A new year, a new story.

It's hard to believe it's been a couple of months since I last shared anything here. I've gotten quite sick in November so I had to take a break from everything. I'm starting to feel better now and hopefully will be more productive soon.

A second chance

The monsters that roamed Hyrule didn’t know what to make of the newest dragon in their skies. Unlike the others, his flight pattern was odd, unpredictable, the dragon even touched and walked on the surface of the land. One day, a group of Lizalfos were guarding their territory, when I shadow grew above them.

The Lizalfos saw it. The Life Dragon, the one that had ended their leader. But the Life Dragon didn’t show hostility towards them. Instead, he dipped his nose down to the monsters, a thrumming noise emanating from the dragons throat. A Lizalfos looked up towards the deity, and a warm teal light pulsed down from the dragons horn, filling the Lizalfos with its light. When the monsters opened their eyes, they were never the same.

This concept has been in the making for a long time!! As the Dragon of Life, Link always hated the fact that some of the life forms that roamed Hyrule were made in pure malice. He had seen them whilst he was still human, and saw how alive they were when not attacking others purely for their king. So Link decided to use his newfound magic to replace the malice inside the monsters of Hyrule with the wild magic that he housed. Turning them into true creatures, no longer puppets to the demon king. It took a while for the citizens of Hyrule and the monsters to get used to this, but they eventually found an equilibrium. The monsters were granted their own territories, and they even traded with the Hylians on occasion, even the Lynel’s rarely sold bows for material and unique foods. Could Hyrule find peace with its new race? Only time would tell, but Queen Zelda would be dammed if she didn’t try to make piece with her newest citizens

Be patient and you won't be disappointed when it unfolds. Don't expect everything to be done at the snap of the fingers, but I know everyone has heard Trump say; "The Best is Yet to Come" so hang in there. I feel we're getting close to the end. 🤔

Can you believe it's already been a whole year since I posted A New Beginning, the first story in my Return to the Shadyverse series?!

The Paris special might not be on everybody's mind right now, especially with a new season of Miraculous in full swing, but it's never out of mine- and this fic will always have a special place in my heart. ❤️ I absolutely love exploring Adrien & Marinette's potential, and post-reveal dynamic, in the alternate universe. And between you & me, I might just have some ideas on taking this series even further sometime in the future...

The bell on the bakery door jangled, pulling Adrien from his heavy thoughts, and he watched as the last customer exited the shop. She was alone now; this was his chance, ready or not. Adrien took a deep breath and stepped out from behind the streetlamp. His eyes darted quickly around the small empty space as the door swung shut, then back to the foggy windowpane- he could no longer see the dark blur. His heart dropped; she was gone.

“Well, well, well. Look what the cat dragged in,” a silky, mocking voice murmured in his right ear. Adrien straightened, heat flooding his cheeks. Caught.
