if there was one thing that glen was relived about was being home with sydney when she went into labor. it wasn't exactly planned that she was going to have the babies on a random friday. he honestly thought that they had a few more weeks before they'd be welcoming in their little ones, but they clearly had other plans and how could they be upset about that. his family was supportive as ever with watching the dogs back at home, and also being there at the hospital — both his mom and dad waiting in the waiting room until he came out to announce that they had been born and were both healthy. the entire experience was filled with so many damn emotions that glen didn't or better yet, couldn't grasp all that had happened. he was now a new dad to a little boy and little girl, and his significant other? she was doing well despite it all. there was many photos taken before, during and after the birth — there was also a lot of video taking, because this was something he didn't want to ever forget and it'd be something he'd want to show them once they both got older. as both of the babies were taken to get their weight and foot prints done, glen stayed beside sydney and he was beaming with so much happiness. he looked at her in a new light, one that said "holy shit, you're strong and i fucking love you" — leaning in, he pressed a kiss against her forehead and stayed there for a brief moment as he took it all in. "I love you so god damn much, sweetheart." he finally managed to say softly, fighting away the tears that were edging in his eyes. @sydbswccncy

Glen watched the way her fingers curled around his, the way her eyes dropped for just a second before she looked back up at him. She was trying to play it cool — he could tell — but there was something just beneath the surface. Something she wasn’t saying yet. He didn’t press. Not now. Instead, he held on to the moment, grateful for it. He smiled softly at her last question, rubbing his thumb lightly over the back of her hand. “Yeah…I figured they'd be in our room for a while too,” he said. “I don’t think I’m gonna want ‘em too far away anyway.” His voice dropped a little, gentle. “I keep picturing it, you know? Waking up in the middle of the night to tiny crying sounds. You half asleep, me stumbling around trying to remember how to warm a bottle.” He chuckled, then shook his head. “I used to think I needed everything perfect before I could be ready. A perfect plan. A perfect house. A perfect…version of me.” He looked at her then, really looked. “But now? I just keep thinking — as long as it’s you and me, and them — then we’ll be okay.”
There was a stillness between them for a moment, not heavy, just full. Like something real had settled in the space they were building together. He leaned in, not with any teasing this time, just quiet intention, pressing a kiss to her forehead. “We’ll figure out the rooms. We’ll figure out all of it. And if it ever feels like too much, you tell me. No carrying things alone.” He let the words hang there a beat longer than usual, just to make sure she heard him. Then, softer — “as for having the upper hand before you get bigger than a house...you're still gong to look sexy. And I'll remind you of that once you do start showing." He wanted to ensure that she knew that just because her appearance was going to change, it didn't mean that he'd want her any less.
sydney was relieved that things could be more relaxed. she knew that they both had been worried about, everything. she nodded, trying her hardest to not smile," mhm." a giggle escaped from her at how he spoke and the way he leaned in. she couldn't resist leaning in, herself," i guess i'll enjoy having the upper hand while i can before i get as big as a house." she knew that they needed to still have moments were things were light. they didn't need to be stressing over every little thing, always. though she knew that they had a lot of choices that they needed to make. she knew that glen wanted to support her throughout it all. "i thought it might," she admitted," you think that she'd turn it into a full on county fair?" she was shaking her head at the very thought, feeling his fingers brush against hers. she glanced towards her plate before she looked up at him," lets hope it's a dream team and not a storm, we don't need that." she knew that he considered texas to be home and she wanted to support that. she nodded, squeezing his hand gently," it's home, isn't it?" there was the urge to tell him what was already going on but knew that she couldn't. she didn't want to ruin the surprise," are we doing one nursery? or is it going to be two rooms?" she realized they had to rethink everything," plus i figured they'd stay in our room, for a while."

What did a man wear to a festival at the level that Coachella was at when It came to fashion, and music? Thankfully Glen managed to get his stylist to put together three day's worth of fits that would leave others looking In awe. If there was something that Glen wanted at all occasions was making sure that he looked good. Maybe that was his way of keeping his confidence at an all time high, but he didn't care. Another thing that Glen wanted to make sure of was that he sort of matched with Sydney, even if it was just color coordinating. Light grey cargo shorts, black and white adidas, and a white t-shirt with a baseball cap on he was making his rounds of saying hi to those that he knew and those that he didn't. The male actor thrived off of socializing with anyone and everyone, so this environment was top tier for him.
Sydney had mentioned to him that she wanted to part ways so she could hang out with others, which was understandable and he didn't want her feeling like she had to stay with him the entire time. Thankfully for that though, she wasn't around when he bumped into Gigi. That encounter was already awkward as It was, and he knew that if they both saw one another face to face It wouldn't end in the best of terms. If they eventually bumped into one another though? That was the question of the weekend, but he wasn't worrying about that, at least not much. All he wanted to worry about was mingling and having a great time with any alcohol beverage he could get his hands on. It wasn't every day that he was off and able to really drink down shots and what not, and not have to worry about an early wake up call.
Following the blonde's instructions of meeting at the ferris wheel, Glen walked towards it with his beer In stow while bobbing his head to the beat of the music that was filling the air. Before he knew it, he was being loved rushed on by the blonde which he couldn't complain about at all. Even if they only had split for a few hours, he had missed her and now that they were together? All was right in Glen's world again. "Hell yeah, sweetheart. Let's do this thing." He said out loud, as he placed a quick peak on her lips. He was already feeling the liquid courage, "Just a kiss at that top of it? Not throughout the whole ride?" He questioned with a brow raised, of course, he was teasing, but he couldn't resist.
there was something magical about coachella. it wasn't her first time attending but everything felt different. she wanted to enjoy herself even with the busy schedule that was looming for her. it was her first time seeing glen since he had been doing promo for smash kitchen. that was why she was determined to just make the best of the festival. even if they were in the middle of the desert and it was practically packed to the gills. the blonde knew that she could seek refuge in one of the VIP areas but she was content to just mingle with the crowds. plus she knew that if she went to one of those she might run into some people that she wasn't sure she wanted to see. her hands reached up to adjust the straps of the cropped green butterfly sequin top. some might have said the fit was dangerous but she intended on showing off her curves. plus she knew how hot it could get and she was all about staying cool. she had done her best to avoid just hanging out with glen. more than one person had suggested that they were attached at the hip. she knew that it was true but it was because they had spent so long being apart. they wanted to make the most of their time together. she had checked out a few areas, taken a few photos with some fans who had asked very politely. there was a thought looming in the back of her head the whole time. she knew that she was in trouble but she wanted to avoid thinking about it for as long as she could. instead she shot glen a text and was utterly relieved when he told her that he'd meet her at the ferris wheel. was it cliche? possibly but the blonde didn't care. she was all smiles when she spotted him. she didn't think twice about launching herself at him and practically throwing herself into his arms. her arms around his neck and her legs locked around his middle. was it insane to do in such a public space? she knew it was but she didn't want to hide their relationship after she had been in an intensely private one," ready to go on with me? and give me a kiss when we reach the very top?" she could feel eyes on them but that didn't deter her, pressing a kiss to the tip of his nose. @glenpcwcll

"I know you don't like talking about him and all the difficulties that are shared there, so I won't press about it anymore or bring it up unless you want to talk about it." Glen knew that this could be a sensitive subject, and he wanted her to know that he would respect whatever she wanted. If distracting her from that was all she wanted then he would do just that. There was a lot of things that he would do for her, and he just hoped that she was aware of that. He loved her more than anything else in this world, and now that they had their twins life had gotten so much brighter for him. A family was something he hoped for in his future, it was a dream of his. Being able to have what his parents had but with the love of his life — little did he know that Sydney was going to be that person for him. All he had hoped for now, was that she would eventually come around to the thought of marriage.
Glancing down at the dogs that were all laying close by, and then back up at Sydney he shook his head slightly and laughed. "I think he really missed you then. Probably was so concerned that you didn't come home last night." Grabbing an edamame he began to eat it as she brought up how protected their babies were going to be with their dogs being around. "They don't know it yet but once they get older and their best friends are these dogs, they'll know." It was sort of bittersweet thinking about how their dogs would make these kids their entire world, and once they both got old enough they'd love them just as much if not even more. "Believe me, I can't believe it either. It all seems like a dream and I'm scared that I'm going to wake up." Grabbing his napkin, he cleaned his fingers and walked over to Sydney, cupping her chin he leaned in to place a gentle kiss on her lips. "I love you...so much."
sydney hoped that she would be able to stick with slowing down. she wanted to focus on their home and their family. that was easier said than done with how demanding her schedule could be. it wasn't ever a problem before but now everything was different. she knew her relationship with glen was different because he understood the demands of her work. she nodded since she knew that he was making a good point," it won't be easy but know that we will enjoy our time together and figure out everything." it was going to be a delicate balance and sydney knew it. she hoped that they would be able to figure it out. she knew that her family was the complete opposite of glen's. that was probably why she loved his family as much as she did. the situation with her dad was complicated and had been for years. he didn't agree with her career choice, who she dated and now that she was a mother at her age. she wanted to make sure that their twins had the kind of family that glen did. she wanted to make sure that they were loved and had everything they could want," he can't and it's not something you have to apologize for," she paused," i've accepted that my dad and i won't see eye to eye but maybe he'll come around." there were so many things that she hadn't been able to eat while pregnant. she wanted to enjoy the sushi and that was exactly what she was doing. she laughed a little and shrugged," it wasn't the best but i knew i'd be coming home to ours." she leaned back a bit as she took another bite," tank wouldn't leave my side, she laid by the tub when i showered earlier," she mentioned," glen and charlie don't realize how loved and protected they are." she glanced towards the baby monitor to check on the twins, seeing they were still asleep," i still can't believe that this is real, that the twins are home with us and we're home."

Glen tilted his head to the side as she said she would try — that was all he wanted. In their line of work it was hard to push things aside because everything was always on a set schedule and he understood that. He was glad that they were both in the same line of work though, because he knew that she would understand him not being to be there at all times and vice versa. "That's all I ask...for you to try. I know that it won't be easy, but we just gotta enjoy whatever time can get together and with our little ones." The tricky part now would be who would be where and how parenting would be go with that mix.
As she began talking about her mom and her dad, he didn't attempt to bud in or say anything that could possibly upset her or make things worse. He just listened intently as she explained things to him, and he couldn't him but wince at the fact that she didn't know if her father had responded to the photos of his grandbabies. Glen was aware that all families weren't the same, and some parents weren't so open to being apart of their kids lives or grandkids for that matter. With the kind of family he was raised, he was fortunate and there wasn't a day he didn't acknowledge that. The actor just hoped that he could provide a similar family setting for her and their two kids. "Mmm, well at least he can't say that he didn't get photos of them, right? I'm sorry that this is something we have to go through, sweetheart. If I could I'd make it all go away."
Using his chopstixs he also placed a roll into his mouth and nearly chuckled at the wave of happiness that rolled through Sydney as she began to eat. That was all he needed to see, see her happy and trying to make light of what was going on despite all things. "I can't even begin to imagine how uncomfortable that hospital bed was. Because our bed is quite literally like heaven in a mattress form." He said as he rose his hand towards his brow, and itched right above the brow with the back of his index finger knuckle. "I think they missed you too...and the way they're so curious about the twins is kind of amusing. But it's also adorable. Glen and Charlie are going to have some really protective older fur brothers."
sydney almost froze at the question that he asked. she knew exactly why he was asking that. she didn't love staying and never had. she allowed herself to take a deep breath," we're going to try to." that was the best she could do and she hoped that he understood that. though sydney knew that she needed to make the most of their time together. they were going to be able to spend time at their home with their newborns. she watched as he went to grab plates and she took the one he held out. her movement was slow but she went to set it in front of her," i think so too," she told him," i want to just enjoy being home and being a family." she knew that he was probably worried about talking about her family. her's was not at all like his and they both knew it. she was going to begin to place a few pieces onto her plate. though she again was taken for a loop when he brought up her dad. she wasn't too sure as she glanced over at him," my mom didn't mention him." her parents weren't together but she knew they still spoke. she wanted to call her dad but doubted that would go over well. she didn't want the upset when there was already a lot going on," i think my mom sent him the photos i sent her but i don't know if he responded." she doubted that she wanted to know. "it will," she said with a grin, hoping to change the subject. she laughed a little as she realized that he had practically gotten everything that she could want. the blonde was happily going to pop a piece of the rainbow roll into her mouth. she nearly did a happy dance but she knew that she needed to be careful," our first day home and yes, we got this," she paused," and i really did miss our bed and i missed our other babies." their three dogs who had taken to standing guard with the twins already.

Glen leaned back a little in his chair, letting her words hang in the air between them. "Far more flexible, huh?" he repeated, brows raised like he was genuinely trying to process the implications. “Well, I guess that settles it. I’m officially outmatched.” His grin widened as he leaned forward again, elbows on the table, eyes still locked on hers. “Dangerous because now you have the upper hand. At least when it comes to sex and trying different positions.” There was light in his eyes, even as he teased. Because yeah, they were having this sweet, playful moment — but under all that, he could see it in the way she paused before talking about Texas, how her voice dipped just a little when she mentioned needing support. So he softened, just slightly, letting the humor land but not linger too long.
"Two showers makes sense,” he said after a moment. “I know it's a lot, but we’ll make it easy. I’ll talk to my mom, make sure she doesn’t turn it into a full-on county fair.” He reached across the table then, brushing his fingers against hers. “And if your mom wants to team up with her, well... that’s either a dream team or a storm brewing. Could go either way.” Then, quieter, “Thanks for saying yes to Texas. I know that’s not small.” He tilted his head, watching her. "When I get a moment to go back home, I'll make sure that get a room started for their nursery and make sure we have all the essentials we'll need before and after their arrival."
sydney knew that the conversations that they were having were not typical. at least typical for couples who were so new. things were different but it wasn't a bad thing. she was happy to know that she managed to surprise him. even if it was with the mention of yoga and she nodded at his question. an amused look in her eyes as she took another bite and quickly swallowed," mhm," she teased," far more flexible." her tone was teasing and she laughed at his words," dangerous territory?" it was clear that they wanted to have a fun night even if she had been struggling. her head tilted as she set her fork down," how is it dangerous, babe?" mostly she wanted to see what he was going to say. she nodded slowly since the idea of a community center baby shower sounded like a lot. it felt like way too much, if you asked her. she cleared her throat a bit," we might..need to do two baby showers," she said after a second," with your family and just...my friends in la? my mom will probably reach out to yours." she knew that there were so many changes coming. so many things that they needed to figure out. her hand reached out for her water to take a few sips from it," um," she paused," i think that us staying there would be a good idea, being close to your family in case we need that extra support." she hadn't told him how she had already asked his dad to help with work on glen's home in texas. she had done it to include him but also to make sure that glen didn't have too much to worry about.

"Good, we're going to take it easy the next couple of days, right?" He questioned with a brow quickly quirking up as he looked over at her. Glen knew that this was going to be a big adjustment for the both of them, but definitely for Sydney. He knew that she loved being busy and this was going to force her to really just slow down. He was thankful for this time that they were able to have together and with the babies, and the rest of their family. Glen went to the cabinets and grabbed two plates for them, and handed her one as she started conversation about her family. "I think them coming to visit would be good. We'll enjoy the next couple of days together and then we can start taking visitors next week."
Glen didn't want to push too much about her family, he knew that it was a slightly sensitive topic since the talk they had with her dad didn't go as planned. Since she had brought it up first, he took that as a good moment to bring up her dad, and see if there was any new movement there. "And your dad? Is he..." he let his words trailed off, still treading lightly with how he brought it up, "...he coming too or just your mom and brother?" Glen really wished that her dad would set his differences aside and at least give them a chance, and his grandbabies, as well. It pained him knowing how harsh he was being with Sydney.
"I have a feeling this is going to hit the spot." He said with a half smile, as he began to place pieces of the rolls he had brought back. "I also brought edamames, if you want some of that." Glen began opening that container and placed a few on his own plate as well. "Our first official day back home, and with our babies...I think we got this, babe." He mused as he kept it positive.
sydney had been so relieved when she realized that she was going to be able to go home right away. of course, the doctor had stressed that she needed to take it easy. especially after delivering multiples. part of her was feeling worried that they were going home with their babies because they were first time parents. it did help that glen's mom had already promised to stop by as much as she could. it was nice to actually be in their home and in her own bed. the babies ewre finally asleep and that felt like an amazing achievement. she had been surprised when she realized that glen had actually gotten sushi. she didn't think that he'd remember her saying that was what she wanted. especially with all the crazy of them coming home and everything. all she could do was smile as he began to open up the containers. the blonde noticed how many different types he had gotten," i'm doing okay," she told him," i'm sore but also starving." she knew that she was going to be leaning on him quite a bit. he had told her it was fine but she was a bit worried about it. she reached to brush her hair away from her face," and my mom called, she and my brother are talking about coming to visit next week?" she wasn't too sure if she was ready for that but she wanted her family to be included," i told her i wanted to check with you since i feel like our door might become a revolving one." she did want them to have time alone with their little ones. that was also part of why she had decided to delay her mother. she took a deep breath as she reached for her glass of water," all of this looks so good."

Glen watched her as she talked, fork halfway to his mouth, momentarily forgotten. It still hit him sometimes—how different things were now. Not in a bad way. Just… different. There was this quiet gravity to everything she said lately, even the stuff she joked about. But he liked seeing her like this. Settled, kind of. Or at least getting there. "Yoga, huh?" he finally said, setting his fork down with a grin. "So what you’re saying is, by the time the baby comes, you're going to be more flexible than me?" He gave her a playful side-eye, raising an eyebrow. “Dangerous territory, Syd.” All Glen wanted for tonight was to keep things light and playful that way she didn't feel so overwhelmed with all that they were going through.
"I know the talk of a community center for the baby shower does sound like a lot. I was telling her that we could just do it at the house and invite just close friends and family. We don't need to invite everyone she knows." Glen did finding it endearing that his mom wanted to be included with this pregnancy, and he didn't trust anyone like he trusted his parents, so he knew they would be in good hands. "Finding a doctor in Texas and getting things settled there can definitely be arranged, babe. Was gonna ask you —" Glen began, as he grabbed his beer and brought the close to his lips, keeping his gaze on her, "are we going to want to spend a few months in Texas after you have the babies? That way I can get a nursery going and get everything we need for their arrival?"
"she did?" asked sydney, realizing that she probably shouldn't have been surprised. his family was so close and she was still getting used to it. the powell family was very different compared to her own. a small laugh came from her when she realized that his mom had gone more into detail with him," the community center? i don't know about all that." she knew that glen was doing his best to make sure that she was comfortable. especially since it had been one surprise, after another, it felt like. she let herself take a few seconds to think," i feel like we need a game plan," she admitted," but i know that it's early still and i agree, we should know the gender." she wasn't too sure what she wanted or if she actually cared. all that she did care about was if they were both healthy. their waitress was returning with their food. sydney shot her a smile in thanks as they were set down. she took another few sips of her water before picking up her fork. her stomach grumbled as she went to take the first bite," worth the heartburn or whatever else comes." she knew that even a few months ago they wouldn't be talking about the things that they were. they'd be talking about work, maybe their friends and instead it was mostly her and the pregnancy. a laugh came from her after she took another few bites," i really hope that's true," she teased," i actually was looking into some classes to take, i found out they actually have a yoga class for pregnant women and i was thinking of signing up." she glanced over at him," i'm going to still be in la for a while but maybe i'll find a doctor and everything down in texas?"

Glen couldn't peel his eyes away from his parents and how over joyed they were to be holding their newest grandbabies. His dad making a comment about how he felt honored that they were so willing to pass along their name, and Glen gave him a slight nod accompanied with a warm smile. Deep down he knew how important it was to pass on their name, and he was just grateful that Sydney had agreed to it. As he sat down beside her on the bed, he made sure not squish her too much, his hand in hers he laced their fingers together. "God, I know. I just want us...the four of us in our bed watching something super lame on the tv while they sleep in our arms." An image that he had thought about more than once since finding out she was pregnant. "Sushi you say? I think we can get that on the way home once we leave this joint." Glen said as he looked over at Sydney, giving her a playful wink.
After a full 24 hours in the hospital after Sydney gave birth, they were finally back home. Now it was just the four of them, and of course, his mom would be coming and going throughout the week because she simply couldn't get enough of her grandkids. Both babies were finally out, and it finally gave him and Sydney some much needed alone time. As promised he had brought home some take-out sushi, because he kept that in the back of his mind until he had it for her. As he began to open up the containers that the food was packed in, he looked over at Sydney, "how are you feeling mama?"
sydney had never allowed herself to picture a family. she had been focused on her career ever since it had gotten going. dating hadn't even been that important. glen had come into her life and changed it all for her. he had given her something that she never saw for herself. she wished that her own parents would be there and be supportive. her mother had come around a bit but her dad was another story. she knew that she had glen's family and they had shown her more support than she could have imagined. it didn't take long for them to return. she smiled as she saw the looks on his parents faces. it was impossible to miss how glen had tears streaming down that he wiped away," and they are so happy to meet you and be here." she carefully sat up a bit to hand them both over. her heart warmed at the sight of them, seeing how thrilled they were. she glanced towards glen who had come beside her. she nodded at what he whispered," they are." her hand reached to take his again and she gently tugged him down onto the bed with her," i can't wait for all of us to be home and just enjoy being a family." she knew that she finally had everything that she never thought that she would be able to have," and i also can't wait to eat some sushi." her tone was playful as she looked towards him.

Glen reached for his drink, the cold glass sweating slightly in his hand. He took a slow sip, watching her over the rim. The question hung there, soft but serious, like so many of the ones they’d been asking lately — ones with no clear right answer, just whatever felt right. “Yeah…” he said finally, setting the glass down. “She mentioned it to me, too.” He ran a hand through his hair, fingers dragging at the back of his neck — a gesture he’d never quite broken, even when things were good. It was his way of thinking, of buying time. “I think she’s just excited,” he added. “Over the moon, actually. She’s already talking about diaper cakes and themed cupcakes and something about renting out the community center.” He smirked a little, but his eyes were still on Sydney. “I told her we’d talk about it. That it’d be your call.” Glen leaned forward, resting his elbows lightly on the table, his tone softening again. “But if I’m being honest? You don’t have to know right now. About the shower. Or the gender. Or anything else. We’ve got time. You don’t need a game plan to be doing this right.” His gaze dropped briefly to her hand, resting over her stomach, then back to her face. "However, I think finding out the gender would be fun. Then we can prepare properly."
He leaned back as the waitress approached again, balancing their plates with practiced ease. She set them down, offered a brief smile, and disappeared with the same quiet grace. Glen looked down at the fried pickles, nudging the plate toward Sydney. “Alright,” he said, nudging her foot gently under the table. “Moment of truth. These better be good enough to justify the heartburn.” Glen couldn't help but let out a soft chuckle. The way their conversations and just days in general changed over night, and they were constantly talking baby stuff and pregnancy side affects amazed him. It was a change that he didn't mind at all and welcomed with arms wide open. "By the way, I think you being called a MILF is such facts...like you're going to be one hot momma." He spoke as he gave her a playful wink.
sydney found herself smiling at the sound of glen's laugh. she knew that they both were under some stress. that was why she had tried to change the subject. a small laugh came from her and she nodded," those were her exact words." she knew that she wanted to focus on the positive. it was a relief that her friends were supportive because even if she had glen, she knew that she couldn't rely on him solely. she nodded in agreement, squeezing his hand slightly," i really hope that's true because i know it's going to be an adjustment for me, all the changes that are coming." she was relieved when the waitress came over. she didn't seem to even bat an eye when she looked at them. instead glen was placing their order and she almost longed to order a glass of wine. instead she ordered a bottle of water and soon they were alone again. she mirrored glen's position, leaning back. her hands went to her lap and she noticed how he seemed to be looking at her. she wasn't sure what he was thinking until he spoke. a small laugh came from her," i didn't ever picture this for myself and i never thought that we'd be here, where we are but i'm happy." her hand went to her stomach when she noticed how his gaze flickered to it," i wouldn't trade anything for it either." playfully she nudged him as she allowed herself to take a deep breath," i was wondering, do we want to find out the genders? or do we want to be surprised?" there was a lot to consider and sydney was just hoping she could handle it. the waitress reappeared with their drinks and she reached for the water. after she took a few small sips, she shifted a bit," your mom brought up having a baby shower when we were there and i told her i wasn't sure."

Before walking back into the room where he had left Sydney and his two babies, he looked at both of his parents with tears building in his eyes, "they're the most precious things I have in this world now, mom and dad. All those things you said about parenthood is all true, and I can't believe I ever doubt your words." It was a special moment shared between the three of them. Truth be told, he didn't think he'd be having this heart to heart with them, no this soon in his life, anyway. He had been so focused on his career and making sure that it finally took off at that marriage and kids just never really crossed his mind — it wasn't until he had gotten serious with Sydney then everything just took off on its own, and life had its plans set out for the two of them. Walking in right behind his parents, he looked at them both and then over at Glen and Charlotte all while wiping away the few tears that had managed to roll down his face. "Mom, dad...meet Glen the third and Charlotte Powell, your grandbabies." His voice shaky as he began speaking out loud, still feeling incredibly surreal but he was takingi t all in because he didn't want to forget this very moment. The first meeting of grandparents and grandbabies was one of the sweetest moments he had witnessed, and this time it was because of his very own and not because his sister. His mom absolutely over the moon as she took her granddaughter into her arms and his dad taking his grandson into his. "I think they're absolutely in love with them." Glen said gently to Sydney, as he kept his eyes on the four of them who were completely in a bubble full of pure bliss.
it felt like everything that had happened in the past had been building up to it. she never thought when she had signed on for anything but you that it would change her life. glen was different for her and now he had changed her life in a way she hadn't seen coming. she nodded, smiling at his words," i know, i won't forget it and i hope you don't forget it either." she knew that their was nothing that could compare to what they provided for each other. glen had given her so much and he had now given her a family. she smiled, laughing a little at his words," you make a good point, we wouldn't be here, they wouldn't be here." now that she had them, she couldn't imagine a life without them. even if they had only been born that very day, she knew that life was going to be so amazing. she knew that they were basically in their own bubble. it was something that they were going to relish in. she couldn't remember if either of them had smiled so much," you thought that? i think we both probably thought that about a lot of things we heard and will be proven wrong." she reached to run her hands along the twin's backs. she felt one of them shift and she smiled," i can't believe you two are finally here." she laughed a little as he seemed to snap out of it at the mention of his parents," exactly so off you go." she knew that his parents were probably just pacing in the waiting room. she nodded as she shifted to sit up a bit. she called for a nurse because she didn't think she wanted her in laws to basically see that much of her. though she nearly pouted at the idea of letting them go. they were being placed back in her arms once her gown was set up. glen scrunched up his face and seemed to squawk for a moment before settling right back down," your daddy will be back," she promised," he just went to get your grandparents."

Glen laughed, a quiet, surprised kind of laugh that slipped out before he could filter it. “A MILF, huh?” He raised his brows, leaning in like it was some scandalous secret. Her hand was warm in his. He didn’t let go. The mention of her dad settled between them, soft but heavy. He didn’t flinch at it, didn’t brush it away. He just nodded slowly, his thumb brushing over her knuckles in a way that said I know without pushing for more. “I’m glad you told them,” he said after a beat. “Alexa and Renee.” His voice softened. “You need people around you who make you feel good. Who make you laugh, and tell you you’re going to be a MILF whether you're wearing sweats or all dolled up." He didn’t bring up her dad again, not directly — not here, not now — but he filed it away like he always did. Tucked it in next to the other moments she gave him, the ones that weren’t shiny or easy, but real. He’d be there when she wanted to talk more, and she knew it.
The waitress came by, young and tired-looking but polite, and they ordered. He placed two orders of bangers and mash, along with a a beer for himself and he waited for Sydney to tell the waitress what she wanted to drink. When she walked away, Glen leaned back into the booth, letting out a breath he hadn’t realized he’d been holding. He looked at her, really looked. “You know…if someone had told me five years ago I’d be sitting here with you, planning for midnight cravings and talking about future kids and MILF status…I’d have laughed.” His smile softened. “But right now? I wouldn’t trade a damn second of this.” He paused, gaze dipping to her still-flat stomach for just a second, then back up to her face. “Even the peanut butter pretzels.”
the atmosphere was different from most places that she frequented. it was a welcome change because it felt warm and cozy. it wasn't overly crowded and the few patrons that were there didn't even look up. no one was trying to pull out their phones or whispering to one another. the booth that they chose was in the back and gave them plenty of room. she slid in after he did, not even thinking about it. they seemed to have realized what the other did, naturally. it was what happened when you knew someone for a long amount of time. even before they had become a couple, she had picked up on the little things with. him. she had noticed how he seemed to also notice things about her that not everyone did. her hand reached to tug the cardigan back up over her shoulder. it was oversized which she had taken to wearing many things bigger. even if she knew that she hadn't started to show. she reached for a menu and laughed a little," loser buys dessert? good thing i wouldn't mind paying for it." her tone was teasing as she looked over all the items listed," over peanut butter pretzels?" things with glen were always different compared to others. there was a sense of peace that always hit her with him. she knew that they both were dealing with a lot but they were creating a family. it was something that she hadn't pictured for herself. she set the menu down when he did and her head tilted. her hand reached for his and she couldn't help but laugh. it was clear that he was excited and wanted to let people know. she squeezed his hand in hopes of showing him that it was okay," we did say that but i get it, it's a big thing and i did tell alexa and renee." it seemed they both had broken that promise," they both are excited for us and i needed that after...what happened with my dad." she almost regretted bringing it up but she knew they couldn't pretend it hadn't happened," and renee mentioned that i'm going to be a milf."

Hearing Sydney say that there would always be love there no matter what made him feel a sense of relief that he couldn't really put into words. He knew that it was true, and it was something he was already aware of before she mentioned it, but hearing it coming directly from her? It sort of solidified it. "Always nothing but love for you. I hope you don't forget that, sweetheart." Glen bit down on his lower lip, as he carefully watched as his daughter and son both nuzzled against her. A perfect creation between the two, and he was so damn proud of it. "Kinda of glad that we don't typically have self control around one another, because if we did then we wouldn't be here right now. With these two." At first when they found out the news about her being pregnant it was all a big surprise and it was merely because of how quickly things were going to change for them both, but as time went on? Glen was thankful for it. For her. As Glen took a hold of her hand and she instantly linked their fingers together, he gave her a glance with a smile. A smile that was permanently there because nothing could wipe that away from him, not now. "It really does. I always thought that parents lied about how a name could perfectly suit a baby, but it all makes sense now. Weird how that works, huh?" Brows cinched together, as he shook his head lightly. Everything in Glen was itching to hold one of them in his own arms, but he didn't want to ruin the precious moment she was having with them both — instead he stood there in awe, nodding as she said they were both their little miracles because she was right, they were. It wasn't until she mentioned his parents that caused him to snap back into consciousnesses to form words again. "You're right, damn. I was in this little bubble and almost forgot about them. I'll go get them, I know they've been dying to meet them." Letting go of her hand, he leaned down to place a kiss on the top of her hair and he walked out into the waiting room, and gathered his parents to bring them back.
it was something that no one could get you ready for. sydney had realized that the moment the contractions had started up. she knew that she had yelled, cried and cursed at him quite a bit. though she hadn't been able to stop herself and she hadn't been in a rational frame of mind," we really did get through it together and we both know there's always love there, no matter what is going on." she was happy to hear him laugh, nodding," lack of self control really was our weakness with one another." she still had the sneaking suspicion that she had gotten pregnant at his sister's wedding. she wasn't entirely sure but she knew it didn't matter. she almost couldn't wrap her mind around the fact that a matter of hours ago, the twins were still inside of her. now they were curled up against her chest and seemed to be sound asleep. she knew that their focus was going to be on their son and daughter. everything in their life was going to be different. she shook her head, doing her best to not move too much," i think glen the third is perfect and it does?" she had been worried they'd be stuck without a name for their little girl. so many people had given them their ideas and their thoughts on names. she nodded, smiling as she glanced down at them again. her hand reached for one of his slowly," we did," she agreed," our little miracles." her fingers linked with his as she squeezed his hand gently," are your parents still here? shouldn't it be time for them to meet their grand babies?"

The door creaked open with that familiar sound - wood and iron and time, and the scent hit him first; something fried, something charred just right, and a whisper of beer and old wood polish. Glen let her tug him inside, the cozy warmth immediately washing over them after the cool night air. He glanced around. The place was quiet, just as it had looked from outside. A couple in a corner booth, two guys nursing beers at the bar, the bartender cleaning a glass like he was born to do it. No flashing cameras, no hushed whispers or subtle glances in their direction. Just space to breathe. They slipped into a booth along the back wall, one of those half-moon leather ones that squeaked when you moved too fast. He slid in first, letting her take the inside seat - not out of habit, but out of that quiet instinct that had formed over time. Small things. Like how she liked to lean against the wall when she was tired. How he liked to keep watch without even thinking about it.
He watched her for a second before picking up the sticky, laminated menu. She looked relaxed, flushed slightly from the walk, her hair a little messy in the way he loved, the kind of messy you only got when you were with someone long enough to stop pretending all the time. “Alright,” he said, quirking a brow at her over the top of the menu. “Greasiest, most comforting thing on here wins. Loser buys dessert.” He paused. “Unless it’s peanut butter pretzels. Then we riot.” He grinned, leaning back a bit. There was a low hum of conversation in the background, but she was the only thing in focus. The little weight of what they were building, what was coming - sat on the table between them, invisible but solid. Like a shared secret, even now. He set the menu down, his voice a little quieter when he spoke again. "I did tell him about it. I know we said we weren't going to be telling a lot of people right now, but I had to tell someone that wasn't just my family and Miles. I also kind of told Taylor about it." Glen said as he looked at the blonde, almost a bit embarrassed at how many people he had told already.
her face flushed at his question and she shrugged," mhm." a laugh came from her at the mention of the peanut butter pretzels," i ran out of ice cream and that was the next best thing." conversations with glen always felt so effortless, easy. there was always a sense of peace whenever they were together. it helped that it didn't seem like there were many people out and about. it made it less stressful for them. she did want to hear about his day because it felt like lately all their conversations were about her. she nodded, listening as he told her everything," you sorta told him? well, tell him that i say thank you." she knew that they had agreed to not go around telling everyone. though now that her family and his knew, it meant they could be more open with the news. they didn't need to make pointless small talk as they walked. they were comfortable with one another and silence. it gave her a chance to look around at everything as they passed by. they were turning a corner and she realized that there was a pub a few feet away. it didn't seem packed and it looked cozy. the blonde glanced up and she couldn't help but smile at his words," i know that you are worried but i am promise that i am up for it." she squeezed his hand gently in hopes of reassuring him," besides, i should eat and an increased appetite is normal at this point." she leaned up to press a kiss to the corner of his mouth before she was going to tug him into the pub," besides this is one of the few chances we are going to have to go out to eat without being photographed."

The evening air was cool, the kind that woke you up just enough to feel present in your own skin. Glen adjusted his pace to match hers without thinking about it, his hand steady in hers. The weight of it - her fingers laced with his, was something he never got tired of. There was comfort in that connection, but something more, too. A quiet pride. A growing sense of responsibility that didn’t scare him the way he thought it might. “Two in the morning, huh?” he said, glancing sideways at her with a small smile. “That explains the mysterious disappearance of the last of the peanut butter pretzels.” He said with a chuckle. When she asked him about his day, he looked forward ahead of them, "It was chaotic but it was good. I got to see Samuel today and work with him. I sorta told him about us and our babies...he says congrats, by the way. And that he's thrilled for us." Glen wasn't going around just telling anyone just yet about their new life changing event, but there were few people he did trust and Samuel just so happened to be one of those.
There was a long pause, comfortable and quiet, filled only by the sound of their footsteps and the low hum of distant traffic. He didn’t need to talk constantly. Being there, walking beside her like this, felt like enough. They turned the corner toward the pub, the warm glow of the sign flickering to life as dusk settled deeper. It wasn’t crowded; just a few people inside, low voices, cozy light spilling through the windows. Glen looked down at her, that familiar flicker of protectiveness rising again. “We can still head back if you’re not feeling up for it,” he said gently. “Or we go in, get the greasiest, most comforting food we can find, and I watch you devour it like it’s your last meal.”
sydney knew that she was lucky to have glen. especially since he was so present and so supportive. she knew that he wanted to help her in whatever way he could. her smile grew as his hand went to her lower back," i know you want to." it was easier said than done considering her symptoms were consistent. she shrugged, pretending to think about it," back rubs and heating pads sound great." a small laugh fell from her at his obvious joke," i'll be okay." she was surprised at how she didn't mind being called momma. it was not expected but she had started to embrace everything," it does feel right." she had quickly changed and was back in front of him in seconds," thank you." it was a surprise to her sometimes how he seemed to naturally compliment her. she knew that it wasn't just something that he felt like he needed to say. her head tilted as he thought about where they could go," that sounds great." she was just hoping that they'd have a peaceful meal. a laugh came from her as she stepped out," you'd be correct," she told him," and that's why i've been in the kitchen some nights at two in the morning, not the best thing but the cravings are real." her hand reached for his once he had locked the door," how about we walk? i could use some air." she knew they could drive but she had been laying down for hours," and you can tell me how today went."

With a simple nod Glen knew that when she yelled at him it was for good reasoning and not because she absolutely hated his guts. Although, he knew that there were times that he could make her mad and he always felt guilty about that. In this circumstance though? He knew that it was just waves of emotions taking over, and he couldn't exactly relate to what she was feeling. "This is just another thing to go in the books for us...birth of twins and we managed to get through it together. Even when you're screaming at me, I'll remember that there's nothing but love there. I hope you remember that I also love you, even if I roll my eyes at you or just stand there expressionless." Glen let out a soft laugh at her comment of them having equal blame for this, she was correct, "you're right we do share equal blame for this."
Keeping his eyes on both their babies, he found it hard to look away from them. It felt like if he did look away even for a brief moment he was going to miss something important. It was insane how quickly his thought process changed. Prior to their arrival all he could think about was making sure everything was perfect for them back home, and ensuring that Sydney felt comfortable and now his whole concern were them and of course Sydney. Glancing up at the blonde as she mentioned the names, he smiled softly at her, "just wanted to make sure you didn't think of something better for him, but yeah...Glen the third is perfect. As for Charlie...that suits her, oddly enough." Hazel hues glanced back down to their daughter — he never thought that a name could fit a baby so well, he of course, heard of that from others and even from his own sisters, but now that he was in the shoes of a father it all just made sense now. "Glen the third and Charlotte Powell..." he hummed softly to himself. His heart filled to the brim with happiness, "we really made the most perfect little humans, huh?"
sydney knew that she had gone through an grueling ordeal but she couldn't stop smiling. especially as glen spoke about his admiration for her and she nodded," i made it through and i couldn't have done it without you." she had known that she was strong but she didn't realize how strong until delivering two living breathing human beings. she had asked glen's mother a bit for advice but nothing could have prepared for it fully. a small laugh came from her and she shrugged," even when i'm yelling just know i love you," she told him," i thought we shared equal blame for this." she knew that their circumstances weren't ideal as far as timing. they had made the best out of their situation and now they had a family. there had been a time that she wasn't sure if it would happen or not. since her main focus had always been her career but now she knew that everything was different. she had never experienced such strong emotions before. the twins seemed to have nestled against her. everything in that moment felt calm. she knew that skin to skin was good for bonding. there had been a lot of things that she had read about. reading about something was very different from experiencing it. she knew that their future was going to be filled with family. she waited patiently for him to stop recording and he was walking back over to her bedside. she found herself smiling as she looked down at the twins once again. they were going to be the center of her world and she knew it. her head rested back against the pillow," i thought we agreed on glen the third." she knew that they had struggled to come up with a name for their little girl. she had looked over so many lists but they still hadn't settled on one," i think...charlie? short for charlotte." she leaned down to press a kiss to their daughter's head," what do you think? do we like charlie?" she looked back up at glen," i thought about it last night but forgot to mention it."
