“there’s nothin’ that would make me love you less either.” lucy gray tells him in return, looking at his chin while his fingers brush back her hair. “yeah, smart dinosaur,” saying affectionately, nuzzling into his neck, shivers running up her spine at the kiss to her shoulder. “slow feels best. i don’t want things with my cowboy prince to deteriorate an’ fall apart.” sadness in her voice, the idea of it happening again is enough reminder why she is scared and paranoid in the first place. “i’ll tell you.” lucy gray promises, sitting here awhile longer in his warmth before deciding to push herself up, “well guess i’ll go get ready for bed now, pick up our food and brush my teeth i mean.” and go to their separate bedrooms.
