Welcome back to "this idiot has a sleep schedule that's burning in a ditch somewhere, so she's succumbing to the brainrot and drawing all the Batfam members instead!" (Previous Installments linked below) Today, my very specific but mildly nonsensical order has finally gotten me to one of the ones who's been around the longest: Barbara Gordon, the baddest b**** in town!


Initial trace where I stylize some and do a kinda half-baked background. I put a lot more effort into this backdrop than normal since computers are kinda Barbara's whole thing, so I really needed the screens in there. Also, before anybody comes at me: Babs can wear a low cut shirt if she wants. Comic books can draw in her a low cut shirt if they want. YOU can draw in her a low cut shirt if you want. I just didn't want to draw her in a low cut shirt, so I didn't! We clear? Moving on:
I drew her as Oracle. I know mainline DC comics has her back to being Batgirl again, but she's always Oracle in my head. As sexist and poorly planned as The Killing Joke may have been, I think her being in a wheelchair and being a super cool kick-butt hero anyway is very important to her character and gave her a lot of growth and development. And there are a bunch of other characters that could gain a lot from being Batgirl and/or are better suited to the Batgirl role at this point. Also, the Batfamily is a disorganized mess, they need someone like her around.
Favorite thing about drawing Oracle is definitely her glasses. I love drawing them mostly filled in so she looks extra scary!

Freehanded version where I stylize using my trace as a reference. And yeah, I put this one on a dark background cuz I could! Babs breaks all the rules of conventional heroism, and she's breaking all the conventions of this art series! This whole project was a very good exercise for me in learning to draw a wheelchair and a character sitting in a wheelchair. I actually really really liked doing it. I had to google pictures of wheelchairs a few times, but this was much easier than most of the mechanical and non-organic stuff I try to draw. I need to draw more disabled characters, cuz this was really fun, and I would love to experiment with different models of wheelchairs and other types of mobility aids!

Characterization pose! Whoa, this is different from the rest of my Batfam drawings! A backdrop? In MY completely freehanded drawing? Yeah, like I said, Babs requires breaking all the rules. Since Oracle isn't a field hero and dresses the same as a civilian, I took a different approach than normal, and decided to draw her doing the things that make her Oracle: working with computers and being the scariest member of the Batfamily. I also drew my version of her "icon" that she uses if she needs to have some sort of face to communicate with people.
You can't tell cuz her clothes are loose, but I drew her super buff because she works a lot on both her arms and her legs to keep herself in shape and to keep her muscles from atrophying. Also, Barbara has like 6 different hairstyles that get jumped between with absolutely no regard for how that should work, so I took creative liberties. I mixed and matched, using her waves and relative length from Batgirl, the little side strands from one of the ponytail styles, and the bangs from the style pictured in my reference photo.
For once, the hero text isn't traced because every comics cover I could easily find has missed the opportunity to use the digital clock font for Oracle's name and I had to correct this absolute travesty.

Really niche. The problem with PDF isn't just that it's owned with adobe, it's that it's by definition not designed to be compatible with reflowable text, and it sucks at doing many of the things people rely on it for.
Having a predetermined, static way of displaying a page is valuable for manuals and illustrated books. I don't know if most but certainly a very large portion of text based media—including academic literature, which is easily the worst offender in continuing to adhere to this trend, is primarily composed of sections that only contain text. Unless you need to make heavy use of columns and graphs for visual clarity, or are a magazine or some other type of publication where the style and layout is as important as the text itself, there's no advantage in mandating a specific page layout or fixed font size, only downsides. A "page" is such an utterly useless unit for controlling how and where an essay's text is displayed given that most people read on screens that are either tiny or the opposite of the aspect ratio that PDFs were designed to replicate, making non-reflowable documents an inherently inefficient medium to read on. There's a reason websites switched to reflowable layouts when smartphones started becoming popular, a static aspect ratio is not guaranteed in a digital environment, people can flip their phones or tablets for a wider viewing angle at any time. If someone wants to read your essay in italic comic sans on a 4 inch screen they should be able to with no major difficulties, without having to zoom-in to make the text readable. That's the way modern websites work, and part of the reason why smartphones were revolutionary in extending the number of people that could access the web.
The fact we have solidely transitioned to primarily consuming texts in a digital format for a few years now, and most academic publishers STILL insist on exclusively distributing their articles in PDF, a format whose sole advantage is mimicking an A4 page that the overwhelming majority of people are never going to print, at the expense of making it comfortable to read on small 6:13 phone screens or 16:9 monitors that people actually use, at the expense of being able to change font sizes, at the expense of anyone who is blind being able to use a screen reader, is one of the biggest travesties on the planet. It's nothing short of absurd that it has become the default format to a point people associate it with this type of media while having such a negative impact on accessibility, not the least of which being that copying text from a PDF is unrealible at best, it doesn't understand the concept of line breaks and inserts random symbols between paragraphs. It's one of the worst fucking things about trying to read about things I am interested in. People need for real to be shot for this.

went through the inactive blogs i follow (i.e. hasn't posted in at least a year) and went from following 685 blogs to following 507. mostly just generic art/photo blogs (all of whom i wish well, even the ones who moved to instagram) but a few highlights:
macklives: probably my favorite blind homestuck liveblog, which makes it all the more unfortunate that she never even got through all the troll intros.
terrorterrorterror: unfinished webcomic with a great atmosphere. reminiscent of hotline miami, at least insofar as it is stylized, synthwave-y, set in the 80s, violent, has a prominent motif of animal-headed people, and is generally just kinda fucked up.
bugsinthemachine: cute little star trek tos fancomic about a bug. only chapter 1 was finished but it's a decent enough standalone piece.
thisisalsoyou: sketchy little journal comic, nothing special but i always found it charming.
woonyoung: wait what do you mean the artist who specialized in drawing women in cartoon witch hats hanging out with dinosaurs hasn't posted anything new since january of last year??? a travesty?
hotelconcierge: apparently i am (still) following this guy? been a while since anyone talked about what was one of the adjacency's leading homegrown fonts of insight porn in the 10s--even the last psychiatrist has been getting some discussion again since his book came out.
wretchedtooth: remember wretchedtooth? he wouldn't have banned the porn. but no, you assholes had to vote for mop, and we all paid the price.
parhelioncomic: unfinished webcomic by mutual @cryptovexillologist, featuring gay aliens, some neat worldbuilding ideas, and a really cool art style.
hyper-traditionalist: oh hey it's that parody far-right blog that wants to retvrn to the good old days before the big bang happened and ruined everything, i've been looking for this one.
pervocracy: despite tumblr reversing his unjust and outrageous ban, never really returned to active blogging here, alas. still active on twitter, though!
support: apparently hasn't posted in two years, which i find extremely funny.

thank you so so much to the lovely and talented @pridesobright and @supportivehusbands for tagging me :’) reading about your processes was so interesting!!

ideally, 1080p is what i’d use for everything, but sometimes you just have to settle for what you can get (and if you’re cursed…………. you have to battle with less than 480p……….. im looking at you, miss ‘now kiss me you fool’ footage). for this post, i made gifs from ten separate videos to illustrate how even though your source materials are wildly different from each other, the resulting gifs can still be stylistically similar. this is why it’s so upsetting to see people steal gifs like it’s nothing. we put so much thought and care and time into our posts and i can’t even put into words how discouraging it is to see people act like crediting gif makers is a hardship.
i have a note filled with ideas for lyric sets, parallels, etc etc that i work from, but sometimes i’ll just sit down and pick a random video and play around with whatever idea i have in the moment. (that’s how this set came to be!)
after i’ve imported the footage to photoshop (i use cc 2019, although i first started out using cs5 and it’ll always have a soft spot in my heart), removed any redundant frames, and cropped it, i’ll resize it (to 540px more often than not), and set the frame delay to 0.05. when all that’s done, i can colour.
i colour every gifset from scratch — i’ve never had much success with using the same psd on other gifs. it totally works for gifs from the same source, but when you’re using like six different videos for the one gifset, you have to take much more care in making them all correspond to the aesthetic you’re planning for the post. i tend to choose a dominant theme or colour to work from, like blue, green, magenta, pastels, rainbow, etc.
i usually begin with curves and levels until im happy with the brightness. then i’ll move on to either selective colour or colour balance or vibrance, depending on the original colours of the footage. i almost always skew my gifs towards blues and cyans and magentas rather than yellows and greens (i lean more towards coolness or neutrals rather than warmth). and im just really fond of blue, which is apparent if you’ve ever seen anything i’ve made lmao especially if louis’ eyes are involved. this is definitely where i spend the most time messing around with different settings (like increasing cyans and blues and blacks in general / increasing cyans in whites if i want the sky to look more blue / decreasing the blacks in whites for contrast / decreasing the cyans in reds to make them really red / decreasing the yellows across the board, but most definitely in blues and cyans / decreasing magentas in greens if i want Very Bright greens). sometimes i lose my mind a little and i end up with like twelve selective colour layers and im like This Is Fine . skdjfskjf anyways, when everything looks as vibrant and colourful as i want it, i’ll go back to curves or levels or add a contrast layer to make everything look stronger. i also might go back to selective colour or vibrance with incremental changes at the end, just as a final touch. [tl;dr: curves > levels > colour balance > vibrance > selective colour > contrast > go back for any little amendments] for black and white gifs, i’ll start with a gradient map and then continue with curves, levels, etc. after all that’s done, i’ll convert to video timeline > select all layers > filter for smart objects > either sharpen with this action or use these smart sharpen settings > add text if the post calls for it (if it’s a concept/lyric gifset, i like to play around with the settings — although century gothic is my favourite font for this — and if it’s a captioned gifset my standard is arial bold italic / drop shadow to 140 degrees / grey stroke / adjust font pt according to the size of the gif) > export > save for web. et voilà!! one gif down, probably nine to go sdkfksjdfhsjdf
the double edged sword of making gifs for one direction fandom is the sheer volume of footage available to you: on the one hand, you have a whole decade’s worth of moments to gif (and that’s incredible!!!), and on the other, it’s so difficult and time consuming to colour all of these separate moments in a cohesive way that hopefully expresses your own unique creative style. so sometimes it’s frankly impossible to make certain things look the way you want them to. maybe you can’t find high quality footage (the absolute BANES of my existence are the rtl footage where they reacted to themselves playing football at boston common and the louis is loud……loud……….and……..loud footage where you can see harry’s face close up. it’s a TRAVESTY that they don’t exist in 1080p and i WILL scream it from the rooftops), or the moments you want to gif simply refuse to look good next to each other because they’re so wildly dissimilar in hue that no matter what you do, they look strange and disjointed when juxtaposed (in those moments i do tend to either give up or choose to make them black and white). but honestly? the obstacles i’ve come across while making gifs for this fandom have been amazing learning opportunities for me. i’ve grown into and experimented with my style way more than i ever did anywhere else, and i continue to feel inspired by this fandom every day, so thank you to every single creator for your ingenuity and hard work!! 💖💖💖💖

Sonichu Issue Zero: Cover
As a primer for this, whether it becomes a thing or not, I’d like to begin with what started it all: this cover.
Analysiswise, not much to say that hasn’t been said by others. For the sake of this, we will not be mocking the artstyle unless it gets actually troublesome for the analysis. There’s just...there’s just too much goddamn material there man, there’s so fucking much material. It’s a mock-up of old comic covers that could work if it weren’t for the speech bubbles that give a decidedly “silver age Batman” feel that is, unfortunately, not carried over ever in the rest of the comic. Kind of hilarious that it has the comics code authority boxes there I the upper left honestly.
I wish I could see the clearly custom pokeball in better view but that might just be the kid in me speaking from experience of designing my own Pokeballs back when my art style looked like this but chunkier.
Speaking of artstyle, I WILL speak on that logo. It took awhile for me myself to learn that lightning lettering NEVER looks good but..it doesn’t. Especially not like that. A big SONICHU in one of the Sega fonts, maybe block letters with the left-end of the S and right-end of the U jagged like lightning...there’s a lot of ways to go about it better than that.
One last th in g to speak on is the fact it’s an Issue Zero. This trend began in the nineties with Rob Liefeld’s comics, as did many travesties of the 90s. it was a marketing strategy: issue one makes sense without issue zero, but issue zero is there if you want setup. The best example of this is Yugioh Season 0, but honestly without spoilers I think this comic does setup the rest of Sonichu pretty well, plotwise AND problemswise.
Issue Zero is the easy ground. This comic gets heavy, gets analysis-worthy and gets complicated. We will have a breeze with this but...gird your loins.
Sonichu and all related media belongs to @ cwcsonichu. I will not be covering the issues released on her patreon as I do not have money and will not steal from a creator. I will continue to refer to her by her pronouns and by the name that isn’t her dead name, no matter how prominent her deadname gets in the story or how pissed off at her writing I may become.

Merci à @latelierdelitote 💓 qui a eu un coup de cœur pour La dissidence des cancrelats de @romain.r.martin en Janvier 2021 Repost d'une partie de sa chronique. Allez faire un tour sur son blog 🙂📚 Ma chronique : Après Vermines, voici qu’arrive La dissidence des cancrelats. Un thriller qui ne ressemble à aucun autre, on retrouve le style inimitable de l’auteur. Une écriture incisive, des dialogues qui font mouche, tout cela au service d’un scénario pas piqué des hannetons. L’action se déroule dans le ventre de paris, sous terre, entre les lignes du métro et les galeries labyrinthiques qui feraient se perdre même Ariane. En l’occurrence nous allons suivre le couple maudit que forment Claude Sorensen le viking et sa compagne Angélique la déjantée, tous deux travail de nuit à l’entretien des wagons de la RATP. Un couple hors norme au verbe truculent et au comportement complètement barré vue d’en haut mais parfaitement raccord ici. Apparaissent encore deux autres personnages masculins plus tordus l’un que l’autre, un collègue travesti en sage-femme et un pseudo chef en fauteuil roulant. Suite à une agression, le couple va vouloir se venger, commence alors un contre la montre qui frôle la folie à chaque instant. Le lecteur peut se sentir perdu, déboussolé voir maltraité mais c’est pour son bien, si, si je vous assure. J’ai apprécié la construction originale du roman mais encore plus le choix des personnages et des casseroles qu’ils trimbalent. Cela m’a fait penser au film Subway où dans l’underground, on rencontrait aussi des personnages atypiques. Ici pourtant, on ressent leur fêlure, une marginalité sacralisée qui en devient touchante. Sans oublier un élément qui fait toute la différence, les traits d’humour et d’ironie qui viennent ponctuer une situation qui sans cela paraitrait bien glauque. Garder l’esprit ouvert pour découvrir un autre univers que le notre, un lieu mythique habité par des personnages qui ne le sont pas moins. Un superbe ovni littéraire à découvrir qui ne devrait pas passer inaperçu tant sa différence est attrayante et rafraichissante. What was the inspiration for this performance?
As a student, I discovered this text by Marguerite Duras, of which I was terribly touched. I kept it close to me, re-reading it often, I dreamed of this project and this team that I then assembled.
This text is universal, this quest for the other, this obsession with wanting to see the other from within, from without.
The sickness of death, for me, is the inability to love.
I wanted to share this text, which dares to talk about our intimacy, our sexuality and that questions us deep inside our being.
Is performance still a good space for the public discussion of ideas?
This show is not a show about social or political ideas.
It is a spectacle of the intimate.
And it is also important to share, because we individually have a balance to find with ourselves, with each other and with our sexuality in order to "be". And it is in this that this text is universal and touches us intimately.
I think the theater, and this indoor communion with the public remains a sacred space.
Is there any particular approach to the making of the show?
This show is a necessity of the times of
research, creation and gestation.
It links the different writings: choreography, music, voice, image, computer programming, staging, light.
It creates a new dramaturgical writing: a transdisciplinary writing, a writing of the decompartmentalization.
After having had time to create the control interfaces, times of reading the text around a table, musical research and choreography, we put ourselves in repetition all together.
The work of staging has been composed with these different writings to serve the text.
4)Does the show fit with your usual productions?
This show perfectly symbolizes the artistic work of the Collectif Or Normes, a pluralistic writing on stage.
The staged texts are however totally different each time, however an aesthetic is affirmed.
What do you hope that the audience will experience?
I use the different artistic forms to open the senses of the spectator, I hope to make him live a sensory experience.
I like at the end of the performance the silence shared with the spectators, it is deep and full of emotions, then the very generous applause that follows.
Then I hope that they will leave with images full of head, and words that resonate.
What strategies did you consider towards shaping this audience experience?
We will be presenting the show alternately in French and English to allow the English-speaking audience to share this show with us.
Poitiers-based Collectif Or Normes are presenting the UK premiere of La Maladie de la mort (The Malady of Death) in Edinburgh from the 4th to the 28th of August.
La Maladie de la mort has been adapted to the stage from a novella by French literary icon Marguerite Duras (The Lover, The Sea Wall) written while she was struggling with alcoholism. The previous has previously been a smashing hit when adapted by famous producer Bob Wilson in 1997 and in another version starring Fanny Ardant in 2006.
Director Christelle Derré created the 2017 Fringe production in line with the spirit of the novella. It concentrates all the themes which matter to the French author: the loss of desire, the incapacity to love, the inaccessible woman who is successively enhanced and pulled down, loved then hatred.
It narrates the story of a man’s desperate quest to find love by paying a woman to provide the travesty of a relationship. Every single night, the same ceremonial takes place: the woman comes in the room, lays down on the bed and falls asleep.
The man touches her, looks at her, sleeps against her body and sometimes cries in her arms. But he never truly sees her or understands her the way he is trying to.
Duras’ text is read by French comedian Bertrand Farge over a choreographic performance by Alexandra Naudet, a collaborator of the prestigious dance company DCA Philippe Decouflé.
Derré has collaborated with choreographer Odile Azagury to create a piece of physical theatre relying heavily on the female body mxed with a heavy use of digital technologies (imagined by multimedia programmer Martin Rossi) and electronic music (composed by sound designer David Couturier).
The result oscillates between the intimacy of female nudity and the cold emotional distance of the masculine gaze.
This show contains nudity and is for audiences strictly over 16. It will be performed at the Institut français d’Écosse (venue 134 – Randolph Crescent) during Vive le Fringe! both in the original French version and in a brand new English translation (see www.ifecosse.org.uk for details).

71 Reasons Universal Should Build Their Own Avatar Land
I have long said that Nickelodeon must not like money, because they had a potential gold mine on their hands with the Avatar: the Last Airbender and Legend of Korra series. I know from experience that Universal likes money, so they should pounce on said potential gold mine and build an Avatar Land of their own. I have a list of 71 reasons why.
It would make Disney and their Pandora: the World of Avatar and blue people very angry. Has anyone noticed the logo has almost the same font used on all the episode titles?
Avatar: the Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra have HUGE fan bases. The original series premiered in 2005, Korra concluded in 2014 and the fandom is still going strong.
When the Nucleus Art Gallery held a show dedicated to art from shows, the line wrapped around the building for hours with people camping over night for limited edition art prints. I was out there for four hours before we got in.
The vast majority of people waiting for said art show were in full cosplay, so events like the Harry Potter Celebration could be possible.
Republic City would fit in perfectly as a new island in Universal’s Islands of Adventure. It could easily replace the outdated Lost Continent or Toon Lagoon.
Universal has had many partnerships with Nickelodeon in the past. Spongebob and Dora the Explorer currently appear as characters in the parks and in the parade even though they do not have rides.
Universal’s greatest success has been The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Nothing is going to top that, but bringing in another outside, in depth world, could do almost as well.
Legend of Korra’s poor ratings were due to Nickelodeon constantly moving the show’s timeslot around, poor marketing (they literally aired season three with about a weeks notice), and general mishandling of the show. Once it went to digital, the numbers skyrocketed.
Avatar: the Last Airbender and Legend of Korra appeal to all ages. The original series was aimed at boys seven-ten, and I was a thirteen year old girl when I started watching. I was a member of several online fan sites, and I had in depth discussions with people twice my age. I had a professor in college that watched both series with her sons!
This would be Nick’s opportunity to make up for the travesty of the Last Failbender.
Universal needs something with a vast source to pull from for a new land or ride, with opportunities for fans to find their favorite things that were never available before.
Incorporating the Republic City Spirit Portal could also allow guests to step into the Spirit World either on a ride or as part of the land itself.
Universal would have much more creative control and be able to branch out more than they did with the Wizarding World because they would not need the creators’ sign off on every little detail.
As stated previously, Nickelodeon clearly does not like money, so Universal could probably get the rights pretty cheaply.
By focusing on just one area of the Avatar world there would be plenty of material into future expansion if Universal wanted to incorporate it into whatever they’re doing with all that land they purchased. Much like the two Wizarding World lands, there could be a Republic City land and a land dedicated to the original series.
Despite being off the air, there is still new content being created. There are comics coming, slowly but surely, so the fandom can keep growing but they are not dependent on movie sequels.
All of Avatar: the Last Airbender and the first three seasons of Legend of Korra are on Amazon Prime video for easy viewing both for Universal’s research purposes and for people to become acquainted with the world.
My mother has only seen a handful of the episodes start to finish, and she would understand a theme park land based around it with no explanation. I guarantee there are more parents who can do the same.
At one point, a Nickelodeon executive even said Avatar could become their Harry Potter! I agree with you! WHY DID YOU RUIN IT WITH THAT AWFUL MOVIE??
There are already theme park rides that have been built based on the series. One is the central ride to Nickelodeon Universe in the Mall of America called Avatar Airbender and another similar ride exists at Blackpool Pleasure Beach in England. Kings Island previously had one as well before removing all of their Nickelodeon rides.

Fun fact: Avatar: the Last Airbender was the first show to beat Spongebob for the Kids’ Choice Awards for best cartoon in TEN YEARS. It was never nominated again and is the only show to beat the demonic yellow cube.
This would be the one thing that would get me to renew my annual pass with Universal, or get a new one I guess since mine has been expired so long. I think it would do the same for other people.
The best thing about Universal’s Diagon Alley is that you truly step into another world. The high buildings of Republic City would allow for that same effect once again.
Universal clearly wants to continue to grow. New intellectual properties is what they do best. I love Skull Island: Reign of Kong, but it’s a D Ticket attraction at best. Mummy is the only Universal branded ride I would consider an E ticket in addition to Hulk, Forbidden Journey and Escape from Gringotts. Maybe Ripsaw. Maybe.
Avatar and Korra actually have more villains to pull from than Harry Potter does. Rather than having the dementors show up LITERALLY EVERYWHERE you could have Equalist chi blockers, Evil Spirits, Firebender soldiers, the Red Lotus members, Fire Lord Ozai, Azula, Kuvira and her metalbenders, or the Colossus.
For anyone who hasn’t seen the shows, all you need is a preshow for one of the rides that states the opening narration from either series and you perfectly have enough of an understanding to enjoy the ride.
Instead of Houses, people would have elements to choose from, prompting a variety of different apparel options to sell.
Guests could also choose merchandise representing their favorite pro-bending teams.
Instead of interactive wands, there could be interactive gloves or bracelets that would allow guests to set off bending effects instead of spell effects.
There is a wide variety of original creatures to make plush versions of. When The Legend of Korra plush were originally released, they sold out almost immediately and were extremely hard to track down.
Kids could get temporary airbender tattoos or Kyoshi Warrior face paint.
Toy versions of Aang’s staff, Korra’s staff, Zuko’s swords, Jet’s swords, Sokka’s sword, Suki’s fans and Asami’s glove would sell incredibly well.
Once Upon a Tee, TeeFury, Ript Apparel, and other similar sites frequently release shirts based on both series and they sell incredibly well.
Searching “Korra” on Etsy brings up 939 results, searching “Avatar: the Last Airbender” brings up 1,300 results. Clearly there is a market, and that’s just handmade stuff.
Distant Horizon has been hosting an Avatar pumpkin carving contest for TWELVE YEARS.
A merchandise line of toys would do well. The only reason the original Avatar toys sold badly was mistakes made on Matel’s part. They refused to release any of the female characters, and instead chose to focus on alternate versions of male characters in outfits that were never in the show, or on minor characters that appeared only once.
They could sell bending scrolls.
Getting your name written in traditional Chinese characters would be a great souvenir.
They could sell pai sho sets.
A pro-bending stunt show could easily become a new, updated combination of The Eighth Voyage of Sinbad Stunt Show and Poseidon’s Fury.
A Spider-man style ride could take guests through Republic City with Team Avatar chasing down Equalists from Book One or dodging spirits and vines, and trying to stop the Colossus from Book Four.
The series style of blending 2D and 3D animation would work perfectly for simulator 3D rides, which is Universal’s wheelhouse.
They could literally make any ride they wanted and present it as Varrick’s newest invention and guests are test piloting it. “ZHU LI, DO THE THING!”
Using the technology of the Raptor Encounter, a flying bison encounter or even a dragon would be possible.
A flying bison aerial carousel, think like Dumbo, would make a terrific family friendly, all ages ride. Islands of Adventure is badly in need of rides without height requirements.
Germany’s Movie Park has a different style of hang gliding attraction.

The Aang statue would make a nice addition to the Universal sky line.
Many of the voice actors from both series frequently attend fan events and would be able to reprise their roles.
Unlike the Wizarding World, the aging of the actors would have little effect on the ability to produce more content since it would be all animation.
They could do a metalbending zip line attraction and charge for it as an upgraded experience.
The Jasmine Dragon would make an excellent new restaurant and tea shop.
The score is amazing and would lend itself very well to a theme park environment, and the Track Team would probably return to produce new music.
Omashu slides, anyone?
Penguin sledding flume ride.
Ember Island Players stage show. I’m just saying.
Superman style roller coaster with airbender gliders.
Korra was the first non-heterosexual main character in western animation, as the series concludes with her forming a relationship with Asami. That forward thinking and representation is something the world needs. There was nothing explicit or outright stated about it, and there wouldn’t have to be in a theme park either, but it would be a great first step.
Avatar_Mom is submitting the Avatar Fan Panel to San Diego Comic Con for 2017, for a show that’s been off the air for almost ten years. Fans still show up, at the price of missing other cool SDCC things.
An Avatar Fan Convention has been discussed online and is rumored to be in the works.
The cast and crew behind the show still care and want to be involved. At the Nucleus Art Gallery show, only the creators were confirmed to be there. I encountered Seychelle Gabriel, the voice of Asami, Dee Bradley Baker, the voice of Tarrlok and all the animals on the show, Cora Baker, Dee’s daughter and the voice of young Korra, and Giancarlo Volpe, one of the series directors. So that would eliminate the problem they’ve had with Harry Potter actors not wanting to return.
I have cosplayed Korra at Disney on multiple occasions and Universal on one, each time I have been recognized by Cast Members/Team Members and guests, and have been asked for photos. People recognize the character and get excited. Even people who have never seen the show know it’s Avatar.
I have interacted in character with Disney characters and they got it, and it was pretty much the greatest thing ever.
Unlike blue people Avatar, Korra and Avatar: the Last Airbender have had a lasting presence in pop culture. Even Failbender is better remembered for how terrible it was. “Everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked,” is more quoted than anything from that movie.
Verrickland!
Avatar has its own canonical holiday that could be celebrated, Avatar Day is on April 28th as established by the air date of the episode “Avatar Day”.
There are a total of five artbooks with in depth world information to draw from.
Steampunk is all the rage right now and Republic City’s steampunk elements would attract people for photography opportunities.
Avatar: the Last Airbender featured a main character who used her disability to become one of the most powerful benders in the world, and featured a recurring character in a wheelchair.
The Legend of Korra also showed a main character getting critically injured and seeing the character recover from that.
An overturned cabbage cart would be a spectacular photo opportunity.
At the very least, it would have a bigger fan base than Jimmy Fallon.
