Very proud of my older daughter for donating to families in need today. We used to require our girls to save 10% toward occasional donations (tithe) and they would pick a foundation/cause/whatever around Christmas, or give to an outreach project at church.

Nowadays we just encourage them now and then to think about what causes might be important to them and to donate freely. They haven't donated anything in a couple of year now probably and we don't push them except by example. We haven't said anything in several weeks and this morning she just comes up to me before school like "Mom I need your credit card for GoFundMe again."
