Gifts & Thoughts (M6); The Arcana
-------------------------------------------------------
Summary: The Main 6 and the gifts they send the Main Character. [Upright Endings]
Requested? ❌
Genre: Fluff
Warnings: None
"Is it obvious that all of this is right?"
-Elijah Woods, 24/7 365.
----------------------٩(◕‿◕。)۶-----------------------

Nadia Satrinava:
Elegance, is the word for the gifts she spoils you with.
Everything she gifts you always has a connection to a certain time you have spent together.
A memorable date? A memorable day? A memorable moment? It doesn't matter;
Even the jewels that always color coordinate with your outfit palette has some sort of underlying memory connected to them.
Prepare to get showered with the finest, most intricately detailed accessories that Nadia associates with your shared memories.
Small mechanical inventions for your familiar. Like the little toys she made for Chandra.
Just as much as she pampers you, Nadia spares no expense in both monetary value and thought value to the things she creates for your familiar.
Your familiar is never going to feel bored within the Palace grounds, what with both Chandra and Nadia's little inventions to keep them company when you aren't there.
Light silk clothes in your preferred color palette, while the Vesuvian weather makes velvet and other similar fabrics impractical-
Nadia is well versed with the versatility of silk with the heat.
The silks she gifts you are to be imported from Praka, she will settle for gifting you no other silks but the finest kind in all the world.
The embroidery on these clothing items are always customized:
A pattern of a colorful forest: When you hunted down Lucio's ghost together.
A pattern of a wheat field: For that time you screamed your grievances to the heavens.
A pattern of waves, a small island with a singular angled tree: For the time you swam with her in the High Priestess' domain.

Asra Alnazar:
Scrapbooks is the vibe that comes to mind whenever the gift is from Asra.
For his presents are a mix of both learning, and simple sentimentalities.
There are still times where he goes on his own adventures and whenever he does, he never fails to bring back a tricket (Or five) which had reminded him of you in some way.
A leatherbound journal, with a burnt in pattern. For note taking when you're working on spell adjustments.
A small gemstone imbued with a protection spell, or a spell for luck, or healing- That has been fashioned into a necklace.
Herbs that he dries himself.
Self-made tea blends that he has subjected himself to tasting before handing you the perfected blends.
Matching knitted sweaters for you and your familiar, imbued with temperature regulation spells.
Spell tomes he bought, read, and then annotated with possible helpful tips, or everyday commentary to make your learning easier and more fun.

Julian Devorak:
Tomfoolery. That's it. That's his type of gifts.
A pun book, that he had somehow managed to talk Malak into gently dropping on you.
A sealed bottle with a preserved leach inside, reminiscent of the time you both thought to bathe in a suspiciously muddled pond.
He buys small journals, and writes down his adventure stories within them before handing them over to you.
Sometimes he'd send you a "Doctor's Prescription" that contain sweet gestures such as ten hugs a day, four kisses per hour, a "Nap" with him that lasts at least 12 hours-
Julian is an actor, a performer, an artist, a man of the arts. He always comes up with a new way to make a gift unique from the rest despite them being almost the same in form.
You now have a slowly growing folder of all the Doctor's Prescriptions you have been prescribed.
Thankfully, you only have a single bottle of leech and there is no indication that there will ever be another one.

Muriel the Outsider:
Handmade. Everything he gifts you is made with love, adoration, and quiet devotion driving his hands.
Sculptures both realistic and abstract, with the wood carefully polished to bring out the unique patterns.
Spice blends foraged and dried by himself from when he goes foraging in the forest every month.
Very seldomly, he gifts you flowers that he dried himself. Whenever he finds some that he likes the colors of.
He doesn't gift you dried flowers often, he appreciates nature and it's bounty but finds it hard to see any flowers as beautiful enough to be given to you.
Home cooked meals that Muriel tries his best to perfectly season and cook to your preferences.
Whenever trading caravans pass by Vesuvia, Muriel heads into the city and does his best to peruse each and every cart. Looking for something that might "Speak" to him as something that suffices as a gift for you in his eyes.
If there is no specific thing that meets his standard, then he'll look for materials in the carts instead so that he can make you something.

Portia Devorak:
Literature; Portia learned to read and write quite late in life, those two skills have become an integral part of who she is and what she sees as art and worthy of praise.
She writes you verses, poems, short stories- and she scatters them in the nooks and crannies of your shared home for you to find unexpectedly.
The paper is always subconsciously imbued with her magic. Whenever you touch the paper, you end up getting a glimpse into what she was feeling for you when she wrote the piece.
She gifts you books of stories she always comes back to, and books about the history, customs, and culture of the places you and her are sent as Emissaries to.
She makes sure to read through these books herself first, inserting slips of paper with her own viewpoints on a particular scene, or poems inspired by the scene (and the fact that she imagined both of you in it).
She also makes sure to always get you a box of the most delicious looking and smelling treat in the bakeries you visit on your Emmisary trips.

Lucio / Montag Morgasson:
The World. (No, Lucio does not get you the world turtle- As cute as they may be.)
He is no longer the Count, he has renounced that stature in favor of being a mercenary once more.
On your excursions, Lucio takes the time to sit down and take in the sights with you. Talking about everything and little nothings all at once.
Sometimes he sneaks in a purchase when you're both in the marketplace stocking up on supplies, stuffing it into his pack when your back is turned.
He never knows where or when he's going to give it to you on your adventures, but he knows that he'll know when the time is right.
Lucio picks flowers from the paths you're walking to place it either in your hair, or he pins it to your shirt.
If you get sad when it inevitably wilts away, Lucio reassures you that it's nothing to be sad about because the memory of your happiness from receiving the flower will metaphorically be keeping it alive.
If you find a way to preserve it with magic, he'll buy a sturdy box (He also asks you to enchant it with a few spells for extra safety) in which to keep all the flowers taken from your journey.
Once the box is full, it finds a place on the mantle of your shared home.

Two Banishing Powders from a Southern Folk Witch
In Southern folk magic, the formula used for a banishing spell varies a little bit based on whether you want to banish an actual person (basically getting them to leave you alone) or a spirit/energy/abstract concept.
Banishing formulas for getting rid of living people tend to focus on causing irritation and discomfort to get someone to leave, which may be less effective if they don't have a physical body. Banishing formulas for spirits/energy are more about deep cleansing and making the space inhospitable for undesirable spirits. The herbs and minerals a practitioner might reach for are different in these two situations.
Below are two all-purpose banishing formulas from my practice: one for living people, and one for spirits.
GTFO Powder
For getting rid of unwanted (living) people.
You will need:
The spiciest red pepper flakes/powder you can find (If you like spicy food, use something so hot you can't eat it in large amounts. I like spice and I use Szechuan pepper flakes, but cayenne will work, especially if you know the person you want to banish doesn't like any spice at all in their food. Discomfort is the goal here.)
Black pepper (Used here to cause mild inconvenience/discomfort/bad luck)
Salt (Good, old fashioned banishing)
(Optional) dried, crumbled wasps nest*
(Optional) dirt from the side of a busy road or highway**
*This is actually much easier to find than you'd think, but be careful not to get stung! This is a traditional ingredient in Southern folk magic because wasps are known for how viciously they protect their homes. Fair warning: this is a mean ingredient (since its purpose is to cause pain/discomfort), so I'll leave it up to you whether to include it or not. If you're dealing with a stalking or abuse situation, wasps nest can give you the extra oomph you need to help keep the abuser from returning.
**Only include this if you're trying to make someone physically leave your space or relocate to a different geographical area. And PLEASE be careful collecting this dirt! My advice is to try to collect it during a less busy time of day and to stay several feet away from the actual road.
How to Use It:
When you mix up this powder, speak over it and state your intention. You can enchant this powder for all-purpose banishing, or you could mix up a batch to banish a specific person. Either way, it is important that you tell the powder what it is meant to do. I like to speak directly to the spirits in the powder and ask them for their help.
Traditionally, you would use this powder by sprinkling some in your target's shoes, but that isn't always possible. You can use it in poppet spells by adding it to the feet of the poppet for the same effect. You can also use it to dress candles, add it to jar spells, or incorporate it into other types of banishing spells. Warning: do not burn this powder, as it can cause irritation or injuries to the lungs.
If you need to get rid of a specific person, you'll want to customize the powder to only work on them. The easiest way to do this is with a taglock (an item that has a physical connection to the target). Some of their hair would be ideal, but you can also use a photo of them or even a piece of paper with their name and address written on it, like you were addressing a letter. You'll want to burn the taglock to ash, then mix this ash into the powder. Make sure you burn it outside, because the smoke will be unpleasant.
You can use this powder to keep someone away from your home or another building by sprinkling a line of it across all entrances to the building. If you do this, make sure you've customized the powder for that person with the method above -- otherwise you may accidentally banish ALL visitors.
Ghost-Be-Gone Powder
For getting rid of unwanted spirits or psychic energy. Can also be used to banish non-physical things, like an illness or a bad habit.
You will need:
Asafoetida*
Salt (Again, used here for good, old fashioned banishing)
Garlic (You know how garlic is supposed to repel vampires? That's basically what it's doing here.)
Rosemary (Used for cleansing and banishing)
(Optional) dirt from a church, temple, or other place of worship**
*Honestly, I've used asafoetida by itself for banishing and gotten really good results. This is definitely the Big Daddy of cleansing herbs in Southern folk magic. You can usually find this in international grocery stores or get it online for fairly cheap, and it's one of the few herbs I think are worth going out of your way to get. Warning: a lot of people complain about the smell of asafoetida, but it honestly just smells like a stronger, more pungent garlic to me so your mileage may vary.
**While dirt from a church is traditional, use something tied to a religion YOU believe in. If you aren't Christian, don't use church dirt. For myself, I might use dirt from the Wiccan temple near my home or from another pagan holy site. The point here is to call on your personal spiritual allies for help. If you are an atheist or agnostic, just leave the dirt out entirely.
How to Use It:
When you mix up this powder, speak over it and state your intention. You can enchant this powder for all-purpose banishing, or you could mix up a batch to banish a specific spirit. Either way, it is important that you tell the powder what it is meant to do. I like to speak directly to the spirits in the powder and ask them for their help.
To use this powder to remove a spirit from your home, use it to clean your floors. You can sprinkle it on the floor, let it sit for a few minutes, and then sweep or vacuum it up.
I don't recommend burning this powder as incense, but you can use it in spells. You can place a ring of it around the base of a black candle or add some to a jar spell, for example. You can also use this to cast a circle around your spellwork if you want to protect it from interference in the spiritual realm.
A Note on Cultural Appropriation
Every time I post some of the more folksy parts of my practice online, I get asked whether it's okay for others to use these spells. Specifically, people want to know if these spells come from a closed tradition or if they have to live in the South to use them.
The folk magic tradition I practice is not tied to any closed cultural practice. I will never post anything from a closed practice online. So yes, you can use these powders no matter who you are or where you are from. You don't have to live in the South or be from the South to practice Southern folk magic, but you will get more out of your practice if you have a connection to the region.
On a related note: some of y'all may have noticed that these powders are similar to formulas used in Hoodoo. The GTFO Powder specifically is very similar to Hotfoot Powder, which is used for a similar purpose in Hoodoo. Hoodoo is a semi-closed African-American tradition that is typically passed down in families or communities. When I post about my practice, I do occasionally get comments accusing me of appropriating from Hoodoo.
Here's the thing: my practice does have some overlap with Hoodoo, because I am in the same geographical region and part of the same regional culture that Hoodoo comes from. Over hundreds of years, ideas get exchanged across racial and cultural lines. Just like some elements of Hoodoo come from European traditions, some elements of white folk magic in the South come from African roots. It's not appropriation -- it's a natural result of living in multicultural communities.
All of this is just to say, what I do is not Hoodoo, but I think of my tradition and Hoodoo as cousins. There's some shared DNA, but also a lot of differences. How I do things might look similar to how a Hoodoo practitioner does them, but the theory or exact ritual process may be different.

Hello! TTRPG question - I'm looking for a dungeon game to play with my partner. They've played Pathfinder 1E and mostly liked it, but it was too complicated for them. Picking feats and buying magic items in particular had too many options for them and made them dread leveling up.
Any recommendations for a lighter game? Race plus class customization preferred, availability in print is a must.
If you want something similar to Pathfinder and modern D&D in terms of rules but lighter, I think Five Torches Deep is worth checking out! It's mostly based on D&D 5e but simplified, and specifically meant for dungeon gaming! Takes a lot of inspiration from OSR games to make it more dungeon focused!
Basic Fantasy Role-Playing Game is another possibility: it's more OSR, less modern, so it might take a bit more wrapping one's head around if you're used to the way modern D&D does it. But it's free, with print versions available.
Break!! is another one I'm very fond of: compared to the other two, it's more modern and it handles dungeon-gaming more in the abstract, but it's got absolutely fantastic presentation. I actually recommend it a lot a lot, it's fantastic.

Rayas at the RTV Tour, 1
For the event hosted by @rtv-puzzlevision-studios
Directory: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 3.5-ish, Part 4, Part 5 (END), Epilogue
Note 1: Written in first person because it almost feels like easy to do. Besides, it would feel like interacting with everyone; and her thoughts as well. Rayas is based on how I represent myself, especially best with the blue jigsaw puzzle tie clip and head.
Note 2: My main Oc/avatar, as I explained, she has some level of autism, so hope she isn't overwhelmed in the tour. She may try to interact, but too many different personalities can be a challenge.
Note 3: the Inserts I might mention/draw down here are just for background and no direct interaction. (To clear things in case it affects the event's rules) (They gave me permission recently)
Final Note: Rayas in the Tour may not be the same for a future RTV version, as I'm struggling for ideas. Here, she's just another participant.
Story
Well, today is the day Rayas, I told myself. Doing my best to calm my nerves.
I have gotten myself ready for the Puzzlevision Tour. The uniform as required, though... for some reason, the official one never came to my door after few days passed. Was my address too abstract to find? (to be honest, I don't like strangers showing to my exact place). But regardless, since I heard other's may customize their uniforms, so I gathered items from outlets and retail to make my "custom" one; while making it, I hope I didn't overdid it, but that's me. To add my tastes, the back of the vest, right shirt cuff and mismatched stockings have stripes (I love stripes). I decided to add a blue jigsaw puzzles piece as a tie clip instead of my usual necklace. (the latter, because I'm in the spectrum)

Well, even if I knew this is a tour, I subconsciously made myself a "Visitor" arm band anyways.
I have also brought an umbrella with me, since I'm unsure if it could rain or the sunlight is too harsh, but not taking any chances; the umbrella makes me feel safe.
Whoa! After leaving the canvas door, and heading where the tour will be held... so many people... And everyone's unique customized uniforms as well! Phew... (they all look amazing and clever)
I... to be honest, other than attending the Puzzlevision tour out of curiosity, and/or to meet new people, there's one main reason I went. One of my art pieces I forgot I drew a year ago, flew away and into a different world. It would have been easy to recover it, but... this world... let's say, its different... Um, never mind, thank goodness it never left where it landed... at the Puzzlevision Studios. And since the tour has been announced, this is the right time to look for it.
I'll explain. The piece was a Group AU Art Battle strike (Art fight) drawing of many other Mr Puzzles, and the host of the Tour is in it in the middle of it! (Never thought drawing TV heads seem very fun to draw). Um... Not that I'm (too) worried anyone seeing it, or the host himself... or even one of the participants in the tour wearing blue and orange (Astro by @the-masked-astro) who is also in the drawing. But... how do I say this? It's a little too soon to show fan art at time like this. (I'm self-conscious when it comes to sharing my stuff with others) Plus, it's a year old, and looking at the host, he and the drawing look different. I sort of don't do well to sudden changes.
While following the whole group, approaching the main entrance of the studios, I could have sworn seeing the drawing fly around and breezing silently into the main building. Hope no one saw it. But if someone did, hope I can ask them to return it to me before the end of the tour. (it has my watermark already).
But there's another problem if I wanted to talk to the others. I have problems talking to people, especially if they're new. I don't think I could make eye-contact with anyone easily; and I mean, Everyone. Normally, I would gradually socialize and put away the shyness once I become acquainted; but seeing too many unique personalities and quirks.... I don't think I can. And, this could include the host of the Tour (sorry). The blue puzzle piece tie clip is the reason, as to tell some, that to be careful not to make me feel uncomfortable and/or overwhelmed. (I'm very new to all this)
A few short glances, I might had noticed that some of the participants are nervous as well. So, I'm not the only one.

Now inside Puzzlevision Studios, the lobby. There's a sign in the front wall to welcome everyone, nice. The ceiling is a lot higher than usual, is that okay? Yes. Because I saw some participants being taller. Oh, some posters on the wall. Let's see, Mario's Mysteries, Once Upon a SMG4, Scooby Mario, a game show by the main host (to be honest, that one made me laugh hard for so long since the last time I laughed. Still, it's good regardless)... Oh, wait. I'm supposed to look for the drawing while everyone is waiting for-
“DEAR GUESTS, IT’S AN HONOR TO WELCOME YOU TO PUZZLEVISION’S FIRST OFFICIAL TOUR!”
Oh! There he is! The main host over there, R-Mr Puzzles. (so many names... but Puzzles will do) Greeting all of us after climbing down the spiral stair case (that... staircase looks too narrow. A squarer shape and walled risers maybe?), showing the biggest smile. I got to say, he seems a lot taller than the others? (yes, I seen and heard more than one Mr Puzzles out there). I won't lie, but seeing him in person really is... how do I say? I don't think I can make eye-contact nor talk to him without feeling overwhelmed (a drawback to what I have. The umbrella I have brought with me is at least giving me some comfort). But at least, the coat he's wearing looks nice.
Well, after (carefully) learning of the rules of the tour (I'm a rule follower), and meeting the security present (Hello Swagmaster, Chris, and Lucian), I'm pretty sure everything will be okay. I just have to stick with the whole group and- oh! There is is! The drawing of mine, just lying around next to the stair case! And... Puzzles, the tour host, is just close to it! But... I can't get close without having to interrupt; that would be rude of me.
Oh, the drawing just flew as soon as a whoosh of Puzzles' cape/coat with an elegant wave. Or was it a draft? It's already flying around to the ceiling (how is it doing that?). Oh please... don't fall right in front of him... (I'm hugging my umbrella as is to brace for an upcoming...)

“Oh, how about a MAJORITY vote on which department to visit first? Up for OFFER we have the Art Department, the Social Media Department and the Film Department. I doubt the OTHER will be of interest to you…”
As soon as he's done, the drawing flew up the second floor to who knows since it went further out of view. Phew. (I thought I was going to have a panic attack right there and next to two participants near me) Seeing the directions on the right, near the stair case, the upper floor has the Art Department and Social Media Department.

(OCs/sonas by @purplehairball and @icedbeverageenjoyer. Author's note: they gave me permission to draw them)
A wave of mild amusement, chiming, and even sudden loud boasts from some of the participants (ouch my ears), everyone wants to go to the Art Department as the first department to visit on the tour.
Hm... guess the Art Department it is to visit first. Besides, I love drawing (my comfort hobby and meditation). Just, what is the Art Department about? Posters, advertisements, graphic design, merch design...?
Hope to find the drawing on where everyone is heading to. That's where everyone will climb up the spiral stairs (of "Doom" some say) to that department. (just need to climb slowly and hold onto the railing. And hope the rest are careful as well.)
But... regardless of what happens or where the drawing ends up or who ends up with it, as some say, (I'll) cross the bridge when I go to it.
Let's just enjoy the tour; and see if I can maybe meet the other participants.
The Drawing in question Below (hope it is optional and/or uneccessary)

(Between The Star and AV Puzzles is Astro by @the-masked-astro, one of the participants on the tour) All Ocs belong to their owners and can be found here Puzzlevision Mass Attack

Dev Pile 2025-20
Sorry, folks, calling something of an easy mode on this one. See, this week has featured some vet visits and an election and some general bad times for sleep so I’m taking an easy route here and going to talk about a game that’s not part of the ongoing Moonshiners and Bloodwork game designs.
I’m gunna talk about revising The Botch for a new era.
The Botch is a 2015 card game I made in I think ten days with my friend Cass Marshall. They were doing portrait practice and I had an idea for a game that needed simplified, abstracted pieces – a small number of pieces of art that they could, literally, sketch. The original game relied on 24 pieces, twelve characters and twelve items.
Inspiration
It’s hard to point to anything in the history that I can definitely cite as inspiration. I am pretty confident that I had seen a review of the card game Mascarade, a Bruno Faidutti game from 2013. That game shares one of the core mechanics of The Botch; the idea that you take cards from another player and swap them under the table. This idea in Mascarade is meant to represent masks being moved around in a ball, with people taking and swapping disguises moment to moment.
It’s hard to say for sure, because even now I don’t think I’ve ever played Mascarade. I think I’ve seen the rules described in a game explainer, but I don’t know what all the cards do, and I don’t know for sure what all the components in the box are. Bear in mind, there’s literally nothing wrong with taking this existing structure and making a different game off it; I’m not embarrassed by the idea that this game is based on Mascarade, I just don’t think it’s fair to say that it is. The main thing is, I suspect the bugs that exist in The Botch don’t exist in Mascarade because the developer was better, and I figure if I’d played that game I might know about it.
Basically, I’m not arguing that The Botch isn’t a copy of ideas in Mascarade, I’m arguing if it was a copy of that gamewholesale, it’d probably be better.
Goals
What I wanted to make when I started The Botch was a game as cheap as I could make it that was also really good. The Botch is a game that needed 24 cards total if players provided their own tokens to track health and diamonds.
At the time, I wanted something that I could make cheaply; I wanted it to be affordable in terms of all the pieces that went into it. Art assets were a gift from a friend, the fonts were freely available. At the time, one of the requirements for the service in question was a test print — literally, a printing designed to make sure it fit my demands and so DriveThruCards didn’t have to deal with disgruntled customers if I’d set up the files wrong. A larger game costs more to ship, moving from ‘envelope with some cards in it’ to ‘shipping a box.’ What’s more, the more cards you’re printing, the longer you wait for the thing to get put through the queue.
At the time, there also wasn’t an option for a printed card box: The Botch was shipped originally in a small plastic jewel box, which we supplemented with a printed rules sheet.
I knew I wanted the game to feel like a crime caper movie, which meant the characters had to have good titles for expressing their idea clearly. Characters don’t need a bunch of abilities to express long term staying power, they just need to
Thus, the goals were:
A game with strategic depth that didn’t require a big expensive board
A game with variety so you could play it differently from time to time
A game whose theme delivered on the feeling of a chaotic crime story
The result was a game that I could sell for $10 AUD, at a profit. Small number of cards, printed and shipped in bulk to keep production costs down, and the gameplay style has a solid pitch that attracts people to try it in sheer ‘sure, why not?’ vibes.
What Needs Changed
Well, the world has changed. Every link in the chain is different and prices have changed everywhere. The current stock I have of The Botch and its sequel The Botch Is Back were made under the old rules, in the old, pre-Pandemic world. Those units can sell at $10 because, well, that’s what they cost. The problem comes from if I want to make new versions of The Botch.
Here are some details:
The art I have isn’t the resolution printers might want now. There are tools for fixing this, but I don’t want to put Cass’ art into anything calling itself an ‘AI upsizer,’ for one. This means I might have to vector-redraw it (to carry the aesthetic of the first version) or I might have to get new art for everything.
The card images I have are all fixed images, at a fixed resolution. Same problem as above, but this is fixable. My skills with vectors and non-destructive edits have improved immensely in the past ten years (as you know, you’d hope), so this is just a matter of reconstructing the existing elements.
A 24 card game isn’t really viable any more. The basic costs of getting something to my house for distribution are enough that the difference between 24 cards and 52 cards and a box isn’t meaningful, because games aren’t being printed based on # of cards, but rather on units.
The Botch has a really complex set of game pieces you need to ‘know’ through a reference sheet, and shipping the game without that reference sheet means people can spend time confused by the game rules until they play through the game.
There are other interface refinements. I particularly want to standardise the wording and now, with years of experience, I want some cards to be reworded so they’re more useful. Particularly, I want to standardise a few game actions, and then have cards to have effects on reveal, on player death, to both make them easier to remember in terms of their action, and make the gameplay variety come from the game state that follows. I also want to put markers on cards based on player count. Make it nice and easy to signify ‘hey, these are the things you should run in a game of only 4 players.’
The current company we work with, Launchtabletop, are who we used for Lysen Co. That game comes in a tin, it has freedom to move inside its box, and I like how it feels, aesthetically. It’s a game with some stamina, some toughness to it. If I’m revising things including art and wording, and I’m looking to upgrade The Botch to a bigger box, with a higher cost, I want to justify it with an improved game experience. I want the game to be better, to justify going from a pair of $10 games you can play for $15, to instead a single box of $25.
Oh, two games?
Yeah, The Botch was one of my first games to get an expandalone, The Botch Is Back. The cards are completely capable of working together, and that means that I already have a double-sized package of cards to stick in the game; 24 items, 24 characters. If they’re all updated to work together they can use mechanics shared across one another. For example, the Helmet in The Botch can just use the recover mechanic! Similarly, the Cop could use the Stash mechanic to represent gathering evidence and not be dependent on specifically one item card.
Therefore:
Improve the card rules.
Standardise items, make the character cards the only place complex rules exist.
Ensure the game comes with a reference sheet.
Consider adding cards to add another expansion element I’ve been considering.
Check it out on PRESS.exe to see it with images and links!

Oh mannnnnn Neopets reviews…how do you feel about my fav, Blumaroo?
Blumaroos are very vaguely based off of kangaroos, but they don't share too much in common other than jumping ability and the -roo name. Instead, they have a great abstract design that feels pretty realistic while being a complete fantasy creature, with floppy trunk-like noses and details that they can bounce on.
Visually, the soft pink accents of the nose are complimented by the ears, and this base works as a good neutral to match any color. They have these nice dot eyes and smiles that capture their happy-go-lucky nature, and just have a nice shape to them. I also like them having their own land and distinct personalities; it helps them stick out a lot in my mind.
Customization-wise, the Blumaroo is a mixed bag. On the plus side, their old artwork was dated and needed a refresh (note the almost complete lack of shading). I like the way they're fatter now, the loss of the belly button is an improvement because it felt weird that they had one to begin with, and they come across as a bit happier in the new art.
But on the minus side, the lose of their old pose is a tragedy. Blumaroos bouncing and standing on their tails was one of their most interesting characters, and while it's obviously still a trait of the species, it's a shame that it's no longer shown in their art. This is particularly sad because their adorable heart-shaped feet are also hidden from view, which has the side-effect of no longer carrying the pink through the design as well as it used to.
I get that customization needed to regulate the poses a bit more, but seeing as each item has to be redrawn anyway, would it have been that hard to keep them on their tails? It's not like the Lutari where the pose would've made it difficult to see clothing or something. It's otherwise a fine conversion, but man, it would've been perfect if we got both the new art and old pose together.
Favorite colours:
Plushie: Blumaroos already look pretty huggable, but the plushie form ramps it up to 11. I love the soft blue color with just a few pops of color on the eyes and tail patch—it gives the impression of an old and much-loved plushie. The converted version isn't bad, but it unfortunately can't compete with the unconverted version, which has much bigger, floppier ears, a thicker tail, and a very cute pose.
Tyrannian: Speaking of colours that looked better unconverted, dang, the Tyrannian Blumaroo got it rough. I love the original's brows and horn-ears, with this nice neutral dappled brown serving as the base. The converted version had to change some things obviously, but it also feels like they didn't really try—why doesn't it keep the same expression (unconverted Darigan Blumaroos have different eyes, so it's obviously not a problem to change them)? Why is the brown on the tail so much lighter to the point where it's barely noticeable? Why is the ruff now red instead of the dark brown of the wings? Why are the horns so small, and why is the perspective wrong on them relative to the ears? Bleh. At least the original's still great.
Oil Paint: Thankfully, here's a Blumaroo color that looks great with the customized pose. Such a beautiful color palette, combining little strokes of colors with pretty flower-like blotches interspersed throughout. I love how the colors also flow with the body, like how the torso goes from green to red, or how there's red right around the feet. Lovely all around.

3 Fandoms, 1 Multiverse - a kind of dialogue thing (part 5)
*Pearl, Linami, Vedoko & Viettia are chilling for waiting PV-ENA to come home, alongside with PV-ENA's friends.*
Pearl: Guys, I got worried...when will PV-ENA return?
Screen Shells: Don't worry, she'll be arrived soon. But the Marvelous Mansion is just an endless abstract planet, and the day & night are kindly mixed-up I guess...
VIDpire: *Russian speaking* I AM VIDPIRE!
Screen Shells: *face palms* VIDpire...your line is just EVERYWHERE! Can you SHUT at once?!
Linami: He seems to be a neat person, don't yell at him for a little. But he sometimes being an idiot...
VIDpire: *Russian speaking* WHAT?! Did you just call me a STUPID RUSSIAN-CHINESE LOGO?!
Linami: Eh? No! It's not like that! (I actually hate that logo, but my country is paying respects to his country...)
VIDpire: *Russian speaking* Aaargh...I hear your thoughts! STOP!
*Vedoko is trying to talk with Nemesis, but she didn't care about anyone.*
Vedoko: Hey...little polar bear girl! Wanna chat?
Nemesis: *Korean speaking* Tsk...I told everyone that I'm NOT caring about anyone! Except you & your friends kinda.
Vedoko: Oh...okay?
Viettia: Wait, I have a question...why do we speak our language but you guys understand & speak only your language?
Screen Shells: Ah, it's...a special thing for us to answer. I don't know how do I explain this...
Trix: *checking the words in any paper & reads a little*
*PV-ENA's POV is STILL wandering around.
PV-ENA runs to Elegant Telescopewoman & her store, a special Skibidi Toilet OC easter egg in my story so...yeah.*
Elegant Telescopewoman: *French speaking* Ah, hello there customer! Welcome to my gift shop!
Little PV-ENA, I see your brain of my creator has fixed me from a lewd & gross kind of content to a perfect character of me!
Go ahead, my little fool. Buy something if you want.
*PV-ENA runs to Elegant Telescopewoman's store items.*
PV-ENA (serious): A jar of cream cheese mayonnaise...it costs for 50.000 goers.
The strawberry perfume, it costs for 100.000 goers...wow, what a lot!
Elegant Telescopewoman: *French speaking* It's a perfect gift for anyone's crush! Do you have a crush?
PV-ENA (serious): Oh, maybe...Trix?
Elegant Telescopewoman: *French speaking* Ah, a kind of businesswoman with some speakers huh? I already met her when she tells me how to buy something, I think you could buy a perfume for her.
But...do you have enough money?
PV-ENA (serious): Yes?
Elegant Telescopewoman: *French speaking* GOOD! Now you can buy for her!
PV-ENA (serious): Okay? Well I'm buying it!
Elegant Telescopewoman: *French speaking* To buy the item, just go to the cash register, give the item to Cosmic Camerawoman & let her check-in the price for you.
*PV-ENA remembered Elegant Telescopewoman's lines, now they could run to Cosmic Camerawoman's cash register area to check & count the price.
NOTE: Cosmic Camerawoman is also a part of my Skibidi Toilet OC easter egg thing, you guys must know about it.*
Cosmic Camerawoman: *Vietnamese speaking* Oh! Hi PV-ENA! A special customer has arrived! Item please?
PV-ENA (serious): Yes! Here you go, miss.
Cosmic Camerawoman: *Vietnamese speaking* Hmm...a strawberry-scented perfume? You gonna buy it to your crush named Trix huh?
PV-ENA (embarrassed): W-WHAT?! How did you know...my crush?!
Cosmic Camerawoman: *Vietnamese speaking* We already told you that we've met her before, you need to know somehow.
PV-ENA (serious): Ah, sorry. Anyways, how much?
Cosmic Camerawoman: *Vietnamese speaking* It's 100.000 goers, you already said that price before.
PV-ENA (serious): Okay, here! *gives money to Cosmic Camerawoman*
Cosmic Camerawoman: *Vietnamese speaking* Thanks! Here's a special price! *gives 9000 goers to PV-ENA*
Have a great day, Mr. PV-ENA!
PV-ENA (serious): Thank you!
*PV-ENA has bought the strawberry perfume to their crush named Trix, but shh...it's a secret ship!
PV-ENA leaves the store & they noticed there's a toy store near the gift store. apparently, it was Teal Speakerwoman (the 3rd Skibidi Toilet OC easter egg of mine)'s selling.
PV-ENA entered the store.*
Teal Speakerwoman: *Russian speaking* PV-ENA! You're here! What do you want in this toy store?
PV-ENA (serious): I need a stuffed animal...for my...crush.
Teal Speakerwoman: *gasps & Russian speaking* Y-YOUR CRUSH?! IS IT TRIXIE?! IS SHE YOUR CRUSH?!
PV-ENA (serious): Yeah?
Teal Speakerwoman: *Russian speaking* AAHH!! I LOVE ANYONE WHO HAD A CRUSH, IT'S THE BEST DAY OF MY-
Oh sorry. Well...if you want to buy a random stuffed animal to your crush, you could go ahead & look for it.
*PV-ENA runs to Teal Speakerwoman's store items.*
PV-ENA (serious): A bunny chicken...it costs 10.000 goers, a rainbow teddy bear costs 200.000 goers...hmm...
I think I could buy a bunny chicken stuffed animal!
Teal Speakerwoman: *Russian speaking* Oh nice! It's cheap for you but the stuffed animal you chose was HIGHLY DESIGNED FULL OF PERFECTION!
Now, you could give it to me in the cash register I stand there.
PV-ENA (serious): Okay! I'm on it!
*PV-ENA runs to Teal Speakerwoman's cash register area, gives a bunny chicken stuffed animal to check & count the price.*
Teal Speakerwoman: *Russian speaking* Any money?
PV-ENA (serious): I do have full money! Here it is! *gives money to Teal Speakerwoman*
Teal Speakerwoman: *Russian speaking* Thank you! Plus, a little surprise! *gives 200.000 & 100.000 goers to PV-ENA*
PV-ENA (serious): Woah! That's a LOT!
But wait, are you...rich enough to give me these?
Teal Speakerwoman: *Russian speaking* Of course I do! I always rich enough! People remembered me & my place.
PV-ENA (serious): Okay...now, time to save the Spiff Wizard! Oh, and the adopted pets of Kyle too!
Even with the mission of finding the Villa!
Part 6 coming soon...

it actually does blow my mind the extent to which people do not understand how abstracted the role of a gig economy worker is from how we would conventionally understand "a job". services like doordash are structured in such a way that circumvents having to legally or financially acknowledge dashers as employees-- to the point where they describe doordashing as merely being "a connection" between businesses and customers as opposed to an actual delivery service. there is no standard level of service dashers are expected to provide because they receive no formal training on performance (how theyre rated is entirely on the whims of you, the consumer!), are not compensated in proportion to the work they actually do, do not have legal protections in place that would enable them to say no to unsafe work conditions (let alone cover a parking ticket theyd get making a hasty delivery), receive PTO, or any other benefits that would make achieving a certain level of service beyond "bring item from point A to B" at all fair. if your doordash order gets to your home in a less than satisfactory way, it should not be a betrayal of expectation, it is literally what you are paying for (and even at that doordash will normally refund you with no questions asked lol). people who attempt to hold dashers "accountable" for poor service are missing the forest in the trees (<- least homicidal way I can criticize consumerbrain)

Modifiers Are Coming To Pressure (Supposedly), So I Made More Modifier Concepts
So I’ve heard that apparently modifiers might be coming to Pressure in a future update, and since I’ve made a post about potential Pressure modifiers before, I’ve decided to make more modifier concepts to celebrate.
The way it (hypothetically) works remains the same as last time: modifiers have their own unique shop in the lobby and can be bought with Kroner, but can also be unlocked by obtaining certain badges, completing runs with other modifiers, or by other vague means. Let’s begin:
Hunted 2.0 - The Crooked follows you through the Hadal Blacksite. In place of an Angler, Pipsqueak can also spawn, as well as Rebarb (but only if the player has the means to scare it off. If they lack any Flash Beacons, Rebarb will not spawn/will despawn as soon as it is out of sight). Requires the Hunted or Hunt: MEGA Edition badge.
Gone Fishing - Only regular Angler can spawn instead of any of its variants. This includes Pandemonium, A-60, and Death Angel. Requires the badges WAR and Hi Again, with an added cost of 100 Kroner.
Paranoia Fuel - All doors show a blank screen on them. The only way to tell how far you are into the game is by reaching certain checkpoints. Comes with a cost of 150 Kroner.
Groundhog Day - Every room (with certain exceptions such as Sebastian’s Shop and the Ridge) looks exactly the same, with its only randomised traits being data/items, potential hazards, and wether or not it is in a blackout. Unlocked by the badge Where’s My Win?
One-Hit Wonder - You start the game with one point of health, but you can recover it. Unlocked by beating all game modes (except for Endless, duh) at least once.
Why Would You Even Want To Play With This Modifer - You only have one point of health, and you cannot recover it by any means. Unlocked by the Extra Careful badge, by completing a run with the One-Hit Wonder modfier, and by getting at least 10 wins in the regular game mode.
Quicker than Quick - SPR-ints are more common. Their speed increase is far less noticeable, but does not fade with time, deals no damage, and stacks over multiple uses. Costs 75 Kroner and requires the badge I’m Outta Here!
Loyal Customer - Sebastian’s Shop spawns every 25 floors. Requires at least five items unlocked in the Dead Drop Shop, and the badge Just Good Business, with an added cost of 130 Kroner.
Watch Your Step - Landmines and Tripwires are more likely to spawn. Requires the badge Who Cares About OSHA? with an added cost of 200 Kroner.
Looter’s Paradise - Not only are items slightly more common, but every item has an equal chance of spawning. Requires that you have picked up every (non-dev exclusive) item in the game at least once, with an added cost of 50 Kroner.
New Paint Job - Paints the walls throughout the run a new colour and makes Abstract Art slightly more likely to spawn. Changes absolutely nothing else. Requires the document for Abstract Art with an added cost of 25 Kroner.
Headachequarters - A random piece of HQ dialogue plays every time you open a door, alongside the times they’re supposed to play. Unlocked by the badge Pardoned with an added cost of 100 Kroner.
A Face Full of Lead - The Redeemer spawns in every room. Requires the badge Zero, and for you to have opened a drawer containing the Redeemer at least five times without picking it up, with an added cost of 250 Kroner.
