in a very weird twist of fate, my old job has become available at my former company and the salary is 50% more (!!!) than what i earned when i left.

i left bc a) some people had left and i ended up working crazy hours to cover their stuff, and b) bc they created a manager job and passed me over for it to hire someone incompetent. she was so bad that all 3 of her direct reports resigned within 9 months.

ANYWAY. she is leaving, it looks like, and this job is now up for grabs. the job spec is literally my old job exactly but with the managerial job title and salary... which, lmao.

and as much as i had an issue with the company when i left (re the salary, the crazy workload, my manager) i did really enjoy my actual day to day job. and i really cared about the company and its mission too. that sort of fulfillment is hard to find. and if i could go back without the crazy workload, a much better salary, and without this terrible, terrible line manager, then... maybe i should?!

so i reached out to the hiring manager (who i know but was not in the business at the time) to be like UM CAN WE CHAT PLEASE??? bc i want to get some more info before i decide if i want to apply.

we're talking on thursday morning. ahhh!!! i am scared but also excited.

But I ultimately might would go for the house #JUST becuase it would be my Dream House which means it would already meet mostly all of my specifications #and what I might be looking for. which would save a lot of time searching or customizing/rennovating.#Also because I could use that as a way to leave the US lol.. like .. if I get to choose my dream location.. couldnt I just choose some othe #country?? But I wonder how that works. Can you legally 100% have full ownership of a property in a country yet not be a citizen of that #country?? Would you show up and be like 'erm.. i own this house.. so i shall now live in it' and theyd be like 'uh no. you cant live here #despite owning the house. leave.' ??#So I think the initial process of 1. scraping together funds to actually MOVE myself and my most valuable belongings physically #TO another country. and 2. figuring out how to STAY in that country . might end up being difficult.. BUT. if I could just work that #part of things out then.. dream house?? security for once in my life?? stability?? :0 #Though the $1mil is enticing it's also like.. “This thing is legally dubious and therefore technically unenforceable.” Is not a “useless liberal gotcha” it’s how legalism works in this country. Tying up stupidly worded EOs in court is the quickest way to keep them from being implemented. It is the definition of “doing something.” But it doesn’t usually involve much tweeting so of course a certain type of leftist feels obligated to mock it.

#challenging an EO in court keeps it from being implemented for a very long time and that’s a good thing #not only does it *not get implemented* for usually at least a year as it gets appealed over and over again #it also distracts conservative resources from going full steam ahead because they have to dedicate resources to defending their bullshit in #and the dumber their bullshit is the longer it takes to defend and the less they can get done #this is materially good so yes saying ‘this EO is poorly worded and can be interpreted to mean that all people are now female’#is a valid point to make

Peeta buring the bread and tossing some to her then taking a beating from his mom is a HUGE thing in the books.#he used his resources to help her like you all said someone should.#district 12 DID (rip) care about Katniss before the hunger games. why do you think she was allowed to hunt? or how her trades were good #these are the little ways 12 can shows Katniss they love her. but again Katniss doesn't see this and YES its because she had ptsd before the #hunger games as well. i swear some of you make it seem like d12 was all living a life of luxury and glaring down at Katniss.#other things that show Katniss is in hight standing with at least her people of d12 is her dad was known enough through d12 for peeta dad to #comment on his singing along with his commenting on her mom. also her mom is a healer in the community. yeah her parents arnt the top but #of d12 but they are/were definitely high staning in the Seam.
