Prepared Fiber--all of this is prepared by me :) the following 4 are cheaper as I can ship them in normal envelopes

A: 0.14 oz, combed top. Blend of bfl, tencel, tussah silk, corriedale, merino. Very soft and shiny. $8.
B: 0.11 oz, combed top. Blend of tussah silk (black) and mohair locks (green). $8
C: 0.22 oz, combed top. Same blend as A, just a lot more of it and in different combos. Distinct gradient from one end to the other. $10
D: 0.4 oz, rolag (made on blending board). Tussah silk, mohair, and bfl. Very squishy and fine. $13

E: 0.29 oz. Rolag, wool and cotton blend. Even more stripes of color under the surface. $13
F: 0.51 oz. Rolag, wool blend with some Angelina. Purple underneath. $15

G: 4.75 ounces. Rolags (many many rolags). Blend of various wools; some fibers are not quite next to skin soft, but overall it's a soft blend. Mix of red, orange, white, purple, and black. $45

H: 1 ounce. Washed longwool fleece (breed unknown). Dyed by myself with onion skin. $10
I: 1.2 ounces. Southdown flax blend, predrafted from rolags. Could potentially make up to 6 ounces total of this. $18
FLEECE

J: 6 ounces. Washed jacob lambsfleece. Very soft for a jacob, large bits of vm (was able to get it out with hand cards). $20
K: 5.5 ounces. Hampshire with 2+ years growth, washed fleece. Definitely an odd fleece, not like your usual down breed. Has vm; washed it multiple times but still looks gross--I've found its almost impossible to get totally clean before it's yarn. Recommend combing, spinning, then washing. Nice and soft. $25
L: 7.5 ounces BFL cross. Very soft and with good luster. Some vm, was able to remove with hand cards. $25
M: 4.75 oz. Jacob x Border Leicester. Good luster, warm brown tips. Nicely soft. $20
SPINDLES:

1: thin spindle (7 inches long). Good for cobweb weight but can achieve thinner and thicker. Birch wood with woodburning. $80
2: thick spindle (7 inches long). Good for laceweight but can achieve thinner and thicker. Wood type unknown (some sort of fruit tree iirc). No woodburning due to lots of wormholes and spalting which provide their own visual interest (they don't cause problems spinning don't worry). $60
3: thick spindle (6.5 in long). Good for laceweight, can spin thicker and thinner. No clue on wood type. Woodburned on most of the surface, the rest has wormholes again. $90
BAGS

4: handblended handspun handknit drawstring project bag, 20 inch circumference. Cord is handspun flax. It's folded in half in the bigger picture. $90
5: handblended handspun handknit pouch. Don't remember the circumference but you can compare to the other bag. Body is entirely southdown babydoll wool. Handle is handspun icord. $75

HANDSPUN YARN
6: 4 oz, 325 yards. Hand blended and handspun. Alpaca, wool, silk, silk noil, angelina. 2 ply fingering weight. Very textured. $65
7: 5.75 oz, 572 yds. Merino and silk blend, 2 ply, dk weight. Blended for a triangle shawl, stripes get longer as you go. Very soft, shines very beautiful in the light. $115
Please DM if you're interested--first come first serve. I take payment via ko-fi.

My Sun, My Light (Link x Reader)
(a/n) my heart has been aching for something soft and gentle, and if life won't give it to me, i'll give it to myself lol
extremely short and written in 30 min
cw: fluff
wc: 325
♤♢ ~~ ♡♧
"You're radiant."
Your pruned hands froze in the sudsy basin, nearly dropping the half-washed plate into a pillow of bubbles. You turned to meet your lover with his head cocked and hip pressed against the threshold.
"H-Huh?"
"(F/N), you're glowing." His voice was kind, like the soft glory of the setting sun. "You're... beautiful."
Link's quiet eyes crinkled; he could not believe that Zelda was the Goddess incarnate--for Her Divinity was standing before him. How he envied the softness the twilight beheld you in; his own brutish and wartorn hands were incapable of such gentleness. He loved the way your eyelashes caught the sun, loved how they shone off the glistening pools of (E/C).
Oh, how he had fallen so deeply into everything that was you.
"Link..." Red looked wonderful on you. "You're embarrassing me..."
A cherubic chortle left him and he found himself drawn to your glow, like a moth to a flame--a flame that shone so brightly but never burned. A love so steady, so deeply devoted, he could count on your presence the same way he could count on his next breath.
"I'm grateful to have you in my life." He pressed his forehead against yours, feeling the sun's warmth transfer to his own skin. "I just wanted to let you know."
You wrought your wet hands into your apron before throwing them around his neck. A tender look shared only between lovers, followed shortly by the purest form of love.
Your lips melted into a soft reunion and moved in perfect dance, with a degree of synchrony brought only through time and ardor. His sigh tickled your cheeks and you felt yourself smiling, then laughing, then pressing your face into his chest as he laughed with you.
You were his never-setting sun. His eternal illumination. You were soft-handed and warm in a world where you were expected to be cold and calloused. But you were kind.
You were kind.

-
He checks his phone early in the morning, he left Bea in the room so she could sleep in alongside the kids. He sipped his coffee while leaning his lower back against the counter, sans shirt with his sweatpants on. “Email I’m gonna reply later, spam, spam, ohh, discount? Nice.” he chuckles as he stars it.
It was Sunday and Bea’s family asked them to join for lunch, since it was the first time in a while that all the Schiavoni kids were together. He knew they still had time, so he didn’t have to worry about that. Jolene lies by his feet, the pittie was quietly snoring while her pups were inside the twins’ and Nicole’s room, keeping him company that morning.
The last email he saw was the confirmation about his promotion. So…next week. He inhales, rereading the email over and over before he arches his brows, ‘Damn.” he whispers, the little anxiety bug crawling up inside his stomach, “Next week…my promotion is next week Jojo.” the dog huffs in reply.
Rooster sat there for a moment, contemplating the upcoming changes. The weight of the promotion settled on his shoulders, and he exhales again. Jolene, sensing his mood, nudged her head against his leg, offering a comforting presence.
"Yeah, girl," Rooster mumbled, absentmindedly stroking Jolene's fur. "Next week is gonna be a big one."
As he sipped his coffee, he allowed his thoughts to wander. The promotion seemed so far away a few days ago, he doesn’t know what happened…well, no, he knew what happened, time went by…but in reality, he was…still getting used to all this. He didn’t know why he was nervous.
The sound of footsteps approached, and Rooster looked up to see Beatrice, her hair tousled from sleep, wearing a cozy sweater and leggings. Her eyes held a warmth that made Rooster's heart skip a beat.
"Morning," she greeted, rubbing her eyes and shuffling closer to him so she could press a soft kiss on his cheek. "Hmmm…you made us coffee?”
"Morning, gorgeous," Rooster replied with a smile, pointing to the coffee maker "Yep, got the coffee brewing. Figured we could use a little morning boost. Spoil you a bit.”
Beatrice smiled, appreciating the gesture as she leans against his shoulder. " As if you don’t do it already…thank you, you–” she yawns “You're the best, Roos." She closes her eyes for a second, crossing her arms, “...I’m all sore.”
“Oh?”
“My ankle is good though, but my whole body is like,” and she flexes her hand, “Pulsating.”
Rooster chuckled, running his fingers through Beatrice's tousled hair. "Well, you did give it your all on the court yesterday. A bit of soreness is a small price to pay for the victory, don't you think?"
She grinned, painfully so "Yeah…totally worth it. But it was so much fun playing again."
Rooster nodded, "I'm glad you enjoyed it. But if the soreness gets too much, we can always arrange for a relaxing massage.”
“Roos.”
“An innocent one.”
She huffs a laugh, playfully swatting his bare chest, “Don’t tempt me….mama wants us to go there for lunch, if we do that, we might never leave. And you know how they are if we don’t show up.”
Rooster chuckled, "Well, if it involves good food and some pampering, who could resist? I'm in. Just warn them, though, I might indulge a bit too much and fall into a food coma."
She laughs softly, looking up at him with those big green eyes “You know she'll pack some leftovers for us to take home."
"Your mother’s leftovers are like treasures."
“And she loves to pamper you.”
His cheeks darkened as he smiles, “Well,” he shrugs, ‘She did give me you,so I don’t mind.”
Beatrice chuckled at his response, her eyes sparkling with affection with her cheeks turning pink. "You are too sweet, but let's try to not keep her waiting. I can practically hear my siblings complaining about how we're always late."
Rooster smirked, "Fashionably late is our trademark. Can't disappoint the fans." he says, “Also, Michael, is complaining about our lateness? Your brother?”
She laughs as she pours herself some coffee, petting Jolene on the way, “Listen, we both know Mike is…” and she makes a face trying to find the words, “Just like that. You know his brain starts waking up after ten o’clock.”
Rooster wrapped his arms around her waist from behind, pulling her closer. "Hmmm…true,” he props his chin on her shoulder. “...so my promotion ceremony is next week,”
She seemed more alert this time, stopping mixing the sugar in her mug, “Oh?”
“Yeah, got the confirmation email this morning. It's happening next week. And, umm, they want me to prepare a little speech. Nothing fancy, just a few words."
Her eyes gleamed with pride. "A speech? Oh, you'll do great. What are you thinking of saying?"
Rooster scratched the back of his head, a bashful smile playing on his lips. "Well, I…don’t know.” he answers honestly, returning his arm around her waist as she sips her coffee, “I should’ ve thought of something…”
Beatrice turned in his embrace, facing him with a small smile. "Aw baby?"
Rooster chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck. It's just...I want it to be meaningful, you know? Not too formal, not too casual. Just...me."
She reached up, cupping his cheek affectionately. "Roos, whatever you say will be perfect. Just speak from the heart.” she shrugs “That's what people want to hear."
He nodded, a soft smile spreading across his face. "You always know the right things to say, don't you?"
Beatrice grinned, "Just trying to be the supportive wife you deserve."
Rooster leaned down, pressing a sweet kiss to her forehead. "Well, you're doing an excellent job at it."
She hummed happily, closing her eyes "So, any idea what you're going to wear for the ceremony?" Beatrice asked, breaking the comfortable silence.
Rooster raised an eyebrow. "Are you implying my uniform isn't stylish enough?"
She playfully swatted his chest again. "Oh, no. The uniform is perfect. I was just thinking about your 'after' look. You know, for the celebration."
Rooster frowns “....my uniform?”
“Honey.”
Beatrice gave him a patient look. "Roos, it's not that I don't appreciate the uniform, you know I love,” and she clears her throat, her body warming up, “L-Love the uniform. It's just... I thought maybe you'd want to change into something more casual and comfortable after the ceremony. You know, for the celebration with friends and family."
He tried very hard to hide his smile, “Come again?”
She shuddered, oh,him and his innuendos “What?”
“...you said something about me in uniform.” he smirks, “Care to clarify?”
Beatrice blushed, realizing the unintentional double entendre in her words. "Roos, don't get all cheeky on me. You-you know what I meant."
Rooster smirked, lowering his gaze to her lips and then slowly leaning closer. "Oh, I know exactly what you meant, gorgeous. Just trying to keep you on your toes."
"You're impossible."
"That's why you love me."
“It is one of the reasons.’ she smiles, “But,really, do what makes you feel comfortable, we still have a whole week to plan everything.” she cups his cheeks, “Okay?”
“...okay.” he smiles, “Okay,gorgeous.”
Beatrice leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to his lips. "Thank you, Roos. Now, let's focus on the rest of the day. Um,” she rubs her eyes, “We still have two hours before lunch at my parents and the kids are still asleep.”
–
“Aaaaaah! My babies!!”
Beatrice barely had the time to say hi before her mother picked Nicole from her hold, her father standing a few feet behind as Bea and Rooster stood on the front porch. Claudia kissed Nicole’s cheeks over and over, whispering in Italian before putting the oldest Bradshaw child down and focusing her attention on the twins inside the carriers, “Oh,oh, they look so big.” she whispers, sniffling, “Oh,come on in,come on in the two of you.”
Beatrice and Rooster followed Claudia inside, stepping into the familiar warmth of the Schiavoni family home. The aroma of Italian spices wafted through the air, and both of them couldn’t help but inhale deeply
As they entered the living room, Beatrice's father, finally took the time to say something since his wife was just being all over the place. "It's good to see you both," he said, giving Rooster a firm handshake. "And who do we have here?" he added, his eyes lighting up as he looked at the carriers.
Rooster held the twins with a proud smile. "They are both wide awake.” And Aurora was the most talkative already, “They woke up seconds before we left.”
Claudia squealed in delight, "Oh, Bea, why didn't you tell us you were bringing the grandkids?!"
“Mamma,why wouldn’t I?”
Claudia sniffled again,”You know what I mean! Oh I have to prepare everything for them!”
“Mamma.”
"Leave her, tesoro,” Rafael says, “Your mom will never stop unless you let her do it.” and he picks Nicole up from the floor, the sound of voices outside getting louder, “Most of them are here. They brought the kids too.”
“Yeah?” Bea asks, following her father, “I’m glad…how are you papa?”
Rafael smiled, a warmth in his eyes. "I'm doing well, tesoro. Just enjoying the peace and quiet, you know how it is."
Beatrice nodded, her gaze flickering to the familiar surroundings of her childhood home. "Yeah, I missed this place. Did you guys paint the walls again?”
Rafael chuckled, "Michael’s idea, it was peeling off and..you know how my back is now.”
Claudia, in the meantime, was bustling around the kitchen, preparing some snacks and treats for everyone. The familiar clinking of pots and pans, the scent of delicious Italian dishes, and the sound of animated conversations filled the air.
Rooster, standing by her side, observed the lively scene with a smile. "Your family always knows how to throw a warm welcome, Bea."
She nodded, "They sure do. Mamma doesn't know the meaning of a small gathering." she says, “We’re the only ones here, right papa?”
“Hm?”
“No one else is coming,right?”
Are any of her shitty cousins coming?
Rafael blinked at her, then smiled, “Only us.” and she immediately relaxed, “Sabrina will arrive later, only Michael and Leo are here right now-” he pauses, hearing shouting from the outside, “They are playing truco.”
“Truco?” Rooster asks, not helping himself, “What’s that?”
Rafael chuckled, leading them towards the backyard where the voices grew louder. "Truco is a traditional card game we love to play. It's a bit like poker, but with a lot more shouting and gesturing."
“MOTHER FUCKER!”
Rafael gestured to Leonardo who was smugly looking at a fuming Michael, “See?” they sat across each other, while Hannah and Cynthia were busy talking amongst themselves. Nicole rushed over to Bianca and Éowyn once she noticed her cousins and Beatrice waved at her sisters’ in law.
"Truco is serious business in this family," Beatrice explained, a playful smile on her face. "It's a mix of strategy, bluffing, and a whole lot of drama."
Rooster chuckled, settling into the chair. "Sounds intense. I'm ready for the show."
“Brad should join,” Michael says, “Come on man, you can help me out.”
“I never played it.”
Michael grinned, gesturing to the empty chair next to him. "No worries, Brad. I'll teach you the ropes. It's all in good fun."
Rooster exchanged a glance with Beatrice, who nodded with an encouraging smile. "Go ahead, Roos. I’ll be right here.” she says softly, “I’ll talk to the girls a bit.”

AI can't learn writing for you.
16-18-year-old British students in the early 2000s were expected to write 600 words on their essay-based exam papers. In 2018, top students wrote an average of 694 words per hour in GCSE English Literature (which most English students take at 16). Without a computer (unless they had a handwriting-affecting disability). In my job, I'm expected to write up to 300 words per ticket, as well as fix the issues I encounter. Sometimes I write 900 words per hour in addition to fixing 6 different issues. There's no time to get an AI to write what happened - I need to do that myself, and ensure the draft is good enough to be read by professionals up and down the organisation. Indeed, writing more words was associated with higher marks: - Papers which were marked E typically had 200 words (anything below E back then was considered almost as much use as a fail, except for people with seriously disrupted run-ups to the exams or who had such disabilities that passing at all was considered remarkable). - Papers marked C (the lowest grade useful to go on to further academic courses) typically had 325 words. - B-grade papers (the grade at which students doing further English Literature would be expected to have) typically had 500 words
- A-grade papers typically had 750 words.
- A*-grade papers were never shorter than 300 words. They averaged slightly shorter/more concise than A-grade papers, but it was still typical to write 650 words or so. 600 words, by the way, was about 2 1/2 pages of A4 paper. They did it by the following methods:
Write essays by hand (or by typing, but by hand builds endurance better because it's physically more difficult to write than type).
Learn to write/type to automaticity. Thinking about how to record one's thoughts makes it harder to think.
Make sure you know how to write a good sentence, paragraph, argument, evidence point, and train of thought. These are the construction pieces of essays.
Follow a sequence of writing increasingly long items of text.
Get good feedback on the text from someone who knows how to write well.
Do some writing against the clock (timed). Sprint writing mixed with endurance writing. Think of writing as an athletic discipline, not just an academic one.
Find things you enjoy writing about, and write about them.
If something is stopping you from writing, do something about it. Do not make it something dependent on mood or workload.
Practise writing while needing to do other things at the same time. Perhaps listening to music, or following a commentary (live-commenting is a great way to get good at this for sports fans).
Practise making your existing writing longer. Cite and reference your academic work, even if you're not yet being asked to do it. Add one more example, one more step, one more paragraph to your work.
Write stories and narratives.
Try writing about yourself, one aspect at a time.
Write to friends and relatives. A postal correspondence can do wonders for encouraging writing.
Do exam practises in exam conditions and timed. If the conditions are a struggle, try also writing other things in such conditions (e.g. a writers' jam).
Being comfortable with writing quite a lot about things that interest you will pay off again and again. It will make writing letters easier (something adults still have to do quite a bit, even if the Strongly-Worded Letter has largely become the Strongly-Worded Email). Your social media will benefit from being easier to write. Reading long documents others have written may well feel less daunting. Your verbal creativity will definitely benefit. Also, you will find it easier to self-teach anything you want to learn in future.
AI can't learn for you by writing. You can.
Word count: 650
im still losing it over the "how did high schoolers write 600 word essays before chatgpt" post. 600 words. that is nothing. that is so few words what do you mean you can't write 600 words. 600 words. this post right here is 45 words.

Macarons with Strawberry-Cardamom Buttercream
Ingredients:
Macaron Shells
150 grams blanched, finely ground almond flour
150 grams confectioners' sugar
⅛ teaspoon table salt
113 grams egg whites (measure from lightly beaten whites of 4 large eggs), divided
⅛ teaspoon cream of tartar
150 grams granulated sugar
60 grams water
3–7 drops gel food coloring
Strawberry-Cardamom Buttercream
10 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
1¼ cups (5 ounces) confectioners' sugar
Pinch table salt
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon heavy cream
½ cup freeze-dried strawberries
¼ teaspoon ground cardamom
Instructions:
FOR THE MACARON SHELLS: Using pencil and 1½-inch round biscuit cutter as guide, trace thirty 1½-inch circles on each of 2 pieces of parchment (5 evenly spaced rows of 6 circles on each piece of parchment). Spray 2 baking sheets with vegetable oil spray. Place templates pencil side down on sheets and smooth to adhere. Sift flour, confectioners' sugar, and salt through fine-mesh strainer into large bowl and set aside.
Measure 75 grams of egg whites into bowl of stand mixer fitted with whisk attachment (reserve remaining whites). Add cream of tartar. Start mixer on medium-high speed and whip until soft peaks form, 2 to 3 minutes (see "A" in "Making the Shells"). Turn mixer to lowest speed and let run while you make sugar syrup.
Using heatproof spatula, gently stir sugar and water together in small saucepan. Cook over medium-high heat, without stirring, until sugar dissolves. Continue to cook, checking temperature frequently, until sugar syrup reaches 245 degrees, 4 to 5 minutes.
When syrup reaches 245 degrees, quickly remove pan from heat; adjust mixer speed to medium; and carefully pour syrup into whites in thin, steady stream (avoid hitting whisk; aim for side of bowl just above whites; see "B" in "Making the Shells"). Add food coloring; increase speed to medium-high; and continue to whip until meringue is just shy of stiff peaks (very tip of peak should bend to 2 or 3 o'clock), 3 to 5 minutes (see "C" in "Making the Shells").
Transfer meringue and reserved 38 grams egg whites to almond flour mixture. Using large rubber spatula, stir to incorporate. Turning bowl, stir and smear batter against sides of bowl, scraping sides and bottom frequently until batter loosens and flows from spatula in slow, wide stream for 8 to 10 seconds and reincorporates into batter within about 30 seconds (see "D" in "Making the Shells"). (To test consistency, place spoonful of batter on prepared sheet and let sit for 1 minute. If batter spreads into flat, smooth-topped disk, continue with recipe; if it remains domed, continue stirring, taking care not to overmix, and retest.)
Transfer batter to pastry bag fitted with ½-inch round tip. Hold bag perpendicular to sheet and about ½ inch above sheet. Using template as guide, pipe batter into 1½-inch-wide disks, keeping bag still as batter flows from tip. To finish each disk, use quick flick of your wrist to cut off batter stream (see "E" in "Making the Shells"). Rap sheets firmly on counter 6 times to release air bubbles. Let rest until shells form skin that can be touched gently with your finger without marring surface, about 20 minutes ("F" in "Making the Shells"). While shells dry, adjust oven rack to lower-middle position and heat oven to 325 degrees.
Bake 1 sheet of shells for 13 minutes. To test for doneness, place your finger gently on top of 1 shell and move it side to side; if center feels loose and jiggly, continue to bake, checking every minute, until firm. Transfer sheet to wire rack and bake remaining shells. Let shells cool completely on sheets. While shells cool, make filling.
FOR THE STRAWBERRY-CARDAMOM BUTTERCREAM: Using stand mixer fitted with paddle attachment, beat butter at medium-high speed until smooth, about 20 seconds. Add sugar and salt; beat at medium-low speed until most of sugar is moistened, about 45 seconds. Scrape down sides of bowl and beat at medium speed until mixture is fully combined, about 15 seconds; scrape down bowl. Add heavy cream and vanilla and beat at medium speed until incorporated, about 10 seconds. Increase speed to medium-high and beat until light and fluffy, about 4 minutes, scraping down bowl once or twice during mixing.
Meanwhile, grind strawberries in spice grinder until reduced to fine powder. Sift powder through fine-mesh strainer set over small bowl. Add 1 tablespoon plus 2 teaspoons powder and cardamom to buttercream and beat on medium speed until fully incorporated, about 30 seconds. Add more strawberry powder to taste, as desired. Transfer to pastry bag fitted with ½-inch round or star tip. (Buttercream can be refrigerated for up to 2 days; let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes before using.)
TO ASSEMBLE: Gently peel shells from parchment (see "G" in "Making the Shells"). (If shells don't release cleanly, place sheets in freezer for 10 minutes.) Holding 1 upturned shell in your hand, pipe about 2 teaspoons filling on top, leaving ⅛-inch border. Place second shell on top of filling, pressing gently until filling spreads to edges. Repeat with remaining shells and filling. Arrange cookies on clean parchment-lined sheet and wrap well. Refrigerate for at least 24 hours or up to 1 week or freeze for up to 2 months. Bring to room temperature before serving.

NEED TO MAKE RENT SALE
As you may have seen I'm selling some of my handspun yarn, along with some fleece, batts, rolags, and other odds and ends. I'm really short on rent this month, largely due to having so many flare up days that working was almost impossible. So, I'm selling some of my work in the hopes that I can still make rent somehow. I need over $500.
Im also linking to my kofi. If you don't wish to buy anything but still want to help me make rent--which I would appreciate so much <3
I'll be updating this post as I sell things so please make sure to click back to my original post to check if it's still available. First come first serve. Unless otherwise stated, all shipping is $5 USD to within the USA. If you're outside of the USA please let me know--shipping will likely be between $30-50 USD depending on to where, but I am happy to work with you if you're interested.
PLEASE DM ME IF YOU WANT TO BUY SOMETHING <3

YARNS (please ignore the slips of paper, ive given everything a nice label now)
A: 572 yards/ 480 meters. 5.75 oz/ 165 grams. 2 ply, approximately DK weight. Silk and merino blend assembled by myself. There are stripes of different greens which are arranged to be bigger at one end than the other, so a triangle shawl (working from the correct end of yarn) will have stripes that are more or less even instead of getting thicker near the narrow end of the shawl. I don't know how noticeable the effect will be, though. Silky soft and shines beautifully in the sun. $100 USD or best offer.
B: 175 yards/160 meters. 2 oz/ 57 grams. 2 ply, light fingering weight to sport weight. Luxury blend of alpaca, cormo, debouillet, silk, silk noil, angora, and cashmere. Very textured due to how I plied it and some noils, but also extremely soft and with lovely drape. Next to skin soft. $60 USD or best offer. SOLD
C: 176 yards/160 meters. 2.25 oz/64 grams. 2 ply, light worsted. Merino, silk, silk noil, angora, and mystery wool blend. Next to skin soft, lots of different colors, and good drape. $50 USD or best offer. SOLD
D: 152 yards/130 meters. 2 oz/57 grams. 3 ply, light worsted. Cormo, alpaca, and merino blend. This yarn was arranged into a stripey gradient--white stripes separating a light purple to dark purple gradient. 3 ply. Incredibly soft--would be perfect for a hat or cowl. $55 USD or best offer.
E: 100 yards/91 meters. 2.5 oz/71 grams. Traditional 3 ply, aran/bulky weight. Romney 3 ply. Durable, squishy, and warm, but not particularly soft. Would make a great hat or gloves. $35 USD or best offer SOLD
F: 140 yards/128 meters. 1.75 oz/50 grams. Traditional 3 ply, fingering weight. Beautiful BFL yarn in autumn colors. Due to the traditional 3 ply the colors constantly shift and change. Very soft and with good drape. $45 USD or best offer. SOLD
G: 325 yards/300 meters. 4 oz/115 grams. 2 ply, fingering weight. Wool, silk, silk noil, alpaca, and Angelina blend. Very textured but soft and drapey. $80 USD or best offer.
H: 166 yards/145 meters. 2 oz/57 grams. 2 ply worsted weight. Targhee, BFL, Angelina blend. Incredibly soft and drapey. Fuzzy and lightly underplied for maximum softness (so a little delicate). Next to skin quality. $45 USD or best offer.
(I'll accept the highest offer I get in a timely manner, so if you really want something and think other people also want to buy it, you can offer more to potentially guarantee you get it. Or offer less, and get it for cheaper if nobody else wants it. Although I wont accept very low offers, sorry.)

BATTS AND ROLAGS. These all contain several large handfuls of milkweed floss, because why not. Very fun and soft to spin.
A. 0.75 oz/21 grams. Romney, BFL, silk, bamboo, Targhee, milkweed floss. Somewhat soft, would be very soft if plied with a fine fiber. Lots of purples and blues, with small amounts of rainbow. Should yield a heathered, smooth yarn except for bumps of milkweed floss. $15 USD or best offer. SOLD
B. 0.75 ounces/21 grams. Naturally dyed Shetland combing waste (yellow), BFL, silk merino, milkweed floss. Many different colors arranged in stripes--yellow and blue primarily. Should yield a textured yarn due to the combing waste, but also lofty and colorful. Fairly soft and very squishy. $15 USD or best offer.
C: 0.5 oz/14 grams. Tussah silk, BFL, merino, merino combing waste, milkweed floss. Very soft. Majority tussah silk which is charcoal black. The other colors are dark purple, a few streaks of red, and the shining white from the milkweed floss. Should spin up to a fine and soft yarn. I am also able to make more of these, which would be the same weight and price and matching the original as closely as possible. Let me know if you want several. $12 USD or best offer. SOLD -- but i can make more, if youre interested !
D: 0.5 oz/14 grams. Merino combing waste, merino, BFL, silk, milkweed floss. Buttery soft. Mostly dark brown with purple, blue, and white streaks. I can make several identical ones if desired, for the same price each. $12 USD or best offer. SOLD -- but i can more, if you're interested !
E: 0.5 oz/14 grams. BFL merino, mystery wool and milkweed floss blend. This has stripes of purple and blue, suspended a squishy mystery combing waste. Should yield a fine but squishy yarn. $10 USD or best offer. SOLD
If I sell all or most of these I will make some more !

FLEECE. I am selling by the ounce (28 grams). I'm also willing to process these into fluffy hand carded rolags or fine hand combed top as desired, which will cost extra depending on how difficult the fiber is to process.
A. Jacob lambswool. Very soft but lots of large vm (so, easy to pick out) and nepps/noils. Those will stay in the fiber unless combed, so this tends to produce a very soft, bumpy yarn. I love this fleece but I just can't seem to use it up. Primarily dark brown, but I also have some white and mixed as well. I have about 8 ounces. Washed but still a tiny bit greasy (just to my preference). $3 an ounce.
B: Rambouillet. I have almost a pound of this stuff. Incredibly buttery soft. Like touching seafoam. But it has a ton of fine VM, so it can only be cleaned either lock by lock on hand cards or combed. I am willing to clean it for you. Takes a long time to get into a spinnable state but it is SO worth it. $2 an ounce. SOLD
C: Breed unknown. Some sections are salmon pink, others closer to hot pink. Not much vm, can be combed open lock by lock on hand cards or combed into top. Yields a silky, strong, hairy yarn. Willing to process for you (this would be one of the cheaper ones to do, it's very easy). I have 5 ounces. $2 an ounce. SOLD
D & E: These are both rya lambswool, naturally dyed with yellow onion skin (the bright yellow one with alum, the copper one with copper). Very soft and silky, spins up to a surprisingly robust yarn. Absolute treat to work with. Some vm but the nature of this fleece causes the vm to fall out pretty easily. I have about a pound total. Will process for you. Washed and dyed by myself. $5 an ounce. D IS SOLD, E IS STILL AVAILABLE
F: Sunshine Shetland. Very soft and fine. Naturally dyed, again with onion skins. The tips are somewhat felted and need to be pulled off, which is quick and easy. If combed lock by lock and then spun that way you can get a subtle gradient of orange to yellow with each lock... absolutely gorgeous. Will process for you. I have about 10 ounces. Washed and dyed by myself. $5 per ounce. SOLD
G: Red Hampshire. Not neon red like in the picture, more of a brick red. Very soft and foamy. Some vm. Easy to process on hand cards by combing lock by lock or turning into a rolag. Washed and dyed (using food coloring) by myself. I only have an ounce and a quarter--which is $6 for all of it. SOLD

COMBING WASTE GRAB BAGS
These are 1 ounce bags of primarily combing waste (so, short fibers and likely some vm) along with other interesting scrap such as mohair locks, colorful merino, and sometimes the occasional single rolag. Lots of the colors are naturally dyed by myself. Great for turning into rolags or using for batt fodder. These are $5 USD if you're buying more than one item (that could be yarn, another grab bag, some fleece, etc) or $10 USD each if you are only buying a single grab bag.

SPINDLES
Lastly, I'm also selling some spindles. A-C are whittled and decorated by myself. D is a beautiful Dealgan which I never could figure out how to use.
A. Supported spindle carved from a fruit tree. I gave it a steeple shape, which does make it slow to spin with. Really enjoyable for special spins that you want to do slowly and thoughtfully. Small spindle, about the length of my hand. $55 USD or best offer.
B. Onion dome supported spindle. Very light for its size, so it can hold a decent cop on it. Small spindle--about the length of my hand. $50 USD or best offer. SOLD ! thank you 🩵🩵🩵
C: Larch spindle. This one has lots of beautiful spalting, as well as being woodburned. Also the length of my hand. Has a very distinct feel to it, sort of in an alive way. $90 USD or best offer.
D: Lightning Dealgan. I got it for $50 and it's basically unused, so reselling for $50 USD. Very heavy and smooth.
And thats it ! If you don't want to buy anything but still wish to help me make rent, you can also donate to my kofi, which would mean the world to me <3

Novo Assistente Virtual MBUX

Solução personalizada do Google Maps

Title: The Ultimate Guide to a Balanced Diet: Fuel Your Body for Success
In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to grab unhealthy snacks or skip meals in favor of convenience. However, a balanced diet is the cornerstone of good health, providing the essential nutrients your body needs to function at its best. Whether you’re looking to boost energy, maintain a healthy weight, or simply feel better day-to-day, fueling your body with the right foods is the key to success. In this post, we’ll break down the essential substances in a balanced diet, explain their benefits, and provide actionable tips on how to incorporate them into your routine.
1. Protein – The Building Block of Life
Protein is an essential macronutrient that supports muscle growth, tissue repair, and immune function. It’s also a key player in maintaining healthy skin, hair, and nails. Foods like chicken, fish, eggs, beans, and lentils are rich in protein. For vegetarians or vegans, plant-based options like quinoa, tofu, and tempeh are excellent sources. Recommended Dosage: Aim for 1.2 to 2.0 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight, depending on your activity level. For example, a 70 kg person should consume between 84–140 grams of protein per day. Why It Matters: Protein helps control hunger, aids in muscle recovery, and supports metabolic function. Consuming adequate protein throughout the day ensures your body has the fuel it needs for strength and recovery.
2. Healthy Fats – Fuel Your Brain and Body
Fats often get a bad rap, but they’re a crucial part of a healthy diet. Healthy fats, such as omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, are essential for brain health, hormone regulation, and cell structure. Sources include avocados, nuts, seeds, olive oil, and fatty fish like salmon. Recommended Dosage: Aim for 20-35% of your total daily caloric intake from healthy fats. For a 2,000-calorie diet, that’s around 44-78 grams of fat per day. Why It Matters: Healthy fats help with the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, and K) and support long-term energy. They also improve satiety, which can prevent overeating.
3. Carbohydrates – Your Body’s Primary Energy Source
Carbohydrates provide the energy needed for your brain and muscles to function optimally. While refined sugars and white bread can cause spikes in blood sugar, whole grains, fruits, and vegetables offer complex carbs that digest slowly and provide sustained energy. Recommended Dosage: Aim for 45-65% of your daily calories from carbohydrates. For a 2,000-calorie diet, that’s about 225-325 grams per day. Why It Matters: Carbs fuel your workouts, enhance mental clarity, and help stabilize blood sugar. Consuming high-quality carbs helps maintain energy levels throughout the day and prevents crashes.
4. Fiber – The Digestive Hero
Fiber is a type of carbohydrate that your body can’t digest, but it plays an essential role in digestion and overall health. There are two types of fiber: soluble fiber (found in oats, beans, and apples) and insoluble fiber (found in whole grains and vegetables). Recommended Dosage: Aim for 25–30 grams of fiber per day, with a balance of both soluble and insoluble types. Why It Matters: Fiber promotes healthy digestion, regulates bowel movements, and helps control blood sugar levels. It also keeps you feeling full longer, aiding in weight management and reducing cravings.
5. Vitamins and Minerals – Essential for Overall Health
Vitamins and minerals are vital for countless bodily functions, from immune support to bone health. These micronutrients are found in a wide range of foods, including fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and dairy products. Some of the most important include Vitamin C (boosts immunity), calcium (supports bone health), iron (aids oxygen transport), and magnesium (supports muscle and nerve function). Recommended Dosage: The recommended daily intake varies by vitamin and mineral. For example, adults should aim for 1,000 mg of calcium and 18 mg of iron per day, but the specific needs vary depending on age, gender, and activity level. Why It Matters: These micronutrients play a critical role in preventing chronic diseases, supporting energy production, and ensuring that your body functions at its peak.
6. Water – The Often-Overlooked Essential
Water is the most vital component of your diet. While it doesn’t provide energy or calories, it supports virtually every function in the body. From digestion to circulation, staying hydrated is key to optimal performance. Recommended Dosage: Aim for 8-10 cups (about 2-2.5 liters) of water per day, depending on activity level and climate. Why It Matters: Proper hydration supports energy, cognitive function, and digestion. It also helps control hunger, as thirst can sometimes be mistaken for hunger.
7. Probiotics – Gut Health for Better Absorption
Probiotics are live bacteria that support the healthy balance of your gut microbiome. Foods like yogurt, kefir, kimchi, and sauerkraut contain probiotics that aid digestion and improve nutrient absorption. Recommended Dosage: Aim for a serving of probiotic-rich food daily or consider supplements with 1–10 billion CFUs (colony-forming units) for added gut health support. Why It Matters: A healthy gut improves digestion, boosts immune function, and helps with weight management by enhancing nutrient absorption.
Conclusion: Building a Balanced Diet for Life
A balanced diet isn’t about restriction; it’s about nourishment. By incorporating protein, healthy fats, carbohydrates, fiber, vitamins, minerals, and plenty of water into your daily meals, you’re providing your body with the tools it needs to thrive. A diet rich in diverse nutrients not only boosts energy, improves mood, and supports your metabolism but also enhances your overall health.
