Today is 11 years since One Direction became a band!

It’s been a long, long journey, but we are so proud of how far all our boys have come. To Harry, Louis, Liam, Niall & Zayn - you will always have our love and support. ❤️

11 Years of One Direction

Today would be a good day to list out the reasons why, after so many years & so many things, I am still a dedicated fan of One Direction.

1. The music

To me the music that 1D have created are genuinely enjoyable. As a 90's kid I have grown up with pop music and the gradual growth in lyrics and music went hand in hand with my age.

2. The boys

Though their personalities have been used as a marketing tool, it in reality did make them more likable and relatable to the fan base. I may not personally know any of the boys, but their principles and behavior has never been one to disappoint.

3. The fans

Today my thoughts on fans have definitely seen a decline. People are bitter and petty which has changed the fan experience for sure. But being a fan, specially a fan of 1D was a rewarding experience. The togetherness, team work and community was a place that everyone felt at home.

And I most definitely must mention the friends I have made an a result of being a fan of 1D. @dfw345 I don't think I can go more than a day without talking to you 😅😅❤

4. The education

I am not ashamed to say that I have been introduced to do many other things that I otherwise would not know of because of association of the boys and the fandom. Other music, sports, movies, history, politics, geography, charity and so much more.

I am of course unable to write every single fact and feeling in this one blog post but this would be a summary.

so today I would like to say,

New 'Bootcamp' boyband.

According to sources a new boyband has been formed at Bootcamp with 5 solo contestants thought to be more promising as a group.

The boyband made up of auditionees: Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik

(Liam being one of this years re-auditonee’s) The boyband are yet unamed.

Previous groups formed at Bootcamp have usually been doomed from the start and although usually making it through to the live shows don’t go much further. Futureproof, Hope and Miss Frank to name the most well known,

this year's anniversary felt more like 1 yr since the 10th anniversary rather than 11 yrs since one direction. like everybody was sharing memories from last yr and i could barely find any 2011/12/13/14 content on my tl/home page/fyp.

yk what’s crazy? it’s been 11+ years i’ve loved one direction. 11 YEARS. i was 6 years old when i first saw them on tv and now i’m 17, and applying to college???? like that’s insane to think i fully grew up with them. bc i don’t remember much before i was 6 besides major highlights in my life, so almost as long as i remember the boys have been there. AND NOW THEYRE ADULT MEN AND STARTING TO ENTER THEIR 30s. it’s INSANE to me
