“So, I went to Del Taco and they messed up my meal. I threw a fit for about 20 minutes when I realized it after I got home, but still ended up eating it — with a lot of anger,” Taran laughed, took a drag off his joint, and leaned against the railing of his apartment.

“Merlin everyone is so dull lately. It’s like someone died or something.” Valentine mused before taking a drink from her glass. Being stuck in side the Avery manor had made the blonde notoriously grumpy. She was looking for either some fun or to ruin someone else’s day.

Flik gently placed a small homemade battery into his most recent invention, holding his breath. Okay, so far, so good. He then pressed the power button to turn it on. As soon as his finger pressed down the button a spark emitted from near the battery. Oh shit! Flik quickly ran out of the abandoned classroom and closed the door behind him, shutting in the large plume of black smoke that had begun pouring out of the battery. He looked back and forth in the hallway, hoping it was empty. Unfortunately, he had no such luck. “Did you see that?”

Taran was exhausted, he had just worked a double shift at the zoo - his first in a long time. He smelled like animals and just wanted to get home and shower. He got out of his Uber, thanking the driver, before turning to step onto the sidewalk. In his exhaustion he walked right into someone and knocked the coffee right out of their hand. “Oh, jesus, fuck. I’m so sorry!”

“When you grow up the way I did, theres nothing that would freak out. So go ahead, tell me about the wild thing that happened to you yesterday,” Nuka rest their head in their hands, blinking patiently at the person in front of them.

Valentine was browsing through the shelves occasionally glancing at the list that was hovering beside her. She would have to host another book club soon or the other ladies would think that Valentine wasn’t serious about doing whatever it took to get into their good graces. If that happened everything she and Haven had been working for would have been for naught and Valentine couldn’t fail her sister. She paused long enough to pick something off the shelf and look it over, her eyes growing large and a smile spreading across her face.

It had been such a nice day out that Valentine couldn’t keep locked up inside hers and Dorian’s home. So she decided to go for a walk to Diagon Alley. It had been ages since she’d done some shopping. As she made her way through the slightly crowded streets- Hogwarts being out meant that there were so many people miling about again -stopping short as a few kids raced in front of her and between the legs of others miling about. “It will be a cold day in hell before I decide to have a little monster of my own...”
