It was definitely a memorable trip. They even got lost a couple of times! But it was all worth it when they found that one shop. Steven loved those old shops, they held mystery and history. An amazing place full of books!

"See, this is an incredible place!"

Steven went inside and started looking around. There were a great many books! He would have loved to buy them all. But he didn't have much money. That's how it all started, right?

"Hello? Is anyone there?"

Woo-hoo! Road trip!! Well, as near as a quick jaunt through London's streets, with all the traffic and intersections could get to one. It reminded Thera briefly, in just a passing thought while Steven was making his call, that she'd promised him a proper trip outside the city one day - maybe over to her old haunts in the west.

But that was for later ... hopefully soon, but later. Today they're on a mission to buy the rare book he's discovered.

It takes around half an hour to weave through traffic, get lost for a minute (twice), then find the bookshop in a place where ... Thera doesn't remember ever seeing a bookshop before.

It's something that has her very curious as they walk up to the door and go in ...

Steven felt his face redden even more. She accepted his offer. Moreover, she hinted at more. Exactly the most that he sometimes imagined in his wildest fantasies.

"T-that's a g-good idea. Yes. B-bedroom, TV…something hot and strawberry…"

Steven never went to bed with any girl. Well… he didn't go any further with any girl than an acquaintance and an unsuccessful date, where he was often absent. What should be done in such situations?

"D-do you have t-things for…strawberry? Y-you know those things that will protect us from… Taweret gifts… I mean…protection is good isnt it?"

"Yes, probably."

Children will be their parents' problem anyway. He sees them once or twice in the museum, but his parents see them all the time. Education is not an easy thing. His mother was the best mother in the world. She raised him with love and care, but was strict in the right places. So he grew up the way he is. Someday mom will get tired of traveling and they will finally meet again. He missed her. Talking on the phone is one thing, but meeting in person…

"Oh! I get it! Yes, board games are great! But the casino… I'm not rich enough to afford to lose a lot of money. Gus and I won't have anything to eat."

Steven called this day shopping day. Their fridge was empty, not even a hanging mouse. Plus, they had to buy a dozen different little things that each of them needed. It was necessary to make their apartment more comfortable. less dust, more useful things.

Marc was the first to notice that something was wrong. The door was otherwise closed. He really wanted to draw a gun, but then he would have to listen to the grumbling of Steven, who was already hard to come to terms with the presence of this in their lives.

But the gun would not be needed. It was Thera. The only thing she had on was a towel. Marc put his purchases on the floor and chuckled.

"What a nice view to come back home" "Oh, hi! Why didn't you say you were coming?" Steven asked. "Then there would probably be no surprise, I guess" "Oh, right!"

Steven's heart was beating so fast. that was ready to jump out of his chest. Like he ran a race. He was surprised she didn't hear it. But it's better that way, isn't it? Steven couldn't stop thinking about Thera all this time. It was above him. This new feeling took over his head. He didn’t even get upset anymore from the eternal lack of sleep or finding himself in unexpected places.

"Good. Then I'll begin."

He was nervous. It was an approved kiss and it should be special. Unfortunately, you can't learn kissing from tutorials or YouTube videos. He just wanted to hope it wasn't too bad.

Ghosts. He has never seen ghosts. Almost. On the other hand, it couldn't be called a ghost. But that's not what she's interested in.

"I'm sorry, but I've never seen a ghost here. Maybe I'm not paying attention. I'm sometimes distracted, so I might not notice something."

They are unlikely to be suspects. Let it stay that way.

Judging by the way Thera's face scrunched up, she wasn't the type to like anime. Steven could understand her. Anime has had many genres and if you started with something that left a negative impression or seemed stupid, you are unlikely to return to it again. Steven was lucky, he started with Miyazaki cartoons.

"Yamato? Never looked unfortunately."

Steven's eyes lit up as she agreed to see the Mummy. It was one of his favorite films. Despite many historical inaccuracies, these films always lifted his spirits.

"Oh, do you really think so? Yeah! We're very similar! We might even go on a real expedition one day! Except we're definitely not going to resurrect mummies. That's one big bad idea."
