I'm in a bad mood so I'm gonna break a 15-year-old nda which probably isn't even valid anymore: blorbo I designed from a canned-in-2008 ds/pc metroidvania (working title signal shift) about extremely incompetent von neumann probes attempting to colonize a planet, badly.
Also the map editor, which (along with the animation system) were my first major contributions to any game; even if it was an unfinished one. Shame you can't add videos in reblogs because i've got a ton of em that are way more interesting than these.
Before it got canned we screwed around with a paper cutout look (which is also where my avatar came from as well as this metroid doodle i did to test some of the animation system stuff)

Still wish I could get at least the tools from this out so people could play with them; the animation format/editor took SO LONG to nail down and it was cool as hell and did Castlevania : SOTN style animations in absolutely tiny ram requirements by modern standards (maps the size of the entirety of super metroid with multiple rooms active at once, in like 30MB ram) but modernizing it would require porting the entire thing from C++98 to something modern and it's got insane macro abuse and has Fun(tm) types like void*** pointers being used all over the place.
having an oc you havent drawn / written about publicly yet that only exist as a concept is so funny. i have special access to this limited edition guy from my brain
#and that's where 'holmoris' came from; the specific robot model from the first shot#hol- was just a prefix for all the bipeds; there was silly conlang stuff going on ala watership down#wish i had some good videos of the grappling hook (which works dead-on like the umihara kawase one). that thing took SO long to get working#at this point i don't think the other two people on this project know i'm posting about it; it's 90% my code anyways#kind of a rantpost; i promised someone i'd actually post old work stuff eventually and i'm tired of not#actually having anything i've worked on up even if it's 15+ years old and i'm still bitter about it#game dev stuff#all of this is placeholder/wip dev art because i can't post the finished stuff because that actually WOULD ruffle feathers

Do you know what this site thought of Elon Musk before he started supporting Trump and gave that Nazi Salute?
Going how far back? Ten years ago, we didn't talk about him and nobody cared. He was not in the wider public consciousness. Those who knew who he was mostly thought "oh yeah he's that rich guy who wants to look smart" and nothing much else was said. I think his first bump in popularity was when he married Grimes, and then he was just the weird rich dude Grimes married. I did not know who Grimes was and still kinda don't. She had a Tumblr blog and then made some music and had a baby with a weird name and then vanished kinda post-divorce afaik.
Then I think maybe five years ago ish he sort of started showing up more as a sort of weaboo man-baby deal? Pictures of him in Les Mis cosplay, dressed as a furby, and showing off empty Diet Coke cans and a fake replica gun on his nightstand circulated.
My impression was that he was just like. If that creepy awkward guy in class who unironically does the Naruto run and thinks katanas are magic was spawned out of the ether with infinite money.
And then I think maybe after that was how stupid he is? That became public knowledge shortly after-like how the safety vests in some of his factories are in washed-out neutral colours cause he doesn't like neons. Or like... how he seemed to be giving off the impression that he was a genius inventor, despite not actually making anything or having any kind of specialized area of education I can speak of? Not off the top of my head at least. Like I couldn’t even tell you if he has a degree in anything. All I know is like. He was an owner with PayPal and then bought Tesla?
And simultaneously if I remember correctly he was kind of always about "if we don't let the nazis talk on twitter then we're basically á dictatorship" or whatever, banging on the free speech drum and going on about how jokes used to be funny, then bluffed about buying twitter and somehow got legally shoehorned into ponying up and actually doing it for WAY more than it was worth, almost immediately making it worse and tanking its value.
Now it seems kind of like an Emporer's clothes situation where everyone knows the Emporer is naked, but instead of getting embarrassed and covering up, the emperor just keeps doubling down harder.
Meanwhile his whole entire ass is just. Out

I've been reading the fanart. You have a natural talent for creating a more distinctive personality for the Saja Boys from the bits and pieces they gave us in the movie!
Ever since that fanart where the Saja sneaked into the reader's room, I couldn't stop imagining what they would be like sleeping alone with her, as if every day of the week except the weekends they will take turns sleeping with the reader or something like that.
And again, I love your writing. I hope you like the idea. Have a nice day!!!
Saja Boys x GN!Reader
a/n; anon thank you so much heheh!!! this one isn't too accurate to your idea, but i love it and i hope it's still okay!
summary; physical touch with the boys and why they wanna go to your bedroom :))) (touch starved. written separately but they all live in the same housing)
warnings; stalking (watching you sleep), body curious, touching w no permission, nothing sexual tho!
— 🍃 [Monday]
Here's the thing, guys. The boys don't actually need sleep. They're demons. Sleep isn't something their bodies need—instead it's something they want. They are still aware and can feel through touch, which is exactly why they'd prefer to sleep with you.
You're warm, so alive, and they don't know it yet.
Surprisingly enough, Jinu is the first one to knock on your door.
"Jinu?" you drawl, voice laced with sleep. He stands awkwardly by the doorway, patiently waiting for you to process what's happening. Glancing idly at your sleepwear and dimlit room.
You yawn, widening the door. "What's up? Need something?" You pause, raising a lazy accusing finger. "Wait. You're not here to suck my blood, are you—?!"
"What? No!" Jinu gasps, almost offended. You sigh out of relief anyway.
"...We're not interested in physical bodies. Anyway, uh, sorry for waking you up. I just need to see how our socials are going," he explains as he steps into your room. "You can power your computer and go back to sleep."
As soon as you heard the word 'social', you were already turning it on. "'kay, buddy. You sure you don't need help, though? I know I taught you a bit but I understand it can get confusing—"
"No, no," Jinu huffs, denial flooding his form. "I can do it."
"You remember how to turn it off?"
"Yes. Don't worry."
Then you fall asleep next to him, your body slightly pressing against his. His eyes slowly drift away from the glow of the computer screen to your sleeping form. He stares for a moment.
Soft, warm. It reminds him of the past on how he couldn't sleep with his own fam—
Jinu pulls the computer plug off and teleports away.
—💐 [Tuesday]
Baby made you piggyback him. A lot. It was sort of your fault.
You saw the Saja Boys taking turns carrying him—it was a pretty funny ordeal. Then you jokingly offered to piggyback him to see what the hype was about.
He accepted it all too eagerly. As soon as his full weight falls on you, you're genuinely surprised at how light he is. It's probably equivalent to a box full of volleyballs.
"You're lighter than I thought," you say, adjusting your arms behind his legs.
Baby suddenly lets his head rest on yours. "Why are you so..." Warm. He buries himself into your shoulder, his arms tightening around you.
"Why am I so what?" you ask, turning your head, only achieving to tickle him more.
He doesn't let you go for the rest of the day.
And by extension, night.
You tried to complain at first. "Didn't we agree to—"
"Just this once, please?"
You folded.
He snuggles all comfortable within your arms, acting as the little spoon, greedily content in your warmth and breathing.
But then you wake up with his mouth on your skin. He wasn't biting, sucking, or anything. It was just.... there.
Still, though, you assumed the worst.
"I thought you said demons don't suck blood, Jinu!?!"
"We don't!!?!"
—🪷 [Wednesday]
Abby wanted you to touch his abs for some mysterious reason. Yapping about how "no one else will have this chance," or "you might not live long enough to feel it!" and "I actually haven't let anyone touch my artificial abs yet" — it was really weird, but you shrugged it off and agreed anyway.
Like hell yeah. Sure, why not?
So he unbuttons his shirt, all giddy, and watches as you reach for his skin.
You make contact with his abs. Caressing it gently, it feels normal in texture — but you suppose it's a little too cold. The fact didn't totally sound weird at the time.
Looking up, you flinch at Abby's expression. You thought he'd be smiling, like he was the whole time, but he looks so serious that it's actually concerning. He's not looking at you; his eyes were down and fixated on your hand.
You notice, pulling your hand away from him, and snapping your fingers. "You okay?"
He blinks. "Uh."
Later that night, Abby welcomes himself into your room.
He stares at you from the corner. From the center. From the edge of your bedframe. On your bed.
Sometimes, he'd gently let his hands roam over your exposed skin. Mostly your warm hands. And your warm face.
You wake up to find his face in front of you.
Screaming, you unintentionally kick him in the abs.
"Ow, my perfectly crafted abs!"
— 🪻 [Thursday]
Mystery almost lost it when you pat his head.
You did it voluntarily. It's a nice, comforting feeling as you pat his shoulder, his arm, and his cheek. He utterly melts under your casual touches without a single word.
He loves it. You leave him demanding for more. So, Mystery decides to linger around you like a guard dog. Who hopes to be spoiled, who wishes to be held.
But, then, night comes.
"You're not exactly allowed in my room," you say, only to pause when he straight up whimpers.
... You folded. With a sigh, you step away from the door and give him space to walk in.
He happily skips into your room, flopping face-first on your bed. You stare at him for a moment, thinking about how despite them not being human — they really love to rest.
You lie down, feeling Mystery move around under your blanket, closing your eyes when he finds himself comfortable against your chest.
Your chest rising and falling with every breath—Mystery simply can't help but feel envious.
— 🌺 [Friday]
Romance is confused.
There's a buzz between his band members — apparently, they visited your bedroom? Didn't they agree to avoid that specific place in this house?
He doesn't realize he's been staring blankly at nowhere. Reality hits him hard when something gentle touches his hair.
"Might wanna style your hair again, Rome," you chuckle, brushing his hair with your fingers. He shivers when your skin grazes his forehead. "You got the bed head. Though I guess you just snap your fingers and it'd be all okay."
You leave right after that, but Romance keeps staring at the last place he saw your figure, his fingers fidgeting with the hair you just touched.
Okay. He gets it now.
Next day, you woke up with him hovering over your head.
You suddenly grab his shoulders, push him back against your bed, breathing heavy from the shock. The bed sinks under both your weight.
Romance stares immensely up at you.
"You guys," you breath, "will be the death of me."
He smirks. "I can only imagine."

I love, LOVE your characterization of the Saja Boys, and while I know you’ve only written complete dating hcs for Baby and Abs, I was hoping if it was okay if I could request something with the Saja Boys (separately) where it follows the prompt “you're about to argue but you're so pretty that his brain short circuits”? If you don’t want to write for all of them, then maybe you could do Baby and Abs (separately)?
;KPOP DEMON HUNTERS SAJA BOYS - "Too Pretty"
Saja Boys (separate) x Reader 2.5k words silly, fluff Being a demon's soft spot has its benefits. Who would've thought?
i'm so glad you like the way I write them!! this prompt sounded so fun, I just had to try my hand at it, thank you!
this also served as a way for me to slowly figure out how I'd like to characterize the other members o7 I tried to keep the relationship vague enough to be read as whatever people want, so hope that comes across well enough. also also, dont let these dramatic edgy idols fool you, all drabbles end up being silly and cute
JINU
"Are you even listening, Jinu?"
He is, of course. But he'd rather not, especially when you're getting worked up over nothing; so much for escaping an endless cycle of torture in the underworld, he now has to deal with a brand new mess, pacing behind him like a madman. By now, you've probably noticed the monotonous and non-committal answers he's been giving on loop.
"Uh-huh," Jinu's eyes never stray from the notebook in front of him, attempting to come up with a better verse for an upcoming song. And he knows he's fucked up when he hears you groan, stomping towards him.
"Okay, okay. Maybe I stopped listening abooout ... five or ten minutes ago, who's counting, but--"
Your hand comes into view, fast as lighting, and he can only look as you snatch the notebook away from him. Great, awesome.
There goes the perfect verse in his head. He remains frozen for a moment, the hand holding a pen still hovering over the now empty spot on his desk until your voice reaches him once more.
"If you're not going to listen, at least tell me so I don't waste my time talking to you."
Jinu slouches in his seat, raising both hands to cover his face, before sliding them upwards to slick back his hair in a feeble attempt at regaining his composure. You can't even see him from this angle, his back turned to you, but he still rolls his eyes.
You want to argue? Get it out of your system? Fine, he can give you the fight you want.
In one swift motion, his position changes; now he's straddling the chair, a powerplay he's come to master after bickering with his own band for so long, eyes closed as he prepares to deliver a devastating comeback to rile you up. But when he looks up, the golden glow in his eyes wavers--you're standing so close in front of him, looking down at his seated form with your arms crossed, as if daring him to speak.
He doesn't, and you tilt forwards, hair cascading over him so that the only thing he can focus is your face in this one-sided glaring contest.
Jinu has seen you at your best and your worst, but this is the first time he's found himself at the other end of your undivided attention and anger. It is as intimidating as it is alluring. What are you doing to him? Is this allowed? His neck feels hot, his face feels hot. The room feels like it's on fire, but not the same type of hellfire he's grown used to; it's a different sort of warmth, equal parts shame and pleasure as he takes in the sight. His lips part without him noticing, whispering ever so gently.
"Pretty ..."
"What was that?" Fuckfuckfuckfuck.
"Shitty. I said you look. Shitty. As in, you look like shit. Being angry isn't doing you any favors, you know? You should get some rest, okay. Byeee."
Without giving you any time to react, Jinu fumbles over his words, trips over your furniture and he stumbles out of your apartment in a rush, almost breaking into a sprint for the elevator. It's only when the doors close that he allows himself to breathe in and out, finally noticing the extra passenger inside with him. His bird companion chirps smugly, and Jinu groans into his palms.
"I don't want to talk about it."
ROMANCE
"I didn't mean it like that!"
Romance scoffs at your words, still refusing to leave his room. All the heart shaped decorations seem to mock him as he leans his full weight against the door, easily preventing you from entering no matter how hard you try to rattle the doorknob.
Both of you find yourself at the edge of an argument, and the decision to escalate things lies solely on his hands. He knows this because he can practically hear the affection in your words, even as you whine and tell him to get over himself to talk to you, face to face. That alone is enough to make Romance's chest tighten--no matter how many times he does this, this game of push and pull, you still make sure to chase after him time and time again.
Surely you must be reaching your breaking point; nobody is strong enough to withstand this much heartbreak. Maybe if he tries a little harder, you'll realize that there's nothing good in a future with him.
All he has to do is stay silent and wait for you to leave.
"Then what did you mean?" His voice is whiny, it always is. But you always insist that you love that about him, the way he feels so deeply about everything.
"You really want to argue about something like this?" You're right, you usually are--he's making things difficult when he's not even officially yours. "Well, I don't. So you can call me once you've cooled off."
And just like that, it's quiet; there's no more pressure pushing against him from the other side of the door, no more cutesy nicknames and attempts at coercing him out. Romance's heart drops, and he practically claws his way out, torn between cursing you out for proving him right and leaving, or begging you to take him back and sort everything out as if he hadn't been the one to start this. He's taken only a single step out of the threshold of his sanctuary when your smile greets him--you're leaning casually against the door frame, pretending to inspect your nails.
"So, are you done brooding all by yourself, handsome?"
That playful grin renders Romance speechless; the contrast of your casual attitude against his frenzied panic is impossible to ignore, he's gone through all five stages of grief in under a minute while your trust in him never wavered. Absence truly makes the heart grow fonder because there's a glint in your eyes that tugs at his heartstrings, wild strands of hair that he'd love to twirl in his fingers and kiss ever so gently. Romance knows that you'll let him if he asks for permission, and a knot forms in his throat, face flushed bright pink.
"No." It's all he manages to squeak out before closing the door once more.
"Rommie! Are you mad at me or not?!"
"I don't??? Know??? I need a moment! Just stay there!"
ABBY
"That's the last time I take you anywhere. You can't just pick a fight like that, Abby!" Abby sinks even deeper into the plush cushions of the couch as you continue to scold him, as if his sulking and his silence could single-handedly help him win this argument.
He's already found himself a comfortable spot, but you're still fussing about the living room, throwing your shoes to the side, sending your jacket flying onto the backrest of the sofa, pausing to drink and slamming the glass on the counter a little harder than necessary. Abby knows better than to try and stop you, so he stays put, waiting for his opening.
"What if anyone saw? Did you even think about that? The amount of trouble you'd be in?"
Those are all very good questions that he never bothered to consider; in fact, he still refuses to think about the consequences. There's no point in doing so when you managed to pull him away before he could do any damage to anyone, or to his own reputation as an idol.
"Like they'd even care," Abby huffs, trying to blow a strand of hair out of his eyes. "Just catching a glimpse of us outside is enough to make everyone turn a blind eye, it's almost too easy to work the crowd. One flex of these guns and any broken noses will be totally forgotten."
He makes an attempt to flex said guns, but he finds you looming over him from behind the couch, your grasp on his wrists as steady as death. There is a wild look in your expression, one he can't quite understand, but he finds it impossible to tear his eyes away from you. Getting to play the part of guard dog for you comes as easy as breathing, Abby can't get enough of the little tells that give you away, letting him know that you enjoy his antics--but it never crossed his mind that the tables could be reversed like this.
"Fine, let me put it this way! What if you got in trouble or worse, what if you got hurt? Ever thought of that one? Just because you're an all mighty demon doesn't mean you're--"
"You're hot when you're mad." He blurts out.
"I--What?"
A chance to rectify his mistake is presented to him, and he immediately pivots away from it when you blink your pretty eyes at him in confusion. "I said that you're hot when you're--"
"I heard you the first time, Abby. It's just--were you listening to what I was saying?" Okay, this is his chance to steer the conversation back on track. It's very easy, he just has to--
"If I say no, will you scold me some more?"
"Oh my God. Abby. Nevermind."
MYSTERY
Arguing with you is a rare occurrence.
But so is speaking to you, or engaging in any sort of conversation at all with anyone. This is one of the many perks that came with his role as the cool, mysterious and aloof member of the Saja Boys; anything he didn't feel like addressing could be easily swept under the rug and left ignored for centuries. This had been Mystery's modus operandi for years, and he wasn't planning on changing it any time soon.
You, on the other hand, were the opposite, filling the silence he often sought so desperately, until your voice became background noise in his life, a constant, confusing and somewhat comforting presence that simply followed him around.
Mystery still remembers the first time he deigned himself to reply, something off-handed that didn't matter at all, and yet you clung to his every word and went the extra mile to include him in your one-sided talks. It took a long time for the demon to get used to this, and an even longer time to acknowledge the fact that he enjoys the sound of your laughter, way better than the miserable voices crawling in the back of his mind.
Which is why the claustrophobic and oppressive silence lingering in the room irks him to no end. You're supposed to be talking, not playing hard to get or ignoring him over a stupid argument; the way you brush past him, barely acknowledging his existence as you go about your day is getting under his skin in ways he never knew were possible.
And then, for a fleeting second, you meet his gaze--this moment lasts for an eternity in his eyes, and he opens his mouth to speak, to seize the opportunity and break the ice, but before he can get a single word out, you turn around and begin to scroll through your phone. That's the last straw.
Mystery stands up and forces himself into your peripheral, hands firmly planted on the wall, trapping you in.
For the first time in forever, he wants to scream, to bark, to growl and give you a piece of his mind. But when he sees the way you awkwardly avoid his gaze, fiddling with your hands and standing at your tiptoes, Mystery relents and his frustration is replaced with something else; endearment. You're still wearing his merch, one of the very first shirts the Saja Boys released long ago with his name written on it, you're still attempting to hide from him despite knowing there's nowhere in the world you could go without him finding you.
Slowly, Mystery raises a hand towards you, enjoying your half-hearted attempt at shaking him off, pretending to bite the air near him.
And then he pinches your nose. "Cute."
After that, he leaves. You'll come around when you feel like it.
BABY
"You went too far this time, there was no need to get so personal back there."
"That's the entire point of dissing someone, duh. So, was it good? Did you like it?" Baby kicks his feet, hands cupping his cheeks to make himself look as innocent as possible. "I didn't know I could rhyme that many words with 'cunt' but it was soooo fun! Right, right?"
"Baby!"
Tsk. Guess it's the hard way today. That cute expression quickly turns into a scowl and he makes a bee-line for the fridge, if only to find something to drink and distract himself with.
He blows bubbles into the silly straw, sulking in the kitchen. "What? They got what they deserved. What kind of idiot would challenge me to a rap battle if they can't take the heat? Hellooooo, it's Baby Saja we're talking about."
"But it was a friendly thing, you turned it into a massacre for no reason."
"Heh," he knows he shouldn't, but he snickers to himself anyway. "Guess I did, huh? What, do you wanna have a go in their place?"
This is how Baby likes to play, to earn a reaction and entertain himself if only for a little--but you always know better than to play into his shenanigans. And you also know how to get a message through his thick skull, something that continues to astonish him to this day.
Baby continues to sip away on his drink as you busy yourself, fully believing himself to be the victor of this round. But dread starts to make its presence known deep in his chest as he sees you slowly gathering your things--this isn't how things usually go, you always stay the night at his place to keep him company, watching horrible romcoms, eating snacks and falling asleep at 5 a.m.
So why were you leaving?
"Hey, hey. Woaaah! Are you really going to ditch me because I got a little mean to some rando? That's so unfair." The look you give him is enough for his act to crumble, and Baby groans dramatically before hurrying to your side, tugging onto the hem of your sleeves. "Stay here! Pleeeeeeaase? I'll behave next time!"
It doesn't work; you pinch his cheeks and pull, stretching them like mochi. Your voice is stern, even after you let go. "You're old enough to know that what you have to say is 'sorry,' Baby. But if you want to beg for forgiveness, you'll have to try a little harder than that."
Shit. So much for being unfair, the tone of your voice and that look in your eye are more than enough to get all the thoughts in his mind twisted up--Baby hates when you don't indulge him, but even he has to admit that he loves that stubborn streak in you.
"What? Cat got your tongue? I know you well enough by now, there's no way you have nothing to say."
You never waver, meeting his eyes with the same intensity, running a hand through your hair. Baby's mouth turns into a fine line, followed by a pout. If he says anything right now, he'll most likely end up digging his own grave. You look SUPER hot right now, is that good enough to make up and get you to stay? Something like that would most likely earn him the silent treatment for a week.
"Sssssssorry ..."
"See, that wasn't so hard, was it--"
"...for being soooo damn good at my job. Like it's my fault?"
"I'll see you tomorrow Baby."
"Aw, c'mon!"

Hope you are doing ok 🫂

From A tehrani resident who barely got out let me inform you of some of the things currently going on here:
Israel bombed two of the highways leading out of tehran, both are blocked now. The remaining highways had heavy traffic until few hours ago. After israel bombed every oil tanks and refineries around tehran, a shortage of petrol happened. Now most petrol stations are out of work and if you're lucky enough to find one that's still operating, you have to stay in hours long lines in hopes of getting max 15 liters of petrol. So even with a car, it's not guaranteed you can get very far from the city.
There's also the matter of where to go and stay. The bank system is half working, no cash available at the time. And you can't exactly sleep in the deserts around the city. Most people still stuck in tehran don't have anywhere to go and they don't have the money to afford relocating themselves (it's always the lower class that gets the worst hits)
All of these are beside the fact that most people can't leave the city under any circumstance. They have chronic illnesses, they have sick family members who needs care, they work as emergency workers and can't leave their lines of duty.
But these mfs don't care about human life getting destroyed. It's just numbers to them, expendables. Our own government has abandoned people to die horrible deaths, they never cared and they don't care now. People of iran are worth nothing to nobody. It's Gaza all over again.
I have family and friends still in tehran who can't leave. I'm bracing myself for the worst case scenario. I hope all those who start war, add fuel to the flames of war, encourage it and cheer for it, burn and rot in hell. I don't really believe in hell and afterlife, but I hope it's all real just to see these people get what they deserve
#iran#tehran#iran israel war#middle east#gaza#fuck the islamic republic of iran#prev tags ->#they're going to destroy my beautiful home and i can only watch#they're going to kill those who i love and i can only watch#sorry i don't know where else i can vent my fears and frustration out

i'm still trying to piece together the truth of it. when you left, you said: feel free to spin this narrative however you want. i have no idea if you were being cruel or if you just genuinely don't remember what you've done to me.
it's hard because i'd done so much of the work for you. i had seen the parts that flaked off, the rust underneath. i started separating you into two people - the one i loved, and the one who hurt me. i had this fantasy version of you - my partner - and then i had this stranger, a third person who would show up randomly to shatter me. i am deliriously glad i'm no longer with "the stranger". i miss the gentle (unreal?) "other" you terribly.
at first, i was so strict about my boundaries. i remember telling you to get the fuck out of my house if you were going to talk to me like that. by the end: i would justify your behavior for you, accepting even your mistreatment as "my fault" in the grand scheme. i look back on the person i was before you - smart, independent, confident - and i feel a strange sense of detachment. i don't even recognize me.
even in one of our last conversations, you said: if you want a partner that always talks warmly to you, find someone else. there was a time that a comment like that would have made me leave. and instead, somehow, i just placidly accepted that kind of thing. you were literally telling me that i wasn't allowed to have a reaction to your cruelty - and i just took it, because you'd so fully turned things around on me.
when people are faced with irrationality, a rational brain tries to make sense of it. this is the trap. they're lovely in the morning, gentle and blue-eyed and sweet. like nothing even happened, they breeze around the house and kiss you on the mouth. but at night; who is that? they snap almost randomly; flying into an impotent rage about just-about-anything. it just doesn't make sense. so the problem must be me, and my brain, and how i think.
the traumatized brain just wants peace. so maybe i'm misremembering. maybe you were just having a bad day. maybe it's actually me.
you eventually would fully turn on me and start implying that i am the bad actor in our relationship. that's what happens, right? that's literally in the playbook. you went to therapy for all of a month, told her a half-truth, co-opted therapyspeak. you figured out how to reframe your actions as "seeking peace." any time i stood my ground, i was "gaslighting." when i asked you to be more gentle, you said i was "tone policing." you said, randomly, i had emotionally manipulated you - i still have no idea what that's even specifically referring to. maybe my consistent requests for calmness and empathy?
and while i literally know better, and i'm sitting here, trained by you, thinking: wait, fuck. was i actually the person you made me out to be?
and the thing that scares me is that i literally do not know if you ever actually saw what you were doing to me. when you'd tell me how you remember arguments, you'd always summarize them in a way where you come off as gentle and easy: "i was trying to set an important boundary." what had actually happened was 15 minutes of you shouting at me i know you did something shady, just admit it already. eventually you'd say my reaction to your shouting (when i finally reacted, which usually happened around hour three) was inevitably "disappointing" and "another way i'm silencing your feelings."
how many times did i ask you - beg you - to just take accountability? looking back, i don't think i ever heard you say: you're right. the way i talked to you was wrong of me.
i am trying to tie together the two people into a full version of you in my head. yes, you made my coffee and made me laugh and spent hours on the phone with me. and yes - you would scream at me until i had to run away and hide behind something.
i wish i did have a narrative i could pull out and shape to my whim. i wish i did have some semblance of reality. instead i just stand here, strange and vibrating, wondering: what the fuck just happened?
#spilled ink#warm up#tbh more of a diary than a poem#i need to write this stuff down bc my ptsd likes to forget trauma pretty much WHILE it's happening#and any time i find myself making it ''my fault'' again i have to walk myself through the grounding steps#it's so hard to describe emotional abuse. bc it's so fucking easy to get sucked into#like. you're an empathetic person. so when ur partner comes to you after a nasty fight and is like#“i really was trying to get my feelings heard and you didn't hear me last night” you're like - okay you know what#i'll do the right thing. this is my fault. let me take accountability and try to empathize and talk things out.#with the assumption that later - it'll be ''your turn'' right. you'll be able to bring up the screaming and talk about how#you BOTH need to make a safe space for each other. that you can't listen if your partner is literally shouting at you.#since YOU reflect and grow and try to be a better partner. you assume SHE will be doing the same thing.#but it is never your turn. she will never bring up the screaming. you cannot tell if she LEGIT just doesn't feel culpable.#and when u bring it up. she says ''so i deserved you talking to me badly? <- this doesn't go well.#she says you're blaming her. she doesn't understand that arguments are ''two sides and the truth''. it's that 1 person is right and 1 isn't#so u try to talk it out. get both perspectives heard. but over time it just becomes easier to let her get her rant out and shut up about u#until one day you wake up and despite months of treating you terribly - and admitting it 3 weeks ago!!! - she's now saying...#you were always terrible . you were always the issue. she never got her feelings heard.#meanwhile you remember literally MONTHS of supporting her and listening to her and silencing yourself.#and bc she TRAINED you to accept fault ... you just say sorry. you feel insane. you feel incredibly unhinged.#meanwhile. i fully am the kind of person that will reflect. come back after a fight. apologize before you ask. say things like#“i see your side now and i was wrong about this/that/the other thing.” ...... this is EMOTIONAL MATURITY.#she literally started calling it ''mindgames'' and ''flip flopping." ........#AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH#<- girl who def was emotionally abused but also doesn't really understand that yet#anyway love u get OUT OF THERE IF YOU RELATE BYE!!!!

I feel like Dr whos exist on a spectrum between the following 2 states:
1: you have lived with them in the tardis for like 2 years and in that time you have never once seen them in a state of undress. You go to bed at night and they are hanging out fully dressed in the console room. You get up in the morning and they're still fully dressed in the console room. Wake up in the night? You guessed it fully dressed in the console room. Presumably they have a bedroom somewhere but you don't know where it is. They must shower bcos they aren't stinky but you've never seen any evidence of this. Inscrutable.
2: so I was just getting out the shower when I remembered I was going to defrag the temporal coordinates drive so I went to do that before I forgot and no I didn't feel like putting a towel on haha yeah I guess I am naked. Can you grab my screwdriver it's over there.
Very little middle ground on this.

You Don't Have to... For Me
About: You step out of your comfort zone to share special moments with him. He sees right through your act. How will he respond? Pairing: Female Reader x Xavier, Zayne, Rafayel, Sylus, Caleb (Seperate) Note: Reader and the men are NOT in a relationship but there is implied mutual interest. Trigger warnings: Fears, insecurities, mild panic, mild food aversion, sensory discomfort
Author’s Note: Hey! Some of the discomforts and fears in these stories might not apply to you personally — I chose them based on what each LI seems to enjoy and what the reader might quietly endure just to spend time with them. This concept was inspired by a conversation with my dear friend and chaos enabler, Ivy ( @xaviersknight )
If you enjoy my writing and want to support me, you can buy me a Ko-fi! ☕
SYLUS
There’s a boxing ring in his penthouse.
Of course, there is.
It shouldn’t surprise you—nothing about Sylus ever plays by anyone else’s rules. He doesn’t live, he orchestrates. Even the things that should feel raw and violent, like boxing, feel too elegant when he’s involved. Of course, he had a private ring, glinting under moody downlights like something out of a crime drama. Polished floors. Blood-red ropes. A small stack of gloves in varying sizes, already laid out for you. The floors smell faintly of clean sweat and expensive disinfectant.
You're underdressed for this, somehow. Even though he told you to wear something comfortable, even though you showed up in sleek workout leggings and a cropped tee, even though you tied your hair back the way you always do when you mean business—none of it feels right under his gaze.
“Welcome to my little playground…” Sylus speaks from across the ring.
He’s already inside it, lounging lazily against the ropes like a king waiting to be amused. Black tank top, gloves hanging loose from his fingertips, a thin sheen of sweat already glinting across his collarbone. He looks carved from obsidian and marble, every inch of him dangerous and divine.
You swallow. Smile.
“It’s not so little,” you reply.
“Oh? Planning to flatter me into going easy on you, kitten?”
There it is—kitten. The word slides off his tongue. You offer a half-laugh, stepping forward like it’s all a game. But inside, your stomach twists. Tight. Unrelenting.
You don’t like boxing.
It’s too much. Too close. Too exposed. Every movement is a risk. Every breath, a beat away from being cornered. It’s not just the physicality of it—it’s what it forces out of you. Anger. Instinct. Too close. Too loud. Too... visceral. You liked knowing where your limbs were. You liked boundaries and clear lines and space to breathe.
But Sylus was unpredictable. Impossible to read. A storm of velvet and barbed wire. And once, just once, you’d heard him say: “Boring things don’t interest me.”
He hadn’t said it to you. But it stuck. And it doesn’t take much for the mind to twist things.
Boring people don’t interest him, either.
And the thought had stuck in your ribs ever since — echoing in your bones every time he teased you, called you “kitten” or “sweetie” like it was second nature. You didn’t want to be boring to him. You didn’t want him to lose interest. So you said yes.
Of course you said yes.
He tossed a pair of gloves toward you — you caught them, barely.
“You’ll need help with the wraps,” he said, walking over before you could protest.
He took your hands gently, like you were a glass weapon. Thumb brushing your palm. The silk of his touch was deceptive — soft, delicate — but you could feel the power beneath it. Coiled control. Calculated intimacy. Like he knew exactly what strings he was tugging.
“You nervous?” he murmured without looking up.
“No,” you lied. “Why would I be? This is just practice... right?”
You step into the ring.
He doesn’t rush you. Just watches.
You’ve seen him like this before—when he’s stalking someone through a deal, or when he’s circling the truth in a conversation. It’s not hunger. It’s focus. He’s studying you, already inside your head.
“I thought we’d start with light sparring,” he says. “No pressure. Just a dance.”
You force your lips into a smile, ignoring the cold sweat trickling down your spine. “Just don’t break my nose.”
“I’d never mar you, sweetie...” His eyes crinkle, playful. “Unless you ask me nicely.” He was joking, of course. Sylus never hurt you despite his reputation.
He moves first. Not striking. Just circling.
Testing.
You follow. Clumsy. Too stiff.
“Relax,” he says, not unkindly. “This isn’t a war. Not yet.”
You take a breath.
Try again.
The first time he taps your shoulder with a jab, you flinch. He sees it. Of course he does. You don’t have to look to know he’s watching your reactions more than your form.
“Something wrong, sweetie?”
“No.” You lie so fast it burns your throat.
He jabs again—light, teasing. You respond with a wild swing. Miss entirely. He tilts his head, the corner of his mouth lifting.
“Getting bold, aren’t we?”
Your chest tightens. You can’t read him. You don’t know if he’s impressed or amused or—
Disappointed.
That’s the word that hurts most.
You move too hard next time. Overcorrect. You nearly trip over your own foot as your glove grazes his chest and he catches you—arms snapping around your waist, steadying you like it’s nothing.
Your face is close to his. Too close. His breath is warm against your cheek. He smells like clean sweat and spiced cologne. He doesn’t let go right away.
You look up, startled.
He’s staring at you again. But something’s different.
Less amusement. More... calculation.
And then, softness.
“Why are you hesitating?” he asks. Quiet. Not a whisper, but close.
You blink. “I’m not.”
His brow arches.
You try again. “I just... I’m not good at this.”
“I noticed.”
You flinch.
But his voice is gentle now. Not mocking. Not amused. Just... honest.
You didn’t answer. You couldn’t explain the heat rising in your chest. The way your gloves suddenly felt too heavy. The sweat gathering at your lower back. The eyes on you — his eyes — making it impossible to breathe.
It wasn’t the fight. It was the nearness. The intimacy of it. The way his presence filled the ring like smoke, clinging to your skin and thoughts alike.
You stepped back, then again. The ropes pressed against your spine.
His gaze followed you — not taunting. Not cruel. Just watchful.
“You don’t like this....” he said quietly.
You stiffened. “It’s fine.”
“No, sweetie.” He took a step forward. “You’re not fine.”
You looked down, fingers curling into the gloves. “I didn’t want to disappoint you.”
Silence stretched.
“I heard you say once,” you added, voice quieter now, “that boring things don’t interest you. I just… I didn’t want to be that.”
There’s a pause. A shift.
Then, a laugh.
“Is that what this is about?”
You don’t answer.
His hand rises, gloved, brushing lightly beneath your chin until you meet his gaze.
“Oh, sweetie...” he sighs, and it’s the softest thing you’ve ever heard from him. “You think I invited you here to impress me?”
You nod. Barely.
He exhales, the sound tinged with remorse.
“I invited you here because I like watching you try,” he says, lips curving into a gentle smile. “You could throw cotton balls at me, and I’d still find it riveting.”
You blink fast.
He leans in, voice barely audible. “If I wanted perfect form, I’d spar with one of my... business associates. If I wanted dull, I’d drink alone. But you... you make things interesting just by showing up.”
You feel the tears prick your lashes before you can stop them.
His hand—still gloved—cups your cheek gently. The rough texture of the leather is at odds with the tenderness in his touch.
“You don’t have to prove anything to me, sweetie,” he murmurs. “Just be here. That’s enough.”
You nod. It’s all you can manage.
“Besides,” he adds, voice lighter now, “your form is atrocious. But your pout is lethal.”
You laugh—shaky, but real. He grins, triumphant.
“There she is..." he whispers.
You don’t spar again that night. Instead, you both sit in the ring, backs against the ropes, gloves off, drinks in hand brought up by someone who clearly knows better than to ask questions. Sylus lounges beside you, knee brushing yours, casual in a way that still buzzes under your skin.
He talks, and he listens, and he teases, and he lets you unravel yourself in pieces—not all at once, but enough to make you feel seen. Safe.
And when you leave, hours later, he walks you to the door and leans against the frame, arms crossed, lips curved.
“Next time,” he says, “we’ll do something that scares me.”
You raise a brow. “Does anything scare you?”
“Just one thing,” he replies, eyes holding yours.
You want to ask what.
“But that’s a discussion for another time.” He taps your forehead, leading you to his car. his hand, extended, waited for yours without force, without pressure.
Just... waiting.
And when you placed yours in his, he didn’t let go.
CALEB
You could hear his grin through the message.
Got us two VIP passes to the Amusement Park’s Firelight Festival tonight. :p Rides, food, fireworks… and a parade with glowing dragons, just like the old stories you love. ;)
And then, like it wasn’t a big deal, like it wasn’t making your stomach twist in a dozen knots .
Come ready to fly,.
You smiled when you read it.
You really did. He remembered that you liked parades and fireworks. You’d told him when you hung out with him once.
And then immediately set your phone down and groaned into your pillow.
Rides. He said rides.
He didn’t know. You never told him. It was embarrassing. Heights just... did something to you. The tilt of the world. The way it all dropped away beneath you like gravity forgot how to love you. That sick feeling in your stomach, the one that clung like static even hours after you were back on solid ground.
You liked fireworks. Parades. Candy stalls and fuzzy prizes you’d never win.
But coasters? Loops? Platforms you could see through?
Nope.
And yet, here you were — standing at the entrance of the park’s glowing gates. breath caught somewhere between your throat and your heart, watching him wave at you from across the crowd.
Caleb was all light. All warmth. That stupidly charming smile that could’ve powered the whole island. He was in his casual clothes – Sleeveless white shirt, baggy jeans and shades and his dark hair was a little tousled like he’d run here.
“Hey!” he beamed, trotting toward you. “Look at you. You showed up. Thought I’d have to fly over and drag you in myself.”
You laughed — or tried to. “Would’ve been easier if you had.”
“Oh? You saying you wanted me to sweep you off your feet?” He winked, already walking backward toward the gates, tugging you by the wrist. “Next time just say the word and I will come pick you up from your doorstep.”
He had the same boyish grin as always. Same lopsided energy. But beneath the laughter, there was something tight about him. Focused. Like he was trying to be carefree — like he was carrying something heavier than he let on.
You squeezed his hand. He looked at you, surprised. Then softened.
“You okay?” he asked.
“Yeah,” you lied. “You?”
“Always,” he said, but didn’t let go. “And even more so now that you are here.”
The park was a living constellation. Lights danced in every direction — strung along towers, wrapped around trees, woven into the very air like stardust. People bustled by with caramel popcorn and glowing necklaces. Children squealed. Music floated from every corner.
And high above it all, looming like metal beasts with neon eyes, were the rides.
You avoided looking at them.
Caleb was thrilled. He practically vibrated next to you, pointing out different ones, telling stories, dropping trivia. “That one,” he said, eyes sparkling as he pointed at a monstrous looped coaster. “It was inspired by the early zero-G training modules for astronauts. Goes up to 3Gs on the final drop. Wanna try it?”
You smiled too fast. Too wide. “Sure.”
With VIP passes, the wait time was almost non-existent.
You stared up at the metal track. It twisted into the clouds, lights flashing like a heartbeat. Every scream that echoed down from the peak made your stomach twist tighter. You tried to breathe.
Caleb was rambling about pilot protocols and how G-force affected vision, and you were nodding, smiling, trying to look normal.
But the closer you got, the worse it felt.
Your hands shook when you buckled in.
Caleb noticed. “You cold?”
You shook your head too fast. “I’m fine.”
The harness clicked into place. The floor dropped out from beneath your feet.
And then — the ascent.
The world shrank beneath you. Each click of the coaster’s gears echoed like a countdown.
You felt him look at you.
“…Hey?”
You didn’t respond.
You couldn’t.
Your hands were white-knuckled fists. Your eyes were squeezed shut. Breathing shallow. Chest tight.
“…Hey.”
His voice was gentler now.
“Hey. Look at me.”
You did.
He was watching you. Really watching you — not with teasing, not with that easy charm. With concern. With care.
“Why didn’t you say anything?” he asked softly, the lightest tremble in his voice.
“I didn’t want to ruin this evening…” you whispered, ashamed.
The ride lurched — nearly at the peak now. A second more and it would drop.
The wind screamed as the peak crested.
He reached over — twisted in his seat, even with the restraints — and grabbed your hand with his left. “Close your eyes. I’ve got you.”
It was warm. Heavy.
But steady.
“Hold on to me,” he said, voice low. “Don’t look down. Don’t think about anything else. Just me.”
And then — the fall.
You screamed.
Not just out of fear but because it was everything all at once. The terror. The relief. The way Caleb held your hand the entire time, grounding you when the sky fell away.
When the ride slowed, your breathing did too.
You didn’t let go.
He didn’t ask you to.
Later, you sat on the grass, away from the lights, a bag of half-eaten cotton candy between you. The fireworks were a long way from happening and there was time to kill.
Caleb leaned back on one hand, the other tucked around your shoulder.
“Sorry,” you murmured.
“For what?”
“We’ve been here for a while now because I did something stupid. I ruined the evening for you... You were so excited.”
“I didn’t bring you up here to make you uncomfortable.” he said finally. Soft. Almost guilty.
You winced. “You didn’t. I just…”
“You hate heights.”
He gave a sheepish little smile, rubbing the back of his neck.
“You think I dragged you out here for the rollercoasters?”
You glanced at him.
“I did it for the fireworks. For the stupid nebula cotton candy. For the look on your face when the parade started. For you. Not the rides.”
You looked down. “I just didn’t want to seem—”
“I don’t need you to be fearless,” he said. “I just need you to be you. That’s all I’ve ever wanted.”
You swallowed hard.
He tugged you in closer. “I’m serious. If you’re scared, if you’re upset, if you hate rollercoasters — I want to know. I want to know you. Not some version of you that’s trying to be what you think I want.”
You looked up at him, eyes stinging a little.
“I do like the parade though,” you whispered.
He smiled , soft and golden, all heart. “Good. Because I booked the best spot for it.”
You tilted your head. “How?”
“I’m a Colonel in the Farspace Fleet,” he said with a wink. “Perks of the uniform.”
You laughed. The sound felt free now.
He watched you with a look you couldn’t name. Something warm. Something more.
Then he said, softly, “Thanks for trusting me.”
You leaned your head on his shoulder. “Thanks for holding my hand.”
He skipped the thrill rides without hesitation, instead loading your arms with candy and glowsticks and ridiculous souvenirs. You sat together on a private bench as the parade passed by, a blur of shimmering lights and music. When the fireworks finally exploded overhead in bursts of gold and violet, he leaned just a bit closer.
“Thanks for coming with me,” he said, his voice low and almost reverent beneath the sky’s celebration. “Even if the rides were a bust.”
“I’d go anywhere with you, Caleb,” you said.
And this time, it wasn’t a lie.
ZAYNE
You stand in front of the mirror, tilting your head as you assess your outfit for the third time. Casual. Put-together—but not trying too hard. The denim jacket is a little snug across your shoulders, the black tee just low-cut enough to count as flirty if Zayne noticed such things. He always seems so calm, so unfazed. And yet, every time he looks at you, your stomach flips like a coin midair.
You check your phone. Zayne.
I’ll pick you up in ten. Wear something comfortable.
Comfortable? That’s rich, considering what he’s roped you into.
Pool.
You had smiled like it was nothing when he’d brought it up over coffee earlier this week, his fingers casually tapping the rim of his mug, eyes steady on yours. “There’s this place I used to go to when I first joined Akso. It’s quiet. Good for unwinding. Would you want to join me? I can teach if you’d like.”
And you, ever the glutton for punishment, had said yes.
You’ve never played pool in your life. Something about the geometry, the angles, the calculated strength of the strike… none of it sounded appealing to you. Your hand-eye coordination is barely enough for catching projectiles thrown at you. But it’s Zayne. Calm, composed, frustratingly attractive Zayne. And he invited you. That has to mean something.
The pool hall is tucked between a laundromat and a late-night ramen bar. A few patrons linger at other tables, but Zayne seems to know the owner, and within minutes, he’s leading you to a far table in the corner, away from the noise.
He’s already in his element, chalking his cue. “We’ll start with the basics,” he says, offering you a stick. “Grip. Posture. Precision. Pool’s all about intention.”
You take the cue stick and try to mirror him. You can already feel the weight of the evening pressing at the back of your neck like an invisible hand.
The first round is a disaster.
Your fingers curled around the smooth wood, already clammy. You lined up awkwardly, bent forward, and—
Crack.
The cue ball wobbled. It barely tapped the triangle of colored balls, scattering them half-heartedly.
"Solid attempt," Zayne said, not unkindly, but with a teasing tilt to his voice. “You aimed with your heart, not your eyes.”
You told yourself to relax. He didn’t expect you to be great. He wasn’t like that.
Was he?
Zayne moved with confidence, sinking two shots in a row. His posture was perfect, movements fluid. When he lined up his next shot, he looked back at you briefly, one brow raised as if to say, You watching? You nodded, smiled. Pretended to be fascinated by the game instead of calculating how many more turns you’d have to humiliate yourself.
Your second shot went worse than the first. Your hand slipped on the bridge, the ball skidded, and you felt your cheeks heat. Zayne came up behind you then, gently placing his hand on your arm to guide your posture.
“Here,” he murmured, breath warm near your ear. “Relax your grip.”
Your fingers froze.
He was so close. His hand so steady. Yours... not.
You nodded. Said nothing. Tried again. Failed again.
The next few rounds were even worse. You miss the cue ball entirely once. Twice. Then you scratch it. You try to laugh, but it comes out thin. Zayne doesn’t scold you, he’s not cruel, but he’s precise, his words clipped with surgical clarity.
You nod. Try again. Fail. Again.
“Your wrist’s too loose.”
“You’re leaning too far. Keep your core stable.”
“Don’t look at the cue, look through the shot.”
With each miss, your shoulders tighten. Your knuckles go white around the stick. You feel the blood drain from your face as a couple nearby chuckles softly. You know it’s not about you, but your skin crawls with embarrassment anyway. You didn’t like people watching you mess up.
Zayne watches, silent for a few beats. Then he speaks, voice lower this time. “You’re holding your breath.”
You hadn’t realized you were.
He places his cue stick down gently and walks toward you, his steps soundless on the hardwood floor. He stops just within reach, but doesn’t touch you.
“You’re not enjoying this.” he says softly.
You froze mid-bend.
“I—” you began, but he raised a hand.
“Don’t lie.”
You straightened slowly, cue stick still in hand. “I didn’t want to disappoint you,” you admitted, voice barely above the background hum of the jukebox. “You’re so good at this. I just wanted to spend time with you.”
The silence between you was soft, not sharp.
“I invited you here because I like spending time with you,” he said. “Not because I needed a pool partner.”
You blinked at him, uncertain.
He continued, voice lower now. “I can be... singularly focused. Too much, sometimes. But I don’t want you pretending to be okay with something just because I picked it.”
Your grip on the cue loosened. “I didn’t want to ruin the evening.”
He tilted his head. “It would ruin it more if you spent it uncomfortable.”
You want to deny it. Laugh it off. But your throat is tight, and your heart feels like it’s pressed against a wall.
“I just—” You force a shrug. “I wanted to spend time with you. That’s all.”
Zayne studies your face. “So you dragged yourself into something you hate just to do that?”
“I don’t hate it,” you mutter. “I just... don’t belong here. Pool isn’t exactly my thing.”
His expression shifts, not amusement, not disappointment. Just something softer. Quieter. The kind of look someone gives when they see through you instead of at you.
“I noticed,” he murmurs. “Your shoulders were locked. You didn’t blink once in thirty seconds.”
You try to smile. “So much for subtlety.”
Zayne chuckles. It’s a quiet sound, rare, but warm. “I’m a doctor,” he says. “Reading body language is half the job.”
There’s a pause. Then he leans forward—not close enough to touch, but close enough that you can smell the faint trace of cologne on his shirt. He lowers his voice. “Next time you want to spend time with me... just say it. You don’t have to contort yourself into something you're not. It wouldn’t feel right if you were uncomfortable the whole time.”
You blink, stunned into silence.
“I don’t want your time if it costs you your ease,” he adds. “That’s not the kind of presence I want to be in your life.”
Your chest aches, not with shame, but something closer to relief. The kind that comes when someone lifts the weight off your shoulders before you even realize how heavy it’s been.
He straightens up and gently takes the cue stick from your hands.
“Come on,” he says. “Let’s ditch this and go to that ramen place next door. You can make fun of my spice tolerance there. Does that sound good to you?”
You grin, heart hammering, the tension finally cracking like ice. “Only if you let me steal your gyoza.”
“Negotiable,” he says, brushing past you with the ghost of a smile. “Come. The night is far from over. You don’t have to change who you are around me,” he said, tone calm but sincere. “I’d rather have the truth.”
Your heart thudded, unsteady but warm.
You nodded. “Next time... you’ll be the one out of your element.”
He smirked. “I look forward to it.”
And he meant it.
XAVIER
The elevator hums quietly as you check your reflection for the fifth time.
Comfortable. Cute. Relaxed. That was the goal.
You’d chosen your favorite knit sweater — the one just baggy enough to hang off one shoulder — and paired it with soft leggings, fuzzy socks, and a warm-toned scrunchie pulling your hair back in a loose twist. A look that said, “I didn’t try that hard,” while clearly being planned down to the scent of the vanilla lip balm on your mouth.
Because this wasn’t just dinner.
It was dinner at Xavier’s apartment.
You cradle the two grocery bags in your arms a little tighter, filled with neatly packed slices of marbled beef, a few delicate cuts of lamb, some fresh shitake, enoki, and bok choy, plus the greens. There’s also a small six-pack of fruit-flavored soda you thought he might like — and two mochi ice cream desserts in your bag's chill pouch.
You’d been excited all day.
Xavier’s apartment was what you expected: neat, quiet, lightly decorated in soft colors and odd trinkets he didn’t think twice about but made your eyes linger.
In the center of the living space, a low table had been arranged with two cushions on either side and a full hot pot setup. The induction stove was small but new, clean and white, already buzzing gently beneath a divided metal pot. Steam curled lazily into the air.
He padded barefoot across the room, sleeves rolled, hair loose and a little ruffled from sleep, and took the bags from your arms wordlessly. When you tried to insist you could help, he simply said, “Sit. You’re the guest.”
And so you sat.
And then he poured the broth packets in. The setup was clean and minimalist, just like him — a pale wood table, small ceramic sauce dishes, dipping bowl sets, and a yin-yang shaped hot pot cooker with two separate sides of broth.
Except this time… both sides were red.
Not a gentle tomato-based red.
Not one side miso, not mushroom.
The liquid turned dark crimson almost instantly.
You blinked.
“Hot Mala. It’s… strong,” he said. He stirred with a lazy rhythm, the aroma already clawing at the back of your throat.
You swallowed hard. Bright crimson oil glistened on the surface, flecked with floating peppercorns and crushed chili. You felt your soul begin to sweat.
“...Both sides?” you asked, feigning a casual glance.
“Spicy’s better,” Xavier said, crouching at the table. “I only bought the twin-pot style because the seller said it was popular.”
Your tongue already tingled at the idea of the red broth. You weren’t just bad with spice — you were barely functioning around a mildly spicy samosa. Anything more, and your eyes would water and your face would burn like a reactor core meltdown.
But you looked at him — quiet, warm, fond in that unreadable way of his as he placed dipping bowls beside the stove.
And you smiled. You did what you always did with people who mattered more to you than your own comfort.
Because the thought that you might ruin this calm, carefully arranged evening over something like spice tolerance made your chest tighten.
“It looks perfect,” you said.
He sat across from you, cross-legged and relaxed in dark joggers and a white hoodie, a bold choice for hot pot, especially with the red broth.
He leaned over the table with all the grace of a sleepy cat, selecting slices of meat and guiding them into the red broth with long chopsticks.
“You brought good cuts,” he noted, nodding. “I trust your judgment.”
And then, a pause — his eyes narrowed a little at the pile of greens beside him.
“Except… this.”
You laughed softly. “It’s not that bad.”
He gave the vegetables a look that could only be described as betrayal. “It smells like sadness.”
You tried not to laugh. But your heart twisted. Not because of his words.
Because while he bantered the smell of chili oil and peppercorn was already beginning to sting your throat. You reached for your dipping bowl, adding soy sauce, onions, minced garling, lime and sesame paste with trembling fingers, trying to busy yourself.
And when he dropped your favorite mushroom into the red broth, you didn’t protest.
You only smiled.
The first bite singed.
You chewed slowly, nodding like it was fine, like your tongue wasn’t slowly blistering from the inside out. You chased it with soda. Swallowed a second piece — lamb this time — and made a soft sound that you hoped passed for enjoyment but probably sounded more like someone dying of quiet regret.
You blinked the tears back.
He watched you.
You looked down at your bowl.
“Too spicy,” he said, softly.
Your fingers tightened on the chopsticks. “No. It’s okay.”
“It’s not.”
You flinched, barely. He was still neutral in tone — not accusatory. Just… certain. Like a man who already knew the sky was blue and didn’t need convincing.
“I didn’t want to ruin it,” you said quietly. “You were excited.”
“I’m always excited to see you,” he said, without a hint of irony. “But I’m not excited to watch you suffer.”
That stilled you.
“I thought you didn’t notice.”
“I notice everything about you.” His chopsticks stilled above the pot. “I just don’t always know what I’m supposed to do with it.”
You laughed despite yourself, hand gripping your drink as you coughed lightly. “Okay. I admit it. I’m bad with spice. But I didn’t want to say anything.”
“Why?”
You hesitated. “Because I… uh… You invited me. I didn’t want to be difficult.”
His gaze didn’t waver. “You’d rather be in pain than tell me the truth?”
You winced. “When you say it like that, it sounds stupid.”
“It is,” he said gently. Then added, “But I’ve done worse.”
Then he shifted.
With a flick of his wrist, he transferred the vegetables — yes, even the sad greens — and a generous portion of meat into a plate. He grabbed the serving ladle and began to scoop the broth from one section of the pot into a bowls.
“I have a mild instant soup base in the kitchen, it's delicious too.” he said, standing up. “Give me five minutes.”
“You don’t have to—”
“I do.”
You blinked again, but this time not from spice.
“Why?”
“Because you’re here,” he said simply, walking to the kitchen. “And I like that you’re here.”
Your throat tightened.
The new broth was clear, soft, comforting. The moment he brought it out, you wanted to cry.
Not just from the relief of no longer melting from the inside out.
But because someone had noticed.
Listened.
And changed something just for you.
“You didn’t have to,” you said softly as you ate. “Really.”
“I know.”
And then, as if to demonstrate further solidarity, he reached into the spicy broth, pulled out a bok choy… and stared at it like it was his mortal enemy. Then, with slow determination, he bit into it.
His whole face remained unchanged.
But you saw the twitch.
“…Was it worth it?” you asked.
“No,” he said, deadpan. “But now we’re even.”
Later, when you left, he walked you to the door barefoot, holding the empty mochi container like it was the most interesting thing in the world.
“Next time,” he said, after a pause, “you pick the broth.”
“Next time?”
He blinked. “If you want.”
You looked up at him.
He stood in the doorway — hoodie sleeves half-pushed, hair still tousled, the faint scent of chili oil clinging to him like a memory. His expression was unreadable again. But the warmth behind it? That wasn’t hard to see at all.
“I’d like that,” you said.
And you were already planning it.
RAFAYEL
You shouldn’t have said yes.
That thought rings in your head as the last rays of evening sunlight melt into amber, stretching across the mirror-glass surface of the lake. Everything is quiet — too quiet — save for the light chirp of insects and the steady ripple of water as Rafayel swims deeper, his silhouette cutting sleek lines through the reflection of the sky.
He’s graceful.
Unfairly so.
Water clings to his skin like it belongs there, catching on his lashes, beading along his shoulders, tracing the lines of muscle down his back and arms as he moves. And you, standing at the shallow edge in your swimsuit, arms folded like a makeshift barrier, feel like a tangled bundle of nerves held together by one wrong decision.
Not the lack of footing. Not the invisible things beneath the surface. Not the way your limbs felt disconnected and sluggish, or how you could never quite get the rhythm of your strokes right without swallowing water or tipping awkwardly sideways like an overfilled tote bag.
You could swim. Technically.
You just… didn’t like it.
It was clumsy. You were clumsy. You’d passed the mandatory swimming exam at school, survived a few hotel pools on holidays ut lakes? Open water? With things brushing against your legs, invisible weeds tangling near your feet, the ground disappearing beneath you with nothing to hold?
It made your skin crawl.
But the way Rafayel’s eyes lit up when he talked about it… You didn’t want to ruin that.
So you came.
You still remember yesterday evening when Rafayel had flashed that impish grin and tossed you with “Wear something cute. I’m kidnapping you for a swimming adventure. No complaints,” — you’d said yes.
Because he was Raf.
And part of you always said yes to him. Hoping, stupidly, that it might be something worth remembering.
Maybe he’d laugh. Maybe he’d tease. Maybe he’d say something flippant and walk away…
Or maybe — just maybe — he’d notice you like you notice him.
“You’re not gonna melt, cutie,” he calls from a few meters out, resting easily on the surface of the water. He floats with infuriating elegance, his arms outstretched and his purple hair haloed around his head. “Or are you actually made of sugar?”
You snort softly, hugging yourself tighter. “I just… don’t want to ruin the peace. It’s nice just watching.”
“You mean it’s nice watching me.” He grins. “Go ahead. Get your fill. I don’t blame you…”
Your lips twitch despite yourself.
And that was Rafayel in a sentence — smug, sharp-tongued, beautiful enough to get away with it. But underneath the teasing, you knew his invitation wasn’t just about swimming.
He wanted to share something.
And you wanted to be part of that world , his world , even if it made your stomach twist.
So you step in.
Slowly. The water’s cool against your skin, not cold, but shocking in contrast to the warm evening air. You move step by careful step, feeling the soft sand shift beneath your toes, the occasional ripple brushing your calf like phantom fingers.
It’s fine.
You can do this.
You make it chest-deep before you hear his voice again.
“Come closer.”
He’s farther now, maybe eight or nine meters out, treading water with that casual, effortless grace.
You hesitate.
He notices.
There’s a pause — one of those strange suspended silences that exist only between people who know each other too well and not well enough at the same time.
Then you smile. Not because you feel okay, but because you want him to feel okay.
And you swim.
Clumsily. Arms too wide, breath too shallow. You keep your chin above water, trying not to panic, trying not to think about the darkness beneath your feet or the silt that clouds around your knees when you kick.
But then — something brushes you.
A slip of lake weed? A fish? A strand of hair?
It doesn’t matter.
Terror shoots up your spine like ice.
You gasp sharply, flail, and instinct kicks in — wild, desperate kicks, arms slapping water, trying to go anywhere but where you are. You can’t feel the bottom anymore. You can’t find a rhythm. Panic closes your throat like a fist—
And then he’s there.
Strong hands caught you.
You didn’t even realize he’d come until his arms wrapped around your waist, one hand steady at your back, the other curling under your thigh to anchor you as you trembled.
“Hey. Hey,” Rafayel’s voice was lower now. All the teasing had dropped out. “I’ve got you. You’re alright.”
You tried to speak, but your throat burned. Your hands clutched at his shoulders instead, nails digging in. He didn’t flinch.
His face is close. Closer than it’s ever been. Water drips from his lashes, and for once, there’s no smirk, no teasing spark. Just something… protective. “I’ve got you,” he murmurs. “Breathe. You’re fine.”
And somehow, you do.
He holds you for a moment longer. You feel the strength in him, the calm. The quiet assurance that, at least in this moment, nothing would dare happen to you.
And then you’re moving.
Back toward the shore.
He doesn’t drag. He glides, guiding you like something precious — like you’re worth holding onto.
“I didn’t know,” he said, his voice just above a whisper, “You should’ve told me you didn’t want to swim.”
“I didn’t… I thought I could handle it,” you croaked out, cheeks burning with shame. “I didn’t want to ruin it.”
“Idiot, guppy” he muttered, but there was no venom in it. “You think I brought you here to watch you suffer?”
You didn’t answer. You couldn’t. The humiliation was sharp and bitter in your chest, mixing with the leftover panic.
He walked the last few steps, carrying you until the water kissed only your calves. When he set you down, your legs wobbled.
“You could’ve drowned,” he said quietly. “And then what would I do? Swim around this stupid lake yelling at your ghost?” He knew he wouldn’t have let that happen. So did you. But he was making a fair point.
That startled a laugh out of you, hoarse and awkward, but it made him smile.
“I’m sorry,” you whispered. “I just… I didn’t want to say no to you.”
He looked at you, for a long moment. Eyes clearer than usual. “You don’t have to prove anything to me,” he said. “If you want to spend time with me, just say so. You don’t have to drown for it, cutie.”
You blinked. Then frowned. “So what, you’re not gonna make fun of me?”
“Oh no,” he smirked, the old glint back in his eye. “I am absolutely making fun of you. But—” He reached for your towel, flicking it playfully over your head, “…only after I make sure you're not cold, scared, or crying.”
He plopped down beside you on the ground, towel around his shoulders, hair dripping. The lake shimmered behind him, but he didn’t spare it another glance.
He looked only at you. “You’re an idiot,” he says, voice bright with performative scorn. “A pretty, sweet, stubborn idiot.”
You blink.
He reaches out and dries your wet hair with surprisingly gentle fingers using the towel. Then, with a smirk pulling at the corner of his mouth, he says, “Next time, you sit on the shore, look pretty, and cheer for me. Deal?”
You open your mouth to protest.
“And,” he adds, lifting a finger, “You’ll bring snacks. Preferably something cold. I’ll get out, pretend to suffer from exertion, and you’ll feed me with loving devotion while telling me how brave I am.”
You laugh. This time, genuinely.
“…Deal.”
He bumped your shoulder with his, light and easy. “That’s my good little guppy.”
And somehow, as the light faded and the stars blinked into view above the treetops — you didn’t feel so out of your depth anymore.

On TikTok I saw a comment where a woman said that she told her husband to pretend to be unconscious so he was dead weight to see if she could drag him out of the house in case of fire or emergency, she couldn’t even pull him off the bed and she cried so he had comfort her while dying laughing😭😭😂 reminded me of something biker Bucky and Gorgeous would do
Pairing: Biker!Bucky x Reader
A/N: Written on my phone, unbetad.
Bucky groans dramatically. "You might as well just leave me here and save yourself Gorgeous."
You keep pulling him with all your strength but he barely budges an inch. You might be able to move him if he'd stop talking.
He doesn't.
"Bury me with my bike." Bucky cracks open an eye, his lips twitching. "And a pair of your panties."
"I'm not doing that." A laugh spills past your lips before you can stop it.
You can't concentrate with him cracking jokes like this. Yeah that's the reason you're struggling to move this six foot something man. It's all his fault.
You keep laughing but the more he thinks about it, the more he likes the idea. "Matter fact, line my casket with your panties and toss in a few of those pics I have on my phone."
"Oh my god."
"I'll know if you disregarded my last wishes," he casually warns, like his massive body isn't splayed on the bedroom floor. Like he's still not budging despite the fact that you're putting your all into this.
"Shut. Up."
"Mourn me for the rest of your life," he sighs sadly, head lolling to the side. Bucky hasn't broken character once, he's fully committed to this bit. "Keep a shrine of me in our bedroom."
"Bucky I'm trying to focus," your breathless giggle lost under a grunt when you try to shove him to the side. Nothing. Damn it.
Eyeing his shirtless, tattooed body, you try new a new approach. Adjusting your grip, you hook your fingers under his upper arms. You can barely get your hands around half of his large, warm biceps. Bracing your feet on the floor, you pull so hard you feel your muscles tremble and ache. He slides up a centimeter.
"Don't even think about moving on."
"Be quiet," you start. Releasing his arms, you wince when they hit the floor with a thud. You'd have better luck moving a pile of bricks than your man. "What would you do if I did?"
You're teasing but Bucky takes you very seriously.
He doesn't play when it comes to you. Or his burial requests.
He slowly opens his eyes, his darkening gaze captures yours. "I will haunt you for the rest of your life," he states confidently. "No guy will even breathe in your direction by time I'm done with them. You're going to have a rep because of me."
There's no time to process that because his hands suddenly reach out, grabbing your ankles. You're tugged forward, turned and twisted—somehow he manages to squeeze your ass a couple of times—until you're flat on his chest, his pecs under your palms.
Bucky smiles, his hand cups the back of your head and he brings your face close to his. "If you think I'm a menace now, imagine what my ghost will be like. Just imagine what ghost me would do to you. I'd get rid of your little replacement and then you'd get all my attention. Remember ghost me isn't going to get tired."
Oh.
Oh.
Oh no.
Well maybe that could be fun. Wait.
Your eyes widen at the images his words are creating. He chuckles under his breath. "Yeah, that's what I thought."
Resting your chin on his chest, you have to admit, no man would ever measure up to your bike. And if anyone could find a way to come back and haunt someone, it would be the handsome, incorrigible man under you.
"So you want all my panties or just your favorites?"
"Gorgeous. How many times do we have to go over this? All your panties are my favorite."
"Fine," you concede, failing to hold back a smile. "But you promised me a lifetime together and I'm holding you to that."
Bucky brushes his lips across yours in one sweet, sure motion. His deep voice rolls over your skin leaving goosebumps in its wake. "I have no intention of leaving you anytime soon. I got too many plans for you, Gorgeous."
All of his plans revolve around loving you, protecting you, being with you, caring for you any way you'll let him.
And he's going take his time getting through every last one of them.

Pins and Needles
Lando X Bff!Fewtrell!Reader
Summary: Y/N doesn't know where she and Lando stand anymore. Their once-tight friendship soon started to tear at the seams.
Warning(s): just pure angst, Lando being toxic (sorry y'all), making out, Charles Leclerc incoming, depression, lack of self-worth
A/N : I can't help myself y'all ok 🥲 This one is gonna hurt, I'm sorry but also not sorry. Enjoy 🙂 (Written and inspired by Nessa Barrett's song Pins and Needles)

Hand on the stove, I barely feel it
And when I let go, I'm already healing
This was not how it was supposed to go.
How it was supposed to wind up.
Y/N didn't even know how she got herself into this situation.
Deep down, she knew exactly how she got herself into this situation, she just didn't want to admit to it.
It started when one drunk night at the club in Monaco led to her becoming tangled up in her best friend's sheets, whispering sweet nothings to one another. The sly touches as the sun crept through the blackout curtains the next morning.
That was when their situation bloomed. Things had become messier between Lando and Y/N.
Little did Y/N realize just how deep she had fallen for the man she had known almost her entire life. He was comfortable. Familiar. Trustworthy.
At the start.
Things at the beginning were smooth. Nothing but absolute lust, addiction, and hunger. It rose and rose, some moments almot becoming reckless.
They couldn't keep their hands off one another. From sneaking around the paddock, to the club bathrooms, to the bedroom next door to Max's. It became reckless. Animals in heat. The craving was insatiable.
The pair didn't know if the sneaking around made them this way, or the fact that it was supposed to be a forbidden relationship. Max would've had Lando's head. He'd have six feet under the ground.
She didn't mean to fall more in love with the boy. She thought it would be harmless. Her feelings would subside. Not do the complete opposite and skyrocket. The way he had begun to treat their little situationship as if they were together is what got her the most.
He made her feel like she was the only one.
Till he slowly became more sloppy. Bailing out on plans more often, leaving her high and dry while saying something came up. The distance became clearer. It was the late-night visits that were only making a daily appearance. No talking, just becoming tangled in the bedsheets.
Their friendship had begun to fade out, only turning into meaningless sex. At least that's what she believed.
She never understood why. What had she done for him to pull away slowly? What was she missing?
Y/N couldn't tell anyone, as she didn't have anyone she told about it. Not trusting a single soul to keep it quiet if things got tricky. Especially not when Max had no idea of what was happening behind closed doors.
When he began to ask why her mood had become more glum, as if she had almost faded. She just used the excuse of lack of sleep, or was just having one of those days.
He didn't question it, only gave her a lingering look, then didn't push further. He knew better.
It wasn't long till she found out why. Why Lando pulled away from her, let their friendship fade out, as well as their late night hookups.
They say your name, I don't even hear it
You dug your own grave, and nobody's grieving
The articles all read and show him with a new girl, a blonde model and actress. She was pretty. His type, too. He looked happy, a genuine smile on his lips as he looked at her.
That's when she noticed the way her chest tightened, crashed in on itself.
He had been seeing this girl, Magui, she thinks her name was, without saying a thing to her. She thought they were close enough that he would've been honest. He has never lied to her. In all the years she had known him, it wasn't something he did.
She remembered when she found out, she sat there trying to figure out what to say to him. Her first message sounded angry. Hurt, betrayed, lost, and confused.
Instead, she clicked the power button off, thinking it was best to not say a word. Instead, she let it fade away. Let him fade away.
There had been a day Y/N was at her brother's, sitting on the barstool while he cooked food with Pietra.
"Is she nice?" she asks, hinting at Lando's new girl. Max looked at her with an unsure gaze, shrugging his shoulders.
"From what I can tell, yeah," he answers. "Still a bit skeptical about her, though. About her past, mainly. Everything is still unclear about what happened between her and Luisna. Lando won't really talk about it."
She nods, deciding not to push any further, picking at the food on her plate.
"Have you heard from him lately?" Pietra asks this time. "I haven't seen you two around one another lately. Usually it's hard to pull you both away from the other," she tries to joke. Max looked back at his sister with just as curious of a look.
"You two haven't been talking?" he asks, Y/N just shrugs.
"Not really," she admits. "Always says something's come up. It's fine, I'm not gonna push it. He's happy."
Max looks at her with a little bit of shock on his face. "You two have been close for years. Closer than him and me, why would he just push you away?"
Y/N knew the real answer to it, but she couldn't give that away. As she knew Max would lose his shit if he knew. Lando would be lucky to leave the brawl with a head on his shoulders if Max found out.
So instead, the girl just shrugs. "Don't know. Just assumed maybe he doesn't want to make things look weird with his new girl. Probably doesn't want her to think anything else."
Max scoffs playfully at that, pouring his eggs onto his own plate. "Trust me, if there was more, I would've known. She wouldn't have had anything to worry about. He'd have a lot more to deal with if that were the case."
She just stays silent, Pietra sensing the awkwardness in the room, deciding to change the subject.
Shot my heart with Novacane
Ice-cold, cut off my blood flow
It had turned into hearing from Lando every other week, and maybe seeing him when he came to help with collabs for Quadrant. When the pair would be streaming with the other streamers, he wouldn't so much as acknowledge her in the chat.
It would be short answers if anything.
Her chest burned every time she made eye contact with him, the gazes between the pair always having something between them. Something she couldn't quite explain.
It wasn't until she had been dragged out to a race day with Max and P, that she could feel the need to hide away in a corner for the rest of her life.
She kept her distance whenever Lando would come around, the boy not missing the way she would excuse herself when he came by.
He should've known.
He caused the tension between them. He pulled back when he only wanted to get closer to her.
He found another girl while in denial of how deeply in love he was with his homeboy's sister, and his best friend. Magui was his way out. His escape from his reality. Even if it wasn't the right way.
He had to let Y/N go, even if it meant he couldn't be in her life anymore.
At least that's what he told himself.
You think you're important,, boy, I've got bad news
You're mean and you're boring, they'll all forget you
Y/N had been standing over by the motorhomes, sipping on the coffee in her hand, when she felt someone bump into her back. The sip had turned into a mess, dripping down onto her white tube top she wore on the hot day.
She turned around to meet the eyes of a familiar Monégasque man, who looked at her in horror. "Shit, Y/N I am so sorry," he nervously chuckles, his eyes seeing the new stain on her top. "I should've been more careful. I was so caught up in the conversation I-"
"Charles," she giggles, making him look at her. "It's okay. At least it wasn't a hot coffee, yeah?"
He snorts while rubbing the back of his neck. "Now that I definitely would've never heard the end of."
She chuckles. "You still won't hear the end of this one," she jokes, making him give her a genuine smile before chuckling back at her. He motions to her shirt.
"At least lemme help get you a new top? I can't bear the thought of you having to be stuck with explaining how the stain came about."
"Ahhh I see you want to protect your perfect image, I suppose?" she tuts playfully, making him widen his eyes.
"What? No I meant like it would probably be annoying having to say the story a thousand times, or you could get weird looks from people, or-"
"Oh my goodness, Charles! I'm joking," she laughs while putting her hands on his shoulders. She watches him visibly relax at her touch and her words, rubbing his hand over his face.
"Sorry, I just," he chuckles breathlessly. "You make me nervous, is all."
She raises her brows, a small smirk on her lips. "Oh, I do now?"
He rolls his eyes with a groan. "I'm never gonna hear the end of this."
She hums. "I didn't know I made the famous Ferrari driver nervous," she jokes while crossing her arms and giving him a knowing look.
His eyes flicker down from her eyes to her lips for a split second, then he smiles at her. "A little."
"A little?"
He purses his lips. "Okay a bit more than a little."
She laughs at his little confession, Charles pinching her waist as he pulls her with him. "You can give me shit later," he laughs. "But right now let's go get you changed into something that doesn't have a stain on it."
She lets him drag her along to the Ferrari paddock, in search of Rebecca and Carlos, knowing the WAG always had a backup set of clothing on her when need be.
Once Charles had found them, he explained the situation, watching as Rebecca lit up and happily said she'd lend a helpful hand.
Y/N followed the girl, keeping up the small talk as they made their way to the Ferrari motorhome, where Rebecca had a cute top waiting for Y/N.
She knew she wouldn't hear the end of it, the color of the top being a bright Ferrari red. It was a one-shoulder cropped tank top, the color sitting beautifully on her skin. Rebecca gave her a low whistle, causing Y/N to chuckle and roll her eyes.
"Red looks so good on you," she says, making Y/N shrug. Rebecca gives her a knowing look, but says nothing as the pair made their way back to the paddock.
Charles did a double take when she returned, his eyes taking in the red top that adorned her skin.
He smiled as he walked up to her. "Red is your color I think," he says, making her roll her eyes.
"Rebecca said the same thing," she answers, watching him nod. "She's never wrong."
Y/N thanks Rebecca one more time, alongside a hug. "Think about it," Rebecca whispers into the girl's ear before pulling away with a wink.
Charles then walks Y/N back over to the McLaren paddock where her brother and P sat. Max frowned at his sister. "I've been looking for you. Where did you run off to?" his eyes then dart to the new top she was wearing, then back to Charles. He gave Max a look.
"I bumped into her and thought I could help her get a new top," he explains. "I felt bad. So blame me for stealing her. Sorry, mate."
Max chuckles while nodding. "Of course it's a red top too," he jokes, Charles ears turning bright red, he puts his hands up in defense.
"Blame Rebecca for that one," he sputters, Max doing a once-over with a smug smirk while nodding slowly. "Uh-huh," Max trails off. "Well, thank you for helping her out," he says, a smug smirk only getting wider.
Charles nods curtly, before facing Y/N with a small smile, and squeezes her side. "Good seeing you, cherie," he mutters to her, kissing her cheek before he leaves her. Y/N realizing her side feeling slightly colder than it did when his hand was there.
She turns to watch him leave and head down the stairs, biting her lip without realizing it. Her head turns back to face her brother and Pietra.
The pair is staring at her with smug and knowing smiles. Max leans back in his seat, crossing his arms and clearing his throat.
Y/N squints her eyes at them. "What?" Watching her brother nod at her.
"Someone has a crush."
She scoffs at her brother. "You're reading into things," she chuckles while shaking her head.
Pietra laughs. "Oh, honey, no. You two were staring at each other like you want to-"
"Don't even say what you're going to say," Max whines, covering his face. "I don't need to hear that."
Y/N just laughs, pointing at Pietra. "You're wrong on top of that."
Pietra rolls her eyes with a smirk, and before she can argue further, Lando is seen walking up to the group, making Y/N want to fade away.
Lando sees her, only doing a double-take when he sees the color of her shirt, also realizing that this was indeed not the color she was wearing earlier. He slowly points at her shirt, Max chuckles.
"Dear old Ferrari man has a crush on my sister," Max admits, then points at her. "She's crushing on him as well."
"Maxwell!" Y/N hisses, watching him crack up. She doesn't miss the way Lando's facial expression drops, something unreadable in his expression.
"What d'you mean?" he asks slowly. Y/N groans while hiding her face.
"What he means," Pietra starts. "Charles spilled coffee on her and helped her get a new shirt. And apparently that was his chance to get her in red."
Lando's eyes snapped down to Pietra, Max just sitting there in a fit of giggles as his sister kicks his shin.
"He was just being helpful," Y/N grumbles. "Besides, Rebecca was the one who gave it to me. Not Charles."
Max looks back at her. "Sure, we know that," he says between laughs. "But the eye fucking you two were doing before he left said more than that. Especially that little kiss move-"
"He kissed you?" Lando cuts in, his tone sharp and stern. Max and Pietra look at him with certain looks. His head and eyes only focused on Y/N in that moment, who was now shifting on her feet with her arms crossed.
"It was just on the cheek," she rolls her eyes before glaring at Max. "Stop making it sound like he laid me out on the table or something," she hisses, making Lando choke on his spit while Max gagged.
"That's vile, do not ever say that again," he points at his sister with a disgusted look. "Second, I'm only saying it because I think you two would be good together."
That makes her eyes widen in shock, watching him put his hands up in defense.
"Say what now? I thought you said no racers."
He hums with a nod before pointing out to Lando. "Yeah, I said that mainly for that one," he says, missing how his mate clenched his jaw. "Charles, on the other hand? I hope it does happen. He's one of the good ones."
Y/N coughs awkwardly, not missing the way Lando scoffed at his best friend's words, mumbling something under his breath as he crossed his arms.
"Can we just change the subject, please? I'm not crushing on Charles, and I'm not going to date him."
Max gives her a knowing look before turning his gaze towards Lando. He frowns. "You good, mate?" he asks, watching as Lando snaps his gaze at Max. He nods curtly.
"Just don't care to hear about her sex life, you muppet. Charles is a player and only wants what he can't have," he admits, not missing the way Y/N glared straight to the side of his face. "Anyways, we're getting ready to start. I was gonna walk you lots to the club level."
Max nods before taking Pietra's hand to guide her. Lando kept his pace next to Y/N's, the girl not missing how his hand would brush against hers every so often.
She could see the gears turning in his head, clenching his jaw every so often, as if he was preventing himself from saying or doing something he might regret. Max and Pietra were further ahead of them, happily making their way to the balcony in the club level of the paddock, overlooking the racetrack.
"He can't give you what I can," the brit says next to her, causing her to snap her gaze at him with a frown. She scoffs.
"That's awfully daft, coming from you," she shoots back. "You ghosted me, remember? You don't have a say in my actions."
"Oh, so you are seeing Leclerc huh?"
She scoffs. "Go check on your girlfriend, Norris. The one you dropped me for."
He glares at her. "Y/N-"
"End of discussion, Lando."
She walks away, a part of her wanting him to grab her and pull her back. Show her she was his. Even if it was behind closed doors. The other part of her was happy he didn't. She wanted him to see that he couldn't have her. He missed the opportunity.
Don't call me your ex, 'cause I never met you
She kept close to her brother and P the entire race, zoning out the entire time the race went on.
Her mind didn't know what to think.
She missed Lando. She really did.
The other part of her though, was also pulling towards Charles.
Y/N couldn't tell if it was just because of how Lando reacted, or because of how she felt a new feeling whenever Charles was near her.
Or how she caught her stare lingering longer on Charles as he took P2. Or how his eyes found hers in the crowd, staring back at her, his smile becoming wider when he saw she was staring first.
It's all pins and needles, babe
I feel nothing for you, nothing for you
Now, here she stood, in the VIP section of the Monaco club after Lando placed P1 at his home race.
She had a drink in her hand, pretty sure the glass could break under her grip. Her eyes did not leave the way his hands and body moved with the blonde on the dancefloor.
At this point she couldn't tell if she was jealous, or pissed off. Or both.
She watched as his hands moved along her body, how his lips never left her body as they danced. He looked like a wet dream.
"You hold onto that glass any tighter, it's gonna shatter and cut up that pretty hand," a familiar French accent says next to her. Her eyes snap out of the daze, turning to see Charles taking the spot next to her.
He nods at her slowly. "You alright, cherie?" he asks her, making her laugh to herself before spinning a finger around the rim of her glass.
"Honestly, I don't know," she admits, looking back at his confused frown. "Can I be honest?"
"Always."
She sighs. "I had been seeing this guy. We weren't anything exclusive, but at the same time, it felt like it. Then out of nowhere, he just stops. No explanation, no excuses, nothing. Just drops me like I'm nothing," she explains, letting a bitter chuckle leave her lips.
"Then I found out it's because he had another girl. I don't even know how long. It was just out of the blue, and I guess I shouldn't have been as upset as I was about it. But I can't help it."
Charles takes in every word she's saying, nodding and humming at the appropriate times.
"It burns my chest seeing them, seeing him, act like I never even mattered," she admits. "But then, I began to realize something else. There's this other guy. I didn't even realize I felt good around him. Like I could relax around his presence. Forget about why I was so hurt about the other guy," she explains, not even realizing how easy it had become to open up to Charles.
The way his expression showed no judgment. No sense of uneasiness as she spoke. Just a genuine expression that showed he was listening to her.
"And part of me wanted this guy I was seeing," she says more to herself. "But a bigger part of me really wants this guy that makes me feel seen. Heard."
Charles nods at her, taking a sip of his drink. "You alright if I give you my advice?" he asks cautiously.
She nods. "Always," she copies his words, making him grin at her.
He points at Lando. "He's an idiot for letting you go," he admits, watching her face contort to confusion, and then to shock before shaking her head.
"I didn't- How did-"
He laughs at her, stepping closer. "It's not hard to see. You two weren't as slick as you thought," he admits, Y/N feeling her face begin to heat up.
"I'm sorry," she admits with a sigh, looking down at her now-empty glass. "I didn't mean to sound like that. I just- I didn't have anyone I trusted to talk to."
"And I'm just easier to talk to? Someone you trust?" he asks her, leaning his elbow on the bar behind them, a knowing smirk on his lips. She snaps her head to him.
As she was about to say something, he stood up straight, walked to stand in front of her, and took the glass from her fingers. She doesn't miss the way his fingers brush hers, goosebumps rising on her skin. He places the glass on the mahogany behind them, his eyes lowering to her own. She gulps as she watches his smirk widen just slightly, while he places both hands on the bar behind her, caging her in. His face was dangerously close to hers, the Monégasque not missing the way her breaths came out shaky.
"As for this other guy," he starts, his tone lower. Darker. "I think he's very worth your time. He wouldn't make you feel like Lando did. He'd take care of you. Treat you right. Show you how a woman like you should be worshipped."
Y/N feels her pulse quicken. "Besides," he mutters, bringing his lips closer to her own. "If you're choosing between two people, choose the second. Because if you really did like the first option, you wouldn't have fallen for the second."
That got Y/N's insides churning, knowing deep down Charles was right. He was so right.
He chuckled darkly as he watched his chest rising and falling quicker after he said that, placing his lips closer to her ear as he placed a light kiss against the lobe. "The second guy also just really wants to be selfish," he admits.
Y/N smiles slowly at his words, letting herself indulge slowly with Charles. She lets out a gasp as she feels his lips planting feather-light kisses from her jawline, down to her neck and her collarbone.
She finally trails her hands up his button-up, slipping underneath the half-open shirt, slithering to rest on the bare skin of his back just before it meets the crook of his neck. His head leaves her neck, bringing his head closer to her own.
"So this other guy," she says breathlessly. "You think he'd worship me, huh? Show me how worth it I am?"
He hums with a nod, kissing the corner of her lips. Y/N found herself craving more, her body aching for his own against hers. Skin to skin.
"He'd do more than just that," he chuckles against her jaw. "He'd take his time with you. Show you exactly how a woman like you should be appreciated. Till you're shaking."
Y/N lets out a breathless moan at that, one of her hands finding his hair. "Spoil you to death. Treat you like the absolute Queen you are."
Charles brings his head back up to really look at her. Y/N staring back into his own eyes, flicking down to his lips for a split second. "Charles," she says softly, earning a hum from him. "Kiss me please."
That's all it took for Charles to take her jaw in his hands, placing a passionate and messy kiss on her lips. Their teeth clashed, tongues messily battling against one another as she kissed him with such need. Such obsession.
The more they kissed, the more they craved one another. Charles let his hands fall from her jaw to her hips, pulling her lower body into his.
Lando was long forgotten in Y/N's mind. He was the last thing she was thinking of; she could forget his name if Charles kept up the way he touched and kissed her.
Little did she realize, Lando was now frozen in his spot on the floor. His eyes darkened. He glared as he watched the girl his heart yearned for, and the guy who was going to be six feet under if looks could kill.
He could tell it wasn't just for show either. She really wanted Charles. Charles wanted her.
He only knew that because of how she was kissing Charles, it was the way she used to kiss him. His heart hurt, chest tightened. He couldn't tear his eyes away from the scene across the club.
Magui was long forgotten in that moment, Lando realizing he lost the girl he wanted most.
He should've known.
Y/N whines at the loss of Charles' lips when he pulls back, the man looking down at her blown-out state. Her lips swollen as her eyes look up at him with a knowing look.
"What do you say, cherie?" he says slowly, watching her slowly smile.
"I think I'm open to giving this other guy a chance," she jokes, watching him bite his lip to hide the big ear to ear smile that was forming.
He leaned down to kiss her once more, before breaking away and lacing a hand with hers.
Charles began to lead her away from the bar, his gaze locking with Lando's as they passed by.
He didn't miss the way Lando slightly mouthed a 'what the fuck' at his friend, a glare in his direction. Charles held his head up high, smirking at Lando, giving him a sly little wink before he turned his attention to Y/N.
Lando saw the way her eyes looked up at Charles, like she finally felt happy. At ease in his presence. Like she had forgotten Lando existed in that moment. She probably did, and that hit him like a truck.
He watched as Charles placed his other hand on her lower back to help keep her next to him as they pushed through the crowd, making sure not to lose her as they headed out.
Lando didn't even excuse himself from Magui, earning a shocked squeak from her as she watched him rush away from the dancefloor.
Lando scurried past everyone and towards the front entry, pushing past the people who were trying to congratulate him as he passed by.
He didn't give a single fuck about any of them, his mind only thinking about her.
Please. Don't go home with him
His mind begged, wishing she could read minds. Read his.
The way he knew he was already way too late. Months too late.
Once he had gotten outside, he had seen Charles shutting her door before turning to thank the valet workers. His eyes flicked twice over to Lando's state. Trying his best to hide the winning smirk as he saw the disheveled state of the British man.
Charles looked back at his car towards her window, before looking back at Lando. He walked up to him, Lando's gaze hardening as he got closer.
"Don't," Lando warns him.
Warning him to not cross this line. To not take the girl that Charles knew he was so in love with, not take her home. He didn't like this feeling. He hated it.
That's when he realized what it was.
Lando Norris was jealous. He was jealous beyond words.
He never gets jealous.
Not until now.
Charles chuckles at him, patting his shoulder. "Lando," he chuckles. "You ruined your chances. Give her the chance to finally be happy, hm?"
He shook his head. "You can't give her what I can give her."
Charles bites his lower lip before speaking. "That's the point," he begins. "I wouldn't treat her like shit, like you did. I'll give her everything she deserves, and more. Not give her nothing, like you gave her."
That made Lando feel like he had been shot in the chest.
“I won’t ever let her feel or think she’s only good for one thing,” Charles adds, giving Lando a knowing look. Lando’s face drops slightly, then frowns. “I’m going to show her she’s worth more than she could ever imagine. Because she is.” Charles admits, a genuine look in his eyes.
Lando doesn’t know what to say in that moment. He felt defeated.
Because part of him knew (all of him knew) that Charles was good for her. He wouldn’t treat her anything lower than the Goddess she was.
Lando just hated that it wasn’t him.
Charles pats him on the shoulder. "Goodnight, mate," he says before walking away and getting into the car. Lando watched as the pair drove off into the night. Something was burning inside Lando's chest. Burned in his eyes.
Tears.
Jealousy.
Need.
Y/N smiled to herself as Charles and she drove along the roads, his hand gently on her thigh while hers rested on top of his.
Her phone buzzed, not once, not twice, but three times. This caused her to pick it up and look down at it. She thought she would feel something, anything, as she read the messages.
Please, don't go with him. I'm so in love with you
Come back to me, I'll be better. It hurts to see you not with me. Hurts to see you happy with him. I'll prove myself. I'll do better, for you
It's always been you
Y/N takes a deep breath as she begins to type with her free hand.
Your time ran out. A long time ago, Lando. It's time I let myself be happy.
Goodbye Lando
With that, she turned her phone off and looked over at Charles. His eyes gazed back at her, nothing but admiration as he stared at her.
"You okay?" he asks softly. She takes a moment before nodding.
"Yeah," she hums. "I am now."

--misinterpretations.
// first meetings with our beloved deliverer
IN WHICH • You firmly believe a certain Chrisos Heir has his eyes on someone, and it's definitely not you, based on the numerous times you've seen him with the Prince of Kremnos. You conclude that they're in a secret relationship. Or perhaps you've misinterpreted everything all along? (You're fully convinced Phainon is attracted to Mydei).
FEATURING • Phainon
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
You've seen enough for you to come to a conclusion. You have visual evidence, so you're not being unreasonable. And your claim is completely logical and rational.
That blue-haired knight you keep seeing is homosexual, who may or may not be in a secret relationship with the Prince of Kremnos.
You don't know that knight's name, but you are sure that he's well accustomed to the perils of the battlefield.
Well, if you were being honest, you barely know anything about Okhema. You were just a refugee who came from a distant city-state that was now in ruins thanks to the Black Tide.
You arrived just a few weeks ago, bruises and cuts littered your body--the marks of a warrior, they say-- and you're sure you'll be decorated in scars after a few weeks.
But that'd be the case if you do manage to last, and you did, otherwise you wouldn't be witnessing the secrets of that certain knight.
(You don't know the name of that blue-haired knight, so you just gave him the nickname 'knight.')
You didn't bother to ask for his name, since you're a hikikomori and you'd much rather prefer to stay within your living quarters. The Black Tide just had you in a 'cowardly' state. You find comfort and security within the confines of your home, believing that the place not within the walls of your house is dangerous.
Though, there are times where you did step out of your home, but the occurrence is rare, and the duration of your visits to the outside world is short. Not lasting more than a few hours. (The most you've done is 2 hours).
During these trips of yours, you would sometimes catch glimpses of the knight with an ash blonde-haired individual who you learned was Mydeimos, Prince of Kremnos. And during those times, you always, always, saw the two in a very close distance--one that you could not just dismiss as that of friends.
This continued on, with each and every one of your trips, you would accidentally spot those two.
One instance, you saw the two really really close to each other, as if they just finished a kissing scene. (They were whispering about top-secret confidential case. You just saw it wrong).
And you also take note of the trust they put into each other, which you observed via eavesdropping on them, but you could only make out very few lines.
You're sure those two are in a secret relationship. So when rumors broke out that of a certain knight asking a florist for courting rituals, you concluded that the lucky girl, or more accurately, the lucky guy, was Mydeimos.
You knew someone who's been crushing on Phainon for a while now, and you can't deny that you feel bad for them sometimes. But it's not like you could do anything. I mean, you can't just tell her to confess, since Phainon will definitely reject her, and you don't want that happening, so you end up discouraging her instead. You know it's a grim method, but you suppose it's still helpful, right?
So when you got called to the Council of Elders, you had no choice but to abide by them. You went there, begrudgingly, and it seems like it's for a mission to save a group of refugees that are en route to Okhema.
You are aware of how dangerous the outside of Okhema is, so you don't mind why the Council takes the matter seriously. Since you were a former knight yourself (of course you have trauma), you were deployed to handle the mission, along with some others. (You didn't want to go, but you have to abide by it. And it's also kind of obligatory.)
That was the case, until one member argued that Okhema is running low in manpower, and there are various other matters to attend to, so they suggested that a Chrisos heir should handle the current mission, accompanied by you.
The Chrisos heir they wanted to deploy? The 'knight.' More accurately, Phainon. You learned his name is Phainon.
The Council agreed to the member who gave the suggestion.
(The Chrisos heirs are the chosen ones from the prophecy, no? Shouldn't it be fit that they handle things like these? If you view it from this angle, it seems about right. It's objective. The Council is just being rational and objective. Totally not because of their disdain for the Chrisos heirs. And how considerate of them, for putting you into this mess. How truly kind.
As agreed by the Council, you were sent to the borders of Okhema to meet up with Phainon, so the two of you could start the mission. You two made your way to the location of the refugees, carefully navigating through the outside lands of Amphoreus.
You barely spoke a word to him, so he, too, didn't say much in return. It was only when you both reached the location did he start being a little bit more talkative. He'd tell you some snippets from his life, and whatnot. And it wasn't just you, but he also talked to the refugees to ease their worries.
Just from that alone, you can tell Phainon is a really good guy, and now you know why people seem to like him.
When monsters emerged, you were quick to shoot them down with your gun. Though you're not very skilled in close combat, sniping with your gun is where lies your true talent. Even Phainon heavily complimented this talent of yours. (It saved him, after all.)
It took a while, but you slowly began to talk more to him, and to the refugees too.
At last, you reached Okhema safely, with no harm done to the refugees.
After that mission, you and Phainon helped the refugees get settled in. Afterwards, the two of you reported back to the Council. The Council was delighted, and dismissed you two.
(Finally, one less thing to worry about.)
You walked outside of the Council's place, with Phainon at your side. You've grown to be acquainted with him, and the same can be said for him. Only that, his might be a little more complicated.
You already bid him farewell, but he cut you off and asked you if he could treat you for lunch. You were taken aback, but said nothing. (You can't really say no to free food now, can you?)
As much as possible, Phainon wants to prolong this. He finds something akin to comfort while he's in your presence. With you, he doesn't need to act strong and brave, nor feel the need to act according to his title--Phainon, the Chrisos heir, Phainon, the Deliverer.
He's just Phainon. And he likes it that way.
He has no explanation for this phenomena, but he suppose it can be attributed to that one time you saved him. You've met before, a few weeks ago, when you first came to Okhema. Clones of Nikador attacked the Holy City, therefore a battle ensued. But this time, he was on the losing side. Heavily injured, with barely any comrades to aid him, Phainon fought with the best he could do. And when he was cornered, he fell to his knees, and prayed for a savior. His prayers were answered, in the form of a refugee with one heck of an expertise with guns--You, in short.
Shortly after, Mydei and the others came, but by the time Phainon was well, his savior was no longer around to be thanked.
Phainon is not sure if you still remember.
But he'll definitely make it up to you.
"Hey, I actually have this friend Aglea. The demigod? I just need to talk to her after. Do you mind tagging along?" Phainon asks you, his tone light as always. Or at least, that's what you think, when actually, he's been meaning to tell you that minutes ago. He can't help but choose his words carefully out of nervousness.
You nod with a hum. "I don't mind. You're already treating me to food, so why not?"
True to his words, Phainon indeed treated you to lunch, at a quite expensive-looking eatery, which made you raise an eyebrow at him. His eyes consistently stayed glued to your face, staring and gazing as the two of you talked. Mostly about the battlefield, since it's a shared aspect between the two of you. Barely anything personal, really. Phainon takes note of that. Maybe you weren't as open as he thought you were. He will absolutely make sure you'd gradually loosen up to him, someday.
After the two of you finished lunch, you accompanied Phainon to the bath house, where Aglea is. You notice how the people there (Phainon's Chrisos buddies) kept looking at you. Strange, so you made sure to keep your guard up. You finally bid farewell after that.
When you got home, the first thing you noticed was that your bedroom door was slightly ajar. You could've sworn you closed it before your departure. But oh, nevermind.
Consecutively, Phainon kept visiting you without fail for the past few weeks. He even introduced you to the rest of his friends. Including Mydeimos, or Mydei.
So there are friends but are secretly in a relationship? That must mean the others don't know, you thought.
Well, what you didn't know, was that your conclusion was absolutely wrong. You found this out in the most unimaginable way possible.
"Hey Phainon, is that the girl you've been crushing on?" A little girl with red hair, asked.
All of Phainon's friends stared at the little girl, shocked and defeated for unearthing the 'secret' they've been keeping for a while now.
(Phainon told everyone about you. It was always you that he could yap about the past few weeks, ever since you saved him. And since then, he's also made sure to keep a really close eye on you, watching you from a distance. Or from the window of your home.)
You look to Phainon, whose face was burning red. He catches your gaze for a second, his mind short-circuits as he looks away.
"So, uhhh... Tribbie..." Phainon managed to say, "this is (Name)."
Wait, so he's bi?

So...healer!reader pt 5, shes already healed the guys individually, where will they go from here?🤭
It becomes a bit of a routine. The guys try not to ask for ur healing too often, they value u as a genuine member of the team and would hate for u to think ur just here for that. But, you do notice they all perform much better after you heal them. Plus, it kind of gets on ur nerves when they try to 'tough out' some of the minor pain, bc u can feel it radiating from them and now that you have healed them before there's really no reason for u to be shy about it again.
So, you make sure to heal them all at least once a week, sometimes more if they actually are hurt. Ghost goes all soft and pliant, simply enjoying the fact his chronic pain is gone for a bit. Price tends to take the time to smoke, hes learned that ur healing with smoke in his lungs feels devine. Soap doesnt have much constant pain besides mild tinnitus, so he and gaz tend to work out like hell beforehand bc it feels alot better when the magic has something to focus on.
But you never seem to ask anything in return. Its frustrating. Especially considering soap has explicitly offered you to bed and all you've done is turn him down with a small smile. Needless to say, the guys are concerned. Gaz calls a team meeting between the four of them, a furrow in his brow.
"Do you think we're taking advantage?"
Its a long and serious discussion. Price thinks they are, they all have some sort of power dynamic over you (some more than others). Ghost doesnt think so, hes seen you punch a guy's lights out for looking at you the wrong way, if you didnt want to do something then you wouldnt. Soap seems mixed, he trusts your decisions, but he doesnt want to have accidentally coerced you into anything. The discussion gets them nowhere, so finally gaz calls you in.
U give them a confused look, but seem overall relaxed. "Uh- everything okay?"
Price doesnt mince words, "if you dont want to heal us. You dont have to. If you dont feel comfortable working in this team, give me the paperwork and ill approve it, no questions asked."
"What?" Youre honestly baffled, looking between them like they're crazy. "What on earth makes you think i dont want to heal you?? If I didnt then I wouldnt??"
So they explain they're reasoning, finally leading to the last point of u never seeking out ur own satisfaction. They don't want to make u heal them if u dont get some sort of satisfaction in return, it feels predatory or whatever.
You cant help it, you laugh. A bit from nerves but also from relief bc you thought you were being kicked out. "Oh my god- thats it?" You try to cover ur grin with a hand.
"the hell do you mean thats it?!" Soap retorts, a bit put off by ur sudden mirth "this is serious!"
"God! No- its- you dont understand-" you take a few deep breaths before calming down. Looking them in the eyes you shrug "im asexual. I uh- dont feel sexual desire. Like. At all."
Before they can freak out, you strike down whatever fears u know they're thinking "whatever sexual moments did occur were totally my choice. I may not get satisfaction like you guys do, but I like to see you guys happy, I like to help. Besides, all this healing has given me alot of practice with my magic, I really dont want to stop."
You and them have another, quite long discussion, and decide to keep up the arrangement. You get to practice magic, and they get to have the best damn orgasms of their lives. In fact, this probably means you can heal them more often now that you have permission to really experiment with ur methods.
(HA YALL THOUGHT IT WOULD BE A FIVESOME HUH??? WRONG!! anyways happy pride to all my fellow asexuals!! Also dw guys this is NOT the end of the series lol)

You hated parties. They were loud, overstimulating, and there were too many strangers. So when Gideon invited you and Caleb to a party he was having you were hesitant to say the least. You thought having your boyfriend there, your emotional support Caleb, you would be fine; especially once you had a little bit of alcohol in your system. But alas, the universe has a different plan for tonight.
You're three cups of something deep, probably some vodka and a splash of juice, and glued to the side of the wall which were vibrating with how loud the music was, the hum of people yelling over the music certainly wasn't helping. Caleb was god knows where, the second you guys got to the party Gideon whisked him away to go take shots with him and some of the guys they went to college with. Your finger drums a consistent beat against your red plastic cup, your eyes scan the room for any sign of him. Sure, you could go and talk to people, mingle a bit but… Something in your stomach lurches at the thought of doing that.
You take another small sip. You pull out your phone check to the time. “You're Colonel Xia's girlfriend right?" Someone shouts to your left. He looked about the same age as Caleb. “Ah! Yeah! Yeah I am." Your voice wobbles, slightly startled. “Man, he is one lucky guy. I was assigned to his fleet shortly after he took over." The man extends his hand offering his name, that you definitely don't catch. Instead you politely smile, shaking his hand and yelling your name back over the music.
He starts going on and on about fleet stuff, with the amount of liquor in your body you really can't make heads or tails of it, you just politely nod. He wasn't a bad guy or anything, you just clearly were uncomfortable and didn't want to be there. When you feel a hand wrap around your waist, you nearly jump ten feet in the air. “Woah woah! Pips, it's me." Caleb's voice is soft in your ear. Your whole body immediately relaxes into his touch. “Oh Colonel! Good to see you off duty." The man you're talking to acknowledges his superior. “Good to see you too, if you don't mind I'm gonna steal her away for a bit." Caleb smiles at the man. You are always in awe of how charming and charismatic Caleb is naturally. He makes it look effortless.
The man nods, and Caleb grabs your wrist taking you to a free spot farther down the wall. His body blocks your view of the crowd, his cologne flooding your senses calming your nervous system down exponentially. " You okay pretty girl?” He asks, his hands cupping your cheeks intentionally making you maintain eye contact with him. Regardless you down cast your eyes. " I'm fine.” You answer, not wanting to ruin this night for him.
He rarely gets time off, let alone gets to spend it with his friends. His eyebrows furrow. " No you aren't.” He sighs, pulling you against his chest before wrapping his arms around you. " Pips, I've known you, your whole life. I know when you're lying to me.” He kisses the top of your head. " Let me ask you again. Are you okay?” He repeats gently. You shake your head no into his chest. "Not really, it's loud and I'm a little tipsy and… I'm sorry Caleb." Your eyes gloss over slightly, tears threatening to spill over.
He pulls you back a bit so he can look at you. “Aw you sweet girl, don't apologize. You've never really been big on this stuff. I'm proud of you for even tagging along with me. Even Gideon was singing praises about you being here tonight… I mean I did shove him for talking about my girlfriend like that, but semantics.” You giggle slightly.
Caleb kisses your forehead. " Do you wanna get the hell out of here?" He asks, grinning at you. “Are you sure? I know you don't get to do this often…" You mumble. He smiles, shaking his head. “I already got to hang out with Gideon for a while, besides my girlfriend is clearly overstimulated and trying to be brave for me. That's my job Pips, how dare you steal my thunder." He squeezes you slightly. You lean up kissing him gently. “Let's go home." He grabs your hand again, leading you through the sea of people out the door. “Oh also, if I see you talking to another man at a party again I won't be so kind next time, I can promise you that. " You roll your eyes, a dumb smile on your face. If you're being honest, you wouldn't have it any other way.

Countryside getaway

Yandere!mafia oc x reader
Summary: Silas has decided that the two of you should spend some time together, far away from his world, and you get to experience each other's real sides. No fear, no worries.
Warnings: mentions of crimes, mentions of murder, Silas dirty minded humor, but overall a softer oneshot
Word count: 2.3k
No one knows where you're going. Not even you. He has one hand on the steeringwheel, the other one holds your thigh.
He's wearing a black shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, exposing the tattoos on his arms.
“Keep your eyes on the road, map reader, or we'll never get there”, Silas says, giving you a teasing look.
“You have a GPS”, you mutter and turn your head more comfortably against the pillow.
“My GPS does not have your voice.”
“I don't even know where we're going.”
“You don't have to. Just read the directions.”
“How much further do we have to go? We've been sitting here for hours …”
“I did not know I had brought a child with me. I've planned something romantic and you're just complaining.” He caresses your thigh with his thumb, chuckling. “One more hour, little thing. That good enough for you?”
You groan and hide your face in the pillow and he laughs. He's different like this, when he's not surrounded by his men. When he's not in that space. Here, in his sports car with just the two of you, he's different. Softer. Human. It loosens your walls too.
“So whiny”, he chuckles. “Slept bad?”
“Don't kid”, you mutter and make yourself comfortable against the pillow again.
“Maybe we both need this. I need a break and you need to be able to sleep. Can't do that at home, can you?”
No, you can't. Not when he comes home in the middle of the night, bloody and roughed up. At home, you wake to every little sound with your heart beating in your chest.
“You know”, Silas starts, “its important to do this. To get away. Especially in my industry. Otherwise you get consumed.”
“Will SIC be able to handle things?”
“He has no choice.”
“Are you really okay to go by yourself? You’re recognizable.”
“Darling, they can't do anything. Thankfully, the law is strict and as long as there is no evidence connecting me to something they can't actually take me. They can suspect me, but never catch me. I'm fine.” He smirks, glancing at you. “Why? You're worried?”
You give him a glare and turn your head out the window.
“I'll break that facade down, Y/N”, he smiles and leans back in his seat. “We have four days all to ourselves. And I'll make the most of it.” His smirk deepens. “With no one around … I can take you just however I want to, whenever. And if I'm not wrong, SIC said that the house is remote. You can be as loud as you want.”
You slap his shoulder.
“Ouch, I'm driving here”, he chuckles. “Mind your hands?”
“Focus on your driving then.”
“How can I when you're sitting right here?”
His free hand on your thigh squeezes ever so slightly. You stare at him, contemplating opening the door and throwing yourself out on the highway.
The car has since long ago pulled in on a gravel road with no cars. Red flowers cover the fields around you, and for a second you're sure he has orchestrated it.
The house is smaller than Silas's house back in the city, less modern.
“Jump out, little thing”, he says as he unbuckles himself. “We're here.”
You stretch, legs wobbly from hours of sitting down. Silas unlocks the trunk and carries your bags inside. You stand in the middle of the gravel driveway, looking around and listening to the absolute lack of noise.
“Are you coming or what?” Silas asks from the front door. “Don't be slow or I'll carry you too. No gentler than these bags.”
You hurry after him. He smirks.
It's not hard finding the bedroom. A note lay in the bedding. Silas picks it up and scoffs at the familiar handwriting.
“Be nice to the bed, it's old, you break if you pay for it — SIC.”
“That son of a bitch”, Silas chuckles and turns to you, showing the note. “Seems like he read my mind.”
“You are kind of predictable”, you say.
Silas starts to walk towards you, backing you up against the nearest wall, wearing a soft smirk. “Me? Predictable? If I was predictable I wouldn't be a crime organization leader, my dumb little Y/N.”
You shrug. “I’m just saying.”
“Yeah, you’re good at saying things.” His hand sneaks up to your jaw. “How about you put your poor mouth to other uses for once? I know a pair of lips that would die to meet them.”
His cheesiness makes you scoff out a small smile, enough for him to close the distance. Ever since you’ve forced him to start using lip balm, his mouth is soft when it moves against yours. You sigh out and he swallows the sound in a greedy inhale. He holds you close, one hand on your back, the other on your jaw.
“Silas, you’ll bruise my lips”, you chuckle and try to turn your head away.
“Let me”, he breathes and directs you right back to his mouth.
And he does. He doesn’t half-ass things. He pulls back with proudness in his eyes.
“Let’s go shopping now.”
“Shopping?”
“We need food. Can’t just live off each other, unfortunately.”
He grabs your hand and leads you back out to the black sports car and you’re once again put on map reader duty to find the nearest grocery store. You can’t remember the last time you’ve actually grocery shopped with him. Normally, he sends out someone to buy things, and if he can’t trust anyone, he sends SIC. Just because Silas can’t be arrested, doesn’t mean he’s a hundred percent safe.
“Alright”, he mutters and grabs a cart. “Let’s pretend to be a normal couple.”
You can’t help but chuckle and he gives you a quick look.
“Let’s get this shitshow on the road, let’s go”, he mutters and nods at you to follow. “Don’t start running around or I’ll place you in the cart like a three year old. Okay, what do we need?”
“You need steak”, you joke.
“Damn right I do, but I get my steak from high quality butchers, I’ll get sick if I get it from a grocery store.”
“Aw, is your little tummy sensitive?” you ask, making sure it sounds more like “wittle”.
“Y/N, I’m warning you.”
His warning isn’t serious. Not now. Not like this. It only maks you smile.
“Are you going to be a brat all vacation just because you think I won’t do anything?” Silas asks behind you, pushing the cart into your back. “I did tell you we are remote, didn’t I?”
“Don't touch me or I'll scream.”
“Oh, you'll scream alright.”
“Silas!”
He chuckles, eyes softening. “I couldn't help it. You played that into my hands a bit too good to pass up on.”
“You’re so childish. Maybe you should tone it down on the threatening part if you don’t want more people staring at you. You don’t need to give them a reason to recognise you.”
Silas scoffs, but there’s a smile tugging at his lips. He enjoys this side of you way too much. He can only enjoy it in situations like this, far away from his world. When you're not scared of him.
“What's the budget?” you ask him.
“What?”
“The budget? You said to pretend to be a normal couple. Normal couples don't have your credit card.”
Silas groans audibly.
“I'm not compromising my money”, he says. “Stop messing around, grab what you want.”
You handle the actual shopping part while he pushes the cart behind you. People glance at him, if not for recognising him, then for his tattoos, but he pretends to be unaware.
“Little thing.”
“Hm?”
“Grab those.”
You follow where he nods. Chips. They fall into the cart. So do a lot of other things Silas usually doesn't buy.
“Might as well go for it now that SIC can't bully me”, he shrugs.
The cashier seems to recognise Silas, but she doesn't say anything. Silas is polite and wishes her a good day, as if he wasn't who she thought he was, before turning to you and grabbing the plastic bags.
Back at the house, he puts everything into the fridge and starts to cook right away.
“You’re not allowed to help”, he says and taps your forehead. “I want to actually eat tonight.”
“I can cook”, you insist.
“Yeah. Sure. How about you go and set the table while I handle the knives and the stove?”
“Fine.”
You do as you’re told, searching the drawers for cutlery and plates. He glances at you from time to time and can’t help but smile. Maybe this was what he wanted all along? To play family.
“It’s not often we get to do this”, he says as he plates the food. “Domestic things, I mean. Should enjoy it while we can. Oh, I saw a pool out in the backyard, by the way. I think we should try it out after dinner. I brought alcohol from back home.”
“Drinking and swimming doesn’t sound very safe.”
“Then you’ll just have to rescue me. They didn’t teach you life guard duty in swimming class?”
“Yes, but they didn’t prepare me to drag a man that weighs enough to crush a car.”
“So my workouts are working?” His grin widens as he takes a sip of his water. “Thank you, Y/N.”
Conversation die out for a moment, but Silas won’t let the night pass.
“So?” he says. “Don’t you have something to say?”
“What?” you ask.
“We don’t often get to just talk. Spew something out. Anything.”
You think for a moment. You usually have a lot of thoughts, but when put on the spot all seem to vanish.
“I like the food.”
Silas laughs. Actually laughs. You haven’t hard a genuine, carefree laugh from him in a long time. His back eyes curl into half moons.
“What?” you ask. “What is it?”
“You can say a million things and that’s what you choose to say?” he says. “That the food is good? I didn’t think I cooked that good food, enough for that to be the only thing you think of.”
“You put me on the spot, I just said the first thing that came to mind!”
“Try again, then.”
“Well … I … could really go for some alcohol right now.”
Silas smiles and rises from his chair. He disappears out of the room and returns with two bottles. One brandy, one red wine.
“Okay, your majesty”, he says. “Which fancies your taste buds?”
“Wine, probably. Fits better with dinner. You'll get brandy, I suspect?”
“You know me well.” He opens both bottles and pours. “I'm responsible for you, so it's my duty to make sure you don't get absolutely decked.”
“I thought I was the one that had to make sure you didn't fall face down in the pool?”
“Yeah, but let's be realistic for a second. I can hold my alcohol … you? Please.”
“Rude.”
“It is not rude if I'm stating facts, you just want to deny your incapable alcohol consumption.”
You take a sip of your wine and glare at him.
Silas jokingly suggests you both skinny dip. You shoot down the idea. He's a predator, taking your whole arm if you foolishly give him a finger. You'd like your body working for your getaway.
You're not sure what prompts him, the alcohol or his childishness, to jump into the pool like a bomb. Water splashes everywhere, both on your dry form and your towels, and he breaks the surface with a wide grin. He pushes his black hair back and swims over to the edge. His tattoos warp under the water.
“I’m wet now”, you say in a ‘matter of fact’ tone.
He looks up at you, squinting one eye full of water shut. “Yeah? Jump in then.”
You decide to get in slowly, but he has other plans. His hand grips your wrist and pulls you into the pool. You yelp, but never have a second to worry about inhaling water, because he holds you.
“So much drama for nothing”, Silas chuckles and wipes water out of your eyes. "I've got you.”
His tattooed arms half hug you, half cradle you as he sways back and forth in the water.
“Today”, you start, hesitant, “when we were at the grocery store, and people looked at you, and what you said before that … I started to think about something just now.”
“What?” he asks softly.
“What do I do if you're taken? Or killed?”
“That will never happen.”
“But what if it does?”
Silas sighs, arms around you tightening slightly.
“If I ever were to never come back home for whatever reasons”, he started slowly, “then SIC would follow the instructions I’ve told him.”
“What are those?”
“To get you far away from everything and everyone and keep you safe. You'd get a cute little house on the coast where you could live peacefully. You'd have my dog, and how many bodyguards it takes to replace me. SIC would be there too. He’d check up on you.”
“That sounds pretty lonely.”
“What? Are you planning to become the Great Gatsby after I disappear?”
He caresses your face with a wet hand.
“I have money put away for you in case anything happens”, he promises and rolls his eyes. “And I might have made a deal with the devil to get you new papers in case something happens.”
“Who?”
“The parasite I'm unfortunately to call brother.”
“Ares?”
“Don't say his name. Let's drop this now. I don't want to think about it. Especially since it won't happen.”
The entire wine bottle is empty once the two of you get out of the pool and head to bed. Silas wears a dark Grey hoodie and sweatpants, insisting you wear comfy clothes too. He thinks it is better for cuddles. You're wrapped in his hoodie covered arms, face pressed to his chest. You'll be damned if you try to get out of his arms any time before morning hours.
Somehow, you wish this little getaway could last forever. Life would be easier that way. Silas sighs out, unbeknownst thinking the exact same thing.

A/N: Five years later... 👍 I'm sorry this took so long. I really, really appreciate your support 🫶 I hope this turned out at least okay, it's been a minute since i've finished any writing 🥲 Anyway, I hope you're having an amazing day :))
Thank you for sending in this request 💙
Toji and His Shy Girl
It's been a week since you and Toji have spoken, not for lack of effort or opportunities, but because the one sided attempts are not corresponded. It's hard to think about him, it's hard to read his words through your screen and see his name flash briefly, before your phone does its job of sending him to voicemail.
'Maybe we shouldn't be together, Toji. If me simply trying to talk to you is such a burden... I don't know if I should keep trying.'
You said this to him a week ago. You clicked the door shut and he sped off in his car, bleary-eyed, brimming with rage and regret the whole way home. He couldn't get the sound of your voice out of his head—the cracks, the occasional sharp inhales that came with your suppressed emotions. Even in the moment, he knew it was so, so wrong for you to be looking the way you did.
The instant he got home, all hell broke loose. His fists were clenched as he treaded towards his bedroom, and as if possessed by the force of a natural disaster, he tore apart his room—demolished it—throwing things blindly, uncaring if they broke beyond repair. The picture he keeps on his nightstand of the two of you was not safe. The encased memory was thrown with all the strength he has, at the wall, the frame instantly falling apart and the glass shattering to pieces.
He couldn't stop, it all hurt so much. His chest burned, his head was pounding, he felt like he couldn't breathe, and once there was nothing left to throw, nothing left to break, he finally broke down—wholly. Harsh, uncontrollable sobs racked his entire body as he sat there in the debris—the aftermath of losing his mind over you. Barely any sound came of it, his voice was shot, courtesy of the tormented screams that accompanied his meltdown.
This all happened a week ago. You won't talk to him and these days have been hell without your company. You won't respond to his good morning messages, and if he asks to meet up, you always have something to do. He calls you whenever he can, but you don't pick up. You're avoiding him like it's your job.
Everything feels pointless without you around, his little sunshine, the reason he wakes up motivated every morning, the light of his life. His routine has been altered in the worst way. It's work, home, work, home, and he absolutely detests it because if it weren't for that damned day, he would be with you, smothering you with the borderline overwhelming love he holds for you, making you laugh and watching you get flustered over the words he whispers in your ear. He wants it back—all of it. He can't let you go, it would break him entirely.
You don't want to let go of this love you have for Toji, either. You miss being in the warmth of his embrace, and you miss the sound of his voice, and the way he calls you 'sweetheart' when you're not focusing on him. You see every single one of the messages he sends you and the phone calls.
Good morning, baby.
Morning, sweetheart. Make sure to eat breakfast and lunch. One meal isn't enough.
Saw those fields of flowers you point at all the time on my way home. I miss you.
Baby, will you talk to me, please?
[Missed Call]
And you cry, because all you want to do is respond to every one of those messages and hear his voice again, but something always stops you. The memory of when he snapped at you. The sound of his voice—cutting and utterly spirit crushing. The furrow of his eyebrows that made you feel like everything you did was wrong. It hurts to think about the whole situation, and all these notifications only serve as reminders. Reminders of the way you immediately wilted when the door shut, chest heaving as you cried your way to bed and then to sleep, wondering what you did to deserve being lashed out at.
You're lying in bed, scrolling through your phone when he calls again. The instant you see his contact picture, your heart plummets to your stomach, but an irrepressible giggle escapes you. The picture on your screen... it's kind of blurry because he was chasing you and you were laughing so hard that you couldn't hold the phone steady, but you love it. You love the man in the picture, you love that he can make you smile through memories, even during tough times.
"Baby?" You hear through the speakers of your phone. A lump immediately forms in your throat and you painfully swallow. "Baby, can you hear me?" He tries again.
"Yeah, I'm here," you respond, quietly.
"Holy fuck, doll. Can I... Are you busy? Are you doing anything right now?"
"No, i'm home," you mumble.
"Can I come see you?"
"Toji..." you start, your tone conveying what you haven't even said yet. Your uncertainty.
"Baby, we have to talk. It's been a week and-- This can't be it. Please, just... just five minutes. Five minutes and i'll go."
You know it won't be five minutes. You can't force a solution out in five minutes—not a sincere one at least. Some part of you is soothed by the sound of his voice, regardless of how frantic and desperate he sounds. That's your love right there, and no matter how much hurt lingers from this whole dilemma, there's nothing you can do about your heart's response to him. So you open a door for him.
"Okay, Toji. I'll be here waiting for you."
"Thank you, pretty girl. I'll be there in a few. Love you."
There's a heavy, tense pause. Neither of you has hung up the phone, because something hasn't been done yet and he knows you know what he wants to hear. It would be enough for him to believe that you haven't forfeited. It would make him feel even the slightest bit of relief if you said those words he's been aching for.
"I love you, too, Toji," you utter, hanging up a couple seconds after.
Toji would be bouncing off the walls if he wasn't in such a hurry to get to you. He's been deprived of any form of love from you for a week and he was starting to go crazy, but hearing you say those words was all he needed for now.
Twenty something minutes later, you get a text from him, letting you know that he's outside. Your heart is in your throat, your stomach keeps flipping, and yet you use all the strength you have to get out of bed to meet him. Though you decide to take your time to get to your front door, you find that you're still there too soon, no time left to mentally prepare yourself for what is about to happen. With a final deep breath, you turn the lock, twist the doorknob, and open the door.
There Toji stands, hand suspended in the air with your spare key pinched between his thumb and forefinger. He steps back instinctively when you step aside from behind the door.
"I uh... I wasn't sure if you'd be okay with me using it, but you were taking a bit, so I thought maybe you'd want me to come in and we can talk inside or... I don't know."
He's rambling, there's a light stubble on his face, he's smiling at you like he always does—like you're his everything. Him being there doesn't actually process in your mind until he speaks up again.
"Hi, baby," he says, softly, observing you like you're some majestic painting hung up in a museum. Your eyes well up and it feels like there's a red-hot metal sphere lodged in your throat. "You're a saint for letting me come here and see you, you know that?"
Out of habit, you nod and mumble out a small, "yeah."
"I'm sorry, doll," he says, reaching for your hands to hold them. He barely manages to grab them, get a feel for your soft skin after so long, before you're pulling them away from him. "No, come on," he pleads, grasping your hands again. "Please? Please, look at me."
"You can't talk to me like that, Toji," you utter, voice unsteady because you're not used to having to stand up for yourself against the one who loves you like it's his life source.
"I know. I know that, baby, and I'm so fucking sorry," he says, nearly tripping over his words. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean any of the shit I said. I was having a bad day, and I shouldn't have taken it out on you. I don't know what the hell got into me, but please..." he mumbles, bringing your hands up to his lips, pressing weightless kisses on your fingers and knuckles. "Please, I love you, you have to believe me."
"You said..." you inhale sharply, doing all you can to get through this without choking on your emotions. "...you said you didn't have time to listen to me talk about nonsense, and that you wanted peace and quiet for once. Isn't... Isn't that all you get from me?"
"No tears," he says, warm palms moving up to cup your cheeks, thumbs brushing away the crystals that glide down them. "No tears," he repeats, softer this time. "This is gonna get worked out, my sweet girl. I swear."
"I don't know how you want me to be," you admit, your voice wavering. "And I don't have the ability to read minds. You acted like everything was fine when you texted me, and then when you got here..." You let out a shaky breath, your hold on your emotions slipping. "I don't want to be upset with you, anymore, but i-i'm trying... It's not right."
It's as if someone is jabbing at his chest over and over again, relentlessly, even when his skin starts to bruise and little pinpricks of blood begin to appear. He hates seeing you this way, especially when he knows he's the reason for why you're hurt this bad. He wants it to stop and for this enormous raincloud above both of you to just dissipate.
"Come here," he says, low, almost inaudible. His hands lower, arms making contact with your sides. It's been too long since he's held you, yet, pulling you in feels as natural as breathing.
Your hands come up to rest on his abdomen, keeping him at a distance. It feels unnatural, because you're so used to letting him handle you like you're a stuffed animal, pulling you around when you're adventuring together and picking you up just because he feels like it. Your mind immediately clouds with guilt at your denial of his embrace, you can't even meet his eyes, opting to look down at where your hands are.
"Please don't," he says, his voice so soft that it makes your chest feel tight again. He grabs ahold of your wrists, just to have some sort of contact with you. His grip is almost entirely loose and you're in control, he won't move until you pull your hands away. "I'm not gonna hurt you like that again."
You love him and you know he needs this—holding you in his arms, your confirmation that it's all going to be okay. You've said it before and the words have become one of his greatest comforts. What could be so bad when you tell him that it'll all turn out just fine?
"We've been apart for too long. A week shouldn't have gone by like this... and, fuck, I know it's my fault. I don't blame you for not wanting to see me, but... please, baby." His thumbs brush the insides of your wrists, eyes never leaving the sadness of your face, regardless of whether you look at him or not. He'll take this over not getting to see you at all, any day.
"Sweetheart."
You sniff, unmoving for a few more seconds. Your heartbeat is thrumming wildly in your ears, almost suffocating you with its relentlessness. It's all you hear, words lost in a spiral of ongoing silence. You still don't look at him when you finally pull your hands away, but you can feel his heavy, unwavering attention on you.
You're glad he doesn't wait for you to give him the green light to pull you in, because you have nothing to say at the moment, and it would be another test of patience. Instead, the second your hands are balled up at your sides, he moves at the speed of a lightning strike, your body colliding with his in an almost aggressive manner—there's an audible thump. His body heat mingles with the cologne on his shirt, the smell coiling around you and rushing through your nose with every breath you take. The feeling is familiar—love, safety, comfort—a second home, all wrapped up in your favorite person.
His hands scrunch up the back of your shirt like he's afraid you'll push him away again. "Baby," he mumbles, his voice almost inaudible. "Don't disappear like that again." A soft breath is expelled from his chest, riddled with the genuine fear he felt that he would never get to see you again.
"I know it's unfair of me to say this. I was an asshole and you were hurt, but, doll... I thought you were leaving me." There's a pause. Toji stares at the ground behind you, his hands deepening the creases he made on your shirt due to his unfaltering grip. "I don't want that."
"I'm not," you respond, heart shaking. "That day... it felt like you didn't even want to see me and you only came over because I asked not because you wanted to." The familiar ache in your chest stirs slightly, but you give it your all to get everything out in a steady and clear manner. "You can tell me you're tired, Toji. That you want to rest in the comfort of your own home, and I'll understand. I don't want to be another cause of stress for you."
It pains him to hear that because you're the one who keeps him sane, the one he thinks about when he settles into bed but can't get to sleep, the first person to know that he's still alive in morning, the one who has made him feel so safe, that he feels no shame when he occasionally calls to confirm that he's still loved by you.
"You're not," he simply murmurs. "It's not true."
"You don't have to worry about protecting my feelings."
His arms loosen around you, the back of your shirt wrinkled but freed from his clutches. Your heart is beating too fast, attempting to leave your chest. Now you're standing up straight, doing your best to not avert your gaze from the man before you.
"You're not a burden to me. Okay?" He says, and you want to believe him because of the way he's looking at you, like he's searching your eyes for even the smallest bit of confidence from you about the fact. "Say it."
The words are stuck, it's visible. Your lips twitch, but your voice doesn't progress. You just look at him, feeling the sadness seep into every part of you.
"You're not a burden to me. I need you to get that through your pretty head, right now," he says, only to feel his own heart skip a beat at your reaction.
"Sorry," you mumble, unable to instantly straighten out the curl of your lips.
In this moment, Toji knows that everything is going to be okay. He hasn't heard you laugh in a week, and though it was only a small, congested giggle, he savors it along with your inability to regain your bearing, like it's his last sip of water while he's stranded in the desert.
"Gets you every time, huh?" He says, his own faint smile emerging.
'Right now', a habitual phrase of his that is meant to comfort you. You've told him before that not everything can be fixed or healed in an instant—things don't work that way—but he never backs down. You've translated it into something akin to a bandage—the words are meant to cover you while you take the time to fully and properly heal. The joy you find in hearing them is a small beginning.
"It's funny," you respond, taking in his amused little grin. God, you missed his handsome face and the way he looks at you like everything about you makes perfect sense to him.
"My impatience is funny to you?" He teases, loving the way you press your lips together before proceeding to nod. He can't even be playfully offended, too entranced by the way you're actually smiling at him. He sighs through his nose and just watches you—admires you for a couple seconds, and when you start nervously shifting on your feet, he pulls you closer to him, his hands on your lower back as your body presses against his once more.
"Can you just say it, please? For me?" He murmurs, recognizing every one of the stars in your eyes. Though he thinks it's a tragedy to have gone a week without this view, he'll make up for lost time by creating new constellations.
"I don't know," you say, softly—filler words, your brain short circuits whenever he looks at you like that.
"For me, baby," he pleads once more. "Just wanna hear you say it."
You hum, unsure of whether you can say something you don't entirely believe. You want to make him happy, you want things to be better, you want to believe what he said—what he wants you to repeat to him, but it's hard. Damage is easy to inflict and hard to heal. It won't go away immediately, no matter how much you love the person who is trying to fix their mistake.
"I don't know-"
"Please?" he blurts.
"Toji, I don't-"
"Pretty please?" he cuts again, seeing the way your seriousness falters like before. Your laugh finds his ears once more, a sound he just wants to keep hearing. The sound embraces him. "With a cherry on top?" he adds, a sly little grin on his lips.
It's getting harder and harder to turn him down. He's precious, he's trying, and you cherish his effort. It's not going to kill you to just say it.
You sigh, "I'm not a burden."
"To who?" He questions, seeking elaboration from you.
"To you."
"Damn right," he says, proud. "We'll get you there. I'm not gonna leave you like this, alright?"
"Okay," you confirm, nodding slightly.
"Can I get a kiss?"
Again, you nod, expecting a quick peck—maybe a few quick pecks, but no, he goes on to kiss you like its been months since he last saw you, not a week. He's desperately chasing after your lips, seeking more and more of what he's been deprived of for too long. In his mind, he says 'never again, never again, never again', because he can't imagine going so long without your sweetness again. Without the softness of your lips against his, without those pretty smiles and laughs being thrown at him. It sounds like hell 2.0. when he thinks about losing it all over again.
"Fuck, I missed this," he murmurs, still just a breath away from your lips.
"Yeah," you respond, eyeing the short little pins of hair that sprinkle over his jaw and upper lip area. It makes you smile, you don't always get to see his face when it's not clean shaven.
"I was in a rush," he explains, unnecessarily, following the way your eyes trace his face.
"Mm," you hum, smiling. "Can I shave your face?"
"You wanna clean me up?" he asks, almost as if he's surprised.
"Only if you want me to. It was just an idea," you say, smiling sheepishly.
To that, he chuckles, a low sound that makes your stomach flip and your cheeks feel warmer.
"Oh, I want you to," he says, leaning forward to peck your lips, luring quiet giggles from you when he doesn't want to pull away.
-
Now, you sit on the counter of your bathroom sink, with Toji standing between your legs. There's a slight tremble in your hand, spurred on by his hands resting on your hips and the way he watches you with so much focus, trusting you enough to let you do this without a word from him. You drag the razor carefully along his cheek, making sure not to move too fast or use too much pressure.
Toji waits until you're cleaning off the blade to make his move of leaning in to press kisses to your face. Small peaks of foam are left behind on your skin, wiped away by gentle strokes of his thumb.
"I'm about to start again," you say through a laugh, leaning away to avoid ridding his face of all the protective spume on it. The razor remains beside you until he finally behaves himself. He huffs like you've been rejecting his affection the whole time, but nonetheless stands up straight and as still as a statue.
After some time, longer than it would have taken him alone—longer than it would have taken you if he didn't smother you every time you paused to clean the razor—you got it done. You brought back the smoothness of his skin.
"Am I pretty again?" he jests, drying his face with one of your towels.
"Stunning," you quip in response, shifting on the counter to signal that you're going to hop off.
"You're stunning," he says, low, unmoving from where he stands between your legs. "My gorgeous, gorgeous girl," he adds, seeking more of that feeling the flustered smile on your face gives him. "Missed you lots, you know that?" You just laugh and shake your head, like you're silently calling him crazy. "What? I'm serious," he says in response, a soft grin on his face. "Did you miss me? Even a little bit?"
A single second passes by. You can't lie to him and say you didn't. You missed him every single day, through the hurt. Your chest ached and your heart dropped every time you remembered the incident, but your love for him never wavered. You couldn't stop thinking about him, and with how often he tried to reach you, it was nearly impossible not to have him on your mind.
"Of course I did. I took the time I needed, but that doesn't mean I wanted it."
"I know, baby. And I would never hold it against you. I'm just... glad I can see you again, is all."
You smile. The gleam and sincerity in his eyes is a wonder to witness and well worth the butterflies that overly crowd your stomach.
"I really did miss you," you mumble.
"Yeah?" He asks.
"Mhm," you hum, nodding. "'Lots.'"
A soft chuckle rumbles in his chest, then he leans in close for nth time, peppering kisses across your cheek until he reaches your lips. He can feel you smiling into the kisses, a sensation he yearned for with every fiber of his being for the past week. One of his hands rests on your thigh, caressing the inner part of it, while the other slides up your shirt and settles on your waist. The lip-lock steals your breath away, but even then, you challenge your lungs for your lover's sake, only pulling away when you're a panting mess and Toji's breathing is more audible.
The tension is palpable, the silence loud as you look at one another like you're still taking in the fact that you can be loving towards each other again, in a manner that doesn't derive from guilt for the time that you didn't get to demonstrate how much you truly love each other. Enough to not be able to leave a fresh wound alone, enough to forgive while outwardly expressing that you have not healed but are patient enough to work towards regaining that strength.
"I don't wanna go home," he murmurs, eyes flitting between your eyes and lips before focusing on solely your eyes.
"You don't have to," you respond. "Stay as long as you'd like."
"And if I said I wanted to spend a week here with you? Would you hate it?"
You shake your head. "No, but I think you'd get tired of seeing me all the time."
"You're wrong, pretty girl. Is this your subtle way of saying you're tired of looking at my mug, already?" He asks, lips curling with amusement at your giggle.
"No, I want you to stay," you say, honest.
"Promise?"
You nod, followed by an affirmative hum.
"Say it again," he requests, heart thudding just a little faster when you smile.
"I want you to stay, Toji," you repeat, his name on your tongue causing your cheeks to warm up.
"Again." His hands mold around your hips—squeezing, loving.
"Stay," you say, softer.
He sighs, heavy, an enamored look in his eyes that you have never been able to comprehend. Those dark, viridescent eyes, have a brilliance to them as he looks at you like you're the last good thing he'll ever be able to call his. You're good for him, you're good to him, and there is nothing in the world that he wouldn't do for you because you gave him your heart.
"Yeah... you're stuck with me here for a week and you're come with me to pick some stuff up from my place, tomorrow. Okay? Okay."
"Okay," you respond, with a laugh.
"Now, we get you off this counter," he says, lifting you like you're a teddy bear that he carries around for protection. He doesn't miss the way you gasp at the suddenness. "Hold me tight, baby," he says, allowing you to wrap your arms around his neck and your legs around his waist before moving anywhere. A kiss is planted on your shoulder as he turns around to exit the bathroom.
"And now you let me show you some love," he says, low, carrying you to your bedroom.

dinosaurs and...sex? - Alexia Putellas
Summary: Alexia's girlfriend is way too stressed out for her own good, so she puts matter into her own hands (fingers)
Word count: 2.2k
Warning: (+18) fingering and oral (r receiving) and at the end suggestive to oral (r giving) because we are all switches here at wosospacegirl
A/n: I think I've found my niche in fanfic and it's writing nerdy lesbian sex...sorry it's repetitive but it's just so fun to write them...
this is a scheduled post because I *actually* have a dinosaur test to study to and I don't have alexia to eat me out so--
..
"Can I come in, or are you still acting like a monster?" Alexia said from the doorway, leaning casually against the frame. She was holding something, but you couldn't quite see what, mostly because your eyes had stopped functioning after reading the word Mesozoic for the ninth time.
You had decided to go to university.
And now you carry that burden every day. Every. Single. Day.
It was finals week, and you were an absolute wreck. You were so stressed that you had caught the worst cold ever known to humankind. Why your immune system gave up on you at the slightest sign of stress, you didn't know.
Alexia had taken care of you and made sure you rested. But of course, that meant you hadn't been able to study for three whole days.
And now here you were, at Alexi's house, sprawled across her bed, surrounded by books that were open at completely random pages, with class notes you didn't even remember taking.
Your eyes hurt. Your head hurts. Everything hurt. But mostly your soul, because you felt like you barely had one. Surely you had long lost it between the Jurassic and the Cretaceous period.
And when everything hurt, it made you angry, because you couldn't study the way you wanted to. And when you were angry, you were rude.
Alexia had shown up (to her room, in her house) and asked if the two of you shouldn't take a walk or do something relaxing. AKA: She was getting stressed from watching you mumble like a maniac about something called…Coelurosauria?
You, ever the sweet and understanding girlfriend, had snapped at her, questioning why the hell she was bothering you while you were studying.
It wasn't a "Hi, Alexia, I'm sorry, I can't talk right now."
It was a "Oh my fucking God, Alexia, can't you leave me alone for two whole minutes?"
Alexia–who was actually sweet and understanding– didn't say anything. She just stepped closer to where you were sitting, kissed the top of your head, and left a protein bar beside you before quietly walking away, probably heading for a lonely walk around Barcelona.
You cried while studying the skeleton of the Brachiosaurus because you felt guilty afterwards.
You didn't want to be mean, but finals brought out the worst in you. Still, Alexia wasn't the one to blame.
You knew Alexia was back when you heard the front door on the first floor opening and then closing. You heard her taking off her shoes and making her way upstairs.
You felt the mattress dip beside you, and when you turned around, Alexia was sitting there. You gave her your biggest, most apologetic eyes.
"I'm sorry," you said, genuinely.
Alexia looked at you, cupped your jaw, and brought your mouth to hers. She kissed you sweetly. "It's okay," she murmured against your lips as you closed your eyes.
"I know you get grumpy when you're overwhelmed with school. No need to say sorry."
"Yes, I do," you said, breaking the kiss and flopping back onto the bed, almost like a starfish. Your book was lying open beside you as you stared at the ceiling. "I was rude, that's not okay."
"It is okay," Alexia said, as she hovered above you, her hair tickling your cheek. "Because you sound hot when you're mad."
You rolled your eyes and pecked her lips. "Okay, now you're stretching."
"I'm serious," she said, getting off of you and sitting cross-legged at the end of the bed. "You pout and your brows furrow…It's like exactly the face you make when you're about to cum–"
"Okay!" you interrupted, throwing your book at her, your face burning. Alexia could be so crude when she wanted to. "No talking about sex, or–"
"--you cumming?" Alexia teased, raising an eyebrow.
"Yes," you groaned. "This is literally the most boring subject ever. It doesn't pair well with dirty talk."
Alexia stayed quiet for a few seconds, and you took that as a sign to return to your notes and re-read them. You were lying on your stomach now, your paper was spread out in front of you, when you felt Alexia climb on top of you and drop all of her weight onto your back.
Out of the sudden, you had a book to your face as well–your zoology and evolution of dinosaur book.
Alexia cheekily snatched your notes, and before you could complain, her voice filled the room as she read the book.
"Thyreophora, often known as armoured dinosaurs, were a group of ornithischian dinosaurs that lived from the Early Jurassic until the end of the Cretaceous…"
You listened as Alexia spoke, and you couldn't help but feel as if she was… reading it erotically?
You felt her weight on your back, the way she held your book right in front of you, holding it with one hand while her other hand stayed pressed to your ribcage.
"Primitive forms had simple, low, keeled scutes or osteoderms," she continued, her voice low as she pressed more fully into your body like she was getting cosy, relaxing. "Oh, those are cool, right, bebé?" she said against your ear, and you couldn't help the shiver that ran through you.
You had known Alexia long enough to recognise when she was doing this on purpose.
Sometimes, you had the willpower to push her away and to fight back. You had to study, your exam was tomorrow!! But right now?
Right now, you wanted to be pliant.
"Most thyreophorans were herbivorous and had small brains for their size," she said, her hand slipping under your shirt, her cold fingertips grazing your skin just above your ribs.
"Oh, does that mean they were dumb?"Alexia asked innocently, placing a kiss on the back of your neck.
"N-no," you stammered as you tried to move, but her body was still pinning you down. "Brain size doesn't really determine intelligence…"
Alexia hummed against your skin, letting the book fall onto the bed with a soft thud.
Now her full attention was on your neck, she was licking your skin before sucking the it into her mouth.
"I thought the bigger the brain, the smarter?" she murmured.
She sat up from behind you and turned you over, leaving you flat on your back. Then she kissed you deep and slow, biting your lip.
"No, it doesn't mean that," you mumbled, lifting your arms as Alexia pulled off your shirt, leaving your torso bare. "W-what is intelligence, after all, right? It's a very human construct and we…."
Your breath hitched as Alexia kissed your stomach, slowly making her way down to your navel, then she gently tugged at the waistband of your pants.
You lifted your hips, helping her in the process of getting you naked.
"Keep going, amor, "Alexia said, kissing you just above your underwear. "I don't want to distract you from your studies."
Her fingers slid down to your centre, where the wet spot of your underwear was. Your eyes were closed now, but you knew Alexia was smirking.
"What were you saying about intelligence?"Alexia coaxed, her voice innocent, as if she wasn't doing anything wrong, as if she really was helping you study.
But thinking about dinosaurs or intelligence or anything was nearly impossible as she hooked her fingers into the sides of your underwear and pulled them aside, exposing you completely. She slid her fingers just above your cunt, spreading your weteness slowly around your folds, teasing you.
You moaned as Alexia pressed just the tip of your finger inside of your cunt, your hips moving, begging for more contact, but Alexia didn't give in. She wanted to make you work for it for a bit.
"If you don't talk," Alexia said sternly, kissing the inside of your thigh, "I'll stop. Keep going. Tell me about the subject."
You were in silence, your brain mush. It was like you forgot you even knew any words, let alone the evolution of ornithischian dinosaurs.
Although you were quick to remember it when Alexia took her mouth away from your body.
You clutched at her head, pressing her against your cunt.
"Please, keep going–"you whined. "I-I was saying that intelligence is a human parameter, and we shouldn't judge other species based on it because it's honestly a very anthropocentric concept…"
"There she is, my smart girl, "Alexia purred. And just like magic, she slid her index finger inside of you, and your body welcomed it immediately. "What else can you tell me about those Thy… Thry…"
"Thyreophora," You breathed as Alexia slid another finger in, thrusting into you so slowly it made you want to cry. "There are two major groups, th-"
You didn't even get to finish, because you felt alexia's hot breath against your cunt, her mouth touching your clit, wrapping her lips aorund itand sucking gently. "Fuck–more."
Alexia slapped your thigh; it didn't sting, but it was a warning.
"Keep talking."
So you did.
Alexia ate you out slowly as if she was savouring every single drop of your wetness. You were very aware she was enjoying herself way too much; you also knew she was doing it as a form of revenge, too.
But you didn't mind for her motives, not when she kept fucking you like that. She only stopped when you stopped talking.
She really was taking your studies very seriously.
Alexia's tongue was thrusting inside of you. You didn't know how she had mastered the ability to penetrate you so deeply with her tongue, but you (once again) didn't care.
Her hands were pinning you down on the mattress, clutching your hip bones, not letting you move an inch as she continued to thoroughly pleasure (or maybe torture) you.
It took you a while to cum, but not because Alexia wasn't giving you what you needed, but because your body had trouble switching from stressed, anxious and overstimulated to relaxed.
Alexia didn't say a word about it. She didn't make you feel bad that it was taking longer than usual. She just kept her mouth on your cunt, as if she had all the time in the word.
And when you finally came, it felt like your body had truly relaxed for the first time in days.
You felt as if all of your muscles relaxed all at once. Your eyes rolled back, and you yanked at Alexia's hair with a little more force than you were intending to, but she didn't complain.
You were trying to catch your breath when alexia finally lifted her face from your cunt.
She made her way up your body, kissing your stomach and your breasts before (finally) kissing you, and sliding her tongue in to let you taste yourself.
"See," Alexia whispered as she broke the kiss. She lay her head on your chest, her finger gently tracing your face. "I was right."
"Rigth about what?" You barely manage to say.
"Your face when you cum," She said against your sking, kissing your collarbone. "The pout, the furrowed eyebrows."
You blink, still pretty much dizzy. "Did you make all of this... too prove a point?"
"Maybe," she said, smiling.
"I hate you," you murmured, closing your eyes and letting your hands run through her hair.
"You don't," Alexia said. "You just came in my mouth, I think that was a love confession, actually."
You chucked at Alexia's words.
Maybe it was the oxytocin running through your body stream, or maybe it was the quiet realisation that this was the first time you and Alexia were properly intimate in days, mostly because of your schedule at uni and her schedule at Barcelona.
You surprised yourself by lowering your head and kissing her again, your hands slipping under her shirt to trace the back tattoos you knew by heart.
Alexia kissed you back–and what was a sweet kiss–turned into something urgent.
"I want you," you breathed against her mouth, your hand curling around the back of her neck. "Now."
"Yeah?" Alexia smirked. "How?"
"On your back, legs spread open," you said.
"Okay," she simply said.
She did what you asked of her.
She lay down, but she winced slightly when one of your pens dug into her back.
You watched her for a moment, admiring her, and then you undressed her completely. You took her shirt off, and then her training bra.
You wrapped your lips around her nipples, sucking them until Alexia was gasping, asking for more.
Without wasting another second, you pulled down her shorts and underwear in one go.
You spread her legs apart with each of your hands and began kissing the inside of her thighs, biting them softly, leaving teeth marks where no one would see them.
You were in your moment now. Feeling hot and heavy, watching Alexia's cunt dripping right in forn of your face, how pretty her cunt looked, how ready she was for you.
But just as you were ready to taste her, Alexia said.
"Do you want me to read your notes out loud while you do it?"
You paused, your mouth still slightly open, looking up at her. You truly had a problem reading her facial expression.
At the same time that it looked like she was teasing you, it also seemed like the proposal was sincere, like she might actually do it if you said yes.
You glared at her, your eyes narrowing, trying to make your point across without having to use any words.
"Okay," she said quickly. "I guess that's a no."
