"Stop rocking the boat, Ren." Without sparing a glance in his direction, you continue to stare out into the vast, open lake. "You'll scare away all the fish."

Had you turned around, you would've seen the faux-deadpan look on his face as Ren takes in the irony of your words. As if to prove a point, he gently swishes his tail in the water, which causes small ripples to form and (eventually) disturb your bobber. "I don't think the boat is the problem here."

"Okay, how about this... One more fish, then we can go back." You finally look back at your scaley companion — who was still leaning against the edge of your tin boat with a lazy smile — and give him a resolute nod. "Promise."

"Sure," Ren casually reaches into the boat to pick and pluck at some of your live bait. "But you said that about the last three fish."

"This will be the last one. I swear."

"You... swear?" You try to ignore the way Ren swallows up one of your minnows as if you weren't using them for bait as he continues to speak, "Like... curse words? Humans sure are weird creatures."

As if realising his comment, Ren's ocean-blue eyes widen slightly and shift towards your form. "N-Not... Not you, though."

With a laugh, you playfully try to nudge him off of the boat. All it does is cause it to tip slightly, but Ren steadies it when you show signs of losing balance.

"Alright. One more fish, then?"

You nod and cast your attention back to your rod once more. You don't even notice the silence — nor Ren slipping away — until you suddenly feel a tug on your line and call out to your companion in excitement. "That was quick!"

Quickly reeling it in, you wonder what kind of fish you'd just caught — it's definitely stronger than you anticipated, given how the rod drastically bends and snaps at every movement from the fish. And just as you see the shadow from the murky depths get closer, the ripples get bigger and cause a stir underneath your tin boat. Standing up now, you try with all your might to reel it on board...

...Only for a mess of black hair to emerge from below and peer up at you with a smug look.

"Ren!"

"Looks like you got a big one."

"C'moooon." You practically whine, though you allow Ren to haul himself into your tiny boat and rest his head in your lap. You can still feel his body shake from underneath your touch, no doubt still laughing at his poor attempt at a joke. "This doesn't count."

A beat passes before your fishy companion responds. "...Hm? Fine then."

Another moment of silence follows before he slithers back into the water without another word. Half of you worries that you might've said something to offend him (there was still the tiniest hint of a language barrier between you two). Still, it ultimately leads to nothing as Ren soon emerges once more — only this time, he's hauling the biggest largemouth bass you'd ever seen into your boat.

"This good enough?" He looks at you with wide, blue eyes. "If not, I can probably find a sturgeon and—"

"It's bigger than my boat!"

"Is this what your kind calls... exaggeration? Because your boat is big enough even for me to—"

"—Arghh! It's getting water everywhere! Put it back!"

It was almost comical how Ren tossed the fish over his shoulder and back into the water without breaking eye contact with you.

Another wave of silence hits, yet neither of you seems to move or break the awkward staring contest you'd somehow started. It's then when you notice Ren's grin get bigger — most likely at your resignation and embarrassment — which causes you to fall back into your seat in defeat.

"Fine. Enough fishing for today. Let's head back." Busying yourself with the bucket of fish and tacklebox in front of you, you secure your gear and pack everything away. But it seems Ren had other plans, seeing as he took it upon himself to climb back into your boat and rest his arms on your legs. No longer able to move as freely, you have no choice but to indulge in his carefree whims.

"But you caught me. Aren't you going to bring me home too?"

"As much as I want to," Truly, you do. You've always wanted to show Ren the world outside of Lake Bluemoss. "There's no way I'm carrying you all the way down the mountain."

"You never know until you cry."

"Try." You correct him. "Until you try."

"Your kind sure are funny." Ren nuzzles himself closer. "Perhaps another time, then... Stay here tonight."

Your body pricks up at his words, and you spare a glance at the abandoned boathouse near the dock. Despite its rough and rugged exterior, you and Ren actually made it quite comfy. It had some of your old blankets and sheets thrown over one of the boats to make it comfortable to lounge in — alongside a giant empty tank that you and Ren filled with water for him to sit in as well. Despite the lack of human traction, the place still felt homey and well-loved.

"...I guess I could."

"Then what are we waiting shore?"

You had to roll your eyes at his attempt at a pun.

helloo!! using this ask to answer everyone who’s been asking for my wellbeing these past two weeks! i’ve been doing alright!!

ramadan this year was just a little more tiring that usual and i didn’t really have the motivation to go and answer my inbox these past few weeks so that would explain my inactivity lol 😅🥲 (so sorry for those who sent in asks 😭)

but that doesn’t mean i haven’t been thinking about undoing fate and batfam feb (if we can call it that still 💀 it’s almost april oh my days)

that being said, i officially won’t be back until april at best, it’s exam season again and i totally flopped my H2 chem paper (fucking hate organic chem so much)

i’ve already drafted all of the works i planned to post during batfam feb, but some are still not finished yet—i’m planning to multi drop them when i’m freed from the shackles of exams 😭😓

and undoing fate chapter 8 and 9 (yes 9 🙂‍↕️) will be dropping sometime in april (mid april latest)

was super hyped for invincible season 3 and i loved every bit of it (rexsplode you will be missed dearly—it should have been immortal 💀) and i absolutely loved marks black and blue suit (we gotta love our graysons and their redheads 🥰🤗)

and because i kinda got back into my invincible hyperfixation, i can’t help but think of regressor! sister grayson—you’re a year younger than mark here(but technically i wouldn’t call this version a regressor, just someone who regressed once and used it to her full advantage) and have been exploiting my sideblog to test it out a bit… (these are privated lol)

got the motivation when i rewatched season two and remembered angstrom mentioning how in quite a few dimensions, debbie joined nolan and mark in their conquering, so take it that in her first life, she came from such a dimension, but when she regressed, she found herself in the current dimension that we know of… somewhat.

i completely understand if yall think this is probably more of an oc than a x reader type but yes this was kind of self-indulgent and still a wip lol

that being said, i also made some other platonic aus—if there is a batsis au, there must be a supersis au too! 🤭

probably won’t be a series, just some fluff works surrounding this au lol

Xiu this is not a request, but could you share some tid bits about rafayel and coral? like besides their little ritual, how are they like? does coral prefer mom or dad? does raf squish his baby's cheeks and says he loves him more than anything hahaha i'm scarred from the myth. 👉👈

☆-— Rafayel and MC have long continued their evening walks together along the beach, and even more so during her pregnancy. They've cherished this time together as their last moments as just the two of them before they become a family of three.

☆-— Rafayel keeps a sketchbook full of memories of these moments he had sketched and drawn quickly. He's also painted portraits of MC throughout her pregnancy, immortalizing her beauty as she carries their child.

☆-— He highlights all of her insecurities about her body changes and shows her the beauty that he sees.

☆-— He worships her, submits to her, and marvels every part of her body, lavishing her with plentiful praises.

☆-— He sings to her throughout her pregnancy in Lemurian, and when MC points out how the baby seems calmed by his voice, Rafayel gets a little embarrassed, ears tinging red, but he smiles, pleased, asking "Oh really?"

☆-— "If my little fishie likes my voice, then that means I have to sing to him every night, right?"

☆-— When their baby is born, they realize little Coral is the treasure they've been waiting for. He is a perfect blend of them both, but they each insist he looks more like the other parent.

☆-— Their evening walks continue, but this time with baby Coral joining them, even as a newborn.

☆-— They would walk along the beach close to sunset with baby Coral asleep in Rafayel or MC's arms. Sometimes Rafayel would even play the harmonica, saying someday he would teach all of these things to Coral.

☆-— Rafayel does like squeezing Coral's cheeks and Coral would always smile back confused before he laughs and babbles happily when his father kisses his forehead.

☆-— Coral is Rafayel's precious little "freeloading fishie."

☆-— He lovingly remarks what a lucky little [freeloading] fishie Coral is. He has a roof over his head, endless supply of milk from Mommy's pretty boobies (MC: RAFAYELLLL 🥺🥺🥺), and is loved and adored by many people already, including Uncle Thomas and Aunt Talia.

☆-— Rafayel would make a little plaque, give the "artwork" a title, and take a picture to send to Uncle Thomas, saying he better not plan on retiring any time soon since Rafayel has just discovered a new artist who will need an agent.

☆-— Truthfully, it's all in good fun. Rafayel doesn't actually want to push or influence Coral's future, but he is pleased to see his son taking interest in Rafayel's own interests. He will cultivate his son's interests, but never pressure him to pursue anything he doesn't want to.

☆-— As it turns out, Coral grows up liking many of the things Rafayel does, but he shows even more enthusiasm in trying new things.

☆-— But he also grows up being very fond of cats, especially strays he and his mom would care for behind Rafayel's back. Rafayel still has no idea his son likes cats.

☆-— Coral's favorite memories are the ones where his father would make little fireworks on the beach at night.

☆-— Coral loves both parents equally, and doesn't favor one over the other. He loves spending time with his mom and helping her take care of stray cats, but he also loves painting with his father.

☆-— However, Coral likes it the most when he has both parents together, taking him to museums, to play kitty cards, going out to eat, or just simply their evening ritual of walking along the beach.

☆-— Coral has a lot of love to give, and he wants you to know he loves you, and he hopes you love him, too. 🩷💜

I contemplated for a while about sharing this, but since a lot of you have been a great help while I was in dire needs, I feel like I owe you guys some updates regarding to my sick kittens.

(tw: pet grief, pet d**th, sick kittens)

When I first posted my past announcement, I had one of my foster cats (adult) in the process of recovering from a cat flu, one kitten who passed from a virus outbreak, one kitten dealing with a fever, and two kittens fighting bacterial infections and possible virus infection that they may have contracted from their brother.

Ever since your donations and help, I've managed to order more meds, buy a home nebulizer kit (plus all the necessary meds and liquids to go with it), and take Mai to a different vet for further consultation when the first meds didn't help and had instead made her condition worse.

Micky, the adult cat, has since fully recovered and has been officially adopted alongside her brother, Goofy. As of yesterday, she is living in her new forever home with two new sisters and another brother. Lili (or Lee, since we've found out that he's a boy), has fully recovered from his fever, which turned out to have taken its sweet time getting down because he wasn't reacting well to his first meds. He got rapidly better once we've taken him off the initial meds and switched them into new ones that worked the best for him.

Robbie (aka Nonna Jr.), has been recovering really well ever since she started the nebulizer treatment daily. Having the kit at home has helped us save a lot of the cost that would've drained our savings if only we had decided to take her to the hospital for the treatments instead. She's currently on the mend and is going through her final set of treatments before she can finally get out of quarantine and can return to reunite with her sibling.

Unfortunately, we had to say goodbye to our precious Mai. Unlike her siblings, she was already facing a ton of health problems since birth, leading her to develop slower than the others, with signs of dwarfism, recurring pneumonia, and malnutrition (she couldn't latch on to her mom's milk and we had to give her formula ever since she was a newborn). We've been looking for the possible reason for her underweight issues and had first thought it was due to her dwarfism, but she may have other undetected issues with her body that we only started finding out after going to the 3rd vet.

Mai had one good day where she was playful again after getting the right meds and injections to deal with her stomach issues, but after having a meal one night, she started throwing up and her condition deteriorated rapidly until she passed away the next night. She passed in my arms last weekend, and it was the hardest thing that I had to go through since I've been hands-on in taking care of her since birth (I even assisted her mom's labour until she was born).

I hope this explains why I've been absent the past week, since I needed a break from everything and I've been spending my nights missing and crying over Mai and focusing on making sure that Robbie gets better. The next ordeal is returning Robbie to the main cat room and watching over her to make sure that she won't stress out once she notices that Mai is gone since they were bonded since birth.

For those of you who follow me on Patreon (and have access to my writing journal), you may have noticed that I've just started writing again the past few days. I'm trying to finish some stuff while I am coping and it's been helping me heal from all of this, so I might be dropping something new even though it may take some time.

Thank you again for everyone who has been helping, donating, praying, and keeping my cats in your thoughts. I'm so sorry that I couldn't give all positive updates to my situation, but things are (hopefully) looking good from this point forward.

OKAY :D

So first up is these two. Selene (the sheep) and Jade (the rabbit).

Their story takes place in space where Selene runs away from her duty of being a princess to become a singing idol. Along the way she picks up two strangers on her travel through the galaxy, a rabbit android and a sleepy dog (still working on her design) who all form a band where they eventually find themselves confronted by dark forces of each from their past.

These two are based on The Nutcracker story. Pretty much Carmen (the one on the right) is a costume designer who discovers that her best friend, Fayette (the one on the left), is a fairy princess from another realm and quickly finds herself becoming a knight as evil forces are not only after her friend's world, but also her own.

For this story it’s sort of a blend of Rainbow Bite meets He-Man. Basically when a powerful warrior dies at the hands of evil forces, her sidekick, Starlette (the grey one), finds herself thrusted into the hero role to protect the universe. Along the way she meets characters like Leonore (the lion), Sue Nova (the purple one) and others (the pink one who has no name yet…).

And those are just some ocs I have for stories I been working on :3
