OKAY, SO!!
Since you're probably talking about that one doodle with Kevin and her face, I'll focus on that! In arc 3 she makes part of the cult because of her parents, how it happened will still be decided, but either way she does. Meanwhile, Kevin is literally almost a "target", as the only co-worker in the CandyClub (CD's store), and we know that at some point they'll go after him. And even if they broke up in arc 2, Carmilla still loves him and in no way wants to see him dead or something. The Candy Dealer knows it and tries to hide it from her, but it fails, making her betray the cult and save him instead. It may not have saved him 100%, but it's a betrayal regardless.
As much as the Candy Dealer is in a higher rank he can't just spare her because she's his daughter, other members (and maybe even Skiddad) would be mad and it would be bad for his reputation, so he let her be punished for ruining their plans. Capucine (<- her mother) was totally against it but couldn't complain either.
They burned, cut and basically destroyed her face, seeing that it was the most precious thing to her. The bruises also caused her to lose her left eye.
I also have in mind that maybe, her punishment was "too harsh" because she'd threat to leave and tell everyone about this "stupid cult", so it'd be a permission to leave but with a warning. I also need to develop some more on how Carmilla and Kevin developed such attachment to the point she sacrifices herself, since to me they're still a little blank.
And speaking of SpoiledCandy, in arc 3 they also reconciliate and start dating again. Carmilla, despite heavily traumatized and quiet, is now also a "hypocrite" because she keeps judging people based on their appearance, consequently hating her own. She also gets more rude and takes notes on both appearance AND personality, so people like Carmen are now treated like shit by her. Kevin knows she'll probably never change, maybe even get worse, but he decided to not try to get her a "development" like in arc 2 and accept her the way she is, to notice how she treats HIMSELF, aka very well. She also stops demanding more from Kevin since Kevin himself is more disposed to protect her after everything, and because she realizes how life isn't a strawberry for him to treat her like a queen everytime.
They both learn to accept each other in different ways.
