empathize with him, not with all the threats, with how he’s taken your life over in less than an hour, but you do.
“Table for two,” he says.
The hostess smiles, “yes, sir. I can find you something.”
She grabs two menus and a smaller one from the desk. She turns and leads you into the dining room. You walk just ahead of Steve as he urges you on, though his hand stays on yours. She stops you at a round table framed with a crescent bench.
“Booth alright?”
“Sure is,” Steve answers.
He holds onto you until you sit. You slide around and he follows. The hostess lays out the menus.
“Drink menu,” she points to the thinner folio, “a server will be by soon.”
“Thank you,” you gulp out of courtesy, Steve echoing you.
You clasp your hands in your lap as he takes the wine list and opens it. You’re not very hungry. Or thirsty. You’re scared.
You glance at him, the around the restaurant. To the other diners, to the staff, he’s just another man. The suit hides his true character. If you passed him on the street, you’d assume he was some refined businessman.
“Red or white?” He asks.
You look at him again. The silver strands woven into his blond shine beneath the chandelier lighting above. You drag your hand up your sleeve.
“You know, I’m not much of a drinker,” you murmur.
“Well, it’s a special night, isn’t it, baby?” He drawls and closes the folder.
He sets it down and you shift forward on the seat. He touches your lower back again, tickling you through your dress. Your posture goes rigid as you open the menu and focus on the options. He pulls his menu down, leaning it on the table’s edge as he continues to pet you, his other hand cradling the folder.
“Steak. Mm. Been a while since I had a good filet,” he growls.
“Sounds nice,” you nod.
“What about you?” He wonders and traces his finger up your spine.
“Hm, the pistachio crusted halibut sounds interesting,” you tap your nails on the page.
“You don’t gotta peck like a bird around me,” his hand falls right back down, right along the top of your ass. “You really got a nice figure, sweetheart.”
You fidget and flutter your lashes, “thank you. It’s not that. I was thinking... something light for dinner and the rice pilaf sounds interesting.”
“Ah,” he trails along the cushion of your rear, “god, you’re so...”
His voice peters off and a server appears across the table. He sits up and clears his throat. The man in his pressed white shirt and black slacks is amiable as he prompts you for your order. Steve lets you go first. You close the menu and hand it over after you order.
“Of course, miss,” the server smiles at you. He’s young and handsome. These sort of restaurants only hire a certain type.
“Bottle of champagne,” Steve begins, “we’re celebrating,” his arm curls around your middle, “and the New York Strip...” He finishes up his order and shoves the menu across the table. What’s that about?
“Yes, sir, I’ll be back with the bottle and put your order in,” the server nods and glances between the both of you.
He strides away and Steve growls. His fingertips dig into your side. He leans back and sucks his teeth.
“Is something... wrong?” You twist to look at him.
“That... guy. Looking at you like that,” he sneers. “He’s supposed to be taking our order, not ogling you.”
“No, he wasn’t, Steve,” you assure him.
“Sure as hell was. You’re just too sweet to notice. His eyes were all over you,” he huffs and his leg sways in agitation. “Judging me. Thinks I’m too old.”
“Steve, he was perfectly polite,” you say, “please, you said it’s going to be a good night.”
You bite your tongue as you examine his face. His sudden anger, his paranoia, unsettles you even more. His jaw ticks as he grits his teeth.
“Steve,” you touch his sleeve, “please, I’m not here with the server, am I?”
His blue eyes flick over to you. They search your face. You force a smile.
You have to keep from wincing as he reaches for you. He frames your face with his large hand and grins, “you’re right, sweetheart.” He draws you closer. You let him. “All mine.”
He meets your lips with his and you swallow a gasp. His nose brushes yours as he kisses you, softly, then his tongue glides over your lips. You resist for only a second then let him in. His hand slips behind your head as he locks you in. You brace his chest as he takes your breath away.
“Ahem,” the server clears his throat.
You rip away from Steve as he snickers. He wipes his mouth shamelessly as you shrink down in embarrassment. The server uncorks the bottle with a pop, his smile effortlessly hiding all judgment. He’s probably honed against all types of customers.
He pours the bubbly and leaves the bottle. You watch him go and squirm. Steve sits up and takes his glass, “what’sa matter, sweetheart?”
“N-nothing, I don’t-- I don’t usually do that... in public,” you sniff.
He laughs again, “I know, you’re a good girl.” He hovers his glass. You take yours and he clinks his against it, “to us.”
“To... us.” You echo softly.
You drink as he does, mirroring him. It’s sweet and bubbly. He sets the glass down and reaches for the bottle. He grips it and drags it closer.
“Only one for me, since I’m driving, so help yourself,” he says. “You deserve it. A nice night to let go.”
“Oh, I...” you stare at the dark glass. Why did he order the whole bottle?
He slaps his hand on your thigh and you squeak. Your hand falls over his instinctively. You look at him and lick the moisture from your lips. He growls and kneads your flesh.
“Sweetheart,” he rasps. “Aren’t you happy? I’m here.”
Your eyes dart back and forth, “yes, I’m happy.”
He pushes his shoulders back and his cheek dimples, he shifts on the cushion. His other hand tugs at the top of his belt.
“Not gonna lie, gonna be hard to hold out all night,” he smirks. “Six years...”
You blink at him. You won’t look down. That’s too much.
“You gonna be nice to me?” He leans in to nuzzle your cheek, tickling the back of your neck so you shiver. “Huh? I’m so pent up, baby, you gotta take it easy on me.”
You shudder and ball your hand up tightly. Your stomach is roaring but not from hunger. The more you think about what he means, what he expects, the sicker you feel.
“It’s been... a while for me too,” you assure him. “We can take it slow.”
“Slow, baby?” He hums. “Oh, I don’t think I can.”

PROUDLY PRESENTING:
The Unofficial OFMD AO3 Wrapped 2024
sponsored by my love of fandom community, a passion for data presentation, more hours in photoshop than I am willing to admit, and inspired by the Good Omens AO3 wrapped
images used are either official stills or screencaps from episodes and the Vanity Fair lie detector video. everything edited by me :)
a few additional stats:
79 works had more than 100k words, with an accumulated 16 million words, meaning 1% of works accounted for 21% of words
At a reading speed of 300 words per minute, it would take 174 days and nights to read all of the OFMD fic from 2024 - or, if you read for 11.5 hours every day for a year, you'd be able to get through it all!
The most tagged sex acts for explicit fics were (in order): Anal Sex, Blow Jobs, Oral Sex, Anal Fingering, and Hand Jobs
271 works were tagged "Art"
details about data collection and analysis ⤵️
All data was collected on January 1st, 2025. I limited search results within the fandom tag to works updated between 2024-01-01 and 2024-12-31. Works started earlier but updated in 2024 are therefore included. Works added and deleted again during the year are not accounted for.
I manually typed data from the AO3 search into Excel, so there may be errors and inaccuracies due to the limits of the AO3 search function, authors' tagging choices, and typos (sorry lmao). There is probably an easier way to do this but idk I was bored and didn't mind. Graphs were made in Excel.
For the total word count estimate, I collected the exact word counts of all works above 100k, then gathered data on the number of works within pre-selected word count intervals and multiplied the number of works with the average of the interval (for each interval). The total sum and cumulative graphs for both number of works and word counts are presented above.
I made posts on tumblr and bluesky asking people to nominate their favorite tags from 2024, and included as many as I could.
This is just how I chose to present the data - I hope it makes sense and I'm open to questions!
