Reflecting on the hilarious incident, Sloane burst into laughter. "I mean, She thought my fellow officers were just actors in some wild show her husband set up!" She playfully rolled her eyes. "And nope, Kat was off doing her own thing—what a bummer! If she had been there, we would’ve shared a riot of laughs! So, how’s the training going? Are folks managing to keep up with your crazy routines?"
Jax laughed. "Damn Sloane, I'm sure she was in for a shock when you finally arrested her, huh?" He looked at her. "Or did you have Kat do it?"

“...We need to talk.” Lyra glanced up as Jax entered the room. She had been wrestling with the knowledge of Cyrus’ secret for a while, putting off talking to Jax about it, but she knew that she needed to tell him sooner or later. “I have to tell you something,” she took a deep breath, biting her lip. As much as she didn’t want to out one of her people, she knew she couldn’t keep it from Jax. @jax-harper

The After Party
Lola had emerged from hiding to watch the movie, but sitting with her siblings as it went by filled her with a growing sense of dread. Not because she feared the world created in the movie, but because she knew this kind of thing would hurt someone she’d grown to care about. As the credits rolled and the crowd applauded, she instructed her siblings to go straight home, and despite their earlier resolution not to be together, she knew she had to find Jax. Thoughts about his girlfriend were the furthest thing from her mind, she just had to make sure he was okay before she could go home. She moved through the crowd, her stomach twisting as she craned her neck trying to catch a glimpse of the commander. @jaxwilder

Draft Pick
“We could promote Lopez, she’s been showing real initiative on missions.” Caleb suggested, rubbing his eyes as he leaned back from the personnel files they were looking over. They needed to replace the thieves they’d caught, but Caleb was already exhausted. He’d spent most of his day getting stitched up at the hospital after one of the culprits had pulled a knife on him, and he had a headache from the meds they’d given him. “Although she is getting a bit cocky. It would feed her ego.” @jaxwilder

jax-harper:
“I don’t want the jewel!” It wasn’t entirely true. Joining all the jewels together was his greatest ambition in life, the most important thing to him. At least, it had been. He shook his head, not pulling away from her embrace, but not returning it. “Lyra. It doesn’t matter if the colony is vulnerable, because you’re more vulnerable there! You know what they’ll do to you, and I - I don’t give a damn about the jewels if it’s a sure exchange for your life!” He slipped from her grasp, afraid that touching her would somehow weaken his resolve. “This isn’t the same as the normal danger we’re in!”
“It’s not a sure exchange, don’t you see?” Lyra sighed. “My mother is too busy dealing with a coup to hand out death sentences willy-nilly. I doubt very much she’d try to kill me when I could help her get the jewel back,” a part of her didn’t want to believe her mother would truly kill her anyway, but she knew that part was wrong. “Besides, we can at least find out... I don’t have to go near the colony for that. We’ll send Arroyo back with one of the other mers, they can pretend they helped him, do some scouting, figure out if it’s worth our effort. We can at least see what our chances are!”

Aurora laughed, shaking her head at Jax. "Honestly, the only reason I love award shows is for the fashion. Most of those outfits are worn once and then disappear for years—until someone randomly brings them back. But I won’t lie, the drama is entertaining too. Some people take winning way too seriously, while others are just there to hype up their friends. It’s a whole spectacle, and I kind of love it."
"I'm not even famous and I'll never go to an award show, but I love award show season because of one, how fucking great it is to watch how supportive Taylor Swift is, and two, how some people are so damn petty when they win or lose." @rededgerpstarterblog

Part of Your World
Giving a playful twirl to avoid crashing into the porters who were unloading their cargo from the ship, Lyra gracefully hopped onto one of the dock posts that protruded from the water, balancing until Jax finished negotiating the price of their latest prize. After he’d clapped hands with the final merchant and sent him on his way, she hopped down to approach him. “Can we go swimming now? I’ll drink with you later, if you want, but I haven’t had a swim in aaaages, please?” She batted her long lashes up at him, clasping her hands behind her back as she pouted up at the captain prettily. @jax-harper

Rough Seas
While Jax stood guard, Lyra waded out into the shallows of the cove. She’d wanted to go swimming in the ocean this time, in case that made any difference to her voice, so they’d made their way to a small, disused cove. This one was littered with rocks and things that made it unsuitable for ships, and would give her plenty of hiding places both above and below the water in case anyone stumbled upon them. She turned towards Jax to check that the coast was clear befor she dove beneath the surface. “Are we good to go?”

Moonshine
“This is not for you, good sir, because I don’t know if you know this, but you are, in fact, a dog.” Lola was speaking, quite clearly, down to the large dog sitting on the kitchen floor, staring up at her from where she perched on Jax’s kitchen table. Atlas hadn’t tried to attack her or anything, but Lola had still felt safer climbing up onto the table, her legs tucked underneath her while she drank clear liquid directly from a large glass mason jar. @jaxwilder

Sloane raised an eyebrow at Jax's comment, a small smile playing on her lips. "Well, I wouldn't say I'm too smart to know about them, but I do try to steer clear of any unnecessary drama," she replied, her tone slightly teasing. "As for me, I'm doing quite alright, thank you. Just working on some small cases and trying to stay focused. Can't complain, really. You've been staying out of trouble?" she teases.
"That's because you're too smart to know about them, Sloane." Jax looked at her. "I'm doing good, I mean, besides people bringing up those idiots. How about you?"

Shit Talking
“Wilder, we need to talk.” Caleb barely greeted the fellow commander as he walked into the small office that the commanders shared. “There’s talk going around that you had some kinda scene at your apartment on the night of the festival, something with two redheads? Now, I don’t give a shit if you got some kinda fetish, but the guys are talking about it and it makes us seem unprofessional if you have girls coming and going all the time, so get your shit together.” @jaxwilder

"Feeling great man. That was a great work out." Caleb compliments his personal trainer. "Thanks for taking me in so late, I know you've been hella business lately."
"Alright, that was a good workout." Jax smiled at the person he had just finished training. "How are you feeling?" @rededgerpstarterblog

jaxonsawyer replied to your post:
Jax sighed in utter fucking relief as he say Jason’s name lighting up his phone. “Fuck… hey brother," he coughed out, his voice thick and worn, ragged with emotion.
"Hey man, I'm sorry I didn't catch your call earlier. I was uh.. with Summer. What's up man? What's wrong?" He asked with urgency, anger yet to fill him at whoever may have made Jax feel this way. Right now, he just needed to know what was going on.
