Exclude .dat files from Kodi movies/tv/video scans
You can exclude certain filetypes from showing up as movie files within Kodi through an advancedsettings.xml file.
1. Open Windows Explorer, and paste %appdata%\Kodi\userdata into the address bar and press Enter. * This is a hidden folder, but it should still take you there.
2. Under the View menu, make sure "File Name Extensions" is enabled.
3. If there is no advancedsettings.xml file, right-click an empty area and click New > Text Document (don't worry about the name yet).
4. Open this file, and paste this code into it: <advancedsettings> <videoextensions> <remove>.dat</remove> </videoextensions> </advancedsettings>
5. Save the file, close it, then rename the file & extension from "New Text Document.txt" to advancedsettings.xml * Make sure you are renaming the .txt extension as well or this won't work.
6. Quit then reopen Kodi.
7. Go to Settings > Media > Library > Videos... Right click on a source you need to fix, click Change Content. Change content from Movies to None, click Ok. Repeat for all sources you need to refresh, * Or simply delete the MyVideos###.db file from the %APPDATA%\Kodi\userdata\Database folder (to delete your videos database and automatically set your video sources to None).
8. Go to Settings > Media > Library, click on the button in lower left that says Standard to switch to Advanced mode.
9. Now on that screen under Library > Video Library, click Clean Library
10. Now go back and change your video sources from None to Movies (or Tv if that's what you're doing).
11.Click Ok to perform a rescan of the video sources as well.

Bu yazımda sizlere VSAN ‘ın menüsünde yer alan Advanced Options bölümündeki seçeneklerden bahsedeceğim. Daha önce yazmış olduğum VSAN makalelerine aşağıdaki linkten ulaşabilirsiniz. vSphere 6.7 Update 1 ile birlikte bir çok yenilik geldi bunları sizlerle paylaşıyorum. Aslında bugün belirteceğim özellikler daha önce VSAN’ da vardı ancak User Interface üzerinden bunları kontrol edemiyorduk. vSphere 6.7 Update 1 ile birlikte artık bazı seçenekleri User Interface üzerinden kontrol edebiliyoruz.

  Şimdi kısaca bu seçeneklerin ne işe yaradığından bahsetmek istiyorum.
Object Repair Timer:
VSAN kullanılan ortamlarda aslında oldukça sevdiğim bir özelliktir. VSAN cluster’ında bir hata veya bir maintenance durumuna girdiğinde farklı host’lar üzerinde bileşenleri yeniden oluşturmadan önce nekadar bekleyeceğini belirler. Default olarak bu değer 60 dakika olarak ayarlanmıştır. Eğer siz isterseniz bu değeri değiştirebilirsiniz. Object Repair Timer ile ilgili aşağıdaki makalemde detaylı bilgi vermiştim.
VSAN – Resyncing Objects
Eğer isterseniz Object Repair Timer‘i değiştirebilirsiniz. Test etme amacı ile 15 dakika ayarlayabilirsiniz. Eğer siz 15 dakikadan uzun bir maintenance işlemi yapacaksanız, object repair timer’i 15 dakika girmeniz durumunda 15 dakikayı aştığnızda otomatik olarak bileşenler farklı host’lar üzerinde yeniden oluşturulmaya başlanacaktır. VMware burada Object Repair Timer’i 60 dakika olarak bırakmanız�� öneriyor. Eğer süreyi çok kısa tutarsanız bu sefer gereksiz bir network trafiği ve yüksek I/O oluşacaktır. Buna dikkat edilmesi gerekiyor. Eğer bir ESXi host’un update işlemini yapacaksanız, ki genellikle bu işlem için vSphere Update Manager kullanılıyor. Update Manager‘in ESXi host’u reboot etmesi ve patch’leri yüklemesi 15 dakikadan uzun olabilir. Ancak 60 dakika kadar hiç bir zaman sürmez. Bundan dolayı Object Repair Timer’i çok değiştirmenizi önermiyorum.

Bir VSAN Cluster‘ı kurduğunuzda RAID-1 sayesinde bütün sanal sunucularınızı ve objelerini korumuş sayılırsınız. Böylece verileri tüm kopyalardan eşit bir şekilde okursunuz. VSAN Stretched Cluster ‘da ise bu durum biraz daha farklı. Stretched cluster ‘da biliyorsunuz ki farklı site’lar kullanılıyor. Yani asıl kullanım şekli böyle. Stretched cluster ile ilgili aşağıdaki makalelerimi inceleyebilirsiniz.
VSAN – Cluster Seçenekleri Nelerdir?
VSAN Stretched Cluster
VSAN Stretched Cluster kullanıyorsanız site arasındaki bağlantı oldukça önemlidir. Bazı durumlarda düşük bant genişliğine bazı kullanıcılar sahip olabiliyor. Böyle bir durumda diğer site üzerinden kopya okumak istediğiniz bu size latency ve yavaşlık olarak geri dönecektir. VSAN bu sorunu ortadan kaldırmak için remote site’dan veriyi okumak yerine Fault Domain ‘de yer alan kopyalardan verinin okunmasını istiyor. Böylece site’lar arasındaki bağlantının sature olmamasını ve daha düşük bir kullanım olmasını sağlar. Bu işlem normalde otomatik olarak zaten yapılıyor ancak vSphere 6.7 U1 ile birlikte advanced options bölümünden bunu değiştirebiliyoruz.

En beğendiğim özelliklerden birtanesi de Thin Swap özelliğidir. 8 GB memory’e sahip bir virtual machine olduğunu düşünelim. FTT=1 ise disk üzerinde 8×2 yani toplamda 16GB alan tutacaktır. Tabi ortamınızda 1000 tane virtual machine ve bunların her birinin 8GB memory’e sahip olduğunu düşünürseniz, disk üzerinde bir hayli alana ihtiyacınız olacaktır. Swap dosyaları ile ilgili daha önce aşağıdaki gibi bir makale yazmıştım.
Reserve All Guest Memory Seçeneği Nedir?
Eğer ki memory rezervasyonu yapmıyorsanız virtual machine’in sahip olduğu memory kadar disk üzerinde bir swap alanı oluşturulur. Swap alanını hiç kullanmasanız bile disk üzerinde bu miktar otomatik olarak ayrılır. Normal şartlarda bu seçeneği VSAN ‘da powercli ile aşağıdaki komut vasıtası ile değiştirebilmekteydik. Ancak vSphere 6.7 U1 ile birlikte artık bunu advanced options bölümünden değiştirebiliyoruz.

Eğer thin swap kullanırsanız disk üzerinde swap alanı, ESXi’dan memory ihtiyacı karşılanamadığı takdirde kullanılmaya başlanır. Böylece datastore’da saving sağlamış olursunuz.

 Launch ads on Facebook, Instagram and Google

 For example, Facebook and Instagram is obviously tied because it's the samecompany and we have Google separated. Tech talk is coming really soonand the other ones will be coming later. Now, when you click on these, youthe actual ad spent accounts on this one. Now heads up, you can only connect one ad account for, for example, Facebook,Instagram and the Google.
 And in those accounts,if you have multiple, multiple accounts assigned to youin that email account, you will view them right here and youcan separate them by businesses. So one single ad account,but if those at accounts have several ones inside of those, you can manageall those inside of here. Quick overview. You obviously the analytics for this,the ad spend the the currency that's going to appear,it's going to be tied to your account. So mine is Mexican pesos. So automatically it just detectedit and it's showing it on pesos. Right.So you can see right here MX and if you can be right there, that we cando analytics right here three at a time.

 So you can adjust the budget and other things that we can do is turn on and offthe status of these ads without having to go into Facebook anymore or anything like that. And just reminding me of that, you have to have your ownads account already built. Right, so you can connect it. So basic analytics there. If we want to create a report for this,the reports are pretty simple. You click on this options right here. You can download and SVG, which is an image and see ASV.All right. So no white label reports with yourown logo or something like that. This is simple.All right. Next thing we have that I want to show you before we actually createan ad is the accounts. This is where we connect. I already connected my Facebook and Instagram account righthere at my Google account. I don't have options to connect more. But like I said before, for example, in my Google accounts, I have threelinked accounts inside of there. So when I create a business,I can link it to it. That's the benefit. 
TikTok is coming soon and other platformsare coming also for the businesses. I created one right here which is connected and I can createa brand new business. So for example, I can add a logoand this is what's called a test. I won't be adding a logoand all connected to Google. Right.I'm going to show you what happens. OK, so here you can view I have threeaccounts in my main account so I can select which account is going to belinked to this business I just created. And that's in a way, how it works.All right. It's important that you know this because you can't connect multiple countswithout having it link to the main one. Next thing we have is let's gointo the settings right here, because I want to show you the subaccountinformation here in the subaccount. I only have one because I got one code. 
And this is just for testing purposes because I don't really needsomeone to help me with that. But if I need it, I have one subaccount which like I mentioned before,it's considered a team account. Now, in the Zoom account, I decidewhich business is assigned to it. So, for example, this business that Ihave, I only have one credit right now. It's assigned to it and they can use it. If not, they can't do anything.All right. And I can give them accessto read only or editor. Now, this could be really helpful.
 For example, if you're have a business account for some clientand you want them to view the stats and all of that, will you give youthe read only so they can just view it? The bad thing about it is like they see it's at you need it's not your own logo,it's not custom domain. So they can view thatsomething that might not worry you. But if you want to look professional,I guess you want all of those little things right, like the white label,everything to have is the dark mode. I want to give thema little feedback on this that I love, that I use. I use dark mode in basically everything. But the thing I don't like about this dark mode is like the color blue is kind oflike in neon, 
so it doesn't help a lot. And the letters right here,the the text is gray should be white because we should be ableto view it clearly at least. Right.So heads up. I hope the team sees this videoand they do something about it. All right.The good part. The fun part.Let's go create an ad. You can exit the account. You created the business. It's connects and you get to go. I mean, this is boom boom fast. Like I mentioned before, it's simplicity. Now we can create the ad. Now we have two options. Do you want to create for Facebook,Instagram or Google? Let's go ahead and trythe Facebook, Instagram. I'll select in and I could create the ad to appear on Facebook and Instagramor just Facebook or Instagram. Now, before I proceed, I just want to sayall the settings that are going to be right here, you can actually do thisdirectly with the ads account. So go directly into Facebook ads and I can do this with even way more settings,which could be overwhelming. The thing about I hate Facebook is thatthey're always changing the platform. So if this month you learned how to do something next month,it's like, what the hell? They change all the buttons everywhere. 
And if you guys do ads,you know what I'm talking about. All right. So let's choose bothof the platforms right here. And like I said, simplicity easy. What's going to happen? Do I want to get traffic to my websiteconverging on my website likes and comments on my postgenerate leads with with. Yeah, with lead forms and catalog sells. Some of these require a pixel for your website that are thatand you can select these. So it's pretty muchstraightforward and basic. But let's just say I wantto take people to my website. Let's call this SaaS Master.
 And this is not related to credit,employment or housing. That's something that's required by Facebook directly that you letthem know if it has to do with that. Next thing is I have to select thelocations where I want this to display. So, for example, if I want to display United States, I'll justclick on that and also. Go ahead, United Kingdom at. The ones that you want, right,for example, if this was for English, then I select a bunch of countriesthat speak English, right? Next thing we have is the age range. So, for example, this could be a product that's for, I don't know, maybe it'svitamins for adults 50 and over. Well, let's go it over here. Maybe they are already conscious at 47 or maybe they are alreadylooking for those vitamins. 
So 47 upwards, maybe theseveterans are not for over 65. So just keep it.Sixty three. Is this for a male or female? I mean, if you're selling lingerie for women, then you probablyjust want to target women. You get selected right here. You can edit this later on. OK, let's see. We have a clue.People who match. Right. So, for example, we have thesealready interests created right here. I wish it was more complex. And if I searched for something,for example, I don't know, vitamins, it doesn't search. That's a feature they should have,but it's not there. And the other way is we can createa custom audience interest behaviors. So, for example, custom orders rightthere create the custom audience.
 And I can read them basedon the website customer list. Is I out of available theirFacebook page or look alike. Audience look alike. Audience could be for example,for my SaaS Master, select the country, select whatever and similarity to thoseaudience that's already in that page. So it helps you create that audience. Like I said, simple, straightforwardand the audience name. Oh didn't select anything. I'll just choose holidays. Next step.All right. And this is going to be single imagecarousel story or

But if it's not like they're providing the service, it's just a connection whereyou can edit there and it just goes. The immature in this case will justdrag in this image for testing units before that to upload. And we'll view a preview on the right keyrecommendations, they said, like a square image 1080p by 1080p,the name, I'll just say and I can create another one right here,but I want to go next. Right.And next thing we have is the budget. Right. So we have already the summaryof the audience and the ads in total. It's just one there's not variants of this ad. And what is the budget of this one? I can say 20 pesos a dayor the total ad spend. So, for example, if I say, you know what, I want this to pass over two hundredpesos or two thousand pesos. Right. I can set that total budgetor I could say daily budget. I would say, for example,200 pesos and I could set the end date.
 Heads up, don't make a mistake and don't keep it like this becauseit's going to keep on going. And every single day it's going to use that ad spend and youmight get a surprise. So set the end date.Right. So, for example, I wantthis to end in a week. OK, so it's going to spent twohundred pesos daily for a week. All right. The idea we could say that'sa draft or we can publish it. I'll just say it as a draftboom that's saved. I can create a similar campaignor go back to dashboard. So like I said before, simplicity,easy to use, easy to make. Now create another add.
 Let's go into Google now. Google, we have dynamic searchand display ads is coming soon. I wish they had this already. I mean, if they're launching,they should have had it. So we used the dynamic ad for now. So we have to type of settings traffic tomy website and conversion on my website. You do need to have the analyticsconnected and have the UTM parameters set so it detects when there'sa conversion rate. So in this case, we'll just create a simple onewhere the traffic goes over there. And I'll just say again,SaaS Master next step location, just put whatever, you know, didn't work. United States you can to your sides. Again, they're at website.In this case. I'll have my own website. SaaS Master done that. 
All right, let's go ahead and at that,we can add the website. What website? What is the launch of thiswebsite selected here? What is the target audience? Language, English and English.Obvious, right. Audience name. This one is test. Next step is the ad type. So in this case, we're doing a display of what we're actually goingto display when we're doing it. So, for example,again, we're going to keep it simple and you can view of what's going on there right now for sixty nine and you give youthat what's going on there. Dynamically generated headline. We can add another variant of this one. We can create a new one or duplicate,for example, duplicate. And we're viewing two ads right here. It's the same oneor just two there and two. 
All right.So we're playing this one and there's two. And we can edit these and add morevariants of this add we can add extensions to them,for example, site link extensions, add the information call-out,extension cord extension and so on. Right.So they're ready to go again. Budget is going to be ten pesos daily. This one doesn't give youthe option for the total. And again, don't forget to add this dateright here because you don't want to spend too much and thenfind out that you owe Google a bunch of money because you didn't knowit was an ongoing ad thing, right? Save as draft or publish. Now, things I found lacking right here is that they don't have a costper click that you can set. So I wish they added that there was we added all of these again,we can view them, each one here. So, for example, these are past ads. 
I can turn them off to remind you thedetails added the details for each one. These ads right here don't have a lot of details built into them because thoseads that I use are for YouTube ads and they don't integrateyet with the with YouTube. So you can create video ads here yet. And I'm not sure if they're goingto add something like that. So these are most based for browsers. Now, like I said before, this is good. If you're looking for simplicity,something fast, something that you want, someone that doesn't have a lotof knowledge to make the ads,
 or if you don't want to go in througha lot of steps, then just do it right here really fast without going into eachplatform and doing everything. The bad part about it, like I said before, it's not super and that there's not a lotof options, which is something that, for example, I look for becauseI like to tweak my ads more. And the other things that I find lacking is that they don't have,for example, automations. Animations would be let megive you a quick example. And animation could be something likelet's just say I created an ad right now. But if that ad didn't receive any clicks in 48 hours, then notify me becauseI have to do something right. I have to, I don't know, tweak it. 
I have to add the budgetlike something like that. Or let's just say that the cost perclick was costing me five dollars. I'm like, whoa, let's stop that adbecause I'm not in that budget right now. That's too much for me.So I could turn it off. So I get those alerts.Those are the automation's that I'm talking about and I hopethey add stuff like that. But for now they're not mentioning it. And that's something that I find lackingthat I really want right next to. And I just want to show youthe road map. It's pretty simple for now. Tick-Tock is in progress. It's coming really soon from what I see and what's in development soon,the final view of the dashboard, more friendly create ads on phonesif you want to make quick ads there.
 Like I said, these guys are lookingfor simplicity and just making it quick. I don't find it attractive to create ads on my phone, but some people might,and it just makes it simple for them. And future Google smart display ads comein a Facebook dynamic creative ads cross platform dashboard and they're looking forvotes on this one Autobus existing posts. And that's what what'shappening for the road map. I bet you and I don't want to be negative. I want to be positive about this. I bet you that they're planning to getthe feedback on the deal right now for people who's lookinglike just like this video. Right.I'm looking for this. I'm looking for that. And there will be makingthis roadmap even better. That's what I'm thinking and hoping for. That's what they're going for. So let's wait for that.Well, there you go, guys.
