I suddenly remember That you never told us how a meeting between Prime/Archie! Sonic and Fleetway (Amnesiac/Good) Super Sonic would go.

Also I want to read Fleetway Sonic and scourge reactions if They somehow end Up dating (I like Fleetonic and I need something to draw lol)

I imagine any meeting between Prime and Super would likely come after Prime has already had the misfortune of meeting Sonic, and subsequently had at least one (1) argument about Super. If the argument hasn't already happened by the time Prime and Super meet, it's definitely imminent. I imagine Prime would be a lot more forgiving of Super than Sonic is (partly because he just doesn't have the same baggage Sonic does and partly because he's just overall less of a dick) so he'd be sympathetic to his plight. He'd be much quicker to believe Super when he says he doesn't want to be that evil person who hurts and kills people for fun. Sonic would scoff and call him a trusting idiot, but it's not that Prime is oblivious to or ignoring the danger that Super can cause, he just doesn't believe dogpiling the guy about it will actually help his situation

Sonic's reaction to finding out they're dating would just be more "I think you're fucking stupid" or, depending on how not-awful his relationship with Super is, just a quiet scoff. He probably tells Prime that if he's soooo fond of Super, then he can take Super with him back to his dimension, but he's probably also secretly worried about Prime actually following through, because if anything goes wrong, Sonic isn't there to help stop it. Chaos energy in the fleetway dimension is fucky and corrupted; for all his bitching and "don't come crying to me if he tries to kill all your friends", Sonic doesn't actually want another universe to suffer from that corrupted energy. He definitely doesn't want the chaos energy in the prime zone to become corrupted the same way his was, either

I can't imagine Scourge has much emotional attachment to Super to care too much. Like, he sees a part of himself in Super, specifically in how both of their identities used to be tied to Sonic, but he doesn't like that he can relate to Super. He doesn't hate or dislike him, but he definitely doesn't like him, either. He just often ends up being the one Ebony calls for out of everyone else in the freedom fighters because he's the one with the least amount of history with Super, so Super doesn't put him on edge the same way he does everyone else. So if Super started dating Prime, he'd probably just make some snarky comment about weak-hearted goody-two-shoes flocking together

Ultimately, the two of them together will probably mock the relationship. They probably only find out because one of them comes home and immediately starts bitching about how "did you HEAR Super and Prime are dating now???" and then they spend an hour talking shit about them. After all, even if Sonic has warmed up to Super a little, he probably still doesn't trust him or is comfortable being around him, and Scourge is a stubborn fucker who won't change his mind about disliking Prime out of sheer spite, so neither Prime nor Super have much of Sonic and Scourge's respect

Is Sebastian not talking about Anders goals when he says “his own needs” ? Anders is “selfish” for putting his goals and wants above Hawke completely? That’s Not selfish imo but that’s Sebastian, or am I misreading what people are interpreting it as?

Sebastian was warning Hawke to be careful because Anders is, in his words, "selfish" and will always put his own needs above anyone else. This dialogue only plays when you romance Anders, for context.

Knowing everything we know about Sebastian and how often he has downplayed, denied, or outright tried to gaslight Anders when it comes to the topic of mage oppression, it would make sense that he would view Anders' putting his activism and rebellion before his relationship as being selfish since Sebastian hardly even acknowledges that there's a real threat to mages to begin with.

My response was more about the replies to the post though, not Sebastian's comments. No one has to like him, they can hate him, kill him, whatever else. There are many things to criticize Anders for. He can be mean, catty, an unreliable narrator of the topic of possession, manipulative, hostile to people he should be in solidarity with (some intersectionality with elves and blood mages would not kill him), etc. Hell, a lot of those are what makes him complex and interesting!

But there just is this very common sentiment in the fandom amongst Anders haters that how much he cares and talks about age rights is the problem. That he should have twiddle his thumbs while his fellow mages were continuously abused and made tranquil while Meredith refused to budge and Elthina backed her on it and the mages were losing their lives and strength and thus their ability to fight back if any more years passed by. That he betrayed Hawke by not choosing a romantic life in a mansion in Kirkwall with Hawke over his own goals (which, imo, would have been ACTUALLY selfish). I just think those are actual misreadings and misunderstandings about his character and the plot and just wanted to rant about it a bit with that post being the catalyst.

The writers, for better or worse, included references to real world fascism, slavery, and genocide into the game (ie. The Tranquil Solution being a reference to the Final Solution, the Mage Underground being a reference to the Underground Railroad, etc.).

I would honestly be far more concerned if Anders, an abused and traumatized circle mage who helps escaped mages on the daily also lost his last partner to tranquility, DIDN'T put those things first 😬

Plus, I'm sure he's also thinking about mage Hawke or Bethany (depending) and factoring his care for them and his wishes for people like them to be free into his decision, based on some of his banters with them + his romance dialogues with mage!Hawke.

But yeah, all this is to say that you understand Anders correctly! I was just ranting about the wider sentiment that those sorts of responses from the fandom seem to stem from.

I will never forget the very moment when we spend the entire story seeing Jiang Cheng as someone who just can't leave Wei Wuxian to have a single moment of peace, who was his best friend/future leader/brother/whatever and now is full of resentment and hate and keep finding and screaming and prodding at every bruise and yet in the most important fight takes a hit for him and reveals holding onto Chengqin for 13 entire years.

And then. AND THEN after he discovers Wei Wuxian gave him his core and therefore gave up from ever following the cultivation path again, we have that single moment, that single memory of Jiang Cheng attracting the Wen Soldiers away from him, being captured, tortured, losing his core and almost dying which was the biggest show of love and care that started the entire cycle of sacrifices and drove each other away.

The love was there. It made things worse but it was there.

That was the very moment everything else clicked and I knew that he was The Blorbo I would be obsessed with. Also is a parental figure so my fate was sealed from the evry beginning.

On a llighter note!!! I put more, less AND different romance because kijuygthyujikol how can he be listed as the 5th most derisable cultivator of his generation AND NEVER have a SINGLE one HINT of a partner <3 <3 <3 my bro has absolutely NO RIZZ and no desire to marry <3 <3 I think it would be super interesting to see anything romantic related to him
