     He hadn’t expected such a reaction from her upon his return, sporting no small amount of cuts and bruises, though those were to be expected in his line of work. Still, her INTENSE gaze upon him, hands flitting about his person as they took in each and every reddened piece of torn skin and darkened spot, sapphires couldn’t help but follow along with her wandering eyes in silence. 

     They didn’t hurt, at least, not very MUCH, but the manner in which she poised the inquire made something within him jostle and caused him to wince. There held a promise within her tone, something DARK and gritty and guaranteeing anyone in the way in the way of it a world of hurt.

     Link couldn’t remember a time anyone was such a way over him.           The thought alone made his heart beat just a little bit FASTER within his chest.

     “Hey, I’m alright.” He murmured the reassurance, grasping hold of her hand and leaning into the touch. “It’s okay... I’m okay... It’s nothing, alright?” Voice gentle, he planted a kiss against her palm to further drive the words HOME. “I’m okay, Nikki...” And upon the end of that statement, her true name dancing on his tongue, his tone grew impossibly SOFT, lashes having fluttered shut to merely indulge in her touch against his face and lips, a stark contrast to the stinging wounds to litter his skin.

     O-oh... He sure HOPED his face didn’t look quite as on fire as it felt... Did he look as excited as he FELT, too? How embarrassing-- School yourself, Link! Behave!

     “O-okay !!” Yeah, that didn’t sound EAGER at all. You would be eager too, if you had the chance to be lifted by a beautiful and strong woman.

⚘              How will YOUR muse sing to Link? || ❀ ♪ - Just right

     Her voice was a pleasant breeze, GRACING his ears with the utmost gentility as it wove it’s tune all around him. Her song coupled with that of the starry night was almost enough to cause the hero to fall asleep, the blond swaying from his seated place ever so slightly, and if it hadn’t been for her ever SOLID presence pressed at his side, he was sure he would have fallen over by now. As such, he only managed to lean a bit more heavily against her, head coming to rest against her own whilst lashes gradually slipped shut.

     It was a wondrous moment of PEACE.

     “s’pretty...” The hero murmured quietly, not wanting to DISCOURAGE her from singing with the interruption of praise, but unable to keep it to himself, either.

     She had a LOVELY voice, after all, and it should be made apparent that he thought so.

     It’s instinct in which he leans into her touch as they sat beside one another in the grass, one leg splayed before him whilst the other was HUGGED close to his chest. Peaceful-- it all felt so peaceful, a moment’s rest in which the hero could breathe after a day’s worth of adventure and paranoia. His muscles ACHED, his body sore from the exertion, but here and now, he could rest and smile by Eryl’s-- Nikki’s-- side.

     “If I didn’t know any better, I would say you were doing some sort of magic right now.” He hummed, eyes having slipped shut as he used her shoulder for SUPPORT. “... It’s not magic, right?” Of course, the blond was joking, knowing full well he was just a sap for hair touches and brushing.

     Still... he was... awfully relaxed...

     “... Right?” He HAD to look at her now, half of a chuckle bubbling from his lips. Perhaps she simply had that effect on him?
