My Very ‘Me Specific’ Harvey Headcanons

-Marching band nerd in high school. Marched tenor sax, played both tenor and alto sax in jazz band.

-Low reeds section leader three years in a row.

-Jazz and marching band in college!! Had to drop both in his first year of post grad studies due to school scheduling though.

-Also proficient in clarinet, trumpet, soprano and bass sax, and a bit of oboe.

-Used to make his own reeds too, but he’s forgotten how to at this point.

-I like to imagine that all the years of band gave him good pitch and that he’s actually a pretty good singer.

-Absolutely loves jazz music! (This is just canon tbh.)

-Taught himself a bit of swing dancing in what little downtime he had in college.

-Refuses to tell anyone about any of his more musically inclined hobbies. You’d literally have to pry this information out of his cold dead hands.

-The only reason the Farmer finds out about this is because Harvey keeps a picture of him in is high school band uniform as well as his college one on his desk with his radio equipment. It would definitely catch their eye the first time they’re invited into his living space.

Affectionate Medic Headcanons!

For my moot @weezerbluu

-As said before, either all the PDA or none at all.

-However, when he is in the mood for PDA, he wants as little space between you and him as possible.

-Hugs, stealing kisses, linking arms, resting his chin on your head if you’re sitting down, light touches on the shoulder, hand, thigh etc. just to let you know he’s near, definitely picks you up and just carries you around the base sometimes, laying across your lap

-Enjoys listening to you talk about your interests.

-Food as a love language

-He’s a scary good cook. If he doesn’t know how to make a dish that you want, he will find the recipe. Sometimes he’ll surprise you with an extravagant meal just because he can.

-He freaks out over the littlest injuries, not because he thinks you’re incapable of taking care of yourself, but because the thought of you being in pain hurts him.

-Takes extra care in treating your injuries, kissing each of the bandages when he’s done.

-Reads to you sometimes! His English isn’t the best so when he struggles with words, he tends to get flustered, but your reassurance calms his nerves.

-He talks nonstop about you to the other mercs when you’re not around. It’s become a running joke with the others to not mention your name in conversation because Medic will go on a ramble about how lovely you are.

-“Ah, y/n? Oh ja, I am very fortunate to have met them.” And other dorky drivel.

Thinking about my headcanons for him and Condi’s pre-breakout relationship.

How Condi probably saw an outcast child and took him under his wing, always intending to use him as a test subject.

How Tommy looked to Condi for companionship and love and was only seen as a means to an end for Condi, only a test subject.

How angry, how betrayed, Tommy felt when he was thrust into a world full of zombies with no protection or guidance.

How in each an every universe he’s in, Tommy cannot and will not get a happy ending.

More Very ‘Me Specific’ Harvey Headcanons, Highschool Edition

-Freshman Harvey who

was relentlessly bullied for being a bit heavy set in high school, finding refuge in the band room during break.

starts connecting with the people he would come to consider his family through band and feeling less alone.

got stuck with the section nickname ‘Short-stack’ due to being the shortest guy in his section. (He got his growth spurt at the end of junior year.)

develops a crippling black coffee addiction, not out of actually liking the flavor, but due to the caffeine content and ease in which it can be made on game day mornings.

had braces most of high school.

-Sophomore Harvey who

goes for section leader on a dare by the band director and gets it.

has to fight for his place as section leader. No one respects five foot something underclassman and it shows. He does find his footing though.

quickly gains the respect of his fellows through hard work and dedication.

Junior Harvey who

won All State that year but ended up not being able to play due to a sever panic attack. Ended up winning again the next year and was able to play.

Senior Harvey who

got his braces off at the beginning of the year and started to grow up both mentally and physically.

somehow won a position on homecoming court that year.

whose marching band won 1st in their region and division for the first time ever that year.

who watched as the drum major he was going to ask to the senior prom got asked out by someone else. He still thinks about them a lot and sees some of their best features and qualities in the farmer.

Harvey has a Minnesota accent that confuses the hell outta everyone because it’s not the regional accent.

(He picked it up from his band professor and never unlearned it.)

Sick Day Medic Headcanons

(Aka Mun is sick and wishes there was someone who could take care of him)

Medic’s Sick

He hides it so unbelievably well.

If he has noticeable symptoms, he’ll try to play them off as anything other than illness.

Quarantines himself under the guise of needing alone time to work on experiments.

You would have to force him to rest because heaven forbid he takes a day for himself.

“You absolute dumbass. Please rest up. It’s the only way you’ll get better.” /lovingly

Only really lets the facade fall once he’s alone.

If you catch him at this point, he’ll begrudgingly accept your help. He’ll complain about it the entire time though.

He does really appreciate that you’re there and willing to take care of him.

You’re Sick

My god, if you so much a cough when this man is in earshot, he’ll be all over you.

He may be busy, but he’ll find the time to take care of you.

Occasionally uses more natural remedies in conjunction with medicine to help relieve symptoms. Personally believes that there’s a balance to be found between natural and non natural treatments for many illnesses.

Makes your comfort food, preferably from scratch.

Bundles you up somewhere cozy, usually his bed, and makes you something warm to drink.

Won’t let you go back to your duties until your 110% better.

Really short, but I had a bit of inspiration strike and thought ‘why not!’

Medic has asthma because I have it and I said so.

He formulated his own steroids that help keep his symptoms in check but sometimes even they aren’t enough to stop him from hacking, especially the wintertime. Heavy is usually the first to notice. He caries a backup inhaler and makes Medic take a time out in spawn if it’s effecting his performance. Heavy obviously doesn’t want him to be in the middle of battle unable to breathe.

Medic has scars all over from his time in World War 2 as a combat medic, mostly on his upper arms, legs and chest. He also has a few facial scars, one over his left eye that renders the vision there a bit worse than his right, a half Glasgow smile scar on the left side and a small scar over his lips on the right side. He’s extremely self conscious about them for various reasons.

Short distance sprinter in high school!! (This is purely based off of the fact he’s got the second fastest base walking speed, second only to Scout, and the fact that if I wasn’t in band during high school, I genuinely was thinking about joining track.)

Both him and Scout have hypermobility issues! He had to teach Scout how to take care of himself because the dummy didn’t realize he was built different.

He’s interested in owning arachnids and insects!

I think he’d like to own hissing cockroaches, a scorpion and a tarantula! I think he’d be super protective of his creepy crawly friends and spoil the heck out them.

The team learned quickly that even joking around hurting Sniper’s pets will result in a harsh word.

Collects rocks! But not in the way where you go out and buy them, but in the way where he sees a shiny rock somewhere while he’s on a mission, picks it up and pockets it.

Collects ornamental knives and keeps them on a shelf in his workshop!

Cooks really good bacon and makes a mean biscuits and gravy!

Has a small succulent named Harry that he’s been spoiling for years now.

Specifically cats and birds. I feel like he’d own a pair of bengal cat, names Fergus and Ada.

Ada is the black bengal and Fergus is the snow lynx one!

As for birds, I think he’d own a Hyacinth Macaw named Hagis.

Absolutely hates receiving gifts. He understands why others give gifts, but that doesn’t mean to he particularly likes receiving them. A major part of this is just feeling like he needs to gift back in return to people and feels his gift will never be enough.

Sharp canines. People joke he looks like a dingo.

trick or treat, pyro!!

So I know many people give Pyro super childish hobbies and interests, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but I have a headcanon that they have a small interest in taxidermy.

Everything is ethically sourced and they want to learn how to prepare specimens themself!

(Taxidermy talk below cut! Nothing too detailed, but beware if you’re not into vague descriptions of the art form.)

They mainly have mounted bugs, a couple small animal wet specimens, an eel and a baby snake, and a couple of dried sea horses.
