Dragons as of late, analysis

So since how to train your dragon finally ended, a lot of movies/TV shows/books have come out since then trying to replicate that success, Raya and the last dragon for example. Because they think, that since trained dragons like Toothless are cute now, people want to see cute dragons like Sisu. But they forgot the keyword, 'trained.' There is a reason both of the book of dragons are around, just like Dinosaurs in movies like Jurassic park/world, dragons are still unpredictable dangerous creatures. Even with trained dragons, there are moments where they'll surprise their riders with intelligence they'd have used for hunting them, and other animals.

Dragons aren't naturally going to behave like domesticated puppy dogs who love humans enough to save them like Thunder even if curious, when brought up in the wild. as Hiccup states 'once you earn a dragons loyalty, there isn't anything they won't do for you' it's something you have to work towards for them to treat you as a friend, and later gain bestie domesticated behaviour if they are kept from a tiny tooth, or for over long periods of time.

The lightfury was a perfect reminder to the audience, she didn't love humans as a wild animal, but respected Hiccup, only because he earned her respect by respecting Toothless. But of course, people misinterpreted her so hard, calling her mean for following her nature, because we've grown too used to dragons like Stormfly and Toothless, rather than truly wild dragons that aren't side characters, or work for the villains. (Tbf the movie focusses on his role as alpha so it made it very easy to forget that dragons aren't going to be helping the good guys all the time.)

Basically the point is, dragons aren't taken as serious threats anymore, so new movies/TV shows/books (especially books, I keep finding httyd rip offs, that treat the dragons exactly like this.) have lost that horror element with dragons like the screaming/whispering death, Slitherwing, death song, etc. (the scene where the screaming death lunges at you at the end of an episode is just pure perfection) But luckily Cressidas new series seems to be on the way to bring that aspect back.

either I know exactly what I'm doing, it flows super well, and I randomly remember fancy words that make it sound way better

OR

it's a super clunky mess of trying to come up stuff when I suddenly can't remember anything about the subject, then I struggle trying to stick it all together in a coherent manner

the latter happens a lot more often than the former TnT
