Marzo tuvo de todo, pero sobre todo fue un mes para reconectar, a través de las cosas simples.

🤓 Reading Este mes traté de retomar la lectura para bajar un poco la ansiedad, y me ayudó muchísimo. Los libros que me acompañaron fueron:

📚 Los chamanes eléctricos en la fiesta del sol de Mónica Ojeada

📚 Las cosas que perdimos en el fuego de Mariana Enriquez

📚 La vergüenza de Annie Ernaux

📚 Yo que nunca supe de los hombres de Jacqueline Harpman

Mi elección de libros quizá no fue la más relajante al final (jaja); sin embargo, el mantenerme picada y enfocada me dio un respiro de la vida digital.

🥣 Eating La comida de mi mamá fue el highlight de marzo. Comer con ella y mi papá me hace sentir como en ese lugar seguro al que siempre quiero volver. Hubo un poquito de todo, sopitas, ensalada, guisaditos caseros pero con mucho valor y sabor.

🥁 Playing Este mes estuvo lleno de música tranquila, y Alice Phoebe Lou fue mi compañía favorita. Perfecta para leer, trabajar, antes de dormir o simplemente para dejar que el tiempo pasara sin prisa.

💖 Obsessing No puedo dejar de mencionar mi obsesión con el aceite de coco. Este mes intenté incluirlo en mi rutina; sirve para todo: cocinar, cuidar la piel, el cabello… así que lo mantuve cerca.

📓 Recommending La app Arts & Culture fue uno de mis mejores descubrimientos. Te da reportes personalizados según tus temas de interés. He descuubierto que es una buena forma de invertir tiempo cuando estoy en modo scrolling.

💆🏻‍♀️ Treating Mis tardes favoritas de marzo fueron en la hamaca del patio cuando bajaba el sol y a la sombra de la palmera. Fueron mis momentos favoritos para tomar un poco de aire, refrescarme y leer un poco.

📓? (I will also always pry for more thoughts about Ven & Kairi adventures or Ghosts of All We’ve Known)

YES OKAY SO. A fanfic idea that's been bouncing around my head since KH3 ended has basically been one where Ven and Kairi team up to go look for Sora. The gist was that the two of them would--well, more or less sneak away and look for Sora on their own, haha. From what I can remember:

There was A Lot of stuff about learning how to cope with grief and loss. One of the main themes was, of course, Kairi and Ven both learning how to grapple with the idea that Sora might not come back, but there was also the idea of Ven dealing with the loss of like... the person who he used to be.

Related to the above, the initial plans were that...well, Sora wouldn't end up coming back. Since learning how to live with your grief was such a major theme, it felt more thematically appropriate for Sora to remain dead in this version.

Also related to the above, the fic would've explored Ven's lost past EXTENSIVELY. I planned on Subject X showing up at some point (though I could never decide exactly how), as well as the Foretellers and Luxu. The main plot outside of bringing Sora back was trying to unravel who the Foretellers were and what they were doing here, with Luxu ending up being the main antagonist in the end.

Vanitas was going to get a full-on redemption arc! The idea was that initially he was just kind of wandering (without much else to guide him), Ven and Kairi ran into him and things got Messy, he got the full memories of their past first and ended up joining with Luxu briefly before switching over to help Ven and Kairi in the climax.

As for Kairi--a lot of her arc outside of the whole "dealing with grief" thing would be about growing into herself and dealing with the fallout of...everything that happened to her in KH3. I imagine she probably had a lot of insecurities given...everything that happened (plus a lot of trauma given she was, you know...killed by Xehanort), and some of her arc would've focused on learning how to move past that.

Ven and Kairi largely would've been friends, but Ven also would've been something of a mentor figure to Kairi! Kind of as a way to help both of them grow, haha.

Some of the worlds I remember were Olympus Coliseum, Moana, Atlantis, Brave, and Coco. They would've gone to Olympus Coliseum first, which is where some of Kairi's insecurities would be explored, and Ven would first...kind of start to step into a mentor role. Moana would've explored a lot of Kairi's more adventurous side, Coco would've been used to explore grief, and Atlantis and Brave were...mostly because I liked them, haha. (I was also trying to think up worlds where the Foretellers would appear, so Brave was, uh...chosen for Aced.)

Fun fact: this one got really close to actually being written. I actually had some of a first chapter written (though I think I lost it when my old computer died), but ended up not going through with it because I wasn't sure if I wanted to return to writing fanfic quite yet.

Fun fact number two: This is the fic that originally had the title of "On the Edge of Daybreak." After I decided not to write it, the title got transferred over to my Skuld-is-Subject-X fic.

I'm honestly not sure if I'll ever return to this idea or not. I still like it, but I'm not quite as anxious to write it as I was after KH3. But then, if Nomura doesn't give us much else to chew on--who knows!

I have several fanfic ideas for several fandoms, but if you are following me right now, you're probably here for my Coco/Encanto content, so I'll stick with those. For Coco, I had the idea that Héctor wakes up one day to find that his skull is missing. Or, more accurately, his body is missing, and his skull (and his consciousness) are in a dark place somewhere unknown. His body stumbles home to his family, who try to communicate with it through touch to try to find out where his head is. It would be a comedy, but possibly also drama, but I actually had no idea where his head was and how it ended up there, which is why I never wrote it. For Encanto, it's my second sequel to "Sympathy Pain." The first sequel is slowly getting written as we speak, but I have another sequel planned to follow it, which will actually be a prequel. It will be about the Madrigal triplets as adolescents dealing with periods for the first time, and Bruno of course being the odd one out who still tries his best to be supportive of his sisters. okay so at some point i was going to crash into your dms with all this, but since we're here, i'm just going to lay out what i had in mind for our babes!

I never really went into detail about this anywhere in Adrenaline's bios or fics, but she was born a dolphin shapeshifter into a clan that exists in a parallel universe.

The clan she came from is very big on loyalty. Nali was quite young when she committed treason and as punishment, she was banished from both the clan and the realm. Not only that, but the clan leader, Mestre Moonfire, stripped her of her shapeshifting abilities. He intended to take away her storm magic too, but she was able to hold onto that by sheer willpower alone.

As much as Nali wants to forget about the past, if she gives up maintaining certain rituals from her clan, she will die a slow, painful death. So she's in this constant state of severe homesickness and deep shame whenever she's completely sober.

So far, Nali has never met another shapeshifter, especially one with marine forms. That's why she would go completely feral AND soft meeting Fei. Because she longs to return to her own true form and she misses her friends/family from back home.

Knowing Nali, she wouldn't actually say, 'oh heya. i'm technically a shapeshifter too!' She would just want to live vicariously through Fei and hear about all of her adventures in and out of the water. She'd also very much want to smooch please and thank you.

the prompt! coco has an old ipod with a playlist on it titled 'velvet' that she puts songs on that remind her of moments she shares with velvet. one night, after a totally-not-a-date, coco lends velvet her jacket and forgets to take it back when she drops her off at home, at which point velvet finds the ipod and listens through the playlist, remembering each of the memories until it comes to the last song: an angsty one about how coco's feelings are driving her mad. i call it the playlist au (or the play-u) and i desperately wanna write it bc i love soft crosshares and my gf already helped me make a playlist
