i just love the concept that kimi won't attend the f1 movie premiere because he's preparing for the written exams of literally the most traumatic exam in the history of the italian school system.

and it's the stupidiest exam, but racing in formula 1 is not comparable to the ptsd that la maturità leaves on italians.

“Well, that’s a good sign,” Bobby says, looking pleased where he’s watching Chimney tread water away from the island, a giant smile stretching across his bobbing head. “I think the problem is the number of us,” he then declares. “Three people landed on this island, three people have been here for the allotted time, which means three people need to leave.” Eddie nods, fisting his hands in his clothes and moving to stand when Bobby’s next words stop him in his tracks. “So I think I should stay back.” 

All four heads snap to the front of the boat where Bobby is standing serenely, like he offered to grab somebody an extra drink, not extend his forced time on the island by another six years. 

“Bobby, that’s-” Eddie stutters, unable to comprehend what exactly Bobby is offering. 

“No, it’s what’s right. You have a son to get back to, a son and a family of your own that’s relying on you, and you deserve to get back to them.” 

He talks resolutely, like he’s- 

Like he’s thought about it before. 

It clicks in Eddie’s brain then, the look in Bobby’s eyes all of those times he told Buck he understood his hesitancy about the plan; he’d been thinking of this. 

“Bobby,” Eddie whispers, because he can’t say anything else. 

The captain walks to him, claps him on the shoulder and looks him in the eye. “You getting home to your little boy is what matters. I have no idea if this will work or it it’s like Buck said and the barrier is watching us somehow, but. I hope it works.”

Truce - Ch3 Preview 4/?

My personal favorite line from this set-up exposition-dump flashback scene? “The way I see it, none of you are in any position to criticize me after your own fuck-ups doing things ‘proper.’ …Who do y’reckon I am? I’m not a bloody bull in a china shop. My senses are not going to suddenly take flight just because I got Homelander in me crosshairs.” Scornful laughter escaped her throat. “Ohhh, that’s rich—coming from you!” Billy might not have noticed it himself, but she’d noticed all the times he stared at Homelander’s likeness—whether it be a page he’d ripped from a magazine and pinned to a dartboard, a collectible action figure, a toy, or whenever a Homelander commercial played on TV. Billy would always pause what he was doing to glance over. Almost as if Homelander were the most beautiful damsel in the world. Billy’s eyes shone with barely restrained desire…to see Homelander’s blood spill. Her frustration with him resurfaced. Annie accused, “See! Look! You can barely control yourself when I say his name—!”
