I saw your latest post and my heart instantly shattered for you. I know that feeling all too well (no Taylor pun intended), and I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy, let alone one of my favorite fic writers.

If no one’s ever claimed you as their favorite, then they’ve failed you as a friend! You are sweet, and talented, and overall amazing! Heck, you make me smile all the time, and I’ve only ever seen you through the screen. 🤭

But, if it’s any comfort, I’d choose you as my favorite person in my screen! I’d wrap you in the tightest of hugs and listen to you talk about all your favorite things. I’m not great at talking, but just being in your presence would be enough to make me happy.

As gen-AI becomes more normalized (Chappell Roan encouraging it, grifters on the rise, young artists using it), I wanna express how I will never turn to it because it fundamentally bores me to my core. There is no reason for me to want to use gen-AI because I will never want to give up my autonomy in creating art. I never want to become reliant on an inhuman object for expression, least of all if that object is created and controlled by tech companies. I draw not because I want a drawing but because I love the process of drawing. So even in a future where everyone’s accepted it, I’m never gonna sway on this.

Happy International Mother Earth Day 2025

Happy International Mother Earth Day, 22 April, 2025. 2025 Theme: "Our Power, Our Planet". This theme is a message to all parties to unite around renewable energy for the better and sustainable future. This is the 55th Earth Day since the first celebration in 1970.

The production and use of renewable energy transcends economic systems, political borders and political parties, demonstrating a universal appeal. Let us work together on this, we can do this as small as possible. We have a pathway to providing virtually unlimited, low-cost energy to everyone.

We have achieved a lot of achievements so far in this thing:

1. Today over 50% of Denmark’s electricity is generated from wind turbines and by 2026, wind energy will power 30% of the electricity needs of Spain, 17% of the electricity needs of the Netherlands, and 23% of the electricity needs of Germany.

2. In Brazil hydro-electric accounted for nearly 68% of its total electricity generation in 2023. In Italy hydro-electric accounts for 23% of the total electricity generation and is growing, and in Netherlands it accounts for 16%.

3. Kenya is a leader in Africa, with geothermal power accounting for nearly half of its electricity generation. Geothermal can be beneficial for the electrical grid, as it puts less strain on it and can help mitigate blackouts. Geothermal also emits 97% less acid rain-causing compounds and 99% less carbon dioxide.

4. PRC and the U.S. are both making massive investments in renewable energy. PRC is the largest producer world in both wind and solar, with twice as much capacity under construction as the rest of the world combined in 2024.

The strength of this movement lies in its grassroots nature, and our power as individuals. Support and adopt the rapid transition to renewable energy sources now, like solar, wind, hydro-electric, tidal or geothermal.

People's power at the grassroots has always been at the heart of Earth Day. It is the catalyst for paradigm-shifting change because when individuals unite with a common purpose, they can overcome even the strongest systems, really.
