I love dp x DC stories in which Ghost King Danny is summoned in his full Eldritch form and scaring the shit out of everyone. I also like it when it combines with aus of him talking in ghost speak and the translation gets wrangled, so he sounds a lot more threatening than he means to.

But in those stories ... his name doesn't really fit. What Eldritch God would be called Danny? Even Phantom isn't that scary.

Then I realized that if ghost speak gets translates wrongly and Danny said his name in ghost speak ... wouldn't it be translated wrong too?

And Daniel means God is my Judge in Hebrew while Phantom of course is a kind of ghost.

So,

The Justice League has summoned Danny and he doesn't realize that he's in his Eldritch form. His skin is black and filled with galaxies constantly being born and dying. His eyes are two endless black holes. His hair is the flash of the big bang. He's terrifying and awe-inspiring.

As he speaks, it sounds like millions of beings screaming in agony before breathing their last breath.

And then Danny says "Hi! My name is Danny Phantom, the Ghost King, how can I help you?"

But what the JL hears through the translation is: "I am the Judge of Gods and the restless Dead, Ruler of the Infinite, for what purpose hath thee summoned me?"

Now that's a fitting name!

George Lucas also did this with the Star Wars Original Trilogy after releasing the Prequel Trilogy - he swapped in Hayden Christensen as Vader's Ghost, CG'ed more stormtroopers into a couple scenes, and of course there was the whole Han Shot First/Greedo Shot First thing

Is it weird to edit a book i already published and re-release it with the sequel? Like, I don't want to get double paid - the plot will remain the same. but 2016 caffeine was a different beast than 2025 caffeine and id love the opportunity to clean up the timeline, so to speak

Steve Harrington has a type and it's badass people who are an older sibling, that are smarter than him and can kick his ass and are more beautiful than he is. Case in point Nancy and Billy.

Also now that I realize it. He's a sucker for blue eyes too. Like he is such a sucker for baby blue eyes.

I have this idea for a computer game that my cousin, who is an avid gamer, and who also dabbles in building games told me was a terrible terrible idea. But I love it anyway.

On the surface, it starts out as like a "Taxi Driver simulator" or something like that. And you're just driving around to different places picking up random fares. But everybody you meet is kind of weird. They make idle chitchat that seems strange and kind of disconnected. And sometimes they mention these weird posters that have been around town. But unless you actually pay attention to what they are saying, you don't get into the actual meat of the game.

One of the mechanics of the game is that you have to get out of your car to go pick people up at the locations. Which gives you the opportunity to look around. If you actually look at one of these posters, it will give you what initially appears to be a side quest. But you go to a building listed on the poster, and you end up in Faerie going on magical quests to save a kingdom and "rescue our monarch." but the more quests you complete in that storyline, the more of your memories you get back, and it eventually becomes clear that you, in fact, are the monarch.

personally, I think this would be a fun game to play, and I also think it would be very funny to sell it for three bucks on steam as like, "Taxi Driver simulator," to see how many people in the reviews don't mention the second part of the game.

But I also probably won't ever create something like this, because I have a bazillion other projects that are much higher priority.

Oh well.
