I'm sure I've mentioned it here once or twice, but I have a special hardness in my heart for "queer" groups that turn into beg-fests. I didn't join a networking group to see people with their hands out begging for money or supplies - sorry, "mutual aid" (that usually only goes one way).

I also have a certain hardness in my heart for people who are homeless or who have chosen to live in less-than-conventional ways but keep animals with them. That is absolutely unfair for an animal. There are resources for homeless people - are they great? Not always, and many of them have stringent requirements that make little sense, and we could always do better; big cities tend to have better resources, etc. - but I know that accommodating people with pets is definitely less possible than accommodating just people.

I understand that people love their pets and are willing to go to what I sometimes consider wildly bizarre levels to keep them, but if you are subjecting your animal to sleeping in the cold with you, to having less-than-enough food, you are a dick. Your pet deserves better. They did not choose you as an owner, they did not ask to be in those situations. They need to be housed, fed, and receive veterinary care. If you cannot do those things, it's time for the animal to live elsewhere.

I give you all of this backstory because one of the first posts to pop up for me on the book of faces was this

Okay, so, FTM individual who somehow can't get their Venmo name changed... had an extremely expensive sleeping bag (approximately $1000 worth of one) that they just... let get moldy. At that rate they should just head over to the thrift store, where they can get one for like $10... oh, but wait...

I can't risk it with used items. I can only take cash. And you should give me the cash in my preferred way so you can give me MORE.

"If you can't give me money, reminding me that I matter is also great!"

WTF. Why is it everyone else's responsibility to tell "queer" people that they matter, that they're valid, that everything isn't their fault, that it's cool that they always have their hand out for money.

I don't know why this bothers me so much, this money-grubbing... just that in every other community I'm a part of, minority groups especially, there's not this blanket carte blanche to wield one's individual identity for money at the slightest provocation. Parents mean? Help my "survival fund" so I can leave home and have a total mastectomy. School hard? Help me stage a protest so I can bring my ESA ferret to the dorm. Wind blow the wrong way? I need snacks and pronoun pins! Oh, and I'm greypansexual demigender sparkleboy with AuDHD and I only like to kiss on Tuesdays (damp/damper pronouns).

I'm a gender-free lesbian woman with actually diagnosed autism, a pantheon of mental illnesses, one very rare neurological condition, and a brand new autoimmune disorder that's been making my life hell. My sister's disabled, my college didn't give me any financial aid this term, and I can't afford a parking pass. Most of my friends live 900 miles away, I can't see my girlfriend as often as I'd like, and the library keeps sending me oppressive emails with titles like "Hey, it's time to return that book that you keep saying you're going to finish but are ignoring in favor of watching TV."

... wait, maybe this is easier.

This is really useful to know and fun to have someone to talk about it with!

The thing is for a long time I thought I did feel entirely female, and it’s only since I’ve started realising I might be autistic and beginning to unmask that I’ve been noticing more and more my desire to present more masc/androgynous. When I was a really little kid, I was quite adamantly not “girly”. I basically wore my Iron Man costume to every single non-uniform day in primary school and got super offended when other kids would tell me that “girls couldn’t be Tony Stark” (I was also hyperfixating on the Suffragettes and Feminist history at the time, which was definitely part of it). I had an almost exclusively male friendship group (who have all now been diagnosed/are in the process of being diagnosed with autism too). I also very much got a kick out of playing male characters in school plays/D&D as I got older.

I’ve thought about it some more and demigender definitely fits me for now, but I’m gonna keep exploring. I consider it an extension of my autistic traits as a lot of studies show the links between neurodivergence and gender identity and just the feeling of experiencing the word differently. I’ve always lived just outside of the boxes of society anyway.

Hi Fray! This might be a weird question and feel free to ignore if you’re not comfortable answering. So in your bio it says you’re a demiboy and I’m starting to question that I might be a demigirl?? I don’t feel gender dysphoria but I do feel gender envy for masc/androgynous people and I don’t think I identify with NB/Genderfluid identities but I don’t feel entirely female either? What’s your experience with it and is there any resources you’d recommend for doing any further research?

Thank you for asking this, actually! I know how hard it is to ask for help with things like this, but know that I'm always happy to help!

I have a similar experience to you, where I don't think I have dysphoria (though I don't think I can know without experiencing what it feels like for other people compared to me), but I've always felt gender envy, or at least noticed that i felt it around the time i was trying to figure out my identity. In my case, it's for androgynous people and specifically boys with long fluffy hair lol.

When I think about my identity as a demiboy, I more often than not think of it like I'm on a value scale, where, let's say, the lighter part is male, 50% is nb/androgynous and darker is female. I would place myself around the 35% mark of the scale, give or take. Like, I'm not fully masc, but I'm not fully androgynous either. Between them, I feel more connection to the androgynous part than the masc part, but not only is it still there, I still feel a connection to it.

I might have explained it a little weird tbh but that's my experience with it. I'm not really certain if there's a site or somewhere you can go to research, but I want you to remember that everyone has a different experience with their gender. What may feel like being a demiboy for me could feel like being nb for someone else, or agender, or genderfluid, or anything. I hope this helps! I'm excited to know the outcome, no matter what you decide your label is :3

Hello all!

apologies if this is a double of an unfinished post, my internet is going nuts right now.

I will apologize in advance for any rudeness you make take from this post, but i assure you i am trying to be as respectful as possible. I wanted to share my opinions on the TransID and Radqueer community.

I personally do not view any of these “identities” as valid, nor are they okay at all. You cannot identify as a different age, race, gender, or mental state. And for all you pedophiles out there that think you are okay, you arent. You are not a valid part of the queer community. Also, identifying as mentally ill or disabled when you are otherwise healthy is a sickening thing to do and it honestly feels insulting and nauseating to know that their are people who want these horrible things so badly. I myself am a diagnosed autistic and have been since childhood, and to see people saying that they “identify as autistic” is something i cant stand. You cant be a trans criminal. You are either a criminal or you are not, there is no “identification”. I truly hope that one day you find the help and social life that you need, but if it makes you feel any better you do most likely currently suffer from delirium and the disease we call “misinformation” has spread to you. Xenogenders are on really thin ice, but i can tolerate them as a form of creative expression.

I am just tired of misinformation being spread, and people spitting out lies confidently. I really dislike liars and people who are confidently wrong.

What’s an demigirl and demiboy? I knew the others but I didn’t understand these. I feel genderfluid but sometimes I feel more like another. I’m confused. Not asking to diagnose me or anything. Apologise for English.

You're English is good! I don't know if this is in response to a certain post as I don't remember talking about demigenders? But sure, I can explain then!

The word 'demi' means partially, like the word demigod means a being who is part-human part-god. So demi- means you feel partially or mostly like a certain gender, but not entirely. Your assigned birth gender does not affect what demi gender you identify as, e.g. someone assigned female at birth can identify as a demigirl and it doesn't mean they're 'mostly cis', they're still under the trans or non-binary umbrella. A demigirl may feel mostly like a girl and a little non-binary, or can feel mostly like a girl but not feel like any other specific gender. It doesn't have to be partially demigender and partially agender, it can be partially demigender and partially something you can't describe.

Demigender: Someone who feels partially or mostly like a particular gender, but not entirely.

Demigirl: Someone who feels partially or mostly female, but not entirely.

Demiboy: Someone who feels partially or mostly male, but not entirely.

Deminonbinary: Someone who feels partially or mostly non-binary, but not entirely. (Wow deminonbinary looks weird all typed out with no capitals or hypens)

Demiagender: Someone who feels partially or mostly agender, but not entirely.

You can absolutely be genderfluid and sometimes feel demigender, or switch between different demigenders. What makes genderfluid different is that it isn't static. I suppose really there's no way of knowing if you're not genderfluid and instead feel like a demiboy all the time until lots of time passes and you realise you don't switch anymore. But in theory a genderfluid person could be one gender for a whole year without switching, so it's hard to know when 'enough' time has passed. It's really just whatever label you like for you. If you want to call yourself a demiboy/demigirl for now and just see what happens, there's nothing wrong with that.

And being genderfluid can be confusing if you realise you maybe feel like a gender you haven't felt before, or you stay as one gender for a long time.

I used to worry I was 'faking' being genderfluid when I stayed as a trans man for a long time, and then worried I was 'faking' being trans when I stayed as a girl for a while. I know for a while I've been feeling more non-binary genders and I haven't been wanting to accept that as I was always either male or female and being anything else terrified me, terrifies me, but I'm trying to accept sometimes I feel non-binary or bigender or demiboy. I think honestly demiboy would be a good way to describe how I feel often at the moment, it's just... I don't know why I'm so scared to say I'm anything other than male or female, maybe... Ugh, I don't know.

Just a brief reminder & some rules for those who follow us, & for new followers:

- We are a multiplicity system - many people in one body/mind. We are medically confirmed, which means a licensed psychologist said in their professional opinion they agreed with our 3 years ago self diagnosis that we are a system. We are not professionally diagnosed & never plan to be.

- No it's not like Split/Glass. No we are not like The Crowded Room. Persecutors are not evil. Poor representation in fiction exists, especially for entertainment purposes. Films do not reflect real life, even if it says it's “based on a true story”.

- We are traumagenic. No, you can't ask what we've been through (we won't post it most of the time & won't share in DMs with just anyone either). If we decide to share, we do it because we trust you (or genuinely want to trust you) & because we chose to.

- We are neutral in the endo debate. Whether you're supportive, against, or identify as endogenic, you're safe here. Don't start arguments or debates on our posts, & don't attack any systems (endo or supporter) on our posts; we will block you.

- Our body is 22 years old. Our headmates vary from little kids (littles) to 9 billion years old (Michael is an archangel & a fictive 🤷‍♂️) and across many ages inbetween, & some are ageless (no age at all), but our body is a legal adult. If you are underage but wish to interact, let us know & we'll work out some boundaries. There are topics we won't discuss & boundaries we'll set, & we'll respond to your requests & boundaries as well.

- We are polyfragmented. Last time Stephen (The Counter - because yes we have a role for that 🤷‍♂️ he's essentially a soother) gave us a headcount, we were somewhere around 721 people (we've had at least 3 splits since then). As far as we can remember, roughly 20 front regularly & others will come & go. We also have multiple subsystems who may run our life when the main system is overwhelmed; this might mean we go quiet or they post something you wouldn't expect from the main system.

- Our body is white, AFAB, 5'11", walking cane user (& potential future ambulatory wheelchair user), & chronically ill; our brain is neurodivergent (ADHD & autism), & mentally ill. That's the lens many of our posts come from & will continue to come from—but we are actively working to be antiracist & informed, & to keep intersectionality in mind in our day to day life. We may not always succeed, but we are learning.

- We overall are masculine nonbinary & use he/they collectively, but some headmates are transmen (he/him), agender (they/them only), demigender, or questioning. We'll try to always tag pronouns of everyone speaking in our posts.

- We were born & raised in the United States. We've only ever lived in the Pacific Northwest, but hope to eventually travel & see the rest of the country.

- We don't tolerate transphobia, homophobia, LGBT+ phobia/hate, aphobia (anti as-xual, anti aromantic, anti aspec), racism, ableism, or anything hateful on our page. You will be blocked if you interact with hate, &/or if you attack any of our followers.

- We are healing towards functional multiplicity. If you believe final fusion (becoming a singlet without headmates) is the only answer or even a “cure” for systems, please don't interact.

- This is a personal blog. We post about our life, our healing journey, etc. We sometimes answer questions about terms, definitions, etc. but overall this is our safe space to be openly ourselves. We aren't catering to others. If you like our content & want to come along for the ride as we heal in our own way, you're welcome to.

- We have a couple published books, currently on Amazon (because every other place charges ridiculous amounts or at least more than we can afford right now & KDP/Amazon is free). Reflect With Us & Grow With Us (by Void Galaxy) are poem & Creative Nonfiction (CNF) collections - pieces we've written from 2013 to 2020. We have a third CNF+ poem collection, Escape With Us (2020 - now), but it won't be complete until we move out (escaping our traumatic environment). You can help support us by buying those, but if you just want to read about our experience discovering our trauma & systemhood, we have both on Google Docs & are willing to share if you ask (don't demand though). We also have a short story, The Final Symptom, that we intend to publish - but be warned it's about depression & unaliving oneself (reframing unalive as a symptom of depression) & can be very heavy.

- We are currently saving for a car. We are (tentatively) employed at minimum wage, but at most we'll have roughly $2,000 to $2,500 if we're lucky to spend on insurance, a car, repairs, AND license plate/registration & fees. We plan to attempt to purchase a car March 19th or 20th ish despite that, because a car is our next step to moving out & will give us increased freedom & increased work options. A good quality used car that doesn't need repairs is typically around $5,000 in our area, & we've been told the package of insurance we'd need will be roughly $1500 to $2000 by itself, & registration is around $100 + taxes & fees. We can make do for now, & may be able to get a junky car repaired to run temporarily, but if we can get ~$6,000 to ~$7,500 to get an actually good car we could move out with, that would be a huge step. We don't like to ask for favors, so we can do tarot readings, digital drawings, & potentially poems in response if you send any money. The best method to send help (if you can do so without financially harming yourself) that we can hide from our unsafe household would be Ca$h App, which is $StardustVoidGalaxy. One way or another, we can save up over the next year or so to make it happen, but help is appreciated if you're able.

- We are polytheistic pagan, & currently follow Greek & Norse pantheons (we're beginning to learn more about the Norse pantheon, & thus far have only interacted with Loki, Thor, Odin, & Tyr (if you know more &/or have suggestions of reputable sources to learn more, ¡we'd love to hear! (/genuine)); we're aware of the darker stories & original versions of many Greek myths, & we engage consciously with the lore & our deities). We have a mini altar & plan to have a bigger one later (when we live in a safer place). If you find that bad or offensive &/or want to convert us, please don't interact.

- We're an author / creative writer, a singer, an artist, a poet, & overall a creative oriented person. We may not be perfect at all creative pursuits, but we enjoy them & that's what matters.

- ¡We use tone tags! ¡ & ¿ indicate exclamations & questions, /genuine means we aren't being sarcastic, joking, etc., /gentle & /nm & /not angry are used to assure others we aren't angry or judgemental & are speaking gently to you, & we also use a few common ones (/hj or /half joking, /j or /joking (or /joke), /sarc or /sarcasm) & we'll write out the rest (example - /amused at myself). You're allowed to ask what the tone tags mean. We struggle to read tone, especially in writing, so we use tags for ourselves & people like us to know what we intended/meant.

- If we remember, we may put who was speaking/fronting in the tags so you can scroll through & see all posts from that headmate. We don't always remember, & some people only fronted long enough to post once, but ¡you'll still see quite a few of us posting frequently!

- ¡You're allowed to send us asks! This includes anon asks, & questions about systemhood that may feel “dumb” to ask. We'd rather you ask & hear it from us than be afraid to ask & stumble across stigma & misinformation.

- You're allowed to DM us. We may not always be available to reply, but we don't mind messages.

Pd: posted on 1 of july : another year i could not finish in time ,did better than other years but still, was a super bosy month for me , having many events in my home , with my little brother recovering from appendicitis, my father diagnosed with covid, we had to be in home for 2 weeks of quarantine, i also took a few days because as in my country(chile ) the vaccine was due to age, my turn came and I felt a little bad for a few days(just had a bit of fever and arm pain ) so theres all that in one month ,i ll finish all drawings and try to post as soon i can 💞💙💜 hope you all liked my

well, now’s a good a time as any to reveal my gender/sexuality headcanons for the pilots! just a forewarning i am trans and nonbinary and i headcanon all the pilots as trans because i like to do that. thank you. also any mental illnesses or disorders mentioned are things i have, so i have ifrsthand experience with them. it’s kinda long so i’ve put it all under the cut!

HEERO

i think he’s trans and nonbinary (likely agender or demigender), and uses they/them alongside he/him! i also headcanon him as bisexual. i think he has c-ptsd and he coped with his experiences unhealthily ( dissociating, most often, and that’s pretty clear to me throughout all of wing ). this boy needs therapy. terribly. he’s an extremely adept learner, so it’s hard to catch him being bad at something before he gets the hang of it.

DUO

this boy is trans and uses he/him! he’s also bisexual. i, as an adhd aficionado ( i am diagnosed ), also diagnose duo with adhd and ptsd. he’s ambidextrous and needs toys to fidget with or he’ll explode ( like the chatterbox he is ). HUGE fan of cats. gives dumb names to every animal he sees. as fantastic of an engineer as he is, his office/desk is piled up with little knick-knacks that he built in his off time.

TROWA

trowa is trans and identifies as a boy, but uses any and all pronouns. he prefers the standard he/she/they but honestly it’s whatever to him. also he’s gay! trowa also has ptsd and after he recovered his memories, he still suffers from bouts of amnesia / memory loss. i diagnose him with adhd ( inattentive type ) because to me, trowa tends to keep all of his thoughts on the inside instead of speaking aloud, and that’s pretty in line with my experiences.

QUATRE

another one in the “trans” checkbox! uses he/him, and he’s gay. guess what! he also has ptsd. the zero system also fucked with his perception of himself. he paces when he gets anxious. he shares a sibling-like bond with relena. a lover of “unusual” pets / companions ( ex: snakes, hedgehogs, ferrets, etc ). he tends to use silly phrases like “cat on a hot tin roof” to express his emotions.

WUFEI

trans and nonbinary ( bigender ). uses he/xe pronouns. also i can’t decide whether i headcanon him as gay or bisexual ( i’m heavily leaning towards gay, though ). he has ptsd and bipolar disorder. he’s also maybe not-so-surprisingly skilled at tying peoples’ hair up ( including braiding it ), but with that skill comes his tendency to tie it up way too tightly to the point of discomfort.

quatre ends up adapting duo’s speech mannerisms, picking up weird phrases he says and starting to laugh like him. upon growing up, quatre grows taller than duo ( not by much, but just enough to see a clear difference ). they’re definitely the type to share lovesick glances in public spaces when they think they’re being discreet ( they’re not ). out of all the other pilots, duo prefers that quatre braid his hair, just because he likes how gentle his touch is ( the loving compliments aren’t bad either ). i’m running out of brain power... so i think i’ll leave it at thatLOL
