i don't think masa would bother with shinsoc. shinsoc wouldn't be interesting because he's pretty set in his own morality and resistant to outside influence. masa is very much a vibes only, staying in my lane type of person so if shinsoc didn't bother masa, masa wouldn't bother him.

masa is only interested in people he can make worse (urahara, shinji) or who're already terrible (aizen, formerly unohana).

and yeah jughead wouldn't want to acknowledge it bc it's so on-the-nose and beneath him and that would infuriate gay kevin who has endured so so much repressed closet case bullshit in his gay lifetime. i don't think they could stand to actually date. jughead would ultimately write a mean play about their liaisons and kevin would write a spiteful score/musical book for it and they'd pretend it was all so veiled in metaphor that nobody would ever realize what had happened (everyone would realize. it would be so blatant and cringe).

yaknow i kind of feel bad for carlos because even if i don't agree with his attitude, he's absolutely getting more hate than others would be if they were acting the same way precisely because his teammate is charles. like. anyone is going to look extra bad compared to a teammate who never says a bad thing about anyone ever in press and seems perpetually in love with ferrari and motivated to help the team as a whole and is also, you know, insanely talented.

in the grand scheme of ferrari, carlos comes out looking even worse because his interviews get followed up with charles's angelic "only complain privately" approach... against others it'd be like oh, racing drivers are just selfish like that, all teammates screw each other over from time to time but still care for the team it's fine, etc. etc., but the problem is that charles isn't selfish like that generally so it just looks extra rude to do it to him 😭

i still haven’t figured out kezo’s specific powers that extend beyond enhanced abilities ( strength, quick healing, etc. ) and im thinking that mayhaps, he never got them ( for now ) <3 assumed the demon inside was too dormant or perhaps too weak, kezo gave up on waiting to depend on those gifts to surface and instead focused on honing the skills he did have, becoming a tad too good at combat and strategics. when his powers do start to manifest, it happens post - rogue and leaves him kind of fucked up while he figures out what is happening

Manger in charge of a LOT of shit quit recently because he got a job offer that was

A) 3x his original salary, and

B) involved far less responsibility

I had worked as his subordinate last year, so naturally the head honchos asked me take over what he was doing. Not with the title, but with the “promise” that we can visit that discussion in eight months depending on my performance (yeah okay /s).

Key note: I had received a similar promise for a different manager position. (No followup mention of that promise + no significant training provided to move me towards that position) * 7 months = empty promise. Alright cool.

One month in. Not getting too much guidance (expected), told I’m doing good and need to value myself higher.

Okay. Bet.

Asked for a raise in recognition of increased responsibilities beyond my current job description, quality of work, pay scale of the position (i’m at the bottom), etc. You know, hard facts that cannot be influenced by subjective feelings of importance or relevance.

Oh let’s not forget part of the raise was the annual raise that the HR manager promised ALWAYS happens but I have not received since my annual review four months ago. That I told the HR manager about two months ago but never heard anything back on. So there was a reminder of that, as well.

Told (to my face) that I’m entitled, don’t work hard enough, issued an ultimatum (literally didn’t make any sort of threat but okay), used the owner’s words against him (literally just quoted him on something he told me about pay when I was first hired but okay), they threatened that they could easily go out and find an external hire to take on in the role I’m being “trained” for, and asked if I REALLY think any other place would hire me. Among other “”feedback.””

Okay. Okay okay okay okay. I see how they view me now. Good to know. I learned quite a few things from this conversation and I think some of those things may surprise them.
