Trans/Perma2000s Tips

Hello fellow Perma2000 transider :3

- Dont use a smartphone or smart devices(or stop using it as much)! Instead use a computer, ipod, flip phone, Camcorder, Camera, etc. Anything that firsts the time

- Spend time outside and at places like the mall or arcade. I really recommend small local arcades because they usually have games that have been around since the early 2000s.

- Big Social media is nope. Tumblr, Forums, or small chatting apps are the way to go. Im a proud forum browser myself.

- Literally just scroll through forums, its very comforting seeing old website styles from the 2000s. Also while scrolling on old forums you can literally see comments/posts/chats from people back in the 2000s!

- Get games that were released in the 2000s or 90s, and use gaming consoles from back then to play those games on.

- Change the time on all your devices to sometime during the 2000s. And on those mini cameras you can change the date that shows up in the corner of the picture; so change it back to a day sometime in the 2000s.

- Listen to music that was created in the 90s-2000s and listen to music that was popular during those days

- Watch cable instead of streaming platforms like netflix, or if you are going to use streaming platforms watch shows that were specifically released in the 2000s.

- Watch ads from the 2000s on youtube to get a feel of how the time was and also to soothe dysphoria.

- Watch youtube videos from the 2000s!

- DONT BE EMBARRASSED OR AFRAID TO HAVE THE HUMOR FROM BACK THEN!!!! BE CRINGE BE FREEEEE!

- Kinda related to the tip above this one, but; USE SLANG FROM THEN!!!

- If possible get a 2000s Computer setup, you can find older computers for resale on websites like ebay or craigslist. Some of these may need fixing up but some may not!

- Decorate your room how someone in the 2000s would decorate their room. And personally i love the style of a 2000s teenager room- especially if its scene or mallgoth like.

- Eat snacks or foods that have been around since the 2000s or before. My personal favorite is bagel bites :3

- Dress in a 2000s style, there are so many different styles that were popular then! You will need to do a lot of thrifting though.

- Watch commentary youtubers cover situations from the 2000s.

- Record videos on your small shitty camera and post them youtube. You could do youtube trends from the 2000s. Even if you just get a couple views its the thought that counts, and also back in the early days of youtube getting a few hundred or thousand views was literally amazing!

- Watch movies from the early 2000s, bonus points if you watch them on vhs or on cd!

TIREDDDD WAHAHHPLS FREE ME I slept 5 hours last night and I’m doing an overnight at work tonight which means I’m probably gonna sleep another 5 hours 💔🥀 I started taking my antidepressants again too after a month of ignoring them (DO NOT DO THIS.) and I’m dying while doing stuff for my aunt… and I was in the ER yesterday for 4 hours with my mom……. so I finished side order recently

#splatoon #pearl houzuki #agent 8 #marina ida #acht mizuta #my stuff #inktober piece 2 :)#shoutout to my brother who reminded me i could replay the credits whenever because i had to get some extra refs for eight's model #and saved me from having to slog up the tower again #now if only splatoon could do that for every cutscene eh. please #i want to relive a lot of cutscenes and youre killing me for it splatoon #anyway did you know splatoon's official art has. well it wildly varies from piece to piece #they all follow like a very loose guidelines but also they all split off into their own things half the time #me with seven tabs of art trying to figure out if i want to do lines to separate pearl's fingers: so this one has lines but this one doesnt #'this one isnt relevant to this issue all fingers are splayed'#so in the end i just did whatever i wanted. i think that's a core tenet of art. do whatever you want. forever #also spent an inordinate amount of time trying to figure out what was etched into marina's headphones #im 98% sure it is the off the hook logo. but nothing save from booting up splatoon and checking myself would say for sure #and i didnt wanna boot up splatoon cause if i did then id inevitably be down a couple hours because 'oh well im here already. one run maybe'#but regardless!! im proud of how this came out even if i was supposed to have finished two days ago to keep with my schedule #especially the bg :) i think i did really good on that.#and eight's little smile i think thats the charm point of the whole piece and it took me about ten drafts to get it properly #i think i did good on that too.#im so enamored with splatoon rn help

#dogblr #dog training #i am unfortunately an extremely lazy trainer #i used to do sooooo much piblic good manners work with marlo #i did basically no public manners work with mav he just grew up to be a really good boy through repeated exposure anyway #i did a tiny bit but was mostly waiting for rory to grow into herself #but now im like actually doing regular and strategic training with her and she is LOVELY #(to be clear i did many many many foundations and lots of exposure with her #i just didnt really ask her to do anything when we were out in public so she didnt know what good dog manners looked like)#and anyway she's just a delight #she's gonna be such a cool dog when she's grown #i think the worst of adolescence is starting to leave us #im getting more and more glimpses of confident and controlled adult behaviour #im very proud of her #(and proud of myself for making it through brittany adolescence once again (and - with you all as my witnesses - for the last time))

I was so brave today and had a telephone meeting with a mortgage advisor to help me with my rates now that my fixed term has ended! - I haaaaate phone calls, genuinely hate hate hate them. I'm also really bad at understanding accents and the advisor had a really thick Scottish accent so I had to really pay attention to make sure I was catching everything he was saying. I only had to ask him to repeat what he said a couple of times the whole conversation, which is really good for me.

My mortgage payments were suuuuper low before, so I knew they were going to go up, but a £75 increase wasn't as bad as I was imagining in my anxiety spiral before the call.

I mean, it still sucks. But I kept thinking it was going to be an amount I wouldn't be able to afford.

This is doable. It's gonna be alright.

#I saved up a really decent deposit when I bought my apartment so I could get a lower mortgage repayment I was very sensible #it took me many many years to do it though I was in my late twenties still living with my parents and people thought I was insane #but it was worth it!!#anyway Im proud of myself and needed to tell you all #pie says personal stuff
