Phineas and Ferb Headcanons

After Perry retires, the first thing he does is tell the Flynn-Fletchers about his double life, same with Pinky. Ferb reveals that he's known since they were kids, or at least, he suspected.

Phineas and Isabella become a couple during their senior year, maybe even earlier.

On the very last day of summer before Phineas and Ferb go their separate ways, they build some big, extravagant thing in the backyard, Candace had long since given up busting the brothers, and doesn't bother calling their mother. Sh doesn't need to. Linda comes home and, for the first time, actually sees it. She's beyond shocked, and maybe a bit angry, but given the fact that both boys are moving off to college in a few hours, she can't exactly punish them. All Linda can do is enjoy the fun thing they created. (She's going to be having a long, long talk with them during Thanksgiving break though).

Phineas and Ferb don't just get full-ride scholarships to hundreds of different schools. Colleges actually offer to pay them to attend. During summer after graduation, several schools even start a bidding war, desperate to have the boys attend.

Phineas and Ferb don't really need to go to college, Phineas just goes to be with his girlfriend.

Monty and Vanessa end up together.

Ferb ends up with a fireside girl.

Even when Phineas and Ferb are middle-aged adults, delivery truck drivers ask them "Hey, aren't you a bit young to be ______?"

One day, Phineas comes home to find his children building something outlandish and asks them if they're too young to be building this. They respond with "Yes, yes we are." Every delivery guy present who knew Phineas from his childhood begins laughing hysterically for several minutes.

Love Händel preforms at all of their weddings.

Perry never marries. He enjoys the single life too much. A few dates here and there with some platypus chicks he meets from time to time, but nothing solid.

Hamster and Gretel, oh boy..

Now we are gonna move past the unforgivable and horrendous act of this series being greenlit and given a second season immediately over giving us more Murphy's Law which, unless this show proves it's worth, I will not be forgiving anytime soon, but anyway let's talk about the actual show itself.

It's honestly not that bad. The more I watch it the more I find myself enjoying Gretel and Kevin's relationship and of course Kevin is the TRUE protag of the story (no one will convince me otherwise, we all know it's true), his character is PEAK. I genuinely like the songs, hamster is amazing and Fred is a MOOD. I like the concept of an alien species giving someone powers and then also creating villains for them to fight as well. It's actually a pretty cool concept and makes you wonder what is more at play here. I also LOVE the songs, as usual Dan's shows produce hella bangers. I also love the relationships and dynamics between all the characters.

HOWEVER

I like that they made Kevin the center focus but I'm gonna be frank, I DO NOT like Gretel as a character (so far, this is obviously subject to change as the series goes on). First of all Gretel's face makes me hella uncomfortable everytime I take a second to look at her. Her smile doesn't have any emotional weight behind it so it loses all meaning (with her character in general being as bland as white bread with no crusts, but I do respect the accurate ADHD they added to her character) and on top of that her smile is so unnaturally wide and her eyes are so big and she sticks out like a sore thumb amongst her friends and family to the point it feels uncomfortable. I get they wanted to make her overly cute but that's less cute and more reaching into uncanny valley.

Milo's wholesome smile and character was optimistic and cute, so was Isabella's, even their pets. But Gretel? I'm sorry but it looks like she is staring into my ever waking soul and plotting my demise as we speak. I'm a younger sister myself and I understand where they were going with her character, believe me, but OH MY GOD can she GRIND MY GEARS sometimes with her character and choices.

They made such a good realistically optimistic and calm yet still remorseful and caring character when it came to Milo, they treated it all with care and gave his gentle smile towards his shitty situation so much weight but with Gretel they made her optimism intentionally over the top with no other parts of her character aside from her having ADHD and nothing else, along with the fact she normally succeeds in nearly everything she does, and rarely ever see her need or try to fix mistakes she'd made on her own, and all this makes it to the point that she just feels- soulless to me and I don't like it. It rubs me the wrong way. I love the ADHD representation but they could've done a hella a lot better with her character as a whole, especially with her being a character meant to represent and inspire others.

I stand by what I said that people need to stop treating optimistic characters in media as a bad thing and projecting their issues onto them, but it's a different story when you have a character who is completely hollow and only has an over the top amount of optimism to the point it becomes boring and diminishing because that's all they are. I'm sorry but her character, to me, is like the embodiment of a children's song that is so repetitive you wanna replace your ears with cotton balls.

This show has so much potential and I love so SO many things about it, but they still have A LOT of work to do, especially with one of the heroines of the story. Here's to hoping season 2 will, hopefully, be better than the first one and they'll patch some things up at bit.

And no, her being a little sister doesn't justfy her character as in both pnf and mml they main characters were younger siblings and they were not like this, at all.

Why do you think Disney’s version of John Smith gets a lot of hate these days even just with the exception of the controversy surrounding the historical inaccuracies and portrayals in the Pocahontas film?

This is a really good question and I really had to think about this one for a while because on paper there really is no reason to dislike John Smith other than for reasons outside of the world of the film. It's also really hard to separate the dislike for John Smith on principle and the legitimate criticisms of him as a character.

The one literary criticism I do see most often about John Smith as a character is that he's "boring." What do people mean by that? Because in my view, he really isn't boring at all: he's an adventurer, he's romantic, he gets tied up and tossed around. None of these things are boring, so what about him makes people feel...bored?

I think I've come across a possible answer: he functions the way most female leads in male-driven films do. Instead of being the one doing the saving, he exists to be saved. Instead of taking the lead in the relationship, he follows Pocahontas's. He's always needing to be taught something, even though he's fully competent in and of himself. Sound familiar?

His character is also rather understated: he's not loud in his characterization, belying his complexity. Most of the other princes have some "bold and brash" tendencies about them. Even Milo has a little, with his overt enthusiasm for his field of study. Smith's joie de vivre in the forest is an accompaniment to Pocahontas's curiosity and then instruction. What's appealing to Pocahontas about his character is something the audience mostly receives second-hand through her point of view. John Smith is Pocahontas's pretty little arm candy, and people don't Like It.

Why? Overall, these are typically things people like to demand: inversion of narrative gender roles, soft masculinity, romanticism, and the female gaze. I could go for the shallow reason that people just don't appreciate or trust blond men (which isn't even all that true), but I think it's deeper than that. I think John Smith fulfills that role so well that people actually resent it.

This is also where it's really hard to separate the hate for him on principle with the dislike of him as a character. I think if he were from any other narrative (or if the film were better understood to be an adaptation of a romantic fiction that's been around for over 300 years, rather than a biopic of some kind) people would be much more receptive.

(Real quick bit of salt on the criticism of historically accuracy: what's ironic about this particular criticism is that the film which won Best Picture the year Pocahontas came out was Braveheart: a film so infamously inaccurate that a battle which was known for involving a bridge Did Not Have That Bridge. And talk about real-world age gaps: Isabella of France was a toddler by the time the real William Wallace died, and yet no one bats an eye at that fictional movie romance, huh?

The point of Pocahontas's narrative was never to be historically accurate in-and-of itself, but the filmmakers actually did a LOT of research into making the setting as visually accurate as they could while maintaining the artistic style they wanted. And they actually did a really good job of that, imo)

!!! Many many updates on the challenger scene in Galar. Many thanks to Brandy (@paldean-ranger-brandy) for watching with me >:³

Okay so first off, last week the kiddos from postwick made it to Milo, smashed the competition, and carried on. Gloria's Scorbunny looked like it was having a Blast leading all those wooloo to their pens.

There's some kid in pink with The Worst Attitude I've ever seen, kids obviously got some issues. The internet tells me he was recommended by Rosie Posie himself, so I'm interested to see where that goes.

Monday, they got to Nessa, solved the puzzle beautifully, though Viktor got a bit distracted because his Sobble kept wanting to stop and play in the water. Which was adorable.

But! They all managed to defeat Nessa with very few hiccups. Raboot did struggle a bit, but Gloria managed to pick up a Charjabug on the way that finished the first two off fairly easily, then went for Raboot in the end to Max Knuckle the shit out of Nessa's drednaw.

I got a message from Sonia that our Beloved Chairman invited the kiddos out to dinner to "celebrate their victory" the day after, and pictures from the news show me he was wearing The Most Appalling outfit I have ever seen, even worse than the carpet he makes Leon wear all the time. Apparently they didn't even eat anything? Just sat in the restaurant while his assistant stared them down and he spoke at them for thirty minutes???

Anyway, capitalism aside, the kids got to Motostoke and took out Kabu with ease as well, and they're all doing fantastically. Hop did struggle with the fire types, seeing as his now Thwackey is weak to fire and his now Dubwool can't learn any moves that are super effective against it. Same with his Corvisquire (he got a rookidee somewhere around Turffield), its moves are completely neutral to the first two of Kabu's mons.

However! He managed to get it done and beat up Kabu with a shit ton of defense curls on Dubwool's part and three good max airstreams on Corvisquire's for that gigantimax Centiskorch.

Next gym for them is Stow-On-Side, where they'll either fight Bea or Alistair, depending on who they choose. I'm still dubious about letting two children run a gym, even if they only handle the battling side of things. I feel like that responsibility should fall on the adults?? Of the nation??? Is that an unpopular opinion? That we shouldn't let children have jobs for the government??? I feel like that might be an unpopular opinion but whatever. They should arrive in Stow-On-Side within the next week or two, since they have the wild area to traverse, and they'll probably want to catch some more team members between now and the next gym.

That girl with the rad outfit that looked familiar did great, too, her Pokémon are a force to be reckoned with.

There's not anyone worthy of being made fun of this year yet, but there is this old man who's competing because his granddaughter has a chronic illness that means she can't go on a proper journey without endangering herself, so he's going on a journey for her TvT he talks about her in all of his interviews and her dream is to be a professional battler. He acts as her body to go to the stadiums and she teaches him over the phone how to strategize and battle properly because he's never done it before. It's so sweet his name is Gareth his granddaughter's name is Isabella they share their Pokémon and I would die for them.

Ooooooh this is what makes the internet special. If you can find trustworthy people, youtubers make learning a little bit of everything so much easier and more fun*! I have some recommendations!

*While all of my recommended channels will be good, not all of them will be lighthearted. Some will deal with heavy topics, but all are educational and entertaining (or at least, they are to me).

Casual Geographic - nature and the animal kingdom, usually the more upsetting side. Very dry, sharp sense of humour.

Miniminuteman/Milo Rossi - archaeology and conspiracy theory debunking. Very savage, caustic humour, but very informative.

Lindsay Nikole - nature and animal kingdom, interested a lot in evolution and weird/bizarre/ugly creatures.

Oceanliner Designs/Mike Brady - predominantly discusses oceanliners (a specific class of passenger/cargo ship meant for overseas transit a la Titanic), but also talks a lot about shipwrecks, lost ships and ships in general. Also, he's Australian!

TierZoo - animal facts in the form of video game character stats and talks about the natural world like a MMORPG. Lots of fun and very wholesome.

H Bomberguy - what- what does he do? Everything? Nothing? All I know is he tells me stuff for hours at a time and is quite entertaining.

Ze Frank - nature and animal kingdom. Not for children, or adults who don't act like children. (Though he does have an alternate channel where he has the straight factual videos with the dirty jokes and innuendos left out.)

Legal Eagle - a US lawyer who weighs in on current legal cases and explains law in a down to earth, accessible way. He does talk about political trials/legal issues too, but you can ignore those if you'd prefer.

Adam Something - a Hungarian man who goes over infrastructure and mega projects and discusses if they're viable or stupid. If all life is to become crab, all transit is to become train.

Isabella Lanter - anti-MLM/scam girlie who is just very real and up front. She posts videos about scam products/offerings/opportunities and debunks MLM trainings/propaganda.

Kurzgesagt-In A Nutshell - very, very good and informative videos about a variety of scientific topics from space to animals to disease to physics.

Contrapoints - social justice discussed by a transwoman. She's very funny and witty, as well as open about her trans experiences. Deals with a lot of heavy topics with solid humour but not dismissive.

Casual Navigation - another ship channel, but discusses more how they work and why.

B. Dylan Hollis - teeeeechnically a Tiktoker, BUT he has a youtube channel with longer form content and his compilations are available on youtube so there. He does old timey cooking that turns out as bad as you think it will about half the time.

Bright Sun Films/Bright Sun Travels - videos about abandoned/bankrupt/dead companies and properties mostly in North America. On Travels, he gives honest, thorough reviews of places he's stayed at.

Caitlin Doughty (formerly Ask A Mortician) - cool videos about the funeral industry and dead bodies. Her video on the SS Eastland was fantastic.

Folding Ideas - kinda like H Bomb, but more centralized on film with off-the-rails, well informed videos about random shit from crypto to the Nostalgic Critic.

Lost In The Pond - cultural comparisons from a British man about living in Britain vs the US. Very cute and curious.

Practical Engineering - informational stuff mostly about civil engineering but discussing other stuff. He's such a dad; he makes little demonstration models sometimes.

Real Engineering - he talks more mechanical engineering, but still very good.

Todd In The Shadows - music critic who focuses more on modern pop music, but does retrospectives on failed albums and past music. His early videos rely on "angry" reviews, but his humour gets drier and better the closer to the present he is (though honestly they're all good).

Watercolor by Shibasaki - a little bit different, this is a channel hosted by an elderly Japanese man (english subtitles provided!) who paints and teaches how to paint in watercolours. Think Japanese Mr. Rogers meets Bob Ross.

And then there's a bunch of channels all hosted by the same British man named Simon, who's got a great speaking voice and is very informative.

Biographics - profiling famous and infamous people with an eye away from the scandalous and hyperbolic, focusing more on the historical.

Geographics - Biographics, but for places.

Warographics - has largely non-partisan and historcally oriented descriptions of battles and military units, but also has a current events show hosted weekly that discusses updates on modern battlefields and does not shy away from stories not widely covered (Ukraine, Palestine, Sudan, Haiti, Myanmar, etc.).

Casual Criminalist - true crime podcast where Simon cold-reads the script. The show does not focus on the gory details of killings and takes the deaths seriously, but Simon getting upset at the cops for taking so fucking long to fogure shit out is always funny.

Decoding the Unknown - cold-read podcast where he talks about mysteries and things that aren't common knowledge

MegaProjects - discusses megaprojects both planned and completed.

SideProjects - shorter form videos that discuss particular aspects of projects or briefer overviews of them.

Brain Blaze - another cold-read podcast, but just kinda about anything? A lot lighter, not really about anything that matters.

And finally, shoutout to Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. It's technically an HBO show, but 20-30 minute segments of the show are available on youtube and are both informative and deeply entertaining.

Camilo pushed his food around. He was leaning on his hand where you kissed his cheek. He was hungry but he was way too preoccupied, he replayed the scene in his head, a lovesick smile attached to his face, unintentionally stroking his thumb across his cheek. "Camilo, are you okay?" Felix asked, bumping his shoulder against his trying to get his attention. Camilo nodded, not paying too much attention, still poking his food.

"Are you sure honey?" Pepa asked reaching for her son's hand, a small cloud appearing above her head which Felix quickly shooed away. Camilo nodded lazily again, finally picking up some food to eat.

"It's the mystery one from the bakery, isn't it?" Dolores asked making Camilo jump up, in a blink and you'll miss it shift into you before settling again, his shoulders were tense and his eyes were wide.

"No, no, no, I um, just got distracted, sorry," Camilo spoke in a hurry, shoving the food in his mouth with a forced smile.

"Smooth," Isabella spoke with a teasing smile, blowing flowers in his face, causing Camilo to accidentally swallow a few.

"Why don't you invite them over 'Milo," Julietta suggested. "It would be nice to meet them."

"I um, I've only spoken to them a few times," Camilo said slightly bashfully, shoving more food in his mouth. Isabella held in a laugh, so did Mirabel and Felix. "I'm done," Camilo said pushing away his food and jogging upstairs.

"Oh come on Camilo, it's okay!" Pepa yelled trying to her son back to the table. "Look what you've done," Pepa said slapping Felix with a piece of bread.

You walked along the river, watching in awe as Luisa moved the bridge to a new spot. Luisa spotted you and did an overly comedic wave with a smile to match, and you lightly waved back confused, until you noticed Dolores at her side pointing at you. You rolled your eyes knowing Dolores had said something about you and Camilo, and the anxiety crept in wondering what she knew, and what Camilo had told them. "Hey," A voice sounded next to you making you jump lightly. You turned to see Mirabel a very large smile on her face. "You're mystery bakery right?"

"Excuse me?" You asked confused. "Mystery bakery?" Quickly you were saved by Camilo rushing over and stepping between the both of you.

"Hey Y/N, hey Mirabel," Camilo said in a hurry before he grabbed your arm and whisked you away. "I'll explain in a sec just keep walking please." You nodded at Camilo and you both rushed until you reached the back of Casita. You waved at one of the aqua windows which waved back with a creak. Camilo finally stopped pulling you along once you reached the top of the hill. "Uh sorry for pulling you away." Camilo rubbed the back of his neck in nervousness.

"It's okay 'Milo. Do you wanna let me know why though?" You asked with a laugh. Camilo sat down in the grass, patting the grass for you to sit next to him. You sat next to him taking his hand in yours, running your fingertip along the crevasses on his palm, in a way you hoped to calm him down.

"Dolores let slip that I was talking with someone, and now my Tia wants you over for dinner, Mama is sending rainbows and sun my way like no tomorrow, Mirabel and Isabella think we're dating, and Antonio thinks he's getting a new sister," Camilo said in a hurry not noticing he laced his fingers with yours in anxiety, squeezing them every so often. You brushed Camilo's hair behind his ear letting your hand rest on his shoulder, Camilo absent-mindedly leant into your touch.

"Do you want to be dating?" You asked studying his face, tangling your fingers in his curls.

"I mean, yeah, if you want to, but I wanna at least take you on a few dates, save what pride I have," Camilo said honestly with a chuckle.

You laughed pressing another kiss to his cheek, resting your cheek against his shoulder. "Alright, what do you want to do? Unless you have jobs to do?" You asked.

Camilo thought for a moment, looking down at your linked hands. "There's a bunch of Cherry blossoms on the east end of the river," Camilo noted, bumping his cheek against your head. "I can run inside and grab some food, and have a calm first date."

"Sounds perfect," You said with a smile and a light laugh. Camilo nodded and you bushed yourself off his shoulder, and with a surge of confidence, Camilo pressed a kiss to the tip of your nose, a hand resting on your cheek, before hopping up and running to Casita, who threw the back door open for him to rush through.

You stared over the sight of Encanto, pressing a hand to your cheek feeling it heat up. You smiled to yourself a small giggle leaving your lips, you were in love.

Ever since Carlos told you his false confession you've been silent. The town was worried for you.

You used to ray sunshine, Dance with people, Paint the walls with artworks, and more. For short, You were full of life.

Now you were mostly silent. You would only speak when spoken to.

Camilo noticed this and decided to confront you.

"Y/N?" He appeared from behind you, "What is it, Madrigal?" You asked with a slightly bitter tone. "Woah, " Madrigal"? You used to call me "'Milo" or "shapeshifter boy"

You didn't want to be mean to him, really, But his face is just similar to Carlos. They are twins after all.

You continued to walk but Camilo was following you and trying to have a conversation with you, Just like the good old times before you changed.

Days go by and Camilo followed you almost everywhere like a lost dog.

You know he just wanted to know that you're alright because unlike his twin he still cares. Speaking of his twin, Carlos still hasn't changed. He's still some jerk that gets into street fights.

You hated the thought of him. You hated everything about him.

Camilo whispered something to Felix that made him spit his water to Mariano's mother. Oh, dear.

Oh, come on. Even Senior Agustin looks nervous. He passed the cream to Mirabel and she passed it to Isabella.

Felix whispered to his wife and it made her form a storm in the room, "Pepa, Your cloud"

Carlos whispered, "We should get out of here", " Shut up."

Part 2!

The next day as Bella woke up going into the kitchen hoping to beat her family to breakfast and go to work early.

As she ate her food and left she quietly and quickly left the house. She thought things would be easy until "Morning Bella!" Said Camilo she groaned "Hi Milo."

"So where are you headed?" "To work. " "I'll join you. " "No..no there's no need." "Yes there is mama said I had to watch you to keep you safe if not she'll flood the village like she did when you where 16."

Bella left the house and never told anyone thus having Pepa flood the village 😑.

The teenage boy influenced her to sneak away that's when all hell broke loose and she never snuck out again.

"Ok ok you can come." "Great also Tia Julieta packed some of her healing meals ."

Disappointed that she couldn't use her beautiful long hair she spoke "I was actually going to use my hair milo. " He looked at her with a stern look "No don't ever use your hair on anyone else in the village..ever!"

"Ok ok jeez I'm just kidding Camilo! " She wasn't but she knew that was better then arguing with Camilo and the others.

"Ok good girl. " He pet her head as they went to work.

Lunch time

Bella walked to the stairs hoping not to see her family until Agustin saw her "Mija how was your day?" "Oh great papa." He looked at her hair as if he was examining it like he always does.

"I didn't use it papa." "She didn't use it tio." Said Camilo "Good must make sure that you are safe." He hugged her tight before walking into the kitchen.

"Antonio your shift! " Said Camilo as he went to shower as his brother walked down the stairs smiling "So..what do you want to do?"

"Nothing but rest." He shook his head as he took her to his room with his pet cheeta "Long day huh?" "Yup. " "Camilo watched you again huh?" "Yes and yes boy this family is a piece of work!" She said stuffing her face in a pillow.

"Yes I know tonio I know maybe that's the problem they love me too much."

"Lunch is ready guys!" Said mirabel

As everyone ate Bella wondered how would it be if she healed someone with her hair? Again like she use to? "Uh..we did well with the food today mama." "Oh great job mija and Camilo told me all about it I'm so proud of you! "

Oh how she wished she could be like other girls in the village..free.

Dolores saw She wasn't eating her favorite food. "Sis are you ok? You haven't touched your favorite food?" Everyone turned to see that she hasn't taken the first bite which worried them especially Julieta she got up to check her fevor.

"You did use your gift today you painted that beautiful picture on the wall near the river, a couple of houses-" "No Camilo I'm talking about my hair!"

She said frustrated everyone looked at her then at Mirabel "Bella you know what abuela said about using your hair-" she said calm but Bella as had enough

"No! No I don't know Mira why don't you tell me?!" "Bella-!" "No Julieta this is crazy!"

The cracks in the wall showed up as she walked up the stairs as Bruno was getting scared "No no no mija you..you must stay here!"

Holy crap, yes!!

Before the main events of Encanto, Antonio met and fell in love with Cecilia. Obviously, the two got married, and where eventually expecting.

Turned out, they where expecting twins. A boy they named Camilo, and a girl they named Mirabel. The babies already got nicknamed Milo and Mira😅

They even where color coded. Yellow for Camilo, and blue for Mirabel.

But tragedy struck when the small family had to flee their home and village...

Three horsemen eventually caught up with them, and Cecilia was the one that sacrificed herself to save her family...

Antonio was devastated, and the miracle and Encanto would be born.

He would raise his two children in the magical house that was Casita, in the closed off area near the mountains.

Camilo got shapeshifting as his gift, while Mirabel could see the future...

The twins would grow up in the magical house, eventually meeting their spouses who they formed their own families with.

Camilo met a nice lady, who he had four children with; Alma, the twins Julieta and Pepa, and the youngest of the family Dolores.

Mirabel met Mariano, and had three children; Luisa, Isabela, and Bruno.

Alma and Luisa would be both 21, Isabela 19, Julieta, Pepa and Bruno 15, and Dolores 5.

They would all have their canon gifts, and Alma would be a fire bender :)

Unfortunately, Bruno would be the one with no gift...

And to make it more tragic? Mirabel was the one that left the day of her son's ceremony after a particular vision to protect her son and the rest of her family...

It shocked the whole family even more, especially Mira's side of the family. Not only did Bruno not get a gift, but their wife and mother suddenly left as well...

Casita locked her room because of it, so everyone thought at first that Mira was there all the time, but that wasn't the case...

"We Don't Talk About Mira' would be a song...

It was a rather heavy decade for the Madrigal family, especially for Bruno, who had to sleep in the nursery because of his lack of a gift.

Luckily, he still had his favorite cousin, Dolores😊

And so, the events of the movie take place...

Domestic af Chris, who just wrapped up filming 2 weeks ago and got the well deserved rest, so now he wants spoil his wife and his children. He tells you to do nothing and enjoy the kids free afternoon. While the older kids are at school he takes his littlest one (3yr old) to go grocery shopping. Your son (Theodore) held onto Chris's hand as they both walked through the parking lot, to the store. Chris just got back from two weeks off working and instantly went into perfect hubby mood. He let you have a day off with Shanna and Carly, while he took care of the kids.

He took your two oldest to school earlier that day, while him and Theodore went to the grocery store to do a little shopping so he can make dinner later.

"Cart?" Theodore pointed to the shopping cart with his little fingers. Chris smiled, "yeah, we get a cart Buddy."

Chris walked over to the shopping cart, pulling one out. "Do you want to get in?" Chris asked looking down at Theo. He shook his head. Chris nodded, "okay."

He guided Theo through the store to get the things he needed. Theo was very helpful; he picked up all the things Chris needed, he was very happy to do that. It was adorable.

"daddy, we get fruit 'nacks." Theo put it in the cart without even waiting to see what Chris was going to say. He also wasn't done; he walked over to the shelf and picked up another box so he could it in the cart. Chris was quick to stop him.

"no, we only need one." Theodore frowned. " for bubby and Sissy." Chris couldn't contain his smile. "Okay, we can get this one for your sister and brother but that's it."

Theodore smiled. " 'Tay." He dropped the box in the basket before walking with Chris.

They grabbed a few more things before Chris went to the checkout. Theodore waved to the lady who was scanning the items. "Hi."

She laughed and waved back. Theodore giggled and hid behind Chris's legs. He was so shy around the pretty woman.

After paying for the grocery Chris put Theo and everything in the car before leaving the wholefoods. He went back home and put it the grocery away with Theo's help (barely).

When he was done him and Theo went to walk dodger before it was time for the kids to come home.

He walked to the bus stop with Theo and watched as the bus Drew closer. As it did, Theo squealed. He was always so happy to see his big brother and sister.

The bus came to a stop and the kids got off. Theo quickly let go of Chris's hand to hug them.

"hi Theo." Your daughter(isabella) said as she hugged him. Your son(Milo) was next, he gave Theo a big hug.

Chris chuckled softly. "Come on, let's go home. We're going to make some dinner before mommy comes home."

Chris extended his hands and they took it. They all walked home. Once inside, chris went straight to the kitchen to prepare dinner.

It was 30 minutes in when the kids decided they wanted to help. He let them help with the desert while he finished the dinner. Time was going by so fast that he didn't notice it was 6.

You were just coming home from your day out. As soon as you unlocked the door, you could smell that Chris cooked.

You smiled as you walked further into the house. "Something smells nice." You said smiling as you walked into the kitchen.

Chris and your kids looked up at you. "Mommy!" Your kids ran up to you, hugging you.

"hi."

You hugged your babies back. "Are you helping daddy?" They all nodded. "Yeah, we're made cake." Your oldest son said as he pulled you to the kitchen.

You hummed. "Wow, that's pretty nice." You smiled at Chris as you passed him.

"how about you guys go wash your hands." All the kids skedaddle to go wash their hands, theo of course being the last one because he was so little.

You laughed before turning to chris. "Hi handsome." You walked closer to him, planting your lips on his. Chris smiled into the kiss.

You pulled away, "how was your day?" Chris asked. You sighed. "I had fun but I'd rather be here with you and the kids."

Chris smiled. "Well, I'm happy you'd rather be here with me and the kids." He turned back to the stove. "And maybe later I can give you a treat from being away for so long."

You ohh and laughed. "I like the sound of that." Chris giggled as the kids returned. You both couldn't wait for your official welcome home.

Phineas and Ferb headcanon time

Disclaimer: One of the things I really pride myself on when I'm constructing headcanons is their ability to comply with regular canon. I am going to painstakingly cite my sources (mostly episode names) as I go.

Ever since Candace Against the Universe happened last year, people have been talking about two things: a third season of Milo Murphy's Law, and a third Phineas and Ferb movie. (Both entirely deserved, I would say, but then I'm biased.) This is the headcanon I would construct a third Phineas and Ferb movie around. And yes, I'm aware that I've put a lot of thought into this. It's what I do when I can't sleep. Like now.

One thing I notice is that each Phineas and Ferb movie so far has been in one sense or another based on the thematic conclusion to a character arc for a particular character who isn't Phineas or Ferb. I suppose it's fair to say they don't really need that kind of closure because they're largely wish fulfillment characters and actual character conflict is alien to them.

In Across the 1st and 2nd Dimensions, the character in focus is Perry, who finally has to deal with what happens when the boys figure out his secret identity and how they react to it. It also turns "Where's Perry?", Phineas' eternal catchcry at the start of each day, into something a little more emotionally resonant than a running gag - the question of whether Perry was ever actually there to have fun with the boys over their summer. Of course, the conclusion is, he was, and he appreciates their genius enough to- I could go on about this, not the point.

In Candace Against the Universe, the character in focus is Candace, who has to deal with meeting an actually evil brother-busting version of herself, and has nearly her whole identity deconstructed for her by Super Super Big Doctor before Phineas and Ferb reconstruct it. Again, I could go on.

But who could be the focus of a third movie? Ferb has hidden depths, but no real conflict. Buford has a lot of hidden trauma, but so far the writers have been savvy enough to keep that implied and off-screen, instead letting Doofenshmirtz, a fully-grown adult, shoulder the burden of a comedically over-the-top traumatic childhood. Doofenshmirtz himself? I mean, it's true that he has a lot of issues to deal with, but most of those have been solved by Last Day of Summer, and even more of them were solved (finding a purpose in becoming the future Professor Time) by Milo Murphy's Law. Baljeet? I'll be honest, I don't find him that engaging a character on his own. Isabella? Her only conflict was solved rather sweetly in Act Your Age, and I wouldn't want to write anything that could affect it or recontextualise it.

The answer is Linda.

It has long been a point of speculation in the fandom whether Linda knows about Phineas and Ferb's prodigious engineering and physics-defying abilities. Either interpretation has implications for her character, but neither seem flattering. If she doesn't know, then she really does just have a deficit in her perception of things, which is boring. The joke gets very played out and ridiculous, even at the best of times. If she does know, however, why doesn't she let Candace in on the fact that she tacitly supports them? Why would she allow Candace to wear herself out day after day in service to a punishment that Linda is never going to dish out? I don't want to throw around terms like "abusive" or "gaslighting" when we're dealing with, essentially, a light-hearted children's wish fulfillment cartoon. But there is clearly a conflict there. Linda at all other times seems like a fundamentally good person, albeit one who's extremely chill about everything.

Yet the evidence continues to mount that Linda knows something is up: she purposefully directs Candace's attention to Phineas and Ferb in Christmas Vacation to distract her from her self-esteem crisis; she seems unfazed when she sees their actual invention for real in Interview with a Platypus (apparently not busting them for it because it's an animal translator - adorable and not particularly unsafe), and she celebrates them developing a passion for building things in Thaddeus and Thor, albeit only seeing the first storey of an 11-storey wooden fort. Moreover, it's revealed in Face Your Fear that Linda has a background in astrophysics, that she tries to keep secret. It's entirely possible that Phineas inherited some of his scientific genius from her. Meanwhile, Lawrence seems entirely unfazed when actively participating in Phineas and Ferb's schemes (Father's Day and It's a Mud Mud Mud Mud World to name a couple). You'd think if Lawrence knew, she would at least have a clue. To top it off, Linda's own voice actress believed that she was clued in. But why not at least let Candace in on the joke? Why continue to have her believe that she's intentionally playing favourites and Candace is the odd one out?

So here's where I would go with this.

The Phineas and Ferb movies have done alien abduction, they have done alternate dimensions, but although there were some episodes about it, no movie-scale stories about time travel. Which really fits as a kind of completion of a trifecta of classic sci-fi tropes you can fit Phineas and Ferb around (for all that the three have at least been toyed with during the actual run of the show). This is also relevant because while, in the P&F/Milo Murphy crossover, we did get to see a glimpse of Professor Time, we never really see Doofenshmirtz grow into that character in present time.

In the 1980s

Linda, in her Lindana persona, is riding high on the success of I'm Lindana and I Wanna Have Fun, maybe even performing a concert, when sinister time-travellers from the future burst in and attempt to capture her. A friendlier time-traveller, who in my head is Vinnie Dakota from Milo Murphy's Law, helps her avoid them. Surprisingly, this is not Linda's first rodeo, and she proves adept at grasping the realities of time travel, and capable at fending off the sinister time travellers with a number of tricks, but is confused as to why such people would want to target her, a pop star. Dakota tries, in his own laconic but careful way, to explain that the whole scenario is a bootstrap paradox, but he has to explain it without creating any further bootstraps.

Linda(na) is no fool, and quickly sees through his leading questions; "Hypothetically, how do you feel about having kids - what would you consider an optimal number?" Accepting that there's certain information she shouldn't be allowed to know (for example, if Dakota gives her the idea to name her future kids Phineas and Candace, or god forbid, Ferb, he has just bootstrapped Linda into making choices that she should have been free to make on her own to determine her future), Linda nonetheless gleans the following information.

At some point in the future, some people who are going to be very important to her (her children) are going to grow up to become prodigiously talented with building ludicrously powerful machines, in a way that her background in astrophysics only just hints at (to be clear, she was identified as a threat by the time-travellers for her knowledge of astrophysics, not for being an 80s 1-hit wonder). At some point, her important people (just say it's her kids, Dakota), are going to foil a plot by the time travellers which would otherwise have led to world domination, and so they're coming back to prevent Linda's future from happening in the right way so that the important people can't grow up to stop them. ("Hey, what year is this? Has the movie The Terminator come out yet? Well it's kinda like that.") Those important people are also going to be the ones who bail her out of this situation, hence why this is a bootstrap paradox; without Phineas and Ferb to save her now, Linda can't go on to become the mother of Phineas and Ferb, who will then save her.... Dakota tries to explain this using as vague a set of nouns as he can, to Linda's annoyance.

In the background to this discussion, familiar silhouettes can be seen preventing the time travellers from finding her, defeating them sending them back to their own time. Dakota tells Linda that they have to hide and not look, because the mere act of observing people from her future could create time paradoxes, and he's a fairly chill guy but he doesn't want to create too many of those in one day. He tells her to keep her background in astrophysics to herself if she can; a degree of plausible deniability and perhaps being out of the public eye might keep the heat off her back for a decade or two. At least until the actual attempt to take over the world happens.

Linda, absorbing all this information and having been mysteriously saved by people she's been told are a part of her future, decides to throw a tantrum and abandon her record label to ensure she will be remembered only as a one-hit wonder. Time passes, Lindana fades into obscurity, and over the years, Linda meets a guy and has two beautiful children. Dakota was careful not to mention names or genders, so she chose the names 'Candace' and 'Phineas'. Only something doesn't seem right. As much as you can tell from infants and toddlers, Phineas seems to love everything about physical sciences and related subjects, but Candace won't hear a word of it. Dakota also seemed to think that Linda's marriage would be loving, yet it's not working out for either of them.

Only when she meets Lawrence, and his son Ferb, does she understand what Dakota meant. Lawrence is a passionate repairer of antique furniture, with a penchant for aviation like his father, and Ferb has inherited some of his family's mechanical prowess. Phineas and Ferb will no doubt grow up to be a formidable pair. Letting Lawrence in on her secret past, she resolves to protect the boys and nurture their creative energies as they grow. Lawrence, adaptable and dependable as ever, agrees.

In the 2010s (set 1 or 2 years after the events of "Act Your Age")

Phineas, Ferb, and Candace are now grown up, having spent many summers building things and developing their talents, or in Candace's case, trying to bust them for it. She has grown past that now, and as we will remember, has turned her considerable drive to bust into a very smart Law degree. Perhaps something could be made of Phineas and Ferb, having gone to study at opposite ends of the globe, feeling incomplete without each other (they do their best building as a team, after all). Meanwhile, Perry the Platypus visits 🎶Doofenshmirtz Time Incorporated🎶 (renamed from Doofenshmirtz ____ Incorporated, renamed from Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated, for branding purposes) to discover that Dr. Doofenshmirtz has finally achieved the destiny that was laid out for him nearly 12 years ago: he has built a working time machine that can be mass-produced and marketed towards people other than himself [note: this timeline was laid out in Milo Murphy's Law]. While Perry is initially trusting that these will not be used for evil, and while Doofenshmirtz is congratulating himself on achieving something unquestionably good, a sinister group of people break in to steal the time machines for their own evil purposes. Thanks to Doofenshmirtz's ability to talk under wet cement and extrapolate ideas, he correctly deduces that the "Lindana" they seem to be looking for is Linda Flynn-Fletcher, Phineas and Ferb's mother, but he also accidentally lets slip that she's still living in the Tri-State Area. Abandoning their time-travel plans for the moment, they capture Professor Time/Doofenshmirtz and try to neutralize Linda as a threat in the present day.

Unfortunately for them, Doofenshmirtz rambles about their whole plan very loudly, and he is very easily overheard by a visiting Vanessa... who contacts Ferb... who contacts Phineas... who brings Isabella with him...

...as all four reunite in style to save Linda and a very surprised Candace at Maple Drive. To their surprise, Linda is once again more than capable of handling time travellers herself, displaying skills her children have never seen her use before. Candace, of course, is shocked the most of all.

Meanwhile, the time agents from the future, theoretically led by competent people, but also Dakota and his partner Cavendish, show up to try and stop the more sinister organisation from wresting control of all time travel. Linda explains to the boys that she is going to be attacked by these same people in the past, and they have to find ways to prevent that so that she can survive to raise them - then they can return to the present and stop them in the here and now. She will attempt to hold the line with the rest of the time agents until Phineas and Ferb return, to do the things that they should now be able to do. Candace, unable to believe her ears, demands that she stays with her mother at least until she can get an explanation.

Then the truth comes out: Linda knew what the boys were doing all along, for every day of every summer. She knew perfectly well that Candace was telling the truth every time. But she couldn't bring herself to acknowledge it, because preventing them from building all the cool stuff they build might one day have led to them all being erased from existence, Candace included. So instead she played dumb, relying on the weird tendency for their inventions to disappear without warning to prevent her from having to exercise the discipline (or the blatant favouritism to wreck Candace's self-esteem) that Candace's busting would have made necessary. Candace counters that she never felt appreciated or noticed by anyone as a result of this, and notes that even the time travelling people who seem to know how the entire future should go don't think anything of her, the odd one out in a family of prodigies. But Linda assures her that she has amazing talents like her brothers, just in different areas. She can make the time travellers regret not factoring her into their plans.

Meanwhile, Phineas, Ferb, and the usual gang time travel through various points in Linda's history, including the Lindana concert seen earlier, and learn the hidden depths that their mother has had all these years.

I like this story (that I constructed entirely in my head over several weeks and only just wrote down now) because it presents a lot of opportunities:

Another chance to see Phineas, Ferb, and the rest of the gang as adults.

A chance for Linda and Lawrence to showcase the parts of themselves that the ever-prodigious and talented Phineas, Ferb, and Candace inherited from them.

A chance for Dr. Doofenshmirtz and Linda to finally reconnect, only to discover that each other's ambitions (which they discussed the night they went on a failed date) came true.

A chance to see Doofenshmirtz in his slightly more capable Professor Time persona.

Settling a long-running mythology gag once and for all. You see, Linda's voice actor Caroline Rhea doesn't actually sing "I'm Lindana and I Wanna Have Fun"; Olivia Olson, who normally voices Vanessa Doofenshmirtz, does it instead. In Ladies and Gentlemen, Meet Max Modem!, Linda quipped that she always lip-synced the song when performing it. Suppose the gang discover that one of the evil time travellers has engineered events to prevent Lindana from making it to the recording session for what would eventually become her most famous hit song - effectively preventing her from becoming Lindana (and inspiring her childrens' very important musical gifts) in the first place. How can they resolve it? Lindana from the past can't see them, so they can't help her directly. But even if Lindana did lip-sync at all future performances, they need someone in the here and now to look the part of Lindana. Someone to dress up in garish 80s fashion and wear a huge orange wig. Someone with a really good singing voice. Vanessa sighs deeply, swears the entire group to secrecy, then dons the entire trademark Lindana outfit, and surprisingly nails the song in one take. Everybody respects her sacrifice of punk/goth cred for everyone else's sake. Lindana herself, showing up hours later, is perplexed when the studio tells her they love the song she recorded, but she can't argue with the result. Hence, it's not just that Olivia Olson provides Lindana's singing voice, but Vanessa Doofenshmirtz herself was the singer of the song.

An opportunity to cross over at least a little bit with characters from Milo Murphy's Law without it coming across as gratuitous or forced. Also, easy for any audience members not familiar with MML to understand without too much explanation; knowing who Dakota and Cavendish are in advance is more of a bonus than a requirement.

For me at least, it ticks all of the boxes for everything the fans (including me) say they want. And until we get more Phineas and Ferb content to prove otherwise, this is my headcanon for why Linda knows everything about Phineas and Ferb's inventions but doesn't tell Candace.

If she got to know Isabella better, she'd be right up there with Milo and Zack in terms of besties.

Melissa and her dad go on a long walk together once a week and just talk about life. It's always her favorite time of the week.

My Sweet Ride is an amazing episode of Phineas and Ferb and the only thing bad about it I that I wish we could have seen more people in full out 1950s clothes!! So I did that!! (Also including some MML kids because I love them and don’t draw them enough!)

Candace

Okay I’m going to start out by saying I just adore this outfit

That has nothing to do with anything I just really love it!!

I’m thinking I might make one of my own for Halloween but that’s off-topic

Okay- 1950s clothing!!

Candace is wearing a blouse (?) with a cardigan over the top, and a pleated swing skirt.

This is a classic 1950s girl’s style

More specifically its also a classic “preppy good kid” look

Which Candace absolutely is!!

Y’all should notice that all the skirts are past knee-length, which was standard of the time.

Candace also has a neck scarf, a common accessory, and a headband.

Ribbon headbands were still a thing in the 50s but the hard plastic headband was also coming into style in the later 1950s.

She’s wearing a pair of saddle shoes which were one of the popular options of the time among boys and girls

Her hair is long with curls at the end, another classic teenager look in the 50s!

While short hair was more popular among adult women, teenage girls often kept theirs long with slight curls on the end!

Bangs were also standard, but usually shorter than how I drew them

Sorry that bit’s inaccurate through all of them, it’s just easier for me to draw long!

Finally, in case you had any doubt about Candace’s outfit being time period, here’s an advertisement from the article I read:

Vanessa

To start off we have a blouse and pencil shirt for Vanessa

Pencil and swing skirts were the two most common skirts of the time

She’s also wearing a belt, which I modified slightly to look like-

The wide contour belt on the bottom right!

She’s also wearing a pillbox hat, one of the popular hats of the time!

Hats were generally not worn by teenagers because they were seen as “mature” 

But that fits pretty well with Vanessa’s character

It’s the same story with the pumps, which I also changed lightly to match time period ones a bit more

Now what made me make my original post about the outfits in My Sweet Ride was actually the hair

Specifically, Vanessa’s hair is modeled after the Bettie Page style

This hair wasn’t actually that popular with the masses because it was seen as too simple, not classy, etc.

BUT it was popular among rebel girls in the USA

And like!!!!!! Y’all the designers did SUCH a good job to get down into details like that!!!!!!!!

But yeah her outfit’s great!! Next one!

Stacy

For Stacy, I decided to change things up slightly and give her a dress!

Specifically, it’s a shirtwaist dress, which I modeled after the reference below

Why the shirtwaist dress you may ask? Idk I think they’re neat

I thought it fit the vibe I was going for so I did that one I don’t know what to tell you jkdshsf-

Okay so generally, the belt wouldn’t have been a different color but I wanted to tie the green I used in a little more

Btw sorry I changed her color scheme a bit

I honestly haven’t fully figured out her original color scheme so I modified it a bit so it would look nice for this!

Pastels were very popular in the summer after all

I tried to stick to everyone else’s original color scheme though!

Stacy also has a headband tied up into a bow, which was standard

And to change things up I put her in a ponytail (with the end curled) which was popular with the teens!

Sklsdjhdkj I sound very “how do you do fellow teens“ while writing this that’s unintentional sorry

Shoes are penny loafers, another popular shoe at the time

I liked the little bows on the ends of some of the ones I saw and thought it was very Stacy!

That’s about it for her!

Phineas

This has nothing to do with anything but I love drawing Phineas

He’s just a funky little triangle!! I love him!

I’ll admit here that I didn’t look into men’s hairstyles, so you won’t hear about that from me sorry!

Phineas is wearing a black button-up, standard. 

Black and white matched everything so they were the most common undershirt colors

Over that, he has a jacket that looks to be varsity jacket inspired, which was seen as super cool!

Full jeans were coming into popularity in the 50s but only with the younger generations

Finally, he also has saddle shoes like Candace does

So yeah it’s a solid 1950s outfit!!

Ferb

Ferb’s a greaser, need I say more?

No, really he has everything

The white t-shirt and jeans combo is exactly the greaser look, so much so that most teenagers avoided it to not fall into stereotypes

Tighter fit jeans were coming into style in the later 50s, so that’s also accurate

The leather jacket just amplifies the greaser look

The one thing is that for the life of me I couldn’t figure out what shoes he was wearing

So I gave him a pair of sho-loks and called it a day!

Isabella

Isabella makes an appearance with the first (and only) poodle skirt of the group!!

Poodle skirts, while definitely what most people think about when you say the 50s, actually weren’t that popular among teenagers

The embroidered designs were seen as childish, so children and preteens wore them the most

But here’s a fun tidbit you may not have caught from the show, Isabella is, in fact, a child

(I don’t know why I built that up so much sorry ldksjfhkds)

Anyways I decided if I was going to give anyone a classic poodle skirt it might as well be Isabella!

I modeled it after this poodle skirt:

She’s also wearing a blouse with a peter pan collar, the most popular collar of the time

Another headband tied into a bow because it’s Isabella I had to give her a bow

Standard belt (nothing really to say about that)

And another pair of penny loafers with little bows because they’re cute gosh darn it!

Milo

Okay, I’ve been writing for a while but honestly a lot of the rest of these I just drew directly from reference so…

I did say I would talk about shu-loks here though and I will!!!

Now we know Milo is shoelace-adverse

And while there are plenty of slip-on options I found the shu-lok to be fascinating!!

As you can see above, the tongue snaps down to keep the shoe on your foot!! Isn’t that cool? :D

So yeah I gave Milo those!!  

Zack

We know Zack plays football so I gave him your standard sporty outfit

Sorry I just find girls outfits infinitely more interesting so I kinda focused on those skjhgfdss

Oh! I do have something to say here!!

Converse were your typical sports shoe for the 50s so he has those!! Almost forgot that tidbit!!

Yeah, thick soles with wrinkles and stuff were seen as cool among teens so they got popular!

Melissa

Finally, we have some patterned pants!!

Yeah- checkers, plaid, stripes, polka dots, etc. were all very popular!!

I just didn’t want to draw them a lot ‘cause it’s hard sksfjdhgs-

But I gave Melissa checkers because it would get the black and white of her color scheme and I liked the way the checkered pants looked!!

Girls did wear pants at the time by the way!!

During summer and weekends mostly since they weren’t allowed to wear them to school

Short-sleeved turtle necks were also a thing and I thought that combo would look neat!!

Also, converse because it went with the outfit and that’s kinda what she’s wearing in the show!

Hair in a ponytail and side part bangs, both popular!

Yeah okay, that’s about it for Melissa!

Amanda

By this point, y’all are hopefully getting the gist of 50s fashion so we’re going fast now

Blouse, swing skirt, penny loafers (different style but still penny loafers), headband

(here’s what I modeled the whole thing after:)

I do want to mention the pullover sweater because I thought I should include one and I really like the flower embroidery on them

Then finally we come to her hair!! I already mentioned the headband but I was specifically modeling her hair in the pageboy style which looks like this:

Obviously, it looks a little stylized but what can you do?

And that’s it!! I had so much fun doing research and designing this and I think they all turned out pretty good!! I’m going to do more go this in the futures so if there's someone in particular you’d like to see let me know!! I’m planning on doing Cavendish, Dakota, and Sara at least in the next batch!!
