I know Evie has an official handwriting look because we can see her notebook entries in the game, but I tried to find a font super similar to this. I think this is probably one of the closest. I think Evie, as the perfectionist she is, tries to make all her handwriting clear and concise. Even if she's the only one looking over her own notebook entries, she has the instinct to make it as readable and professional as possible.

Since Jacob in the 19th century, cursive was the writing style most people wrote in. Jacob still follows this, but I think Jacob's handwriting is more simplistic and less "professional". He writes quicker than Evie and spends less time trying to perfect his handwriting since Jacob doesn't like to spend his time writing. His handwriting is still neat, which shows Jaco has spent time perfecting his handwriting when he was younger.

Sean! So Sean is illiterate, but I would imagine he learned how to write out his name in reform school. Supposedly Sean has official handwriting in the game files, but I don't think Sean cares for cursive writing at all lmao. "Why do I have to write in cursive when this works just as well?" he takes pride in his less eloquent handwriting. A lot of the retracing over his words is from his time practicing how to read and write. He has to commit the shape of what's his writing to memory.

I decided to do Evie & Ben to change up things a bit. Idk how things are going to go in our thread and how their dynamic will progress, but this is more centered on my own headcanons if the two turn out to be friends.

1. Even though her memory isn’t the greatest on all of the flower meanings, Evie does have some remembrance of flower meanings and around camp she will let Ben know about the supposed meanings behind all the flowers scattered around camp whenever she stumbles across one.

2. There are times where Evie wants to correct Ben on something, or mention how there is an easier tool to solve something, but she quickly realizes she’s not in the 1860’s anymore and some of the technology and items she is used to do not exist in the 18th century.

3. Sort of like all of my muses, I feel like Evie and Ben would argue because Evie can be pretty stubborn sometimes. She isn’t as temperamental as Lydia is, she has grown more of a patience from dealing with her twin brother all these years, but eventually she will argue with Ben. Especially if he thinks her plan won’t work or restricts her by her sex.

4. Eventually Evie will somehow be able to make a copy of her hidden blade/gauntlet that she showed Ben. She mostly made it in case her current one broke, but eventually she gifts it to Ben to look over because he seemed intrigued by it during their first meeting.

when you say "i love you," it carries the whole weight of your heart. it feels like closing your eyes and stepping off a cliff. maybe you've been planning to tell them for days now, or maybe it's just slipped out without you realizing, either way, it was inevitable. it's relief and dread all at once, it's mortifying yet hopeful. the words hang heavy and suspended in the air, thick enough to choke on, a brief and perilous moment against the mortal pull of gravity .

Thinking about all of my muses that have a vampire verse and all of their individual thoughts on it

Hewlett: big religious guilt. Believes he's punished by God for a variety of reasons and thinks he is a monster or a demon. Just can't find any time to relax with the large hunger he has for blood in the beginning of his "transformation." (Not like they actually transform but it's he only word I can think of). A lot of guilt and I don't think he ever becomes fully comfortable, but he slowly accepts it because he has no other choice. Absolutely despises the "immortality" part.

Lydia: Already is a spy/working for the spy ring, so hiding a part of herself isn't new to her. She's more concerned about getting a constant blood source and tracking down the vampire in the Patriot camp that turned her (likely the same guy that turned Hewlett for consistancy sake). Indifferent towards it, finds both the pros and cons in it.

Evie: Is more in favor of it and it's all she's ever known. She likes the strengths it gives her and the time she has to really grow and develop as a person (and all the hobbies, projects, and activities she involves herself in). She isn't against manipulation or using people for blood because like I said, it's all she knows and sees it as a surivival necessity because if she doesn't drink blood: she will weaken and not survive. She also has the worst vampire "curse" with her wounds never healing.

Jacob F: It is all he has known but has found the flaws in it after all this time. He uses to really like it but finds it more a hassle with how he has to keep it under the wraps around everyone. He has to be extremely careful with not airing out the family's vampire secret to the townspeople. He finds that part to be incredibly draining. Doesn't like to manipulate people and hates he might have to do that to survive. Finds more cons in it than pros. Also has a strained relationship with his father and his sister, so that also has some part in his dislike of being a vampire. (Especially because he was young when it happened and didn't know better. Ethan didn't force it on them but really wanted all of his children to become vampires, so there is some peer pressure there and to "follow the family" and appease everyone).

Thinking about how Evie desperately wants to reconnect with her brother in her r.dr2 verse, believing she can change his ways and how her life could somehow become simple once again as it was in her childhood when he finds him. Also thinking about when Jacob left, Evie felt pushed to fill his role of being the "man" of the household that Jacob abandoned. She had her own ambitions and didn't want to cater to society's expectations of women, but feeling the pressure to fill that role while also fighting the urge to fall back into what's expected of her to make her life easier (but obviously still way way easier for her than for others with the fact the Frye family had a lot of money).

00.  the fool  :  what are your muse’s thoughts on new beginnings ? does it frighten them or  excite them ?

Lydia: Lydia likes new beginnings! There might be some anxious excitement there for the unexpected, but generally, she isn’t scared of change and new beginnings. (Since involvign herself in the war is a new beginning with her, she’s never seen bloodshed or wars fought in front of her in her life).

Evie: Evie was trained by her father to be aware of surpirses, usually in battles (since she is an assassin after all), so anything new doesn’t necessarily frigthen her. Even though Evie is a big perfectionist, more than Lydia, and she did grow up with high expectations in her household, but she also places high expectations on herself. (A lot of it is to live her father’s legacy in a way after his passing, to not disappoint him); Evie does have a lot of confidence in her abilities and in herself. She knows how well her taining paid off for her and that she can use her intelligence to figure out plans and strategies and to solve problems, a new beginning doesn’t scare her all that much if it’s similar to her training and her being an assassin. 

An example would be if somehow she couldn’t be an assassin and had to be more “normal”, that would frighten her a bit because it’s unfamiliar and she never thought of anything outside the Brotherhood. But going to a new country or place to get rid of Templars, to do her assassin duties, that’s not going to scare her.

03.  the empress  :  does your muse have parental / nurturing figures in their life ? how do they impact them ?

Lydia: At the moment, no, not in camp. She has a few parental figures in her life back in Philadelphia. She’s still in connection with her childhood teacher, her dance teacher, and her parents -- those would be the parental/nurturing figures in her life. I think Lydia is probably on good terms with a few camp members, nothing to call friends since Lydia is usually busy, but a few she helped out that she got along with. 

Evie: Her father and George Westhouse would be Evie’s two nuturing and parental figures in her life, from her childhood. George and her father were close friends and she knew George all through her childhood, but Evie now has to take that “parental” role for her brother, Jacob. Mostly because she fixes his mistakes. Evie would be the “mothering” friend to some people in her life lmao.

Weird analysis but I wonder if the whole "work-alcoholic" trait I give Evie could be a (symbolic?) representation of the industrial revolution time period (though syndicate takes place more at the tail end of it when workers' protections were gaining more traction).

Evie is from a wealthy family, but I just wonder with the way production was seen as super important and workers had long hours and little breaks for all of the heavy labor they were doing, somehow comes in in some way with Evie's workalcoholic attitude where she never stops working. (Not only that, but she fucks up her sleep schedule badly with this mindset because she pushes through it).

She wants to protect these people (and get rid of the Templars, y'know) and give them rights and fair treatment, but Evie in essence is burning herself out by the pressure she puts herself through where she gives herself the same unfair treatment these factories are giving their workers.

( ooc ): hmmm thinking about Jacob's self doubt/humbleness in his main verse and while he has confidence in his own assassination method and how it's a contrast to what's usually taught, he's not used to being praised because of how he was always seen in the shadow of Evie growing up. Evie was always the better one, she was more intelligent, proficient. She was practically untouchable in how expectations are weighed.

Also thinking of how Evie's whole habit of having to fix Jacob's messes and how she usually intervenes at some point is a way for her to feel like she has some control in her chaotic situation in London. Their father just died, Evie is still searching for the Piece of Eden with little success and meeting more dead ends, the threat of Templar's influence over London.
