Mermaid Au?! I love those! I can hardly ever get enough of them! Is there any SunBug lore for the au??? 🍘anon

I actually am working on a bullet point write up for the main mermaid AU (which in itself has its own AU and then there is a separate mermaid AU). These AUs don't follow the mermaid/fishman canon of One Piece.

The first mermaid AU I wrote was mermaid Buggy pestering fisher Sunny who just wanted to catch some fish but instead caught an obnoxious mermaid in her net who further pestered her as they became friends. Eventually Buggy started bringing her pretty shells and rocks because she also fed him tasty food and gradually they caught feelings. Buggy wished to be with Sunny and (because who doesn't want a wishing star to fall) he gets his wish granted and gets legs and learns to live with Sunny on land.

The second one that is the AU of that has them meeting as kids. Buggy is a lil mermaid kiddo and Sunny helps her dad fish in the bay. Buggy is a lil brat but gets caught in Blue's net. Sunny and her dad free Buggy but in the chaos Sunny ends up in the water and Buggy, not being a body rotting in his waters, helps her to the surface. They become friends and Sunny's parents look after Buggy as well.

And the third one (or second?) is Sunny as a mermaid and Buggy being a pirate. She rescues him because he can't swim with his DF powers. There's animosity (he thinks she's a problem and she doesn't like pirates) but Buggy comes to see her as his mermaid and becomes protective of her. They are able to be together and have six very tall kids (Buggy comforting his 10 year old son who is taller than him and has a skinned knee lmao).

That's pretty much it. I had fun in a Discord server where I was unleashed in my own channel to type up a bunch of SunBug AUs. 🥹🥰

yk there's just something abt road not taken ej that changes my brain chemistry so i get you🤭🤭 imo euijoo is a shy bf so pda like kissing or hand-holding might not be something he usually initiates but he definitely shows how much he loves you by taking care of you just like you said!! things like buying you medicine when you're sick, covering you with a blanket when you fall asleep, bringing you a glass of water when you're studying without you even asking, always having bandaids with him in case you get hurt and much more acts of care rlly make you fall in love with him even more!

i feel like he's the type to sometimes put others before himself, especially the ppl he loves, so it makes you feel very special to see him take so much care of you. and you definitely return it, reminding that you also love him the same amount and are grateful for his acts that always make you feel lucky to have him in your life :))

*ichiban has given kotone a small box full of yet-to-be-released senbei! he needed to have them taste tested and thought it was the perfect opportunity to also make kotone happy~!*

*however... he's more than a little nervous worrying over if she actually likes them or not, the much taller man nervously peeking around the corner to make sure he didn't accidentally give her truly atrocious rice crackers! he even hides if she looks over to where he is, although despite his efforts, the edges of his lion's mane is still clearly visible...*

Kotone was naturally more than excited to try her uncle's newest senbei flabors! She was positive she was going to like them! "Alllrighty, let's try Uncle Ichi's new senbei~!" She hums as she opens the box. As she grabs one and is about to eat it, she catches the edges of his mane sticking out.

"!" She thought she had a feeling someone was watching... and now knowing it's him, she can't help but be amused as she pretends she sees nothing and looks back towards the box. He must be anxiously awaiting her reaction, she's sure...and so, as to not keep him waiting any longer, Kotone begins chowing down on the cracker.

"!!! Ohh!! Oh my god this is so good....I think I already have a new favorite flavor." And then she tries the next new one, then another, and then another! She loves all of them! "Yep, I'm definitely going to devour this whole box. All of these flavors are delicious!! Uncle Ichiban, you've really outdone yourself! I can't wait to tell him~!"

She says loud enough so that he can hear! She wants to reassure him that he's got nothing to worry about. He did just fine, as always~!

Yknow, Yuma is giving me the type of boyfriend who likes to cuddle.

Doesnt really care if hes the big or little spoon. If little spoon he’ll be shy to do it infront of his members, but if he really needs one he’ll do it.

The big spoon, I think he would feel like manly with it as yuma always called the maknae by the maknae line.

The position? I think his favorite (I dont remember the name) is that position where the little spoon is sleeping on the big spoon’s chest, goes in both ways. Or maybe the classic spooning, tbh he would like any position. But his favorite would be those 2.

Would love to be whisper/sing to sleep, he would melt if you play with his hair. His voice must’ve be so soothing too so when he sings it can help you fall asleep.

yuma absolutely loves cuddling, it doesn't matter where he is he just wants to hold you (or to be held by you) in his arms! i feel like he wouldn't be shy about asking you, even if he wants to be little spoon, but if you are shy to cuddle in public he'll definitely tease you a little bit before convincing you to do it. and you eventually say yes because you can't resist the thought of being in his warm embrace (or the other way around).

i feel like he'd definitely enjoy resting his head on your chest so he can hear your heartbeat as it's very calming, and he'd also like it if you rested on his chest so he can play with your hair. he likes to make conversation when you two cuddle, so he'd also like to hold you where he can see your face (and you can tangle your legs with each other). if you're feeling too tired to talk, he'll offer to sing for you!

yuma has a beautiful voice so you immediately agree when he asks to sing something for you. and he sings a song he knows you really like or a song you two have claimed as your own. his voice is so soothing and the way he holds you close to his chest is so calming that you can't help but fall asleep. he will definitely gush at your cute sleeping form and even take a few photos (which you'll ask him to delete but he'll still keep them) before falling asleep right after you.

cuddling with yuma is the best, you love it and he loves it too! if he's busy with work or he's feeling sad all you need to do is cuddle with him (and maybe play with his hair a bit and give him some compliments) and his stress goes away and he feels happy :))
