A while ago I made a theory on Project Edens Garden and with Chapter 1 coming up I thought I'd share some more thoughts as my original theories have shifted slightly.

This will include spoilers from the demo (specifically from WeebyNewz's video) so you have been warned.

I'm going to make a tier list of least to most likely to die characters in this post just to try and visualise how I feel at the moment with information we have. Keep in mind this almost definitely will not be accurate when Chapter 1 does release.

Like many others, I originally theorised that Cassidy would be the one to die in this chapter, but honestly it's so in-your-face that it seems like a red herring. Ingrid also gets a lot of screentime in that little segment at the start, but it's less obvious and while it's unlikely that either of then will die yet, it isn't something that can be ruled out at the moment. There's a strong possibility, but it may be a red herring.

I also want to rule out characters who have barely been given any attention (Desmond, Ulysses, Jett, Mark) as since they haven't had much time to shine, I doubt they'll be victims this chapter (blackened is a possibility, but none of them seem to have a motivation to kill currently).

I also want to rule out Diana and Toshiko, Diana because she seems to be being set up as a support to Damon, as she defends him and goes against Wolfgang and I think if she were to die it's more likely for her to die once the despair truly kicks in, as she knows that a murder is possible but doesn't seem to be motivated from what we see. Toshiko seems too plot relevant to die in the first chapter, plus I doubt anyone in the cast would stoop so low as to kill a child, if she is to die it would be late game and probably as a blackened.

Also I should've mentioned this at the start but I'm completely ruling out Damon and Wolfgang, again they're just too plot relevant and I doubt Damon will pull a Kaede, he's not stupid enough to risk it and Wolfgang is in complete denial, he wouldn't kill anyone at this stage, nor would he be an easy target.

In terms of characters I think might live but there's also a strong possibility of then dying are Kai, Eloise, Jean and Wenona. I have my reasons so just hear me out. Kai and Eloise are two charaxters with clear motive to get out as fast as possible (Kai with his career and Eloise with her mother) which makes them decent candidates for becoming blackeneds. I can honestly see Kai as a victim, since he's both an easy target and not many members of the cast like him. Wenona has her buisnesses but her rivalry with cassidy would be interesting if one were to kill the other, but she seems as if she has room for development and I can see her as a mid to late death. Jean also seems to be getting quite a bit of spotlight this chapter, ehich raises some death flags, especially since he and Tozu seem to be at odds as he discovered the secret area. I wouldn't be surprised if he were executed by Mara.

And now for the characters that I think are most likely to die. I think Eva and Grace are both very likely to die. I think Eva could become a blackened to use the groups distrust of her to make herself seem as if she were framed, then use that to pin the blame in someone else because its never the most likely suspect, is it? In the Bible, Eve is the first to fall to temptation, I think Tozu will make her an offer to act as motivation. Or, she could attempt murder and someone will kill her in self defense.

For Grace, there's an audio file in the trailer that includes a distorted version of her screaming "get me out of here" in the first trial, sounds suspiscious right? Grace has also already had a brush with death once in this game, she wants to get out as soon as possible. She's stressed and in a bad place, and she might do something drastic.

I personally think Kaede is this most overrated character in DR. By a mile. For a character who only appeared in one chapter, she made a big impact on both the “true” protagonist of V3 as well as the fandom

I actually liked her at first. But the more I played, the more she started to get on my nerves.

It was incredibly stupid if her to plan a murder against the mastermind when there was no evidence that there was even a mastermind in the first place and it was her fault Rantaro died, even though she didn’t directly kill him.

Hope you get my opinion on her

I understand what you mean, even if I don't share your opinion.

(SPOILERS FOR DRV3 BELOW, OF COURSE)

It's an entirely logical leap for Kaede to assume that someone(s?) HAD to be behind the animatronic bears insisting they murder each other, of course. And I honestly kinda (stupidly) admire how she was willing to throw her hat over the wall on the matter of violently attacking the mastermind. The real problem is that... yeah, you're not wrong about dumb her overall plan was. Given how much was still uncertain about where they were and what was going on, it seems like making the leap to "anyone who can open this room MUST BE the mastermind" is a bridge too far, y'know? Even the assumption that the mastermind has to be one of the 16 students present is a large leap! At least I can attribute these assumptions to A) Kaede's established characterization as someone who's really aggressively gung-ho about her own plans/goals, even when it's to the detriment of herself and others, plus B) Kaede's complete blind faith in Shuichi, who came up both those highly flawed hypotheses. Hormones make you do stupid things sometimes, eh?

On the matter of how you feel Rantaro's death is her fault, I'm not sure whether I can agree with that. Are you assuming that if Kaede had never set up her rolling-ball trap, Rantaro would've been allowed to explore the behind-the-scenes areas totally unimpeded? That feels unlikely to me. Perhaps there'd be a convenient way to prevent this from being an issue, like shutting off his access to the hidden door. But I think he'd probably retain his access only to become trapped/captured and then murdered by Tsumugi in a way that could be believably pinned on somebody in the cast, regardless of whether it was Kaede in the Library with the Shot-Put ball. Doing this would keep any behind-the-scenes areas that are not yet ready for exposure (at least not this early in the show) neatly under wraps. I also think Tsumugi would want to move fast to prevent last game's "winner" from getting very far a second time, given that he's A) clearly a threat, and B) killing him early will provide good shock value for her audience.

Ultimately, I've probably posted or reblogged enough posts over the years explaining all the ways/reasons I love Kaede as a character. I love her flaws and how distinct they are from the now-standard "I'm just a regular guy full of self-doubt and low self-esteem" issues of our numerous boy protags. And even without any point of comparison, I love me a character who's determined in the face of certain doom, extremely obvious about her crush, doesn't take any shit, and is very possibly autistic. I definitely still feel the protagonist-swap twist would've been far more effective if they'd put Shuichi in her role and flipped the script so that we take her over when he dies. If we started off as a boy struggling with his self-esteem and somehow wound up with gung-ho autistic heroine who charges in before she even thinks? That'd be a TOTAL inversion of my expectations.

Alright, here's part 2 of my anime convention post. Onto what I got.

First off, remember how I mentioned that the last con I went to in March didn't have food this time around? Well, this year, THEY FINALLY HAD A FOOD BOOTH! 🙌🙌🙌 Unfortunately, since I wanted to splurge on other stuff, I didn't get a lot of food like I did last time, just three items, but I figured it was good enough.

First, I got these little burger cookies that were made by the same company that made those chocolate strawberry cookies I got in 2022 that I thought looked really good, so I had to try them.

Next, I got this DIY candy kit after trying one in a snack crate three years ago and really liking it, and after seeing ones like these on Instagram. Looks good enough, haven't tried it yet, though.

Next, they had a bunch of Ramune flavors that looked so fucking good, but again, since I wanted to splurge on other stuff, I could only get one, so I got this Peach flavored Ramune that I think looked good. EDIT: I tried it on New Year's, it was so good.

Next, one of the panelists at the All-Americas panel handed out free USA-themed goodies whenever someone asked a question, and me and cousin Canada asked a few questions, so we got some cool stuff.

I know I'm gonna keep the necklace and the bracelet, no idea what I'm gonna do with the sunglasses though.

I also got to take a photo with two of my favorite maids at the maid cafe, but I can't show that here; I just couldn't remember if I said it already. But on the upside, in the art room, they had an anime bingo that I participated in a little, and I won a few stickers. I don't know where some of these characters are from, I just chose ones I really liked.

At the booth that was selling food, there were these cute little floaty keychains (I've wanted one so bad for a while now) that they were actually selling at the last con I went to but I couldn't get one cause I already got enough stuff at that con. Well this year, I absolutely had to get one, and I decided to get myself a simple one just to see how I like it.

At another booth they were selling these button signs that you stick on your backpack or corkboard or something, and I got me one too.

They had two that I really wanted- one that said 'they/them' one that was the Amazon logo but instead of Amazon it said 'waifu' and another one about bisexuality, but I couldn't get them cause I wanted to save my money for commissions.

At another booth that sold a bunch of pins, I bought me a Golden Girls Blanche pin (the only one they had).

And this Hellfire Club pin (despite me seeing only the first two seasons and then neglecting catching up after the first episode of the third season)

At another booth they had Danganronpa keychains so I got this double-sided Kaede Akamatsu keychain.

At another booth, I got this Bowsettw print.

At an artist's booth, I got a demigirl button.

At another booth I got this Bowsette sticker.

At another booth I got this cute asexual dog print keychain.

And this bisexual dog print keychain.

And at another booth towards the entrance of the vendor hall, they had a ton of Hetalia stuff. Some of it I already got or couldn't afford cause commission, but I still got some awesome stuff.

I got this Hetalia China keychain.

And this Hetalia England keychain.

And this Hetalia lanyard (I know I got two at the last con, but this one has Portugal, Slovakia, Czech Republic, and Luxembourg on it).

And now onto the commissions.

Surprisingly, I was able to afford five commissions this year, whereas I usually only get three, so yeah. Obviously I got to splurge a little bit.

First, I got this commission of me and my oc Martyn kissing, which I absolutely love.

Next I got this commission of me and Iceland from Hetalia in a sweet embrace. 🥰

Next, I got this adorable commission of me and the SFM model of Michael Afton from Five Nights At Freddy's. (I forgot what the pose is called 😫)

And, last but not least, I got this equally adorable commission of Romano from Hetalia and an irl friend of mine who likes him, from my favorite artist, whom I got the Canada x Katie commission from last year.

I also got me another commission of me and Michael, but I can't show it to you cause it's NSFW (my first one! 🙌)

Overall, despite the bumps, this was a very fun con- one of the best I've ever been to, and I'm so looking forward to 2024's.

Lets talks shit about dr character design! I’m your host, Clay, and these are todays subjects:

Today we have 2 really good ones and one VERY bad one. Kaede and Teruteru have some of my favorite character designs and Tenko has one of the most confusing ones. Lets analyze:

Teruteru:

-First of all, if i see any Teru hate I’m blocking you. Its fine if you dislike him but if you hate him but like Mui then just say you hate fat people and go

-Second of all: LOOK AT HIM!!!

-He is designed very well, you can tell excatly what his Ultimate is.

-And that what good character design does, it gives away some of the most important information about a character

-They also incorporated 2 different time periods

-Teruteru’s outfit is inspired by both modern and 1920’s chefwear. Its a nice reference to his almost Trans-Atlantic New Orleans-like accent. - i didn’t talk about color palette much in the last one but i must say, this is a great example of a good palette. It has a great ratio of dark-meduim-light and it doesn’t get muddied at all

-10/10 character design

Kaede:

-Much like teruteru, very decipherable character design

-i could show it to anyone and they would guess some type of classical musician

-fantastic color palette

-my only complaint is that the skirt is too dark to see the beautiful sheet music pattern

-the vest and the skirt should swap colors

-besides that i have no complaints, its literally one of my favorites

-8/10 character design

Tenko:

-where do i even begin

-lets start with the outfit

-what in the actual FUCK is she wearing

-its a weird two-piece sailor style playsuit with a double layer mini-circle skirt

-that would be a really cute ensemble for the Ultimate Sailor, but shes not even sailor adjacent. She does neo-aikido.

-How tf is she gonna do any aikido with flashing her undies to the victim as well as any onlookers?

-And wtf is that hair thing????

-Chicka needs a redesign asap, so heres the idea:

-first off, ditch the color palette, its shit

-its all midtones, so its really muddy

-This is a better color palette that is similar to the original, but has more contrast

-Aikido is usually done in a Hakama

-These can be any color (or as far as my research shows) so the bottom part can be the blue and the top can be the lighter mint green

-the socks and shoes can stay (they are proper aikido wear)

-Next she should fuckin trash the plant that seems to be growing out her head

-The silhouette can be mimicked by doing only two of those bow things instead of four

-the darker green color from the palette i picked will replace the original color. the flower pattern would be removed

-flower hair pins in the purple color and the burgundy color could replace the purple headband

-and a single braid going down is not only a hairdo we have yet to see on a dr girl, but it also would complete the look.

-this one is one of my least favorite (but i do like tenko)

-1/10 character design

2. Do you have a personal favourite among your OCs?

asjkdhsjakdhkj yes... i mean it changes but sparkles as a whole have been on my mind since 2017 so that's pretty cool for them. i've put the most thought into their story and development and it's very unlikely i will let go of them soon uwu

but rn i'm also obsessing over my fresh new kids - tour de force - they're another hypmic group but they're essentially juniors to lilac party :]

idk i talk/talked a lot about everyone with my bestie and like.. some bits were seen some other people but idk... i guess logically it would be my solo ocs or the ones that are kind of irrelevant/might get discarded in my brain soon

A Million Tiny Bright Lights in the Sky, my god au where each of the cast is a god related to a celestial body. Desuhiko and Yuma are the sun and the moon and are in a relationship. They often celebrate the eclipse together but have a feeling something is happening in Kanai Ward as the sun and moon has not seen the place in several months. They have a feeling the god of Pluto, Yomi Hellsmile, is behind it. Teen rated and completed!

Unearthed Scrolls, side stories of the god au. Random tales through the many years the gods have been alive. Will contain spoilers for the main au as well. Teen rated and on going.

Hallows and Howls, my Werewolf X Reaper au where Yuma is a cold unfeeling Reaper and Desuhiko is a werewolf who warms his way into Yuma’s heart. Through multiple encounters, Yuma starts to feel again and fall in love with the silly werewolf. Mature rated and on going.

Virtual Stardom, my Kokobolt Vtuber au where Desuhiko is a Vtuber and Yuma is his most supportive fan ‘One’. A story of how Desuhiko starts his career and to try and achieve his dream of being a superstar streamer! Teen rated and completed!

The Rainbow in Your Eyes, my Kokobolt soulmate/coffeeshop au where you can’t see colour except the colour your soulmates eyes are until you lock eyes for the first time. When you do your world explodes with colour. Yuma and Desuhiko are soulmates and meet when Yuma orders a drink from the coffee shop Yuma is working at. Teen rated and may possible have more parts.

College AU (TITLE TO BE DECIDED), my college au where Yuma comes to Nocturnal College to study criminology and is roommates with Desuhiko. A slow burn romance. Some Danganronpa characters will also cameo. Will be Mature rated and have yet to start, but I have a plan in place.

Danganronpa V3 AUs:

Hidden Soulmate, my soulmate au, which is a story about Shuichi trying to find his mysterious soulmate with the help of his roommates Kaede, Kaito and Maki while Kokichi is trying to test Shuichi to see if he is worthy! He also supports all his members of D.I.C.E as their leader and brother! Kokichi tries to not care about Shuichi but he slowly falls in love with him the more time he spends with him. Shuichi is also the dumbest person when it comes to love and his own feelings! Very fluffy and wholesome. Teen rated and completed!

The Highs and Lows of Being a Danganronpa Fan, which is my healthy and not abusive Pregame Oumasai au. My take on pregame and how Shuichi and Kokichi support and care for each other while also sharing a love for Danganronpa. Pure love and mutual respect as well as helping each other through their own traumas and issues. Very fluffy but lots of angst and some dark topics (especially with Kokichi’s family life). Teen rated and complete

Two Sides of the Same Cross, my monster/Rosario Vampire inspired au where Kokichi is a lone human at a school for monsters and befriends Shuichi who is a vampire that has a second personality. Kokichi has to try and survive high school while also falling for the vampire! Has more action scenes. Mature rated and complete

I Will Catch You, my Phantom Thief au in which Kokichi is a thief called Jester, leader of the crew know as D.I.C.E and Shuichi, a detective trying to catch him, however, Shuichi is actually the eleventh secret member of D.I.C.E and leads a double life! He puts away real criminals but helps his boyfriend steal from the poor and donate priceless artifacts back to museums. Just a few oneshots at the moment. Part one is the set up and part two is backstory. Might turn into more stories, don’t know yet. Both Teen rated

Apple of Temptation, my Demon au where knowledge snake demon Shuichi is tasked with tempting and requiring the soul of Kokichi! Kokichi is a human who is in his early twenties and trying to navigate his job and pay rent for his flat. Shuichi comes into his life and Kokichi appears to be one of the few people immune to his powers. The two don’t trust each other to begin with but start to form a bond after Shuichi saves Kokichi’s life. Mature rated and on going. Also has a RainCode side fic which takes place in the same universe.

To Guide You to the Light, my Reaper/Ghost au where Kokichi is a reaper and Shuichi is a Ghost that can’t move on due to not remembering how he died or what his unfinished business is. Currently a one shot that may become more if I have ideas. Teen rated

Little Leppy’s Big Cuddles, My Pokémon daycare au where Kokichi, Shuichi and D.I.C.E run a daycare and take care of both trainer and wild Pokémon. Leppy is a Caterpie that decides to follow Shuichi and become his friend, helping in the daycare and helping Shuichi however he can. Teen rated and complete

The Unconfident Sorcerer and the Lying Rogue, my D&D au which is just a one shot at the moment, I have lots of ideas for it but at the moment it does not have a full story. Is Teen rated but includes a breaking and entering scene (It’s D&D, what do you expect)

Birth of Delusion, my Akiba’s Beat au which is based off the video game of the same name in which Kokichi and Shuichi traverse dungeons called Delusionscapes and are stuck in a time loop! Teen rated and complete. There was going to be a full fic but it was too close to the actual game so has been abandoned for now.

South Park AUs:

Mystic Little Mountain Town, my Yokai/Japanese folklore au where every one of the South Park kids dies in mysterious ways and come back as different spirits that the others can’t see. They try to live in peace under the protection of Damien, but the threat of Leslie, the Kumo Yokai, hangs over them as she wishes to destroy them and take Damien’s power for herself. Mature rated and complete

The Hidden Power Within Me, my apocalypse au where Tweek and Craig get kidnapped and find themselves stuck in a government facility. Meanwhile, Clyde, Bebe, Token and Jimmy are stuck outside trying to survive the horrors of the new world where mutants now rule and the surviving humans are fighting and killing each other just to live. Will the two groups reunite? Mature rated and complete

(re)Watching Magia Record S1 - part 6

Hello everyone, welcome back! Today, we will be watching episode 6. Last time, some really weird (well, weirder than normal), pre-established rule breaking things happened to some of our girls. How come? Is Kaede going to be alright? Will Yachiyo fill Iroha in on what happened? We'll have to watch to find out.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story: Magia Record S1 episode 6

We open this episode with a, uhhh... alluring...? Witch show. A group of unknown magical girls is hunting this witch. Seeing the amount of familiars, the girls in front decide to revise their plan, but the girl called Felicia just barges right in, forcing her team to follow after her.

Seems this girl has a real beef with witches.

Hey, Tsuruno's now in the opening!

Rather than continuing the scene before the opening, we are now back to Iroha, who stayed over at Yachiyo's place after the events from the previous episode.

The two eat breakfast, and we learn that Yachiyo's place used to be a bording house. That explains why it's so big.

Iroha thanks Yachiyo for cleaning her Soul Gem, to which Yachiyo is like "?" for a moment before connecting the dots. As it stands, it seems like Iroha doesn't know what happened and Yachiyo's not telling her either. On the one hand, that seems like a bad idea, on the other, well, we saw Kaede's reaction.

Yachiyo changes subject to Iroha's plans for today.

Iroha's going to be investigating Kamihama some more, so Yachiyo advises her to keep being a magical girl a secret as best as she can, particularly if she's going east beyond Chuo Ward. Wonder why the direction matters.

...not really important, but I'm bothered I can't remember what this place is.

Iroha takes a walk around Sankyo Ward looking for Ui, finally arriving at a weeeird part of town.

Other than telling her not to walk around at night, maybe Yachiyo should've told her not to enter places that seem out of a horror movie. Also, maybe Iroha's just so used to witch Labyrinths this doesn't even register as bizarre to her anymore. (It's probably just Shaft being Shaft).

This... really is almost a Labyrinth, isn't it.

This couldn't get more suspicious if it tried. It might as well have someone screaming "scam!".

Iroha is offered a bottle and hesitates to accept until she sees

the kid berserker from before drinking it.

Still, I get Felicia, but did your parents not teach you not to accept things from strangers, Iroha?

But well, for the moment, the water itself seems to be fine, other than it being drugs. No way this'll blow up on their faces or anything.

In any case, Iroha goes back to her wandering. It seems she's in Kosho Ward right now.

Now, not only did Iroha accept things from strangers, she also did the one thing Yachiyo warned her about: she got outed as a magical girl.

Good thing the Soul Gem rings work as name tags too. It's written "Felicia".

Iroha's now being extorted by a 13 y.o.

Not that she's that much older, but still.

Thankfully(?) she's saved by a witch appearing.

This witch seems a bit like the one on the start of the episode. Felicia, of course, doesn't even need Iroha's help, she just wrecks everything with her big ol' hammer. Rather, it's more dangerous for Iroha herself to be there lol

Look at that cute smile.

Felicia goes right back to extorting... I mean, asking Iroha for payment. Iroha makes the fair point that she didn't ask for her help, but Felicia makes the even fairer point that a weakling like her would be dead if she hadn't, so Iroha finds herself with no choice but to pay up... in ice cream. Seems her allowance's running dry from coming to Kamihama every day.

The two go for some ice cream and start bonding. This girl is Felicia Mitsuki, and she makes a living as a mercenary who takes on jobs from other magical girls.

While Iroha's out doing ill-advised things and making new friends, Yachiyo's dropping by the Coordinator's and happens to overhear the team who had hired Felicia before, and...

Oh my god Mitama what have you done this time. This is blasphemy towards food, you know.

Alas, a wanted sign is kinda too much for a simple warning, don't you think?

Seems like Felicia's (un)famous for her berserker tendencies.

Yachiyo came here to hear some new information about the rumors, but first she has to deal with a new guest.

Ohhh talking about food, look who's here. It's Kyoko!

Apparently, Kyoko came here due to the decrease in witches in the surrounding regions. She expected she'd get into trouble hunting witches in another magical girl's territory, but Yachiyo says it's fine as long as she doesn't pick a fight with anybody. She's let down by how easy it was but says she'll just do whatever then. While she's at it, she also pokes at the same thing Mami said about someone gathering witches, but Yachiyo shoots her down right away. Did Kyoko hear something from Mami or did Kyuubei tell her this?

Back to Iroha and Felicia, the two are still on their lucky strike. Hey, seems the Lucky Owl Water wasn't a scam after all!

The two just keep on winning and winning (also who let kids into casino) and as expected Iroha's starting to get suspicious about their unnatural luck.

"I still got a dupe"

After winning amounts of money that would probably make broke college student Yachiyo jealous, the two go out to have lunch.

Felicia compliments Iroha's guts to enter the east like that, and Iroha takes the opportunity to ask her if she knows her sister. (not related but the way the table is set gives a great sense of the difference in age and tastes between these two. Iroha's a simple and responsible girl, so her food is only japanese cuisine and problably only as much as she can eat, while Felicia is a kid who probably never had this amount of money, so it looks like she just went ahead and ordered everything she wanted to eat.)

Felicia offers making an exclusive contract with Iroha, and Iroha asks why is Felicia even a mercenary at all. Felicia says if she doesn't work she can't eat, so Iroha asks where are her parents, to which Felicia responds, well...

They're dead. They were killed by a witch. That explains why Felicia's got a thing with witches.

As if she had guessed the uncomfortable atmosphere, Yachiyo calls. Iroha glances hesitatingly a moment at Felicia before answering. Seems Yachiyo has information about a new rumor.

...wait, isn't Lucky Owl Water the thing Felicia and Iroha drank just earlier? So it was a scam after all!

Perfect fashion sense there, Tsuruno.

Iroha and Felicia go meet up with Tsuruno and Yachiyo. Tsuruno knows who Felicia is, and Felicia knows who Yachiyo is, but has no idea about Tsuruno. While Tsuruno protests this, Yachiyo scolds Iroha for failing her one job, and warns her about Felicia's berserker tendencies.

Yachiyo confirms that Iroha has drank the Lucky Owl Water, and tells her the contents of the rumor about it. So basically, once you drink it, 24 lucky things will happen to you and after these 24 things are over a barrage of bad luck will follow. Yachiyo doesn't know what that "bad luck" actually entails, but she has found that even magical girls have gone missing this time.

Felicia thinks all this is a bunch of nonsense so Yachiyo tells her to just go away then. Felicia does just that, but kind-hearted Iroha stops her from going away by hiring her.

Felicia names her prices and Iroha's about to pay, but Yachiyo tells her to make it something besides money, so Iroha offers making Felicia dinner instead.

Look at her, Felicia really is a nice kid. Not only did she half her price instead of doubling it if it's not a witch, she's totally fine with being paid in food. I mean, there is the fact that she needs to work to eat but... she's not cut out for running a mercenary business.

Still, for the moment, Felicia's not part of the team.

Iroha and co. go back to where Iroha drank the Lucky Owl Water and, although everyone's still blissfully unaware of how bizarre this place is, it seems they now can see the familiars(?) as familiars. Is it that thing? The one where you can only perceive what you are looking for?

Felicia picks a fight with the... uh... Thing, please give us a name anime, and it disappears. Yachiyo chides Felicia for jumping the gun, and the two start fighting.

*Kaos noises*

Tsuruno appropriately cuts in, and Yachiyo theorizes that, just like the previous times, they'll have to find and beat the rumor's true form in order to undo it. Preferably before Iroha and Felicia's luck runs out.

Aaand Kyoko was listening in on them.

Iroha and co. start investigating the rumor. Seems the storyteller from the scenes explaining the contents of the rumors aren't just for show, they actually exist, though the girls hearing the rumor from it don't seem to notice it's not human.

Oh, there. That'd explain why Iroha and Felicia didn't notice the Owl Water the first time... still doesn't excuse them from accepting things from strangers though, lol

...look at Yachiyo's cool composure as she pins down poor Felicia. Brutal.

The girls chase after the storyteller familiar. Now peeps, if you've been paying close attention, you'll notice this episode has been counting down Iroha's and Felicia's luck ever since they drank the Lucky Owl Water. Neat, right? I won't post all of them since 24 is a lot, but did you guys catch it?

Anyways,

while chasing down the familiar, the girls are surrounded by a group of weirdos in hoods. Managing to string together a sentence with their impeccable coordination, they tell our girls they are obstructing the Magius's plans, whoever that is, by chasing the Rumor. It's just for a moment, but the screen flashes that one paper slip that's slapped everywhere there's rumors involved. I'm also pretty sure there's one inside Yachiyo's notebook too.

The group continues their speech and Yachiyo conveniently translates for us: they're saying they'll give them the water everyday, as long as they keep away from the Rumor.

Tsuruno protests that there are magical girls who got caught up in this rumor, but the group continue with their talk of Magius and telling them not to interfere.

I really like the panning in this one shot. You clearly get a sense of how while the older girls, Yachiyo and Tsuruno, know something's up and are willing to bonk the weirdos, Iroha and Felicia are in doubt about what these girls are saying. Their mind spaces are so different separating them just with the shadows wasn't enough: they had to be in different frames altogether.

...I don't think the person who decided on this thought that far, but still.

Anyway, Felicia bites their bait and asks about the "all witches will disappear" part. The weirdos, who know about Felicia, say they'll hire her. The reward? The elimination of all witches.

Too bad Iroha, seems your handmade dinner wasn't an appetizing enough reward.

So! Felicia decided to go with these weirdos, the Wings of the Magius, who say they know a way to get rid of all witches. Well... that'd better be a more efficient method than the one Suzune thought, or else they're not getting anywhere.

Going by what they said, these girls have something to do with the rumors... or rather, Rumors, because that's not confusing at all. They also said something about salvation, so they probably have something to do with the rampant dream-ads that the magical girls outside Kamihama are having. How rude. I wonder how much would you have to pay for one of those?

Jokes aside, with this, we finally have a new lead on the weird things going on in Kamihama. And not only us, either. Kyoko also learnt something about the Rumors. Which brings up the question: where is Mami? She should be investigating Kamihama, but she hasn't shown up since she tried to shoot Iroha. Weird.

Well, the only way to answer the obscene amount of questions this show likes to bring up is by watching, but before I finish this up I'd like to write down the numbers on this episode:

24-23: Felicia's ice cream's package; 23-22: raffle ticket; 22-21: raffle drawing; 21-20: falling coins; 20-19: slot machine's label; 19-18: bet nº; 18-17: fever!; 17-16: Magireco's game currency (lol); 16-15: the table's number; 15-14: the paper one of the familiars is holding; 14-13: formed by the light on the ground.

Nothing lucky happens after that one, so I think these are the ones in this episode. I feel this was the first time in all my rewatches I caught the one on Felicia's ice cream and the one the familiar was holding, so maybe I got some of that luck too, haha.

Hell-O~ Finally thought of a cute request! Korekiyo, Miu, Kaede, Shuichi, and Angie with a s/o who usually hides behind their hair. One day, they decide to pin it back and show their face openly. What reaction would they get from this?

I am happy to announce that I am very much alive and I am right now posting an imagine. If you’re still here to read this anon, thank you for requesting and sorry for the delay. Me and the other mods will do our best to answer the remaining requests.

Korekiyo Shinguji

-He could not believe his eyes as he gazed upon the true beauty of this world.

-Smiles and chatter surrounded s/o; everyone was in awe at the sudden change, yet he just couldn’t make himself move towards such radiance. He didn’t have the audacity.

-Before he knew it, the noise ceased and he found himself face to face with his muse.

-“ah… Korekiyo, w-what do you think?”

-He didn’t speak straight away and s/o could feel a bit of sweat start to form.

-“Don’t take my silence the wrong way. I am merely basking in your delightful presence;if it’s alright with you, may I touch your cheeks?”

-s/o chuckled, relieved that their love was the same as always.

Miu Iruma

-“EEEEEEEEEEEEKKKK!!!”

-That wasn’t what s/o expected when they entered her lab. “I just wanted to check up on you…”

-“This time with both eyes, huh…” s/o unfortunately missed her slight blush. “Eitherway! Make your damn ass useful if you wanna hang around here for free!”

-They sighed, knowing that’s how it always went; yet was it really so bad to wish fora different reaction? Miu started mumbling to herself, but s/o decided toignore it. Little did they know…

-“Um, you know, you look,,,, VERY CUTE! KYAAAAAAAA!!!” and then she ran out of the lab, just to avoid s/o looking at her tomato face. They had a blush of their own as well, barely believing they could cause such a reaction.

-“Wait, come back! We’re supposed to hang out!!”

Kaede Akamatsu

-“s/o, you actually listened to my advice! You look so pretty!!”

-They smiled nervously at the comment, attempting to hide their face, but Kaedewouldn’t have it. She grabbed their hands and squeezed.

-“C’mon, s/o; be more confident! Trust me, you look prettier than before.”

-“Are you really sure…?”

-“You know, this reminds me of a certain song… If I play it for you, will you believe me then?”

-Kaede’s piano skills left s/o amazed once again and as if they weren’t convinced enough, she kissed them on the cheek.

-“If you keep your hair like this, I’ll be able to kiss this cheek too~.”

Shuichi Saihara

-Of course he would blush and try to cover it, who could really blame him? His cutes/o decided to become even cuter; he wasn’t very sure if he could handle it.

-“s/o you look… really beautiful.”

-“T-thank you…”

-Afterwards, they sat in slightly awkward silence waiting for the other to make a move. Shuichi couldn’t stop thinking about the sudden change of s/o and whether he should say more about it, while s/o wasn’t too confident about their decision.

-“Say, how about we get some ice cream to celebrate your new look…?” s/o’s eyes lighted up.

Angie Yonaga

-“Oooh, what do we have here! Atua’s telling me I should praise this wonderful face! Nyahaha!”

-s/o avoided her gaze bashfully while Angie beamed and complimented them.

-“It was about time you know~? You should be proud with your whole face, not just half of it. That way, Atua’s enemies will tremble before you! I’ll make sure ofit~.”

-They nodded, even if they weren’t fully agreeing with what she said; but there was still some truth to her words and s/o wanted to be proud as well.

-“I say you deserve a special reward for this~~”

Talentswap Au Pologue: Part 3

This isn’t getting much attention, but I’m still working on it! I really hope more people see this soon, I’m working hard on it and it’s a real passion of mine. Also sorry for any spelling/grammar mistakes, I didn’t read this over before posting this, I wanted to get it out quickly.

Kaede looks at the list in her hands, and goes through it quickly, not dwelling too long on anyone in particular. Each person got pointed to as she went through the list, allowing Kaito a few seconds to try and memorize and match names to appearances.

Kirumi Tojo, Ultimate Martial Artist- Light green long hair tied up with a ribbon, wearing a short button up and tie with a few colored bandaids on her arms.

Himiko Yumeno, Ultimate Pop Sensation- Short bob of red hair, wearing a frilly light red and pink dress with several bracelets on her arms and pins in her hair. The one currently putting the colored band-aids on Kirumi’s arms.

Angie Yonaga, Ultimate Clairvoyant - White hair cut straight and short, wearing a purple cloak, several piercings, scattered tattoos on her exposed skin of her arms, legs, and stomach. Currently talking to Rantaro.

Rantaro Amami, Ultimate Gambler- Short green hair, wearing a vest and bowtie, sleeve of tattoos. Currently listening to Angie ramble.

Gonta Gokuhara, Ultimate Moral Compass- Long green hair in a loose ponytail, very muscular, wearing a school uniform. Trying to get Ryoma to stop smoking

Ryoma Hoshi, Ultimate Biker Gang Leader- Very short, wearing a beanie and leather jacket, carries a pack of cigarettes. Currently smoking and being worried over by Gonta.

Tsumugi Shirogane, Ultimate Swimming Pro- Long blue hair in a high ponytail, wearing a baggy jacket and athletic shorts. Currently talking to Tenko.

Tenko Chabashira, Ultimate Softball Player- Dark green hair in a braid, wearing a star covered ballcap and a jean jacket with pins on it over a t-shirt and pants with holes in them. Currently talking to Tsumugi.

Kiibo Iidabashi, Ultimate Programmer- White hair, wearing a green and grey hoodie and headphones. Currently standing away from the others with his headphones on.

Korekiyo Shinguji, Ultimate Writing Prodigy- Long straight blue hair, round glasses, a small black mask over his mouth, wearing a sweater and jeans. Currently standing next to Kiibo, also away from the main group.

After going through the names, Kaede looks at him with a small smile.

“Got it alright?” She asks, still holding the list. Despite not fully memorizing the people, names, and talents in such a small window of time, he nods.

“Yup.” He’s lying, but she doesn’t seem to catch on, simply folding the paper and putting it back into her pocket.

Kaito lets his eyes wander, gazing over the grouped up people. For the situation they were all in, they seemed surprisingly put together. At least no one was freaking out, so that’s a good sign. They were all ultimates though, so that is to be expected.

He cleared his throat, turning to Kaede.

“So, what now? None of us know how we got here, the windows are closed off, I’m assuming there’s no exit. And there’s no teachers, from what I’ve seen.” He questioned, almost into thin air as Kaede had no answers for him.

Thankfully, there was someone who could answer his question for him. As soon as he asked the question, an annoyingly high pitched voice called out.

“Ahem! Ahem! Mic check, one two! This is a test of the school broadcast system!

It rang out throughout the room, followed by a loud chime.

Ding dong, bing bong

Everyone turned their heads to the noise, and saw a monitor at the front of the room spark to life. Through static, a small, bear shaped silhouette could be seen.

“Am I on? Can everyone hear me? Okay, well then, to all incoming students, I would like to begin the entrance ceremony! We’ll be starting at about… right now! Please make your way to the gym at your earliest convenience. That’s all! I’ll be waiting~”

After the sing-songy voice cut off, everyone stood silent for a few moments.

What the hell?

“What the hell?!” Someone shouted out, speaking what everyone was thinking. Kaito turned to the voice, seeing Miu still staring at the monitor, her face one of confused shock. At her comment, everyone else looked around nervously, unsure what to do,

“Hey now, let’s just stay calm. This is probably just to get us excited for the entrance ceremony, that’s all.” The green haired guy in the vest and bowtie stepped forward, a calm smile on his face. Rantaro, Kaito reminded himself.

“A-Are you sure? This all seems too strange to be normal for a school, but I don’t know.” The kid with the headphones replied nervously, his headphones now dangling at the sides of his neck.

“I’m sure we’ll be okay Kiibo, I mean, we’re all okay now, right?” Himiko smiles at the taller student, who looked away, avoiding eye contact, and instead stared at the ground.

“Yeah, alright.” Kiibo nods, and Himiko grabs his hand in a comforting gesture.

As soon as she does that, there’s a scoff from the front of the entrance hall. Facing the noise, Kaito notices it’s the purple haired kid from earlier, looking at the scene with a small sneer.

Without saying a word, he turns around and walks out of the room, heading down the hall and towards the gymnasium, leaving everyone else behind.

Tenko and Tsumugi exchanged looks.

“What’s his deal?” The girl haired girl commented, snarky and obviously not a fan of his attitude.

“I’m not sure, but he does seem to have the right idea. If the entrance ceremony is starting, wouldn’t it be a good idea to head to the gym?” Tsumugi adds, talking to no one in particular. The others look around, before unanimously deciding that heading to the gym would be the best idea at the moment.

The group of 15 split into smaller groups as they walked down the halls, similar to the groups in the entrance hall. Maki and Shuichi, Tsumugi and Korekiyo, Gonta and Kirumi, Angie, Ryoma, and Rantaro, Tenko, Himiko, and Kiibo, and Kaito, Miu, and Kaede. Together they headed to the gym, the purple haired kid already there waiting for them.

Next to Kaito, he heard Kaede speak up to both him and Miu.

“Don’t you think it’s odd we didn’t see any other students on our way here?”

Now that he thought about it, yeah that did seem pretty weird. Judging by the look on Miu’s face, she thought so too.

“Hey, you’re right. Where the hell is everyone?” Miu shouts out, a little louder than necessary.

The response she got was similar to Kaito’s in the Entrance Hall, replied to by the same high pitched voice.

“Hey there, howdy, hello! Is everyone here?”

Without waiting for anyone to answer, they continued.

“Good! Then, let’s get things rolling!”

As soon as those words were spoken, a small, animatronic teddy bear popped out from behind the podium on the stage, its body split into a half of black and a half of white. No one dared to move or speak for a few seconds, trying to take it in.

“Is that… a stuffed bear?” Korekiyo asked out loud, voice quiet and full of disbelief.

“I am not a stuffed bear!” The bear cried out, angry at that notion.

“I am Monokuma! This school’s headmaster.”

Just when I thought this day couldn’t get any weirder.

The bear stepped down from the podium and walked closer to the students, and the knot of anxiety that’d slowly been accumulating in Kaito’s stomach turned to outright dread as he realized how absolutely screwed they were. This was definitely not a normal school, much too weird for Hope’s Peak, and certainly not a school that made the tiniest bit of sense.

“Nice to meet you all!”

After Monokuma finished his introduction, everyone stood still and quiet, just staring at the bear.

“Um, is anyone else seeing and hearing the same thing? I’m not hallucinating this?” Tsumugi asked, looking at the other for confirmation.

“I am not a stuffed bear!! How many times do I have to tell you!” He yelled out angrily, jumping out at her and causing her to flinch back.

“Eeeeek! Get away from me!!” She yelled, putting her hands in front of her face. Quickly, Tenko, who’d been standing next to Tsumugi, jumped in front of her, hands out wide.

“Back up little dude.” The green-haired girl hissed out, glaring at the bear.

“Stop it, both of you!! It’s not like it can do anything to you, even if it can… walk and talk, for some reason.” Kaede tried to reason, not wanting people to get worked up for no reason.

“No no, little miss jumpy over here has the right idea. I could kill you if I wanted!” The bear chuckled, causing a few people to exchange looks.

“Well, anyway, do you happen to know why we’re here, mister...Monokuma?” Gonta speaks up, ignoring the potential death threat in favor of getting some answers.

“Ah, yes! Of course, that is why I brought you all here!” Monokuma exclaims, and a few students relaxed a bit at the notion that their questions would soon be addressed.

Kaito wasn’t one of those. He wasn’t sure why, but he just felt…off. Something wasn't right here, but he couldn’t quite put his finger on it.

Monokuma cleared his throat(?).

“Now, continuing with the entrance ceremony! First, we should address what your school life will be like here! Yes, this should be the first thing to talk about since you’ll be living the rest of your lives out here.”

He said it so calmly, yet Kaito felt his heart stop. Looking around at everyone else, they seem to have heard it too, all wearing similar expressions

“Yes yes, you students are the hope of this world! You will all spend the rest of your life designated only to the grounds of this school, protected from the outside world!”

“H-Huh? That’s not… you’re not serious are you?” Kaito spoke, now hoping that this was all an extremely elaborate prank like he’d thought in the beginning.

“I am one hundred percent serious, my little luckster! But do not worry, we have quite the budget, so your life here will be quite comfortable! You will be more than accommodated for here at the academy.”

“Wait, so we’re stuck here? With no way out?!” Tenko shouts, her eyes wide with fear.

“Yup! You’re all completely cut off from the outside world! You can call for help all you want, but you’re stuck within these walls for the rest of your life!”

The room was silent, everyone quietly panicking at the news that they’re stuck in here forever. What about their f”milies? Their friends on the outside? Their lives on the outside?

“Aww, why do you all look so glum! You all came here of your own free will, didn’t you?”

Well, he isn’t entirely wrong.

“I guess you’ll all be happy to hear, there is something I forgot to mention. There is one way out, and only one.”

Everyone perked their heads up at that, some skeptic, others willing to listen.

“I’ve created a special rule, allowing those who wish to leave the ability to do so! With some conditions of course.”

“Spit it out already, we’re tired of waiting.” Ryoma grumbled, looking heavily annoyed at all this stalling and back and forths.

“Hold your horses, I’m getting to that!” The bear shouted, angry.

“Now then, what I was trying to say is that this school has what is called a Graduation Clause. The lifestyle you all will have here is one of order, but should someone interrupt said order, they and they alone would be allowed to leave.”

Kaito quirked an eyebrow.

“Interrupt the order? What does that mean?”

“Ah, curious one, aren’t you. What I mean by that is, in order to leave, someone needs to commit a crime most unspeakable, one that would truly disrupt the natural order. Murder, to be more specific.”

At that, everyone’s face paled a good few shades.

“Asphyxiation, blood loss, snapping of the neck, cutting off all blood flow to the brain, get creative! It doesn’t matter the process, all that matters is someone’s heart stops beating! That is the only way to escape this school.”

Katio could feel his breath picking up, panic becoming the leading emotion in his head. Kill someone to leave? That’s insane!! He was losing his grip, heart beating out of his chest and his hands gripping the sleeves of the others absurdly tight. A hand dropped to his soldier, surprisingly calm. He looked up and saw the Ultimate Affluent Progeny, lips in a taut line as she stared at the black and white bear.

“What makes you think we’ll just go along with this? Do you forget we’re children? The chances of us getting the nerve to kill someone is absolutely absurd, and this is considering you’re telling the truth. Chances are, this is some trick, a prank of some sort. Why someone would go through this much trouble to prank us, I don’t know, but there is no way you would be allowed to do this, considering some of our home lives.” Kaede spoke with such confidence and authority, the kind Kaito likes to pretend to have but could never amount to. A kind of confidence bread by experience, one she could only get in the kind of life she lives.

The bear quirked his little head.

“You all keep acting like this isn’t real. What is it gonna take to convince you that you’re stuck here forever? Because this isn’t a joke you know.”

As soon as Monokuma finished his sentence, there was a short rustling sound, a blur of motion, and suddenly, Monokuma was being held in the air. Holding him up in a death grip was the short purple haired kid, an ice glare on his face.

“I don’t know what your game is, or what psycho decided it would be a fun idea to mess with us. Whatever your reason, I’m not a fan, so I’m giving you about ten seconds to cut this shit out before I destroy your little toy.”

“A-Ah! This is certainly unexpected!”

“10.”

“Hold on now! You have no idea what I’m capable of little boy-” The grip on the bear’s face tightened.

“9.”

“You don’t want to do this, trust me.”

“8.”

“Alright, if this is what you want!”

“8.” An autonomous voice joined in with the smaller boy’s counting.

“7.”

“Hey, m-maybe you should put it down.” Himiko stepped forward towards the boy and the robot.

“Stay out of this!” The boy snapped, causing Himiko to yank her hand back.

“6.”

“She has a point, I feel like you should let go of the-” Kirumi tried to reason, but was interrupted.

“5.”

There were some metal clanging noises.

“What the hell is that?” Kaito shouted out.

“4.”

“Seriously man, put the damn thing down!” Ryoma shouted, but he was ignored as well.”

“3.”

“2.”

The metal clanging got louder, and Kaito moved before he could think, his panic fueled adrenaline making him do something he normally wouldn’t.

“1.”

As soon as he spoke the last number, Kaito pushed the bear out of his hands, stopping him from destroying it. The boy turned to the much taller one, the icy glare now directed to him.

“What the he-!” He was cut off as metal spikes sprung out of the belly of Monokuma, shooting straight up and out to the spot the kid previously stood, and still would have if he had still been holding the bear. The spikes pierced through the air, ripping through the fabric on the short kid’s shirt sleeve and the side of Kaito’s sweater, cutting through the skin with the tips of the metal. Both let out a surprised cry of pain, and Monokuma dropped on the floor with a small CLANG.

Kaito gripped his side with his opposite hand, a pained grimace on his face as he stared at the bear. He heard a few startled cries from behind him, and soon felt a pair of hands on his shoulders. Turning around, his face met a worried Miu’s, with Kaede soon behind him.

“Holy shit, you alright dude?”

Breathing heavily, Kaito nodded.

“Yeah...yeah I’m okay.”

No one had time to move much before the metal spikes returned to the belly of the robot, sinking back in and being covered up as though they weren’t even there in the first place. Monokuma sprung up with a hearty chuckle.

“Looks like you got saved before I could skewer you! Well, at least now you know that I am serious about this! If that nosy kid hadn’t saved your ass, you’d be good as a shish-kebab!”

He laughed again.

“Now, it’s important to know that violence against the headmaster is strictly against the rules! I’ll let you off with a warning this time, but anyone else who disobeys the rules won’t be let off that easily.”

Everyone was silent, the gravity of the situation finally dawning on those who’d been skeptical before.

“I’m not unfair though! I’ll be giving you all fully digital e-Handbooks so that you know the rules of the school and what not to do! Remember, there are surveillance cameras all over the school, so don’t even think about getting away with anything naughty.”

Dread settled over the entire gym, everyone staring down at the handbooks being held to them as Monokuma went down the line. Once all were handed out, Monokuma straightened out.

“Well then, that’s the end of the entrance ceremony! I hope you all have a wonderfully depressing school life here at the school, and I look forward to what kind of murders you decide to come up with!”

He gave us a small wave, his unnerving half-smile still plastering on his face.

“See ya!”

And like that, he was gone, leaving us all to our own devices.

“Well, shit.”
