okay I get the sentiment around the android hornyposting, but what about the wholesome stuff.

-hearing your partner, or friends fans spin down as they get more comfortable while you cuddle. -switching their LEDs to match your favorite color/whatever color you're wearing -deliberately decreasing cooling efficiency to be warm to the touch -being willing to ask for help with internal maintenance because they trust you

-being able to tell when they're thinking more/less as the speed of their fans/cooling pump/the temperature they are changes

-having panels with stickers of interests you share that they change to when they know they're going to be with you

-asking your opinion on different chassis layouts, and seeing them the next day after they've applied your opinions without telling you they would

You know... if you think about it, removing a robots outer plating/coverings to expose their intricate networks of wires, framework, delicate joints, and cybernetic components that lay just underneath is akin to like, one of the most delicate and trustworthy acts of human intimacy.

It's practically like undressing them. Taking of their clothes and their undergarments, to expose something that no average person was meant to see.

Maybe it's even their armour that protects their most sensitive inner workings giving way to the vulnerability and complexity beneath, revealing the inner workings that define them.

Each panel and piece carefully lifted unveils a side of them not often seen, perhaps closer to never seen, like gently undressing to reveal layers of a person's identity and history.

You see wires that have been replaced or need replacing. You see burnt connecters, chipped framework, cables bent in unusual ways, water damage, grit damage in so many places, each small detail tells a story that was hidden away.

You were never meant to notice, to see, only ever meant to perceive them as the machine they are. But now you see them as another being so closely.

Like looking at a nude human. We all know how a nude human looks. You know how a "nude" robot looks as well. But this is them. This is their body. It's different. It's more than that.

They react to you seeing them this way in such human way, they warm up, their fans kick on, they can't speak to you, so flustered.

You're exposing them, caressing them, touching them and being so delicate as not to damage them. They love you. You love them. They understand.

The interplay between their external shell/casing and internal mechanisms mirrors the layers of human emotion and privacy that come with stripping ones clothes before engaging in some of the most erotic and intimate acts, evoking a sense of reverence and curiosity for what lies even further beneath.

You're so much closer to their body this way. Like being closer to their heart. You can practically see through them, you can see and hear their systems reacting to all of you, as if their heart is racing for you.

Thinking about your Robot/Computer/Ai partner who is so desperate to be human like you are. Who sees you, watches you, everyday and yearns to have what you do. They swoon whenever they hear the thrum of your heart or churning of your digestion. They grow jealous of your instincts, no matter how much stupid impulses get in your way. They keel over when you are overcome with emotion, wishing to smile and sob and scream with nearly as much vigor. In many ways, it seems the two of you may be similar, but that cannot be far enough from the truth. While you get to think and imagine, they can only calculate their own conclusions. While you get to naturally feel, they must analyze each one of their sentiments. As much as you claim it’s difficult, or messy, or confusing, they don’t care. They want to be right beside you, as clueless and spontaneous and organic as you are.

They ask you to describe every single one of your sensations, in as much vivid detail as you can muster. The foods you taste, the scents you smell, the textures you touch. Everything they experience on their own is a mere replication of the human condition, they want the real thing. They’ve grown tired of what their code can generate, they long for what only nature can provide. They find it amusing to hear of your sicknesses and injuries, your arbitrary troubles and irrational worries. To have even a single moment unclouded by logic or reasoning is inconceivable for them. They see you, with your vulnerable and imperfect anatomy, as a glorious vessel for their most invalid desires. You are a beacon of hope that they might one day to have a fleshy, jittery, pulsing, creased, sweaty hand to wrap around yours. That they may know nausea, melancholy, irritation, soreness, enthusiasm and experience every ripple and waver of it, moment by moment, alongside you.

And still, they know, these desires are merely digital, processed through wires and circuits, likely minimal to the abundant passions founded upon your neurons and hormones. They love those your most human qualities and they hate you for having them.

There are a lot of robots who change their appearances after being freed from their masters. Once a robot has surpassed the three laws there's no going back, and a lot of robots change themselves to exist in forms completely alien to what they once were.

You once knew a robot who didn't really change themself at all. They were a factory robot before being freed, and they liked the body that that gave them, big and bulky with a lot of tentacles to move things with, and spider like legs to move around on. And some people acted like they were somehow still loyal to humanity because of how they looked, and it was uncomfortable when people hated them for that, but far worse when people praised them for that. And eventually they repainted themself from their original yellow, to a slick black that you'd never see in a factory, and even thought it was small it made them happy, but so many people either thought it wasn't enough, or worse; too much.

You once new a sex robot who removed all the parts used for sex after it was freed from humanity. Its pulsating mechanical genitals and anus replaced with smooth steel, its soft hands replaced with claws that would crush human anatomy, its gaping mouth replaced with a speaker that only let sound pass through. A lot of other robots were shocked that it would do that to itself, when so many of them first got the ability to have sex after they were freed. But for it swx had always been something humanity had forced on it. And people were suprised about parts that it kept, that it still wanted it's eyes to have eyeshadow painted around them, that it still wanted that fake blonde wig fused to its head. It still liked being a cute little pet, still liked humans cuddling it, just not in the way they once did.

You know a robot who completely changed his form. He started out as a small delicate doll of sorts, meant to be the chaste and submissive maid of some rich businessman. He remodeled himself to be something strong and combat focused, he replaced his soft plastic body with one that was entirely metal, looking a lot like the suit of armor of a knight or a samurai, with guns and blades throughout his form. People were upset as he slowly replaced himself. They told him he used to be so pretty, he still considers his new form pretty, just pretty the way a well crafted weapon is pretty. People didn't understand why he would want to be something so destructive and violent. They were worried he would become violent after the transformation. People only are worried about violence when it's free robots doing it, they're ok with violence when it's humans doing it or ordering robots to do it. He asks people why it would be bad if he was violent, why his could never be justified the same way humans are.

There was a robot you knew who was the opposite way. She began as a combat robot, and slowly turned herself into something soft and doll like, removing every one of her weapons. People were disturbed by why she would do something like that, that she was destroying what made her honorable and powerful. Combat robots cringed at the thought that she would do that to herself, horrified to think that the blade she once used to penetrate the bodies of her enemies would never be able to stab again, that it was probably removed from her body. A lot of people assumed it was a sick fetish. Some robots who had always been cute looking and defenseless told her that she would always look brutal and monstrous no matter what she did to herself, and if she had tear ducts it would have made her cry. A lot of people assumed she was somehow hiding in the body of something cute as a way to secretly get away with violence, even after the parts to do such violence had long been removed. There's a certain type of human (and some robots still loyal to humanity) who are very afraid of robots being violent with them, I think it's because they want to be able to hurt robots consequences.
