     The compliment had been unexpected, and for a moment, Link hadn’t even truly REGISTERED the words spoken to their fullest. He could tell from the corner of his eye, whilst he brushed loose strands of honey behind an ear and worked on claiming the wriggling catch of the day from a net, that Ignis had been addressing him-- that the words spoken had been KIND and pleasant and something to consider with gratefulness. 

     Normally, the hero would be eager to return the compliment, UNFAZED and a bit dim to catch any underlying motive one may have for giving such words.

     “I-... h-huh?” And yet that wasn’t the case, here and now. The blond had TORN his focus from the netted fish, sapphires staring wide at the brunet by his side, ears and cheeks positively BLOOMING. “... y-you... I’m... what?” Full sentences seemed impossible to form, and from the looks of it, so did the execution of general function. 

     And so the hero remained ungracefully staring in surprise, mouth agape as he floundered for words, brain seemingly having shut down, posture FROZEN in a half lean whilst fingers loosely held the half-submerged net in his grasp.

     The fish had long since WRENCHED itself from the net.
