I finally took the time to photograph my vintage dip pen nib collection, and I need to share with you all how wonderful and diverse their designs are.

These two are my favorite. Just look at them! One of them is named Gorille and the other Mephisto, but to me they're little pumpkins.

And of course you gotta love the Pinocchio nib. You get to write with the nose of a tiny guy! Just not something you get to do anymore.

I need you guys to know that what's super funny to me is that as someone who has taken security training on private and secure data what you're SUPPOSED to do when someone sends you private data by accident is delete it and you're supposed to cycle your private keys and passwords on a regular basis so Dedra getting data she's not supposed to see and being like 'oh HELL yes' and saving it out while Lonni is sitting here on her email password/SSH key he stole a fucking year ago and has been reading everything the WHOLE TIME is so real and relateable and just. Like. Everything about how the Death Star gets leaked is based on ACTUAL infosec problems and stuff you're trained to NOT do because THIS is what happens.

It's always funny how the kids talk back to Bruce when literally no one else – maybe Clark, but more in a gentle and slightly concerned way – would ever dare, it's all "Yes, sir" and "No, sir" and hustling to execute his orders because you can't argue with The Batman, can you? But the kids will be "Bruce I swear to god, you're insufferable today" cause he complained about them being 3 minutes late to the evening meeting and that his coffee is 1.5 degree too cold than he likes it and he'll frown and look all dejected and say "I know, I'm sorry. I need to do better. You deserve better."

I see so many people starting to use Threads as a way to escape Twitter and yes, it's owned by Facebook's CEO and giving Facebook the monopoly of social media is bad but I think we should also talk about the fact that, you know, Threads isn't avalibe in the EU for privacy reasons?????
