the 'wedding night sex interrupted by jimmy's confession about his cartel business' scene is so.... maybe this isn't really the right time to be saying this, it's probably the single most effective way to completely kill the mood, and he could have just waited until afterward, but he's holding true to their agreement to tell each other things, especially when they feel like they shouldn't, and that's so much more important. that was their real vows. and had he put it off once he might have continued to, he might have thought "this is a bad time i'll wait until we're done", and then "well this is so nice i don't want to ruin the moment i'll wait for tomorrow", and then "oh but we're so busy i didn't get the chance", and on and on and on. so the fact that he just plunges into it, bad timing and all, it shows that he's committed to this, he wants to do it right, even when it's hard. and her reaction... it takes her so long to say anything. it's clearly something she doesn't want to hear. or rather, she wishes it wasn't true, because it makes her scared for him, but she's also so relieved he told her about it. that he wasn't just saying he was going to do this, but that he's proving he actually will. the way she nods, and closes her eyes, and shakes her head. her nervous laughter. "you know what? i'm glad you did." tenderly stroking his face with both her thumbs before she kisses him again. she finally has that trust she told him was missing the night before.
