In life after life, in age after age, forever.
Whenever I hear old chronicles of love, its age-old pain,
Its ancient tale of being apart or together.
As I stare on and on into the past, in the end you emerge,
Clad in the light of a pole-star piercing the darkness of time:
You become an image of what is remembered forever.
You and I have floated here on the stream that brings from the fount.
At the heart of time, love of one for another.
We have played alongside millions of lovers, shared in the same
Shy sweetness of meeting, the same distressful tears of farewell-
Old love but in shapes that renew and renew forever.
Today it is heaped at your feet, it has found its end in you
The love of all man’s days both past and forever:
Universal joy, universal sorrow, universal life.
The memories of all loves merging with this one love of ours –
And the songs of every poet past and forever.
-Unending Love (English translation), Rabindranath Tagore

Welcome to my review of Secret Scent Box, my review is one of seven done by Boxession over the past week. Mel (BoXession Founder) & Anil (Secret Scent Box Founder) hatched a plan for all 7 BoXession Bloggers to receive/live unbox, then review the February edition of Secret Scent Box so our readers like yourself can get a truly honest opinion. As well as the week long live unboxings we had a competition to win his and hers Secret Scent Boxes (eeek super exciting right?).
So during the week I watched all the other Bloggers live unboxings, but I watched without volume just so there own opinions didn’t interfere with my own in any way also due to my Asthma. I opened my Secret Scent Box just before the live unboxing review so I could spray the perfumes on their info cards outside of my home so it didn’t set off an asthma attack.
Secret Scent Box arrives via Royal Mail in a cute little white postage box that fits perfectly through your letterbox so no need to stay in all day or collect from a Royal Mail Distribution Centre due to the fact you missed the post man/woman. Inside the little white postage box there is a beautiful black box like one you would receive a beautiful piece of jewellery in, the box is engraved with the Secret Scent Box logo in beautiful silver and I think I will be using this beautiful little box to keep all my little testers in. Inside the box along with the samples you get cute little info cards telling you everything about that fragrance from the year it was first released to the base notes like Jasmine Bud.
Secret Scent Box is a monthly fragrance subscription service that sends you three 3ml spray vials every month, the samples should last about 30 days all together in total if you use four sprays a day (I recommend spraying behind your ears and inside elbow).
You Can watch my unboxing video that was done live on the Boxession facebook group here via our YouTube channel:
February Secret Scent Box contents are:
FCUK – FCUK3 FOR HER
DAVIDOFF COOL WATER WOMAN
GUCCI BLOOM
The box costs just £15.00 a month (free postage and packaging)
So time to talk about the fragrances
FCUK- FCUK3 OR HER:
TOP NOTES: Mandarin Orange, Pink Pepper & Red Berries.
MIDDLE NOTES: Jasmine, Gardenia & Rose.
BASE NOTES: Amber, Woody Notes & Vanilla.
This particular Fragrance to me smells very fruity like something a young girl would wear and not something suitable for myself but I do like it and currently at the moment the smallest bottle size and price available to buy is 100ml for £8 so price wise is reasonable and a perfect gift for maybe a teenage girl or a lady with a young cutesy/sweet personality who loves sweet smells.
DAVIDOFF COOL WATER WOMAN:
TOP NOTES: Mint, Watermelon, Pineapple & Blackcurrant.
MIDDLE NOTES: May Rose, Jasmine & Muguet.
BASE NOTES: Iris, Vetiver, Peach & Mulberry.
Davidoff cool water for woman smells exactly like the men’s version to me and the only difference is the scent strength as I think the woman’s version is less in your face compared to the men’s version which I love as my husband to be wears Davidoff Cool Water men’s fragrance. You can buy the 100ml ETD 50ml for about £14.95 online. After a while this perfume starts to get too much for me mainly because the fragrance seems to have too much going on all at once.
GUCCI BLOOM:
TOP NOTES: Rangoon Creeper
MIDDLE NOTES: Jasmine Bud
BASE NOTES: Natural Tuberose
I absolutely love this fragrance but unfortunately it does set off my asthma (booo), anyway this fragrance is absolutely beautiful and so simple yet elegant fresh scent perfect “fancy” night out perfume. This particular perfume costs round about £61.50 for 50ml but is definitely worth it if you like it.
MY VERDICT ON THE SECRET SCENT BOX:
The Secret Scent Box subscription is definitely worth buying as over 12 months you will be able to test 36 different perfumes, that’s 108ml of perfumes and over 360 days worth of perfume to sample.
I think the concept and presentation of this particular subscription is just extraordinary and most definitely worth every penny.
So lets talk prices…
All Free Postage and Packaging (woohoo love free postage)
12 month subscription £13 a month (£156 billed upfront)
6 month subscription £14 a month (£84 billed upfront)
Monthly recurring subscription £15 a month
