style experimentation!!! for a story ive been pondering on:) It's very important to me that, if i ever commit to making a comic with this story, that it has a realistic-leaning style. It needs to feel very grounded, but also being simplified into a way that allows distinguishable character designs and is feasibly simple enough for a comic/graphic novel or comic-adjacent format.

I'm more happy with the first, even if the second is a bit more realistic leaning! the first defiantly is cleaner and more distinguishable i think, and has more "personality"(?) than the second, even if the second is in an more dynamic pose. But thats just my thoughts on it so far- if anyone has feedback I'd love to hear it!!!

#also. to um #clarify i guess???#you dont need to have a specific style for your stories/comics or whatever. you can tell very grounded stories with a more cartoony style #very good examples of this in xenofiction are what lurks beneath by ArualMeow and i didnt know by Songdog #also vice versa you can tell silly stories with a more realistic style!! cant think of any examples rn tho #(cartoony for lack of better word btw. maybe “illustrative” would be a better word????? idk #aaannnyyyywayyyyyyyyyyyy #i want this to have a realistic style specifically because the point of this story is to talk get people to emotionally relate to what is -#meant to represent a straight up real animal. they wont talk at all. this comic would have no dialogue!!! these cats will just be cats!#i want to focus on speaking on real world problems animals face by being overly humanized/projecting human values onto them AND issues they #face by the LACK of human emotion attatched to them. yknow???????#im rambling but like its an important topic to me. finding the balance between recognizing that animals have feelings and emotional lives--#even if they dont have the same cognitive abilities as us. and also recognizing that!! theyre animals!!! they cannot be held responsible fo #their natural behaviors!!!! yknow???#guh.#anyway. ermmmm #story: greener grass grows where wildfires glow #<- temp title nameeeeee #art #cats #yay.#kitties #yayyy
