this chapter made me so emo about Keiichi. I still don't really get what his deal is but for him to start out as a bully and a petty rival, and then this??

boy loves his hometown so much that he literally has no greater ambition than to live and die in it. meanwhile his brother has his sights on the NHL; Rou is aiming for the Olympics. is it heartwarming that Keiichi treasures his home so much that he can't see anything beyond it, or sad that he has hundreds of photos of the same factory smokestack that he's already planning to die staring at??

I don't know. but Noda could have easily made Keiichi the hotshot rival who thinks he deserves the best in the world, but instead he made Keiichi a big fish dreaming only of his small pond.

I don't even need to know Eustace's backstory to get the vibe that his behavior is a result of trauma tbh. Like I DO know what his dad is like, and I'm sure Excelsius will move up a few spots on the "I want to throw them into the Thames" list when I finish Prosecutor’s Gambit, but I cannot help but notice Eustace asks for Gavèlle's reassurance a lot. It's making me really sad honestly. Like this poor kid acts SO confident but seeks reassurance too much for his confidence to be completely genuine. Eustace deserves a hug

for the most part i think powerscaling sonic characters is pointless and theres no objective answer to most questions of who is stronger or who would beat who in a fight because the truth is that the answer to those questions will always be determined by what works best for the story being told . however. it does kinda bug me when shadow is portrayed as significantly more powerful than all the other characters and people (whether it be official writers or people in the sonic fandom) act like none of the other characters stand a chance against him in a fight or whatever because thats just demonstrably not true. i mean yeah hes the ultimate lifeform but that doesnt mean everyone else is weak and powerless compared to him

i genuinely do believe i have a pretty good memory when it comes to learning things. ive read many books all the way through 1 time and managed to recall 90% of the events when telling it to someone. i remember facts from classes i took years ago. most of my memory is spent on things that dont matter,

Does everyone in Hazbin Hotel /need/ to be redeemed?

I was thinking, and heaven and getting redeemed is a great goal I guess but at the same time it feels like one of those goals you have when you're a child and don't know any better. Like, heaven is the perfect life filled with fame and fortune we all have at some point in our lives, but what about personal heaven?

What if Husk or Angel realize that their version of "heaven" is staying in hell and continuing to help with the hotel?

Not everyone can reach or wants to reach the pearly gates, but what about instead making their own version where they're happy even if they aren't among the winners?

Once you've been redeemed, what then? What if you realize you hate it? Realize that, life in heaven is not what you expected but now you have to deal with it? Or if you feel guilty that you were redeemed but your best friend wasn't?
