Adopting a baby saurian
It wasn't anything out of the norm for a baby saurians to be seen alone in the wild. Yes, it was sad but what could anyone do? The mother of the saurians were either killed or had abondoned the poor thing because it was too weak.
So it wasn't a surprise when you and kinich stumbled on a baby Iktomisaur in the wild while exploring. The poor thing looked confused and slightly scared as it looked around for it's mother. It's ears dropping everytime it turned and she wasn't there. It broke your heart while kinich couldn't help but sigh..for some reason he understood how it felt.
Before he could act tho, you were already off to where the baby Iktomisaur sat. As you reached over, it looked up at you in slight fear, letting out a small hiss to try and sound intimidating but it only broke your heart even more. You moved down onto your leg, making sure to keep a certain distance as you held out a small apple you had in your hand. The poor thing couldn't help but perk up staring at the apple in slight hunger. Seeing that it mom wasn't there to guide and feed it, it was no surprise it was probably starving. After a few minutes, it finally walked over to you in hesitant steps. It's ears twitching in high alert in case it needs to run.
After stopping infront of your hand that held the apple, seeing you didn't try anything. It took a small hesitant bite out of the apple, before quickly eating more. Your hand held the apple out more as it ate quickly. Kinich couldn't help but watch the interaction, his heart breaking yet feeling slightly warm that you had help it. Ajaw tho, he looked blankly before sighing. "Are we really gonna stand here feeding some stray thing? The almighty-" kinch wasn't having any of it, putting Ajaw in time out before he could scare the baby saurian with his loud voice.
After some time, the baby saurian seemed to finally warm up to you. Cuddling up into to your arms almost as if seeking warmth. Seems like the baby saurian was now seeing you as it's parent. Kinich sighed and before you could even turn to ask he replied quickly, which was quite unusual of him. "The saurian seems to have take a liking to you..maybe we should bring it home? It would probably die in the wild without it's mother." It wasn't unusual for people to take in saurians, it was natlan after all.
So after some talking, you had lifted the baby Iktomisaur in your arms walking home with it. Kinich had proposed saying that it may had been too heavy for you to carry, but seeing how the poor thing didn't want to let go off your shirt. He let it be as you both headed back home.
It had been two weeks since you had taken in the baby Iktomisaur and it had now warmed up to you both. It was still quite wary of Ajaw tho, but who could blame her. Yes, you both had found out from a saurian trainer in the Scions of the Canopy, that the baby saurian you both had decided to adopt was a female. You had decided to name her Bubbles and the baby saurian had seemed to be quite happy with it. Her ears flickering excitedly as her small tail wagged. Kinich found it cute how you had started taking care of the baby saurian like it was your own already and he couldn't help but think of what the future held for both of you..maybe one day, you two could start a family together. When all the troubles in Natlan had settled down.
Side note~
Ajaw couldn't help but scoff at the name that you had given to the baby Iktomisaur. "Are you serious right now? What a childish name...something like the Almighty Ajaws servant or Ajaws loyal servant would have-" Kinich couldn't help but scoff putting Ajaw in time out with a small huff of annoyance. The baby Saurian was sitting beside him on the couch as the two were now waiting for you both to return home from a commission. Ajaw had commented on how there was not now one needy person to take care of but now a baby saurian that didn't hesitate to wait near the door for your arrival.
As the front door open signaling you had arrived. The baby saurian bubbles practically jumped off the couch. Flying towards the front door as you soon entered. Carring a small basket of fruit. You quickly placed it down just in time to catch Bubbles that seemed to let out happy chirps and Purs at your arrival. Kinich had a unusual smile on his face as he walked over his words being. "Welcome back home..How was your day?"

I have this strong feeling that theo would be very happy to live in one of my oc's nations. (Hes a minotaur prince of a country that religiously collects any and ALL forms of knowledge cause they believe knowledge no matter what about or how you got it, is not evil also they do necromancy) Unless theo likes to lie in which case just dont do it infront of the crown prince and he'll be golden. The prince tends to skin people alive for lying to him u.u
Theo's a man of ethics, you know. He's taken a Hypocritic Oath.
Alas, I worry Theo might not be as at home in such a nation as one might think, despite his, erm, hobbies.
His studies into necromancy/blood magic are done out of a sense of filial duty, and as a rather fussy man with a prudish personality, he finds the hands-on application of it quite revolting and something to be endured rather than enjoyed. Additionally, Theo may be a nerd who loves books and dark magic and books about dark magic, but he is also a proud scion and adherent of an archaic aristocratic line. As such, he comes packaged with some rather staid, traditionalist values and the belief that most people are inherently his lesser. His few social experiences haven't dissuaded him from the opinion that the vast majority of people are some combination of brutish, stupid, and dissolute.
All that to say - he believes that he himself has the proper motivations, intellect and capacity for self-control (ha) to practice responsible crimes against nature, but would he say the same of wide swathes of society? Certainly not! A kingdom wherein necromancy is widespread and celebrated would naturally have too many lowly people who should never practice such a gruesome, potent art doing so, and that means the kingdom itself must be corrupt.
He would view the collection of dubiously-attained knowledge similarly. He would certainly like to partake in such knowledge, because he is a noble man of good breeding and fine manners who can understand and apply such knowledge with a gentleman's delicate touch. As a curiosity, and out of an appreciation for historical artifacts, he would like ancient tomes of evil work preserved, but not accessible to the unwashed masses who would sully them or use them for ill. Better to remain in a private library, read only by those who engage in appropriate self-flagellation after. Who decides what to preserve and which people should get access to it? Well, himself, of course! He wouldn't trust any other curator's judgment. Another strike, in his view, against a kingdom with a laissez-faire approach to science.
Also, while he values (often brutal) honesty and is certainly not a consummate confabulator of the caliber of Hyden or Ambroys, Theo will use deception to achieve his own ends. Just... not often very well. He's not exactly rocking a Charisma build. He also tends to chafe against male authority figures, especially if they threaten any consequences of his actions. It might end badly for him on the "skinning alive" front.
Anyway - I wouldn't stamp Theo's visa to the minotaur prince's kingdom, for everyone's sake. Best case scenario, he rudely complains about everyone there being debased reprobates the whole time and everyone is extremely uncomfortable. Worst case scenario, I've got one dead rat-sans-pelt and the city's libraries have been ransacked by a man who feels like common people are too dumb and immoral to read medical textbooks and the Kama Sutra alike.
#asks#theo#amaranthine#my draws#sorry he is VERY difficult to get along with#he's got the personality of a tube of mentos balanced above a bottle of coke on the head of a pin#any slight breeze will cause a catastrophic meltdown - or at least a big mess#also “hypocritical” is my favorite trait to give a character so that doesn't help

So its no secret my main OC Tav Nare' has been tricked by the fae prince of eternal winter to become his Scion because she was young and stupid and wanted to get back her magic that her parents forcibly cut off from her
But she never actually tells anyone what happened (the entire story is in her charachter page) and how sever the entire pact was and how she was practically kidnapped and forced to want to sign her freedom away in order to stay alive
I keep thinking about this my girl had this happen when she was 20 ish and now she is almost 35 and has never told a single soul of her trauma
So i imagine after the events of BG3 when shes travling and adventuring with her husband Gale doing everything in her power to supress her forced pact so it won't come out infront of him she finally gives in and Gale witnesses her getting berated and Controlled by this fae prince trying to break her with his words because she stopped doing his work for him and started living her life with Gale
And afterwards she is absolutely embarrassed snd devastated she didn't want him to witness this, her biggest flaw and failure and she was scared he would leave her and cut ties with her like her family did once they knew
But to her surprise Gale ofc is as gentle as ever and understanding as ever comforts her and stays by her side as she cried for hours while she tells him everything how this fae prince tricked her for years then kidnapped her to his realm and controled her body for days on end forcing her to stay still frozen in the snow while he talked and talked and chipped away at her sanity untill she couldn't take it anymore and gave in to his "request" and how she couldn't do anything as he marked her skin and poured his power and control into her
Finally she looks up expecting Gale to be disgusted by her for her mistake but she found him calm with a glint of determination in his eye
"we will get you out of this, you don't have to carry this alone anymore, im here with you and for you my love" he says as sweetly as he can and he means it, with his whole heart
because he said those words knowing he got away from Mystra, from the brain worm, from the absolute, from the orb in his chest, knowing that he has seen it happen before, all their friends got away from their own pacts and binding destiny, and this time its no different, he will see his love free and away form all that dares to hurt her.
And Nare' can hear it in his voice too for the first time in her life her limbs fill with the hope that she can be free again, free to stand on the rooftops of her city and play her flute again, free to live and love Gale without that sickening snicker at the back of her head laughing at her attempts of normalcy and defiance
Gale and Nare' set their sights on this goal vowing to settle down after they fix this in waterdeep where Nare' can go on to be a beloved bard and Gale's newest student of magic

Tried to do yesterdays, but I got too busy to finish my idea :( BUT I'm back! Just in time to do a prompt I've had my eye on ;D
FFXIV Write Day 15- Make Up Day!
I'll be snagging Day 3- Halcyon
Literally no connection to MSQ or real mention of it spoiler wise, but I imagine this being somewhere in early or late Stormblood probably. All that matters is that the WoL has known Alphinaud for A While.
Halcyon: Characterized by happiness, great success, and prosperity; often used to describe an idyllic time in the past that is remembered as better than today
---
The stage lights were bright, but not as bright as the smiles she saw in the audience.
Cattalia held her lute like she'd been born with it, playing the strings with ease as her gaze flitted between the half visible faces beyond the glare of the lights. Her voice floated above it all, the crowning jewel in her soft, but impactful performance.
As muscle memory took over, her mind was free to focus on the finer details of her playing, adding flares to her strumming or extra notes to her vocal runs, and the experience was just as satisfying to execute as she imagined it was to watch. She was warm under the lights, but hardly ever uncomfortable with the attention; she knew her skill spoke for itself. She put her heart and soul into the climax of the music, and-
Knock knock.
Cattalia's eyes snapped open, mouth squeezing shut as she spun around to face her door.
Right. That wasn't who she was anymore.
With a quiet sigh, she set her lute on her bed, and prayed that whoever was at the door hadn't heard her. It'd been ages since she'd actually had time to practice. Stepping to her free company room door, she tugged it open and braced for the worst.
"Cattalia- err- my apologies, I can come back later if now isn't a good time." Alphinaud stood in the hallway, arms already crossed with a guilty crease in his brow. "I would've sworn that was from the orchestrion..." He muttered to himself, though it was perfectly audible from right infront of him. So he had heard. Cattalia's chest tightened as she felt a soft blush crawl onto her face; her confidence of years past had long since faded with disuse. She put on a small smile and shook her head.
"Now is a fine time, what do you need me for?" She assured with a question of her own, keeping things light and trying to refocus him back on whatever task he was here for. Now, however, he seemed wholly distracted.
"Right! The- hmm- well, if you would indulge me a moment..." He trailed off for a moment, gancing down the hall and shifting his weight as if he had some reason to be nervous over the question. "...the music just a moment ago, was that you?" There it was. Of course it was him who had to ask, and when he knew perfectly well what the answer was, too. Alphinaud was her best friend, she couldn't just...
It was Cattalia's turn to break eye contact, instinctively glancing in the direction of her lute (thankfully out of eyeshot from the door) resting on her bedspread. She'd never mentioned this peice of her past to the Scions, in hopes of putting off the inevitable performance request until she could relearn her muscle memory... and hopefully forget what happened the last time she had an audience. Still, Alphinaud was awaiting a response. She looked back to him, smile faltering.
"Sure was." She answered with a tense nod. "I'm still remembering how to play, so it's not much to listen to right now. Hope it didn't bother you." Her explanation was brief, and her flat out apology only seemed to baffle Alphinaud more.
"Bother me? The only thing that might bother me is that you've hidden this talent of yours for so long- that sounded incredible!" His brows raised in insistence as he assured her of his thoughts, but it only flustered Cattalia further- especially when it felt undeserved. However, Alphinaud wasn't finished, looking once again deep in thought.
"I came with an errand from Tataru, but she said it could be done anytime in the next week, so it's not a rush... I just can't believe..." He trails off again, hand resting on his chin in thought before he starts thinking out loud again.
"We've traveled hundreds- likely thousands of malms together, and yet you've not once mentioned an interest in music. An appreciation for it, sure, but you sound like a practiced musician." His curious musings shot through her mind like an accusation, and she couldn't help but feel a bit guilty. It was a major part of her life, and it made sense that it showed, even when she was out of practice.
Her expression fell, and the guilt must have been plain enough on her face to make Alphinaud speak again before she could, a nervous smile suddenly on his face.
"Not that I'm upset-! Please, don't mistake my questioning as any kind of annoyance. I'm simply surprised that you- that I never-" He paused, letting out an amused sigh. "Just, count me impressed. You have quite the voice, 'Talia." She could feel the blush on her ears now, but she'd let Alphinaud speak for plenty long enough, and crossed her arms with a light huff.
"If you insist... you have my thanks, Alphi. Don't expect hearing it to become a habit though." She added quickly, still hoping she might keep her practices somewhat secret for the time being. Alphinaud seemed startled for a moment, before he realized what she meant, his previous energy quickly dropping from his voice with a small nod.
"I... understand. If you're not ready to share, then I won't pry." It was almost painful how disappointed his quiet words sounded, even if he was trying not to make it obvious. "Apologies again for the intrusion- I'll leave these here and let you return to your-" He held out a small pack of notes, but froze when Cattalia turned and walked to the other side of her room, ignoring his offering entirely. In her few steps to get there, she took a deep breath, trying to settle her very loud mind. Thankfully, all her thoughts at least agreed on one thing.
She grabbed her lute and walked back into view of the door, gesturing for Alphinaud to come in with a shift of her head. "Since when have you not enjoyed prying into other people's secrets? You may as well stay, if you're already here." She offered, attempting to ease her stress with a playful jab.
He seemed to take a second to register everything-- the sudden change of mind, her teasing remark, the lute she now held in her arms-- but his mind eventually caught up with her, chuckling as a soft smile returned to his face. He stepped inside, setting the notes on a table just inside the door.
"A personal invitation? How could I refuse."
---
FINALLY a chance to write my boy. Haven't had a good chance to work him into a prompt yet, but now we get some lore a n d some Alphi! Can't have people thinking I'm normal about the video game characters I like. Thanks for reading! 💙

No one knows that Deidre has been stuck in the equivalent of 5th grade for three years because they keep making her win their wars until the peace talks Infront of Emperor Varis, specifically in the arranged marriage au. She digs around in her inventory for five minutes, pulls out a piece of paper so wrinkled it has the texture of fabric, and tells them she's been trying to finish this sheet of division homework since she blew up the Ultima weapon. In front of the Scions, City Leaders, their enemy, hydaelyn and everyone she's like 'if you're going to put me in line to be empress can I at least finally go to school'

This purely scientifically hypothetical, what would happen if Haurchefant was exposed to the love booster infront of !Agni. Just want to ses how Niddy strength Estinien vs Haurchefant who in lore needed a dozen knights to restrain him
(AU set post-6.0 and thank you again for all your asks <3)
"Haurchefant, how lovely for you to come visit--oh dear." Agnes sighed, realizing at once what happened. Again.
Haurchefant Greystone, the former presiding lord of Camp Dragonhead and current Scion, was on his knees at her and Estinien's apartment door. "My dearest and sweetest Agi, how I adore you! How I wish I could tell you the depths of my feelings for you! You are a singular woman, and I would worship the ground you walk upon if it is your desire!"
For fuck's sake. Okay, I should really get him...somewhere...so he can sleep this off or something. "Haurchefant, I don't--"
"Agnes please! Let me love you in the way you deserve!" He prostrated himself to her, causing her to blush and hope Estinien is still in the bathroom.
"You were at our wedding, Haurche. I love Estinien, and he loves me. We're married and having a little girl in a few moons." She patted her belly. "And what you're feeling right now isn't real. It's just a love potion--"
Haurchefant shook his head. "Nay, my sweetest flower! I have loved you for so long. I sacrificed mine own body to save you! That's more than that lout Varlineau has ever done!" He rose quickly and bowed to her. "Allow me to fight for your hand, Agnes. Allow me to defeat him in honorable combat so that you can be Lady Greystone!"
"WHAT?!?!"
Oh shit, there's my grumpy dragon. Maybe I can use Rescue to get my staff just in case I have to bonk them both.
Estinien Varlineau, hands balled into his fists, made it to the door within three long strides and glared at Haurchefant. "What did you just say to my wife?"
"Love, it's the alchemist shit again. Haurchefant--" Agnes began but was interrupted by Haurchefant unsheathing his gunblade.
"Ser Estinien, you are not fit to be the Warrior of Light's husband! I challenge you!" Haurchefant snarled, looking Estinien in the eye.
"Excuse me, but--"
Estinien's nostrils flared, and Agnes could see red dots pooling in his eyes. Oooooooh no. Oh dear. This is not good. "I am her husband. Her mate. The father of our daughter, Greystone. YOU CANNOT HAVE HER!" He roared, black scales erupting through the starburst scar on his forearm and bursting through his shirt on his shoulder. His shirt (rest in pieces) was in tatters, his pants ripping like tissue paper as Estinien's draconic self came out.
Under normal circumstances, people would be terrified! And yet, as always, I'm turned on. But first...
"GREYSTONE! I'LL KILL YOU WHERE YOU STAND!"
"If you think some dragon essence is enough to scare me, then you're stupid as well as dishonorable, ser!"
"Pardon me--"
The two collided and began rolling on the floor.
Agnes shut her eyes and took a deep breath. For fuck's sake. Okay, time to be The Warrior of Light. "Rescue!" Her staff came to her instantly, and she slammed it to the floor. "ENOUGH. If you two are going to brawl, then please go in an open area and NOT IN MY FUCKING HOME. That being said," she cast Repose on Haurchefant and bonked Estinien's draconic head with her staff. "you know better, having been under the same spell. Haurchefant isn't in his right mind and insisting on fighting when we know the solution is fucking stupid."
Now in his elezen form, Estinien sighed deeply. "Forgive me. My...instincts took over. When it comes to you and Esme, I cannot..." Oh gods, he's looking at me with those "I'm so sorry Agi please forgive me and let me love you" eyes. As if I can ever stay mad at him!
Agnes smiled. "It's alright, love. Now, if you could get Haurchefant to the couch that would be great. I'll contact Nidhana for some antidote...or just let him sleep, I suppose."
Estinien shrugged as he stood. "Whatever you think is best. You know...there was a time when I thought Haurchefant or Aymeric would be better for you instead of me." He smiled ruefully. "Back when I thought I was undeserving of your love."
She raised an eyebrow. "Oh?"
"Aye, but not now." He hugged his wife and gave her a gentle squeeze. Love it when he hugs me. I feel so safe and loved and cared for. He's the best. I'd never want anyone else.
"Good, because you're stuck with me, 'Stinien."
He hugged her a little tighter. "And you with me."
A loud snore came from the floor making them laugh.
"I'll deal with Ser Snores A Lot. You rest. I'll be along shortly."

You wanted to see pictures of my special girl Deidre here she is
She's 5'4 and I've found two NPCs pre EW with her exact face and coloring combination . (Sky watcher infront of the immortal flames and someone sitting at a table at the bar in the crystarium) she's a solo white mage up until her Big Crisis at the vault where she disappears for four days and no one knows where she is (except Emmanellain who has connected the dots to her picking up dark knight and is NOT SAYING ANYTHING because She's the baby sibling of the house now and he's trying very hard to figure out how to be the older brother and older brothers keep things secret when they know it'll get each other in trouble right? Yeah? Right? Totally comparable to the vase incident when he was a kid-)
How did she manage to be a solo white mage up until halfway through HW? She watched her dad train other village kids to be lancers (mountain village above Silvertear Lake where the wood meets mor Dhona, VERY close to imperial occupation) and improvised close combat with her staff. Which Estinien witnesses while they're both coincidentally visiting Haurchefant during 2.1 (Haurchefant handled the Dragoon quest misshaps) and is just. Baffled. By the combination of actual technical parries and.... Hitting Voidsent like she's swinging a baseball bat. (Also the Eye responds to her but he's ignoring that because she's EIGHTEEN and already struggling with the one title she has and Haurchefant would Kill Him) So Estinien.... Doesn't teach her lancer.... But he does coach her in actual quarterstaff drills. And she does just happen to figure out how to use Aero to jump and earth to make a blade on her staff. New older brother gained.
Also. I haven't written the echo quite on your level with the building But. She is way more like Zenos than any of the scions really want to think about. She actually thought Hydaelyn was resurrecting her whenever she died because she wasn't done with her yet until Zenos ended up back in his own body (Her weird friendship with zenos in shadowbringers is a whole nother essay) but turns out!!! She just repossesses her corpse once her ambient aether makes it healed enough to live in again :). The Scions, save for Alphinaud (who finds out along with the rest of the Fortemps household and tataru when they have an argument after she finally returns to the manor post-vault), and Arenvald (who did the arr patch summonings with her and watched her stand in a bolt of lightning to save his ass and then die and then not be dead), only find out that Actually She Dies Kind Of A Lot when Esteem goes on a fucking RANT at them after the first encounter with Zenos because she's under Living Dead and trying to get medical attention but they think she's an Ascian. (Haurchefant knew the whole time. Haurchefant knew the moment she broke down crying when he asked how her battle with Garuda went. She had never died before that and no one else had asked, not since Thancred's panic after Ifrit)
Deidre is my CW Winchester and some day she Will kill me for it <3
OOOOH Miss Deidre is really gorgeous, and I love her story as well! The fact that she learned how to fight with her staff while being a white mage is genius actually, reminds me a bit of some monk moves that specialize on parrying and disabling their adversary, it's a really smart way to handle fights and I can see how it would work well for a white mage! I love your interpretation of her Echo too, it's always fun to hear other people's thought about the echo and Hydaelyn's blessings and how that affects their Wol. Of course how I could I not enjoy some good ol Zenos reflection! Thank you for telling me more about her ❤

From the lvl 70 Dark Knight class quest! I only just went back and finally did it and this scene gave me goosebumps! Like the Dark Knight storyline is so good that Im a caster main and its the one Im most invested in.
Sorry about the cursor, its the recording of me playing through it. Spoilers and stuff below!
One of the most interesting things I find about this storyline is that it tells us that the WoL is not as okay as people think. Like, we are so not okay that our regrets and worries have become so strong that they are now walking, talking, physical beings. Independent from us and without us even knowing.
All of our buried emotion came to life. And its totally relatable and understandable, too. One being our frustrations about being everyones go-to hero and soldier, taking on the heaviest burdens and doing all of the heavy lifting when worst comes to worst. Which it does very often. Turns out were not as compliant as we seem, and have resentment about people constantly asking so much of us.
The other being the embodiment of our grief. About how many lives weve had to take away. Even physically resembling several of the people we failed to save while fighting this endless war. This shadow is so apologetic and sad all the time and it really says a lot about the WoL.
And then theres the fact that even though this is kind of a big deal, the only two people that know about it are Sidurgu and Rielle, and they wouldnt have even known about it had they not just watched us fight ourself, alongside our other self.
Which by the way, our other self Fray was someone Sidurgu knew. Not only did we not tell him that Fray was us the whole time, when we fought and reabsorbed Fray, we let Sidurgu believe he was dead. Like, we stayed silent right up to the point where they could have been killed, and thats when we finally decide to release Fray infront of them.
For someone considered a close personal friend to so many people, the WoL is a very closed person. We know so many of other peoples deepest secrets and fears, and yet not a single person in lets say, the scions; knows this about us.
I find the whole thing very interesting to think about :0

🍑 🧡 for Urdr and your Commander pls
I have waaaay too many commanders so i will pick the one i use the most which is Ghaelahad
🍑 Where is your OC’s favourite place to relax or calm down? Recount a story of their time spent in this place! What makes it so special to them? Is there anywhere your OC hates to go to? Anywhere that stresses them out or have negative memories of?
Urdr: In a tavern, telling about her latest run-ins with the Svanir or her latest adventure or hunt while drinking some good mead. The speciality of the place is probably the people around her. She can relax anywhere if she's with friends who she trusts...Maybe not in Bjora but other places for sure. She hates svanir camp if that counts and she does clear them out as fast as she can. Other place might be the grave of her mother where she occasionally visit to give her respects but otherwise she avoids it.
Ghael: He loves to stay by Aurene's side when he can wherever it is but his new favourite place to stay just to idle away is the giant Soo Won statue in Kaineng city and the park infront of it. And as to the place he hates is Joko's old kingdom. All of it. He does not want to go back ever.
🧡 Who is your OC’s favourite person? Why is this person the top of their list and have they actually met them (an idol or rolemodel or celeb can be someone’s favourite after all!).
Urdr: Braham. They know eachother since they were toddlers and she has a very obvious crush on him. She is there to help him heal now after what happened to Primordus.
Ghael: Aurene. His dragon sis and best friend. Scion and Champion.

M'ixie Foxna, Fisher of Light and Capitan of the pirate ship The Untamed! I talk about her a lot sporadically so i'm just gonna use my friend's post as a excuse to post about her. spoilers for all of ff14 (AAR-EndWalker)
Despite the nameing conviction M'ixie is a moon miq'ote! 100% catches fish by jumping into the water and biting them when she gets frustrated with the rod and bait. She takes after her player and is very goofy and full of energy, but takes things seriously when they need to be (does she know when things need to be serious? not all the time, kupo!).
Her main combat class is summoner, being able to summon leviathan after binding the primal to her grimoire. In canon she doesn't have titan but "mechanically" Leviathan's attacks and abilities are the same as Titan's. Additionally, her LB3 is drawing her fishing rod and yanking leviathan out of her book, wiping him around the battle field as he tries to break the fishing line. she has respect for the idea that this is someone's deity she is throwing around like a glorified worm on a string so she doesn't drop him on people too often.
When it comes to how M'ixie grew up, she was raised on The Untamed by her moon keeper mother and sun seeker father. the Untamed's crew raised each other and was made up mostly of castaways and stowaways. Her two retainers are the remains of the crew and are practically her brothers. When M'ixie became captain it was decided that pirating wasn't the best and being a privateer wasn't stable enough for the crew so to limsa lomimsa they scattered!
M'ixie loves the sunny weather of limsa, the gloom of moh dona, the rains of grindana- its easier to say what weather she doesn't like. which is snow. due to her player's great distaste for corthes and how hard it is to navigate M'ixie has developed a near hatred for snow and the cold. She doesn't even like ice fishing because of it! the only thing that makes it remotely worth it is her friends and the tasty fish dishes she can make.
speaking of cooking her comfort food is either bubble chocolate or salted carp balls. although she struggles with making bubble chocolate- or anything that isn't fish. This cat has figured out how to burn apple juice! There is a small moment between her and her friend Sig where the two were helping in The Bismark cooking various foods. When she was asked to make mashed poptatos Sig silently slid the plate of trout she was going to try and add to the dish away from her without even seeing her reach for it. He just knew where that was going.
i'm debating what her relationships with the Scions are, but one i am certain of is her friendship with Thancred. I've been playing around with their relationship being complicated but platonic at it's core. at the end of the quest In From The Cold Thancred was the only Scion to truly comfort and ground her back to reality. She 100% refers to them as trauma buddies, much to Thancred's amusement and annoyance.
speaking of annoyance, M'ixie has a fond memory with each scion where she does something annoying yet enduring- addressing Y'sthola with "kupo", referring to herself as alphinud's art assistant, being Alisei's battle buddy, and when she thinks Uranger is lying she says something along the lines of "You're making Thancred sad." (she said it infront of Thancred once and he was confused to the hells and back. neither bothered to explain).
the only Scions she doesn't have a fondness for is G'raha and Estinin. the crystal exhark was M'ixie mortal enemy for stealing away her friend's souls and she never got over that anger. she moved passed it yes but Raha still finds himself caught on a fishing line and dangling 10 or so yalms above the ground. meanwhile estinin is too brash and jagged for her. Where she is not fond of G'raha because of something he did, she is not fond of Estinin because they just don't mesh very well. there isn't a grudge like with G'raha, but if given the choice she wouldn't want to travel with Estinin.
I think thats it for now!
Hey I wanna hear about people's WoL's
Tell me about them. Where they came from. How they grew up. What their favourite kinda weather is, the comfort foods they like. Literally *anything* I just want an excuse to look at more of the pretty OC's and lore people have

Alright, NOW I've done today's prompt >:]
FFXIV Write Day 12: Quarry
No warnings, just my WoL and a bit of Alisaie this time, playing around with some lore :3
CLANG
The sound of pickaxe hitting stone was never fun to listen to. No matter the reward, Cattalia always found it grating at some point or another-- whether than be the instant she began, or a short while in-- the shrill impact grated on her ears like few other sounds could.
CLANG
So, in an attempt to avoid heavily shortened mining trips, she opted for a simple pair of earplugs to ease her mind. It muffled the sound enough to keep her sane, while not completely blocking out everything going on around her.
[clang]
Unfortunately, they did have the side effect of... doing what it said on the tin. The sounds around her were dulled to a similarly soft level, so in her efforts to stay conscious of any one or thing approaching, she could get a bit jumpy.
[clang]
Today, however, had been blissfully uneventful, which was heartening to say the least. Almost all of her last gathering outings had been interrupted by something or other, so she'd been attempting to craft this one set of hanging planters for nearly a week now. She had to finish it-
["-attalia?"]
The once again interrupted miner flinched, hard, and nearly dropped her pickaxe over her head. It slipped a bit as her limbs went rigid, and she scrambled to grab a better hold of it, before spinning around to see who had so kindly come all the way into the desert to bother her.
["Oh- sorry! I thought I'd made enough noise on my way over, considering the sand worm I just took care of, but I forgot about your..."] Alisaie gestured in the general direction of the startled miqo'te infront of her, presumably referring to the earplugs. Cattalia let out a tense breath, shaking off the adrenaline shot with an amused scoff and stowing her pickaxe in its holster her back.
"You're not the first, nor will you be the last. I think I'll manage." She dismisses the concern with a small smile, pulling out her earplugs as she speaks, before crossing her arms with an expectant raise of her brows. "So, what brings you all the way out here? Another urgent meeting need attending?" Her question was lighthearted, but she was absolutely preparing to swallow her frustration to go do "more important scion stuff" agan. Much to Cattalia's surprise, Alisaie shook her head, the mischeviously knowing smile on her face implying she saw right through the Warrior of Light's coverup.
"Wouldn't dream of it-- I doubt Tataru will send anyone for that job but Dev now. Not that I would mind, but I'm not looking to test my reflexes right now. I'm sure you can understand." She assured, a smirk tugging at the corner of her innocent smile.
"I understand that I'm never living that down, that's much is clear..." Cattalia muttered, forever haunted by the time she accidentally threw an unwanted ore at an unannounced visitor behind her. When the memory passed, however, she realized Alisaie wasn't actually here for something work related. Curiosity piqued, she was about to say more when she was beaten to the punch.
"So, I was actually hoping you could get me something. Urianger says it's rarely found for sale, and Dev says he's gotten some, but that you're more familiar with it, hence it seemed a safe bet to come pester you. Think you could get me some aethersand?" Preamble finished, Alisaie finally got to her point, asking her question despite her tone sounding confident she knew the answer. She was perfectly right to be confident thought, and Cattalia couldn't help but laugh at how well Alisaie knew her.
"Finally someone's asking me the right questions."
---
Phew! This is wayyy more fun than J expected it to be, but my head is very empty now lmao. Alright time to chill and go back to grinding DRG levels, thanks for reading! 💙

Teach a Cat to Fish and Feed Her for a Day
TIMELINE: After The Events of Stormblood
LOCATION: The Rising Stones
"5 million for the axe, I won't go any lower!"
"Deal!"
"No!!"
The loud crash of a Arcanist book impacting a skull reverberates across the Rising Stones as the lalafell reprimands her, quite literally at this point, numbskulled hero
"Xantunsia that was literally the first offer I made!"
"But you said you wouldn't go any lower..." The miqo'te protested, rubbing her pummeled head through her spiky hair
"Well of COURSE I said that, but I didn't mean it!"
"Why would you lie to me Tataru...?" The warrior of warriors responded, with a heartbroken expression, to the now flabbergasted secretary who was now slouching over the table in disbelief
"There's got to be another way to do this... She'll be eaten alive out there.... Twelve help us if she ever ends up in the markets with Scion funds..."
"I have a suggestion!" a voice rang out from the entrance of the Stones
Tataru, unable to even to muster surprise anymore, wearily lifted her head towards the voice to see a blind Miqo'te standing dramatically in the door, though facing a wall.
"Oh hey Meives! What are you d-" Xantunsia excitedly greeted her friend before cutting herself short and making a serious expression
"He he he, so you noticed..." the intruder chuckled as her policewoman tabard swayed dramatically in the wind that was inexplicably blowing in the closed building. "But you're too late!"
And suddenly, she tossed a bag she was hiding behind her back at Xantunsia!
Or, at least, it was probably intended for Xantunsia anyway. It actually veered wildly to the right, almost hitting the wall. While the exhausted finance handler could only look on in confusion, Xantunsia jumped for the bag like a shark, grabbing it with her mouth before it made an unseemly splat against the wall. She excitedly jammed her head inside, removing it moments later with a small fish in her maw, and a very satisfied expression.
"Is... is that a bag of fish?" Tataru asked as she finally managed to attempt to grasp the situation.
"Not just any fish..." Meives said smugly, before shouting in a conclusive manner,
"They’re Sardines!!"
And that quickly, Tataru's processing attempt had failed. Meives plan however, was only getting started.
"Xan, want 100 gil for those sardines?" The miqo'te officer asked
"Don't need it" Xantunsia replied, still chewing
"100 gil?"
"Nah"
"10,000 gil?"
"I'm okay"
"10 million gil??"
"Eh, maybe after I've eaten a few more"
"Want another sardine?"
"YOU HAVE MORE???"
Finally tearing her gaze away from the fish bag, the vicious, fish eating warrior looked to Meives expectantly
Tataru meanwhile, was starting to get the picture
"She doesn't see value in gil... but if it's something she loves like sardines..."
The lalafell took out a bag of gil and slammed it down infront of the still chewing Xantunsia
"Xantunsia! Pretend each of these pieces of gil, is a sardine! Meives, prepare to stop her from eating the gil!"
"Already on it" Meives answered to Tataru's orders, swooping the gil bag up just before Xantunsia could chomp on it instinctively
"Now Xantunsia... try to buy this axe from me with your sardines!" The secretary said confidently
After a few moments of confusion, or maybe a whole handful of them, Xantunsia's eyes opened wide, seemingly in understanding of the plan
"5 million I won't go any lower" Tataru let out in a voice just barely nervous enough to sense its trembling
"5 million...." Xantunsia paused
".....”
“ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?! I wouldn't pay more than 100,000 for this back scratcher!!"
The room fell silent at Xantunsia's retort for a good few moments, and then, for an instant after, the faint snicker of triumph could be heard from the "merchant"
"100,000! You cheap shite, I'd charge my ma more than that! Its a solid million at least"
"Well how you rip off your ma aint none of my business! I'm telling you it aint worth more than 200,000 you scam artist"
"Well I ain't got time to argue with a daft broad that cant tell an 800,000 axe when she sees one"
"I know enough to know your head would be better served on this 300,000 one than on your shoulders if it think it can get away with charging that much!"
"That right?! Well how about I drive this 600,000 axe through you so you can know just how much it's worth!"
"Aye I'd like to see you try to leave a mark on me with that 400,000, trash heap"
"..."
"..."
"500,000"
"450,000"
"475,000"
"Deal!" Xantunsia said, striking out her hand, as a single tear ran down Tataru’s cheek.
As the handshake concluded, the secretary and the Policewoman cheered. Tataru went for a congratulatory high-ten to thank Meives for her help, which Meives promptly missed horribly. Following this whole exchange, Xantunsia let out some hearty laughter.
"That was fun Tataru! And thanks for the sardines Meives! Where'd you get them anyway??"
"Hm? Oh just a merchant I passed by" Meives replied, as Xantunsia gasped
"you can buy them??" I always caught my own! I'm gonna go buy some too! See you later guys!”
As she ran out, Tataru looked on like a proud parent "ah, there she goes, out into the world markets, all grown up"
"Yeah," Meives followed-up, "buying sardines all by herself..."
....
"Meives..." Tataru interrupted her own proud silence "how much did you offer her for the sardines before...?"
"...t-ten million gil..." Meives replied, coming to a terrifying conclusion
"And she said... no." Tataru finished the thought as a new, more fearful silence filled the room
......
"Find her right now FIND HER RIGHT NOW!
NOTIFY THE ADVENTURER'S GUILD!! DO WE STILL HAVE SHINOBI HERE?! DO NOT LET HER FIND THOSE FISH!!!"
And thus the chase was on to stop the worst possible bargain in Scion history from being struck.

My character depiction of Melkor is following such suit too, a failed idealist who couldn't get a better choices on his own path. I don't think he had better way to survive in Tolkien's world. The world never wants to evolve but just to stay the same : refined, calm, way too perfect, creepily peaceful without conflicts - Everthing has it's own place and in it's place from the beginning But he was the one who needed to speak up for himself, he had no place for himself. A vala without Maiar and a scion who couldn't inherit anything from his father. An outcast, had no political power upon ainur _I think that's why he brooded in the void_until he fought with teeth and nails with his father. Firstborn in older days were the people who inherited everything by their own birthright but he is denied of everything he could have. By his own father who gave his life and ability to surpass any of his own siblings. A king without crown and followers. Literally nobody. If he wanted to get something, he would likely had to make it all himself but due to his 'I can do everything a littlebit but can't just do it perfectly due to my limit which means I have no mastery at all' ability he couldn't get nothing enough. So in order to get something nice, he had to steal others' things. Like their Maiar or something. Since he naturally had nothing from the start. Stealing bunch of Aulendils and some of others.
But it is a hard task, since maiar are deeply attached to their valar so he has to deal with the fact and try to get the bond loose. I think since he had nothing for his own in the beginning, he will be highly perceptive at others' needs. A big need to get something they feel lacking. So if he could see through the other one's lack, he would use it to convince them to join him. And I think that is likely to be the biggest reason he is called a liar. Those lack of things mostly cannot be filled without their own self growth, no one else can fill it for themselves at all. But since he is the most powerful vala and the one who catched the fact, the maiar who chose to follow him would believe that he can mend their own issues. Like : he is powerful enough to do everything he needs to do without aid so he can make everything alright all by himself, since he survived in the void and blocked all other ainurs blows to him it may seem reasonable at that time but well, as time flows by the siege of Utumno happened and Melkor gets caught. Imprisoned for very long ages. And to be released he had to prostrate himself to beg for mercy infront of his brother : Who always have been his arch enemy since their own beginning, the one who had taken Melkor's own birthright as the firstborn, I tend to think Melkor feared Varda and envied Manwe more than he hated them because of these all things happened to him. Manwe = A child who is destined to become a king without doubt and who had a really good supporters such as Ulmo, Yavanna and Aule, and husband to one of the most powerful ainur : Varda. Who had rejected Melkor and told him to get the fuck off and sulk like a bitter idiot he is. Powerful leader with all those supports and loyal supporters from the beginning. While Melkor had to do everything from the start and built a kingdom on the pile of snowflakes and ashes Manwe had everything all the while.
Melkor would be really resentful about everything. They destroyed all he and his people_which he tried so hard to gain their hearts- had made and took him from them. Confined him, released him just to make him a lowly servant and humiliate him to no end (well actually I would have done so if I was Varda), and prevented him to go to middle earth (if not, why would he stayed in Valinor? It would be so much better for him to go back to Angband ASAP in every reason.)
I like to think that Melkor needed to make Noldor to stand against Valar, if the chaos grows he can get his opportunity to sneak out of Valinor easily. While Valar try to make people calm down, he can get out of his hell without much fight. And I think that can be one of the reason he stole Silmarilli. If he can make a chaos out of his actions it would be better if it is big. He can take revenge to his own siblings and tell how much he resent every single thing about his life filled with envy of 'nobody'. No matter how he tried hard to get out of others' way and just to have what he needed to have like others, he failed miserably. And that's why I think he became Morgoth. Every failed attempt to make his life right lead him to be the dark lord. (Yes maybe I watched starwars so much times and became too absorbed with Anakin vibes)
Well I haven't read Naruto as comics or watched in anime until now but friend of mine tempted me to do so since he told me about Tsunade and Chiyo. Also Sasori somewhat reminds me of why I am like this. Deidara is kinda much better person than Sasori in my perspective though. I understand why Obito behaved in that way by now and that never means he is not an idiot. But still much understandable than Sasuke. Why are you like this you asshole. The clan of Uchiha is literally a bunch of issues themselves since Madara and Hashirama is a naive idiot in my sight. I understand Tobirama more than his older brother and if Tobirama was a woman I would have fall in love with the character (One of my role model in anime is Lady Eboshi, so you may understand why I said so)
But most of all, I really loved Kaguya's story itself : it is so sad that a heir of a king who couldn't take a mantle herself _just because she is a lady, that unreasonable custom which I hate with all my heart_kinda fled to earth, married to a human king since she is a princess, tried to make the world on constant war a peaceful place, but since she lived in the middle of the war, betrayed by her own husband, loses her only friend which was her handmaiden, loses everything she wanted to keep safe and finally became a monster. She couldn't do anything but just to watch : yes she tried everything she could do to protect herself and do as she want but well everything has failed her. Her own deeds failing so many times by others, no matter how good or bad it is. It never mattered how hard she tried, everything around her gave her no better pathes but to become what she is now. So in many ways, she reminded me of Melkor. Since I think of him as a failed idealist who had no better choices in that world too.
