Back on stimulants, walking around campus like a robotic zombie. I have no feelings when the ADHD meds kick in. Dangerous and sociopathic with no racing thoughts. I realize I’m only nice when I’m hyperactive. Meth pills make me sleep. My psychiatrist is totally jealous of my psychic abilities.

Additionally, Adderall Generic Name may also be prescribed for narcolepsy, a sleep disorder characterized by excessive daytime sleepiness. It can help alleviate the excessive daytime sleepiness and improve wakefulness during the day.

5. Increased heart rate and blood pressure: Adderall can increase heart rate and blood pressure, especially in individuals with underlying cardiovascular conditions.
6. Increased appetite: Adderall can cause an increase in appetite, leading to weight gain in some individuals.
Contraindications

- Individuals with a history of substance abuse: Adderall should not be prescribed to individuals with a known history of substance abuse, as it can increase the risk of addiction.
- Individuals with glaucoma: Adderall may increase the risk of eye pressure, exacerbating glaucoma.
- Individuals with hyperthyroidism: Adderall may worsen symptoms of hyperthyroidism, such as a rapid heart rate and restlessness.
- Individuals with cardiovascular disease: Adderall may worsen certain cardiovascular conditions, such as arrhythmias or high blood pressure.
- Individuals with liver or kidney impairment: Adderall should be used with caution in individuals with liver or kidney impairment, as the drug may accumulate in the body and have harmful effects.
Dosage and Administration

first day on concerta instead of Adderall and i haven't read a price wrong yet 🎉
i used to do this thing where I'd lock onto the wrong number and start reading from there while i was on it
but also without the jitters and gnawing hunger I don't know if it's working
then again i just did some dishes and didn't have to drag my ass to do it so i suppose it is working

I was on the adhd subreddit (trying to figure out if Adderall XR works better on a full or empty stomach) and I found a discussion where multiple people talked about how hard mid-level math was, because they couldn't memorize formulas. So they had to derive the formulas from scratch on the fly during tests.
And I just had another holy-shit moment, because I DID THAT. That was one of the reasons I hated math so much! I had to reverse engineer mathematical formulas for literally every single question on tests, if I wasn't able to secretly write the formula on my hand or the desk.
Just. Fuck. Okay, another realization that puts my life in context. I could never memorize boring things, no matter how much I desperately wanted to. 'Swhy I couldn't do med school, I couldn't memorize the steps of the Krebs cycle.
Fuck. I was out there proving mathematical concepts on a daily basis and wondering why I was so dumb.
Fuck adhd.

"You really should be outgrowing this adhd thing by now, most people only need it for school and then can manage fine without it in adulthood." That's good for them. I am happy for them. Thrilled even. But I am not one of them. I am one of the ones who needs this medication so that I do not get into a dangerous situation by getting off at the wrong bus stop.

☕️: What time of the day do you prefer to write?
ooooh great question!!
in general, i am at my most productive between 11am-8pm. found this out during grad school and it's pretty much stuck with me ever since. so when i was writing for kinktober, my schedule was something like the following:
6:30am: wake up and lay in bed reading all of y'alls wonderful comments <3
7:30am-11am: actual job (god bless being permanently remote and also part-time)
11:30am-8:00pm: writing writing writing with job-related tasks as they came up, and my partner occasionally force feeding me lunch and/or dinner. or sometimes dragging me out for a walk to get some outside time.
i know a LOT of y'all out there seem to write best in late at night, but that could literally not be further from the truth for me. ya girl needs her sleep, otherwise she turns into the crankiest gremlin of a human you could possibly imagine lmao
