❀ storytelling time

a tale from the cherry blossom tree, for the wonderful @rkgray​ !

writing and composing isn’t exactly a new art to sakura but there’s still lots of room for improvements for her. there’s a lot of creativity flowing within her flare but she can’t seem to find the right pieces of the puzzle to complete her mission: perfecting a song for this month’s evaluations. of course, she can’t tackle this kind of project all by herself. she’s not one to endure a burden all by herself so it’s best to ask a sunbaenim that has much more experience than she does. she knows at the bottom of her heart that she can confide to gray.

he’s been there for her in her time of needs when it wasn’t easy to fuel in ideas and whatnot.

truthfully, she couldn’t express her gratitude enough towards the elder. she’s lucky to have someone like him in her life as she’d remain a lost puppy in the dungeon without some sort of support. she doesn’t want to disappoint her coaches either since sakura’s quite a people-pleaser ( much to her dismay, she still doesn’t like to admit those specific words, verbatim ). failure isn’t an option at all.

trainee starter for @rkxsnn ! ( tw: bullies! )

the first day of training, sakura finds herself lost in the middle of everything. she doesn’t have anyone to sit with during cafeteria and it seems that she can’t find any of her friends to pester and sit down with her, eating a nice meal. she still prefers her healthy daily bentos that she always makes for meal preps on the daily. she’s a friendly individual but it doesn’t feel right not having anyone by her side. she’s used to having people around. it feels weird, being a trainee and realising that she’s made it this far.

her eyes look down on the table, picking up her chopsticks as she eats a piece of tamago all by herself. that is, until a posse of girls, trainees that are without a doubt, have been here for awhile. they must be high in seniority. being the usual friendly gal she is, she greets the girls with a smile but the girls respond with snarky grins with nothing nice to say. 

“oh you’re that miya-whatever sakura girl? what are you doing here?”

and all she can hear is the sinister laughter. how are some people so heartless?

❀ feels like forever

it feels like years since she’s encountered solji face-to-face. sakura can’t help but worry about the elder’s health, considering the difficult pace she’s been with her work. “i hope you’re okay in regards to your health.” sakura doesn’t hesitate to bring up the topic to light as it’s too important to simply disregard. her expression is simply concerned, eyebrows knitted together in anguish. it kills her not to see her friends for such a long amount of time because she longs for her presence. she’s clung on to solji as if she was an older sister figure.

“but i’m glad you’re here is all.” then she presents the elder with a soft smile, she truly isn’t one to be fond of making such vigorous faces in any time of the moment. she was such a sucker for smiles and giving them, exchanging as well. “so tell me all about you, nee-chan. how’s everything been treating you?” deep down, her gut only wants to receive nothing but good news from solji.

not having communication was the hardest part. on the other hand, she’s just grateful that she gets to have some sort of freedom with solji in the form of a sleepover hangout.

❀ makeup 101

makeup appliances didn’t make sense to sakura, she’s been watching tutorials to test on her face. but it’s a different story when she realises that she’s offered to help seokjin when she has clumsy hands and could mess up the eyeliner. she isn’t the greatest when it comes to putting on blush, eyeshadow, or any makeup on another person. she might’ve had opportunities in the past to do it on her other friends but she simply couldn’t create the art they’d ask for.

“are you sure you want me to do this?” she tilts her head in the other direction, eyes locked on her friends with eyebrows knitted together in inquisitiveness. “i make people look like a clown!” she giggles softly at her joke. “i think you might be better than me at this, seokjin-chan!” she never seems to drop the use of honorifics as it’s embedded in her personality already.

sakura considers johnny a good friend but she also has to consider that he’s been training longer than she has. it’s different, addressing those who are not much older than she is. “hey you there!” her eyes are locked on the male as she waves her hand saying a hello excitedly. “is it okay if you can take this flyer?” she usually talks to him in english, finding that using this language is much easier than hangul. “they’ve been asking me to give this all around. seems like i can’t get it out of my hands..” she sighs softly then curves her lips into a small smile, chuckling lightly.

it’s not shocking to see the brunette walk around seoul passing out pieces of paper that promote her company’s status figures and image. sakura didn’t think it would be too much of an issue. she didn’t have a difficult time engaging in conversations with other people because of her social butterfly skills. this meant idols too and she’d witness them enter the seocho building ( but only once in a blue moon ). jinwook, a member of convex is right in front of her sight! “hello there sunbaenim!” she bows her head politely because that’s the best gesture to show her respect. “is it okay if i pass you this flyer.. with my signature on it?” she sounded silly but she could only giggle at her corny statement.

❀ it’s everland, not disneyland

amusement parks are surely exciting, especially attending it with one of her few favourite people in this world, tzuyu. sakura finds joy being around the presence of tzuyu. smiles are often traded fairly with some soft tales of doting on one another and affections. naturally, sakura’s big-hearted and caring, so she displays tendencies of love to her friends by showing her appreciation. she decided to buy two everland tickets way back. out of all days is when she finds her schedule slots free of school or any of her biomarine volunteer work at the aquarium.

this was the least she can do for tzuyu, take her on an adventure as a birthday gift, “are you excited? i can’t wait to go inside!” her eyes crease into an eyesmile, lips pulling into a grin as she jumps up and down excitedly once they’re getting closer to the entrance as the line is dying out quickly. “this is going to be the best day ever with you” but, that’s the thing, days were never ever boring around the other girl.

“i love being around you, birthday princess. did you know that?” she conveys to her best friend openly as her hands open the brochure of the map of the park. she wasn’t sure where to head first, “all of these rides seem like fun!” however, she didn’t have to worry about being out for too long as this was an all-day event. her curfew was nonexistent, so she could come home way later if need be.

sakura didn’t liked how the results turned out, she wanted to secure the victory with those close to her by her side but sometimes, even that is out of her control. she didn’t hold the string puppets to dictate the show, but she still wants to let mason know that she’ll spend time with him regardless of the circumstances with her busy schedule. if someone wanted to make time, excuses truly shouldn’t be made. “oniisan, kt has me passing out there posters.. it’s kind of weird.” she complains in english, australian accent clear and sharp. her signature’s on the paper marked and the date, her fingers slip it closer to the male as she sips her tea. “it’s pretty silly actually.” she laughs lightheartedly.

❀ guidance

trainee starter for @rkgray​ !

the first day of training isn’t so lonely because she has friends that are there for her. but, she’s lost in such an enormous building. sakura’s never stepped foot in seocho, having the full exploration of the campus. she knew that the big five have money but not like this. everything’s so luxurious in terms of the budget for the equipment and architect. her eyes are widened the whole time as gray plays tour guide. “i don’t know, oniisama. isn’t everything so big here?” she’s scanning as she’s being led to several different training rooms and the cafeteria.

she’s almost intimidated by everything here except the few faces that she’s already familiar with. there are other people she has to greet just yet but it’s best to take things slow when she’s adjusting to this kind of new environment. never did in her life would she imagine signing her soul away to a contract for two years. gray’s been here for longer, she doesn’t know how some trainees endure the countless of training, unknowingly living with the fact that they may debut or not.

“how do you do all this? it seems so scary...” sakura furrows her brows together in disconcertment, her orbs scanning the area as she continues picking up her tracks right beside gray.

❀ relief talk

it’s all over. episode two done for the day. results were heard. everyone’s going home now, bodies decreasing by the minute in the room she’s in.

initially, she was supposed to stop by a takeout restaurant to grab some food before she left the mnet building. sakura’s not one to be hangry as the mood rarely comes to her but it’s starting to reach that point. but, she still hasn’t as she’d rather spend her time with ryujin to check up on her good friend. she’s proud of her friend for coming up and striving in the stage despite all the heated pressure intensifying within the show.

if anything, sakura doesn’t intend to make an enemy out of anyone. she’s made this feeling crystal clear from what she’s stated in her interviews. worried, she conveys her fear to ryujin. “i don’t want to make an enemy on her here, ryujin! especially not you.” she juts her lip out, pouting in a cute but also devastated manner. “you’re precious to me, ryujin!” she brings the other girl into a brief hug then sits down next to ryujin on the bench.

“how do you feel about everything so far?” there are a lot of emotions sakura’s experiencing as well but she wants to hear attentively what ryujin has to say first. “it’s a little nerve-wrecking, it seems..” a distressed sigh escapes from her pink lips. the solution is not to pay attention to her anxiety eating her up but it’s difficult not to when the lights, camera, and action is every week! she had to live up to an expectation to pass it through if she wants to see a good result.

❀ cute spikes

animals are her ultimate weakness, sakura has never had a hedgehog but she’s all about it ever since she’s met dongmin. she’s set her piles of paperwork for her project aside, focusing on a more important task was hanging out with her good friend. “does it hurt to ever touch their spikes?” a brow is raised in sheer curiosity. she could look up the source online but feels that it’s more genuine when experimenting or directly asking questions to the owner is the better solution. 

“haru... is his name.. right?” she doesn’t want to butcher the pronunciation but saying the word wasn’t exactly on a difficult level. “is it okay if i pet him? would he be mad?” she had no intention of disrupting the animal from its sleep, considering that the small creature wasn’t getting up but laying down in one place. 

“it looks like he’s asleep though.” she squints her eyes (only cause she forgot to bring her glasses and doesn’t have her contacts with her for the time being), looking closer at the tiny thing.

TRIPLE THREAT CHALLENGE 2!

the first plan was she would endure the whole day by doing her homework, rearranging her room, and finding a list to check off that involved her chores as she’s been slacking recently. sakura being hit with exams didn’t help her with the amount of sleep she was (supposedly) getting, slumber was short for the past few days. she didn’t seem one to take stress easily but that didn’t halt the bright, shining smiles on her face as the spring’s come by.

this meant a new season, a different chapter of her life. she’s still containing some doubts about her abilities when it comes to the music industry as she’s not too perfect in any aspect. dancing, singing, rapping, and charisma; she couldn’t perfect it all but it wasn’t like she explored her soul fully. it seems that rapping is her affinity to the core but she still finds pleasure in the beauty of singing and the free flow of dancing. besides, this is for fun as she’s never had the intent to sign her soul away to the dungeon and deduct the freedom and time of her life she already has.

truthfully, sakura cherished the life she lived now which seemed simpler than the draining high school days. she couldn’t ask for anything more or anything less. with an amazing environment and a roommate that she knows to the roots, a source of her childhood--there’s a reason for her to leave this wonderful city of seoul despite the business which is only the beating heart of it. seoul is like tokyo, an essence to the homeland.

the right gift was presented to her eyes, the trc challenge that she wanted to take part in. for this occasion, she didn’t mind skipping her long day nap and tending to her excitements as she’s been eyeing on trc. if rejection occurs, it’s not like she had expected herself to ultimately get through the stage. she’s still shy in her abilities even though she’s been reminded by others that she has some serious talent. regardless, she doesn’t see it as a tiresome errand to take her route to the building.

once she’s in, she goes through the waiting progress as it was a long wait until her turn was up. it feels that singing and rapping in english seems to give her more confidence than if she was to tune to korean. she knows that korea’s a weakness, which she needs to work on more. she’ll get there someday in the place she needs to be with her linguistic ties to south korea.

her vocals aren’t as impressive as the original singer, ariana grande and jessie j, who both got some legit belting skills but sakura’s on the level where she can hold a sweet melody with her soft voice. she has some anxiety filling in but that doesn’t stop her body moving to the rhythm and her rap following a decent flow. she’s practised this back then, many times, out of random when she wanted to sing to karaoke. problem was her favourite, she’d only needed to prepare a dance for this.

time moves so swiftly, she got lost into the world of music and expresses her gratitude for being allowed to step into the trc building. then, it’s suffocating her face with loads of textbooks and notes that she has to remember for her upcoming exam! oh, college student duties. and then there’s the visit that she has to make for the aquarium as a volunteer.

it seems that these days she rarely has time to be out and about in the heart of the city, playing as a wanderer in the massive yet crowded spaces is still one of her favourite past times. sakura finds serenity in the beautiful sights of the cafes that she passes by and the antique boutiques in the shopping district. she needed to buy a formal dress for her parent’s next business trip since she’ll be meeting up with them within the next week. it doesn’t take her long to find a job that she likes. once she enters, she prepares to speak in a precise flow of korean to the stranger who didn’t look like he’d bite. “is it okay if you may take this flyer? thank you so much!” the sheet of paper’s folded into a triangular piece to save space.

sakura rarely saw yerim these days. a friendship that she once kept to heart ( and still does to this very day ) but cannot talk to her on a daily basis due to busy agendas and trails of the past. though, it seems that she’ll be seeing her more around the seocho building. “hey there!” she tries to put on a smile the best she can, even though it’s a forced one. “they have me sending out these flyers for some odd reason..” she’s folded the papers in triangular shapes as it’s easy to manage than stuffing her whole backpack with the full sheets. “would you like to take one?”

sakura still has a difficult time adjusting to the seocho building due to its massive size. there’s still so much she has to learn about being a trainee. it’s a period of adjustment for her, realising that she doesn’t have a lot of free slots in her schedule anymore. but, rarely does she see members of eclipse in the kt practise room! “oh my!” her eyes widened, jaw agape in shock as she can’t believe who was in front of her sight. yeri from eclipse! “oh wow, sunbaenim! hi there!” she has to stay with the guidelines so she doesn’t ruin her reputation, sakura presents herself with a polite bow and a piece of paper folded into a triangular shape which is a kt flyer with her signature on it. “please take this if you can, i have to do this flyer thingy! thank you so much, yeri-sunbaenim!” the honourific doesn’t drop from her tongue, she still has a lot to work with her korean but she’ll get there.

the weather today is breezy, but not in high winds but rather soft ones that mesh with the perfection of the bright sun. there’s no overcast either, sakura is a sucker for nice weather. it doesn’t come too often in seoul as it’s too humid but she dealt with all that back when she resided in japan. she hums softly to herself, prancing around and giving strangers flyers. she stops a boy who seems to be minding his own business but sakura pesters him anyway, “hi i’m sorry for bothering you!” she gives a polite bow briefly before handing over the paper. “please take this if you can! it’s a kt flyer.” she doesn’t like forcing anything on others, so she couldn’t blame him if he didn’t want to take it.
