A Rewrite/novelization from "The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning" with a focus on character study and introspection along with world building and lore.

The first official chapter is here with Spyro and Sparx making their debut. It follows along pretty well with the start of the game, but there will be more AU divergence as the story progresses.

Again, even if you have never played a Spyro game before and know nothing about them, this should be easy to read with no prior knowledge needed.

Cynder's curse broken

I always interpreted Cynder as being literally mind-controlled by Malefor, that what Gaul did to her was making her into a vessel of sorts for him to use to break out of his prison. In this piece, her manacles and collar were anchoring the spell, and broke when Spyro freed her.
