And. AND. There’s so much of Bruce in Dick, so much of what he could have been without the trauma and self-imposed isolation, that when the JL talks about Nightwing being so good in contrast to Batman, they don’t always realize how much of that goodness is Bruce’s.

Dick stands on his own as a team leader and a kind man, but to say he built himself from the ground up would be a lie. Bruce filled in the cracks around an angry, traumatized child. He gave Dick what he didn’t have. His goodness lives on in Dick because it can’t always live on in him.

Not without applying leverage to some maladaptive codependencies that existed within the relationship dynamic.

The person concerned would never get help for themaelves unless it was framed as “how can you be so selfish and hurt me like this? Why won’t you take care of yourself? Isn’t my love for you enough?”

I don't regret it because it got them the help they needed and they got better, but I didn’t enjoy having to resort to that and our relationship has never really been the same.

Bus is having a terrible morning.

He has a vet diet and gets his medications in his food, so his food bowl is sealed and only opens for the tag on his collar.

This morning I put his food down before I realized he had lost the collar. Now he's unable to get into his food until I put the collar back on him.

But because he is Bus and his brain is operated by a fly that buzzes around and bonks off the side of his skull, he has decided that I'm Doing Something to him by putting his collar back on.

He's now hiding from me, hungry and naked, fleeing from me if I approach him. I need him to come and get a cuddle so I can slip the collar back on, but he won't come for cuddles until he's been fed.

Also one of his meds is gabapentin for his anxiety so if he doesn't take that he will get even more anxious and scared.

I have no idea how to solve this problem

My apologies if someone has already brought this up, but I just thought of something quite heartbreaking.

When Wednesday chooses to go to Tyler and kiss him, that that is the first time someone, anyone has shown him genuine tenderness in many years, and from a real desire to connect with him. His relationship with his father has been poor, Laurel is preying on him, and he doesn’t seem to have any actual friends.

so me and my partner were having this discussion abt sambucky at a pride parade.

obviously, bucky has never experienced this. and at first he kinda has to be dragged out to the event. it’s not that he doesn’t want to go, he just doesn’t really like being in crowded public spaces, yknow? but once he’s there, he flourishes. and there’s about a five second point where people think it’s some sort of political campaign— senator barnes for the lgbt youth and all that— but that conspiracy is shot down by the fact that oh my god he just kissed CAPTAIN AMERICA unprompted on the LIPS!!!

sam is, surprisingly, more hesitant than bucky overall. because bucky is so happy— he’s getting bracelets and some kid slapped a sticker on his arm when he said he was bisexual— and he’s kind of having the time of his life. he never thought he’d have the freedom to express himself like this, and now suddenly he is. and he loves learning about the flags and niche concepts because these are things that could’ve got you thrown in jail or accused of treason back in his day, and you’re telling him it’s okay now? he can kiss his boyfriend now? it’s okay?

sam, on the other hand, is scared. he’s constantly terrified of messing up his status as captain america, and he has this fear that if the general population find out that he’s queer it could put people he cares about in possible danger. but when he sees these people looking up to him, beaming at him, he remembers why he’s doing all this. sam hadn’t came out to close family until recently either, and bucky had sort of been the reason. bucky saw how progressive things were and was, with some hesitation, ready to admit things, but sam? he’s never understood himself. he’d bury himself in work or life and ignore his feelings, he told himself none of it was important. bucky changes that, but that’s a post for later.

and yeah, there’s negative publicity. of course there is. ex-winter soldier senator james barnes AND captain america? it’s a scandal! there’s harsh articles about how sam is “ruining” the title of cap, but there’s meaner ones, there’s ones saying bucky’s been “brainwashed by the left.”

bucky does not take that well at all.

in the end, the new senator ends up making a speech. he’s been queer since the last century and he’s not planning on changing. steve was queer, and he doesn’t say this to out him, but mostly because he refuses for these idiots to ruin steve’s legacy. sam is a little embrassed when his partner is gushing about how brave he is on national television, but he’s also a bit thankful, and bucky lets it be known to never call him brainwashed again, or anything of the sort.

Crazy that Double Beat is only in two episodes and like has no official art. Whole ass box-bot that faded into obscurity within the show. Why does he never attack the plaza? Few things make me or annoyed than the argument that Héra is not-like-other-girls or has no personality.

My girl’s first scene in the whole movie is her going on a camping trip with the end goal of throwing a leg of mutton at an eagle. Which, according to her, her older brother told her would get her ripped limb from limb. Her first response to a rabid oliphant is ‘huh. I know what could eat that!’ and then stays to watch it happen. Freca is right, this girl is feral and I love her for it.

As for the not like other girls… where? That tired moment of ‘why do i have to wear a dress, i wish i could just wear pants’ never happens. Fréaláf comments not on her clothes as being unusual but the fact that she’s managed to keep them free of mud. She’s been trained to fight, sure, but that doesn’t seem unusual for women of the royal family. Besides, you will never convince me that she wasn’t the kind of little sibling that insisted on doing everything Háma did for the first ten years of her life. She doesn’t want to get married. That’s it. Full stop.
