Kaito and Kazuichi: contradicting stories.

Kazuichi confessed to Zoey that when she was like 9 (which would make Kaito 13), she convinced Kaito that there was a ghost in the house, knowing how scared he was of them, and Kaito wouldnt come back in even when it got dark and started raining. She saw him trying to sleep in the big dog house they had outside (the dog was asleep in the kitchen). Kazuichi felt bad but she was too afraid Kaito would get mad if she told him the truth, so she brought pillows and a blanket and they both slept in the doghouse. To this day, Kazuichi doesnt know if Kaito knows the truth or not.

Zoey feels like he must have figured it out at some point, but curiousity gets the better of her. She later goes to Kaito and mentions this story, excluding Kazuichi taking the blame for the "ghost". Kaito says that he remembers that but Kazuichi got some details wrong: that Kaz was 6 and Kaito was 10, and that something (he implied it maybe wasnt a ghost, but seemed too disturbed to say what it was) made it bad to sleep in the house, and that *he* rescued both of them, grabbing a bunch of pillows and a blanket and made both of them sleep in the doghouse even when Kazuichi whined that they should go back in. It was already dark, but hadnt started raining until after they were in the doghouse and already starting to fall asleep.

Zoey wondered which story was right. She knew Kaz wouldnt lie to her, but it's possible that Kazuichi remembered the details wrong and blamed herself. Zoey would probably end up believing Kazuichi, but Kaito gave them ages that seemed more believable, but Kazuichi seemed to at least believe she did something wrong when she was younger and felt genuinely guilty? But what if it wasnt really ghosts or pranks that scared the kids? I mean, how would two kids leave the house and sleep in the doghouse without somebody bringing them back in?

It's not that I don't want to believe that aang was a bad parent or favored tenzin. It's just I cant expected them to want me to believe that aang wouldn't have sent bumi to get trained by sokka or suki bumi lived his whole live being a non bender and you want me to accept that if aang would accept it that any member of the gang would intervene as train him or say I'm proud of you not even his momma she would not let aang act like that. Zuko literally was a master with swords and sokka and suki are self explanatory send him to one of them. Last thing this was very prevalent in atla but we saw the exchange of bending form and techniques form nation to nation especially by iroh why wouldnt aang teach all his kids about air bending despite not being a air bender themselves.
