In all honesty, the presence of what may have been a human, UV wasn't sure, made him quite uncomfortable, but he wanted to make an effort to be polite for the event. It wouldn't do to be rude. "M-My name is Ultraviolet, what's yours..?"

"Hello there!"

Upon noticing you, the masked boy gave you small smile and wave while you approach. He gave you a quick look up and down before going.

"And i dont think i've seen a digimon like you either?"

He wanted to ask Shoutmon for confirmation- wherever they may have ended up after going through that rift with him... But atleast he can still hear his melody from here, so he could probably find and ask them later.

For now he should introduce himself too.

"I'm Taiki, it's nice to meet you, Ultraviolet!"

Shoutmon stared at the Cherubimon and their offer for a good few seconds, before deciding to push themselves off the ground.

"No, s'okay. Im fine-"

The dragon groaned in reply as he reached for his- otherwise unscathed- mask that came loose during his fall and grabbed onto the giant rabbit's hand to hoist himself off the ground.

"But, thanks for the offer, either way!"

Upon coming out of the rift he came with, which is apparently an inch or two high off of the ground, Shoutmon proceeds to lose their balance....

And tripped face first onto the Garden's grounds... What an entrance huh?

“I’m sorry to ask but are you humon? I’ve never seen a humon, you’re a silly looking guy.”

Taiki blinks once, twice, then thrice at the Digimon that towered over him- though not like he wasn't used to that prospect.

After all, he did fight beside all of his friends, that more of than not, evolved or fused into forms that are much larger than Japhiel's stature.

"Yeah, im a human!"

He smiled, gently correcting the Cherubimon's pronunciation of the word.

"And you must be a Digimon right?"

The boy asks in return, even though it was a no brainer with how he could hear the larger Digimon's melody- lest he somehow has another secret ability to hear voices or sounds from creatures besides Digimon he's completely unaware of.

Shoutmon stared back down at the invitation in their hand. Occasionally flipping it to look at it's back.

In all honesty, neither him or Taiki knew how this invitation got here nor do they remember if they ever got invited to an event of any kind.

The dragon flips over the invitation to it's back again, expecting for someone else's name to appear. When they're met with none, they groan before shouting;

"Oooii, Taiki! Are ya done yet? You better not try wearing that shitty blazer-over-shirt combo again!"

"No, im not!"

The boy shouts back in reply from behind the bathroom door before opening it to show that, he was infact, not wearing that fashion disaster of a combo.

"Especially not after you fussed over it the first time i tried."

"Taiki we had a month to prepare, im not gonna let you half ass it like that one time with Akari."

"Fair."

Taiki chuckled, raising both his hands in surrender. As he approached his partner, eventually the brunette's eyes landed on the invitation in the dragons hand.

"Anyhow, how are we even going to attend without an address...?"

"That's a good que-"

Before Shoutmon could even finish their sentence, something bursts out from the invitation and sparks into the space infront of both of them.

And in it's place, a rift crackles open.

".... Neeeeevermind then!"

"That's... Awfully convenient."

After much consideration and with not much reason to not to, both of them step into the rift.

After briefly giving eachother a look, any semblance of the other Shoutmon's previous casualness dissipates into the air like steam.

"Salutations, esteemed Duchess and her loyal guardian. I am Shoutmon, the benevolent ruler and King of the Digital World."

They step forward before bowing down in the most regal, practiced manner you've ever seen.

"And this is my most trusted general, who also happen to be my brother in arm."

Shoutmon then gestures to the masked boy, who only nods as his expression morphs into something more akin to amusement, not following suit with any of the grand introduction his partner has set up.

"And we are here because..."

Instead of receiving an answer, you watch as the dragon open his mouth before closing it again, then immediately turning back to their partner and stage whispers;

"Taiki, what were we invited here for again?"

The boy, now known as Taiki, chuckles in reply before shrugging.

The dragon digimon approached with a grin, trailing not too far behind them was a boy, who then added;

"Or any other humans, as far as i know."

In all honesty, the fact he can't hear anything else but Shoutmon's digimelody here should have set something off that neither was this the Digital World nor is Ultraviolet was not a digimon— but oh well.

He began, looking around their surroundings for anyone that looked atleast vaguely like UV, albeit a much smaller one, which admittedly would make looking for her a tad bit more difficult.

"Well, they don't necessarily live computers, but more of an entirely different world that's kinda like a computer? So that's kind of the case?"

Taiki added with a nervous shrug.

On one hand, times like these were times where he could really use Wisemon's help explaining what Digimon and the Digital World is to UV, but on the other he'd rather not have them poke and experiment on the Pokemon...

It's definitely not pleasant to be on the receiving end of it, he should know that.

And from the sounds of it, UV might have been on the receiving end at some point as he listened to him talk about PokeBalls and their functions with such a vehement dislike.

It sounded like how the Xros Loader functions, sans the tight small spaces...

But it's not like he had any reason to show him that anytime soon.

Taiki laughs as UV floated around him, throwing question after another about Digimon in general with great curiosity.

Even if you were worried about Taiki potentially being someone who'd harm you, the boy seemed more good-natured than whoever was after you all this time.

"Well, Digimon are... Kind of like people."

He began, a soft glint of fondness evident in his eyes.

"They laugh, they cry, and fight like we do..."

He then paused for a moment before adding with a weak chuckle;

"In a sense if you dont count that they're sometimes super huge, made out of data and capable of eviscerating you at a whim..."
