A sad day and some bees

Dame Maggie Smith passed away on Friday—thank you for all the caustic, funny characters you gave us, Maggie; we will miss you. On a more joyful note, 9-1-1 kicked off its 8th season with a buzz last week, and bucktommy fans, in particular, are having a great time 🥳. Batman is trending once again because you all love to imagine its characters in silly situations. And Interview with the Vampire, which never left your hearts, has snuck back onto this list. And then we have Gravity Falls still making up 40% of this list like it's 2012. This is Tumblr's Week in Review.

In January of 1955, "Life" magazine commissioned photographer Dennis Stock to do a visual biography on the life of actor James Dean. As part of the story, it included a trip to his childhood home of Fairmount, Indiana.

Dean decided to pose inside of a coffin for a series of shots, at the local department store in Fairmount.

Sadly, this would be the last time Dean ever returned alive to his boyhood home. He died on September 30, 1955, in a car accident, near Paso Robles, CA. He is buried in Park Cemetery in Fairmount.

10/30/24 WIP Wednesday (CLOSED) | Four Horsemen

They arrive at the venue and find Nicky there with Erik and Erik’s family. He smiles at them so brightly that Andrew almost has to squint to look at his cousin. For all that Nicky never regretted a moment of raising Andrew and Aaron and making sure that they two of them got through college just fine…Andrew cannot deny the visible difference in his cousin.

There’s an actual, visible, glow of happiness to him when he’s near Erik in general but now that he’s near Erik and Erik’s family who so obviously adore him as well?

He’s radiant.

“I’m so excited to finally get to introduce you all!” Nicky yells running over and throwing his arms around Katelyn and Aaron and squeezing them tight before he turns to Andrew and waits.
